Fantastic evening with Andre Rieu – delicious food and prompt drink service. Thanks to all the hard-working staff for a wonderful evening.

Actually, a nearly impossible rating. We were there because a certain André Rieu was giving a concert. How the people from Restaurant Vrienden van het Vrijthof organized their contribution was and is: PHENOMENAL. The food itself, for such a large group, gets 4 stars because it was such a large group.

We were there for the André Rieu concert and had booked the "terrace" arrangement. We received an excellent welcome and were shown to our seats. The food was delicious, considering the crowd, and the service was really excellent. Drink orders were taken quickly, and the waiters were very prompt and friendly. Requests for extra ice for the champagne cooler were also handled immediately. The fact that you're relatively far from the stage can't be blamed on the restaurant; that's simply due to the location. However, the seating is very pleasant under the trees, and there's enough space to dance and party later in the evening.

Booked a terrace arrangement Andre Rieu. During dinner there were tents set up. Too many tables and chairs for the amount of tents. The outer row sat with the chair in the rain. Plate under the tent. The inner row could not sit, because the neighbor behind sat against the chairs. Tried to cram everything under the tent so that you could not sit. Chairs were wet from the rain. ask one of the staff, who is chatting with about 8 colleagues, if they want to dry the chairs. She says; I don't have time for that" The regulations state that before Andre starts you can eat dry, or under a tent, or under a parasol, or inside. NOT SO!

We went to see André Rieux. The food was delicious but unfortunately only lukewarm. The view of the screen is very good, but it's too far away for a view of the stage.

Carpaccio was supposed to be with Parmesan cheese, but it was regular cheese. After complaining, we were told that we should have reported this in advance. We can assume that the dish is served as indicated on the menu. Also, the hot chicken sandwich was not hot/spicy at all but rather very bland in taste.

Joined Rieu. Service left much to be desired. Asked 6 times (from different employees) for a slice of lemon. Unfortunately never received. Food was average. I think it was a bit too busy for service. Too bad, should be an evening to remember.

So I was very positively surprised after the recessions, service was great, food was very tasty and also warm, the girls and boys really threw themselves into the effort to cope with the crowd and were friendly and helpful at all times, with a smile on their faces, TOP

Place for André Rieu was fine. Very pleasant atmosphere and employees. Food of lower quality and cold, perhaps due to the crowd, I understand that. A lot of waste because no one ate those balls. 1 made us feel nauseous. So the place and atmosphere and employees are excellent. Substandard food. Consumptions very expensive.

This was the restaurant which we chose when we went to see Andre Rieu in Maastricht. A great position, on the right hand side looking at the stage. Large screens are surrounding the square. The restaurants food was more than adequate and the service, superb!

Was on the terrace during Andre Rieu concert. Neat reception. Conveniently order via the app and pay immediately. A bit rude to immediately ask for a tip of 0.50 or 1 € with every order. Maybe this was just because of this fantastic music evening. .the dinner was very minimal and a really big menu (vreetschuur menu) sat balls were horrible, give me a bitterbal, really Dutch! But nevertheless it was a spectacular evening with a beautiful view of the stage. Thx

Great during terrace arrangement! Well arranged in advance, beautiful name cards, clear payment system. Excellent alternatives arranged for vegetarians, great staff. The "boss" kept a close eye on everything. Definitely worth repeating!! Big compliment!!

It was striking that you can get dry wine by the glass here, only by the bottle. There is also no flexibility to do so. For the rest it was okay. Now a week later I get a reminder that I forgot to pay for a bottle of wine that we did not have or ordered. Emailed this to them. A few days later a slightly more unfriendly email with a threat from a bailiff. Ballentent, does not have its affairs in order and tries to pass on their incompetence to customers. It is better to ignore this matter.

Cozy restaurant, good and tasty food at an affordable price.

Booked via social deal. The service is excellent; the boys walk with their legs out from under their bodies. They retain their humor and neat manners, there is nothing to criticize about this. The beef tartare, the celeriac soup were sour (it was not good. It did not resemble celeriac.) The salad and the pumpkin soup tasted good. We hope that those responsible will learn from this. Good luck and put a man in the service.

Too bad for the service. She tried to make something of it. But after three hours of waiting, two of the four courses were served. People who left the business disappointed, we left the business. 1 star is actually still too much for this business.

