We walked in without a reservation and were simply assigned a cozy table by the window. It was busy, but this did not detract from the service. It was polite, friendly, and reasonable. The food arrived quickly, and we had a delicious meal. The satay is highly recommended, along with the delicious fries. I will definitely be back!

Why always such thick sandwiches?

On 08/09/26, I dined at the beautifully situated Restaurant Zuiver in Amersfoort. The atmosphere and decor are also excellent. It was mainly the service and quality that fell short. As a starter, I ordered the Bread Board with only 2 dips (although the 2 dips were already indicated), but one of which, remarkably, consisted of mayonnaise. The bread board was served without starter plates, with the result that the entire table was covered in crumbs for the rest of the dinner. After ordering the Cauliflower Steak, I was later told by the constantly snorting, otherwise friendly waitress, that it was not available. With only 7 main courses, including 2 vegetarian options, I had to make do without a main course. The side dish, the Green Salad, was served as just some green lettuce leaves without any garnish or other ingredients, except for one stray cherry tomato. Even settling the bill did not go smoothly; the waiter did not return. Another waitress's payment terminal did not work. All in all, a shame, with such a beautiful location and cozy-looking restaurant.

Food: fried vegetables eaten almost raw. Portions small. Side dishes: fries were a small container with 5 fries for 8 people. Asked for more and received another container, again with 5 fries. The same applies to the salad side dish. Service: came across as uninterested and haughty. Also slow. Atmosphere: cold. Back door open, causing an unpleasant draft.

We had a delicious meal and received excellent service! We will come back here.

We had a pleasant lunch and the service was friendly. However, you really should ask the cleaning lady to clean above eye level as well. There were a lot of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, which I found quite disturbing.

Fine restaurant with good and fast service; the only downside was the cigar-smoking man sitting at a table further away on the terrace. It detracts from the taste experience while dining. Perhaps set up a separate section of the terrace for smokers?

The food at Restaurant Zuiver is always good. If you order 5 dishes, keep in mind that the main course can be quite substantial. But everything is really delicious.

We had a delicious meal at Zuiver. There were four of us, we had red snapper, tenderloin, steak tartare, and cauliflower tournedos. Everything was beautifully presented with fresh ingredients. The service was excellent, and very friendly and attentive. On top of that, it is a cozy restaurant with a lovely terrace. Highly recommended.

4 cappuccinos, 3 apple pies straight from the factory freezer with a dollop of whipped cream, and 1 red velvet pastry, and paying 41.20 for it. Downright scandalous, or was the chef on vacation? As a restaurant, you cannot serve your guests factory-made pastries that have also been frozen! They will never see me here again, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Regarding the menu, +/+ very good, very generous portions -/- too bad dishes from the evening menu were not available to order. A few of them should be possible, e.g. steak. We only had coffee with cake. The coffee for 7 people was lukewarm; one person got a new one. But we still paid the full price and only received an apology for the cold coffee. She hadn't received the report from her colleague, because that's who we told!

I had lunch at this restaurant, but more than half an hour had passed before we even received a menu. The staff paid absolutely no attention to us. We eventually ordered, but when we asked for a new cola, we never received one. We also thought the food was not that bad. We will not be coming back.

The lady who served did her best to give us, a small group of elderly people, a pleasant morning.

Nice restaurant, good parking, and friendly staff. Good food (beef tenderloin), but only a very small portion for a much too high price. In my case, the coffee tasted like dish soap, so I didn't drink it; the cost of the coffee was removed from the bill, though, but no apology or alternative was offered.

I found it a bit disappointing for the money. We chose the 5-course surprise menu. But with the exception of the 4th course, I found something to criticize about everything. And no, I'm not a picky eater; I'm usually easily satisfied. The service was friendly, but not very quick. Perhaps there is a shortage of staff; that is possible. But I do not recommend this restaurant and certainly won't be going here again. A shame.

Perfect Salade Niçoise, friendly staff. It's a shame that smoking is still allowed on the terrace, also because the tables are packed very closely together.

Terrible chicken tandoori sandwich. Just a plain bun with chicken fillet and tandoori spices on top. Nothing special. Sent everything back and went somewhere else. Shame.

Too expensive for