We had made a reservation for 7:30 tonight, but the starter didn't arrive until after 1 o'clock. An hour later the main course arrived and at 8 past 9 still no main course! Unbelievable what poor service, I have never experienced this before. So we got up at half past nine and went home, without a main course. Poor reception; despite reservations, placed at the back among the empty wine bottles in a chilly environment; the menu mentions tenderloin steak, but unfortunately it is not available.

It's OK. A quiet and somewhat boring atmosphere inside. The food is tasty, although there is little dynamism in the service. It's all just something to wait for.

It's a cozy place, which doesn't have lots of space, but they have delicious food and a very good service. The place is a little pricy but the quality of the food makes it worth it, expect something like 26-35 per person.

Very mediocre experience. Ate via Iens with the ah restaurant promotion. We were informed about the additional charge of 5 euros per person for the steak, while they pretend to be a steak restaurant, and the choice is very limited. When paying, there is also an additional 5 euros per person for the starter, because it (beef tartare) is more expensive than the soup. We were not told this. Wine is very expensive and when we ask for water for the table we get 1 glass instead of a carafe. Bad service. It takes a long time for the food to arrive, even though there were only 10 tables of 2 people. It's that you can't give 0 stars, way too much money for such a mediocre experience and no wow food...

We ate here with 4 people with Iens vouchers. The selection on the menu was very limited. We chose the beef tartare as a starter and 4 steak tenderloin as a main course, which we had to pay extra for. Since there was no wheat beer, we opted for a bottle of merlot. The starter was tasty but not special. The steak was good except my girlfriend's which was half the size of ours. The lettuce was forgotten. But it was still brought upon request. Only lettuce with tomato without dressing. The dessert was tasty. When we got the bill we were shocked. You also had to pay extra for the starter. For example, there is no added value in spending someone's vouchers in this case. The wine was very expensive. A bottle costs 29.50 a glass 4.50. I think you get 5 glasses from a bottle. The next day I called about this. Was not treated kindly. The lady said that only the soup in the menu had no additional cost. This is not mentioned on the map. Beautifully prepared food. But very little.

Breakfast with bubbles. Bongobon. Nothing wrong with it but also nothing that gives a reason to go back. Cold interior, unsightly set up buffet. Not a great offer. Not the least atmosphere. Service ok but again without a doubt. Bongo should perhaps edit his roster to a better level or is there enough control of their participants.

Had dinner there yesterday via Social Deal, had a great meal and the food tasted great. Also fast service and cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. Hehe.............finally enjoy it via social deal. Worth repeating

During our dinner, where only a few tables were occupied, it took more than an hour before the forest mushroom soup was served as forest mushroom broth, where the waitress placed it on the table with her thumb in the soup bowl. It was more like a beef broth that had been heated to around 35 degrees. Then we got a pulled pork sandwich, the temperature of which was nothing to write home about. Fortunately, the taste was still reasonable. The wait staff apparently doesn't know what etiquette is. In between serving, they frequently call the kitchen. I will not come here again, just like a number of other customers, who were also clearly audibly dissatisfied.....

The approach was downright square: There is virtually no room; you can come and eat if 'sir' wants, if he has room and that is almost never, except on a day when I don't want to! A customer (customer, 'sir') wants to eat out if he wants to! The food was downright bad! Vitello Tonnato was built on a Carpaccio (not a bad idea in itself) but was soaking wet. Not nice to eat wet Carpaccio!. The soup came straight from the wholesaler, but these 'customers' left it there. And the Sour Meat with fries and lettuce was downright disgusting! Straight from Sligro or Hanos, with soggy fries. Leave this as well. And there was no normal glass of water, but separate Spa drinks. Or as the clerk said: "tap water, we don't do that." Yes, and then we still had 2 vouchers left.......Asked whether they could be canceled out against the wine? No, it didn't work. But we definitely won't eat here again!! Very bad deal!! Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with this restaurant, we bought a 4 course dinner via Groupon and used it on May 7 It took forever for the 4 courses to arrive on the table, an average of 45 minutes to an hour per course. We have never had to wait that long for our food. The food was of mediocre quality, the steak we ordered was really red. fully cooked, a mistake was corrected, but it took another half hour. The staff said that the kitchen could not handle it, but it was not that busy at all. There were no asparagus dishes listed on the menu. In short, absolutely not recommended!
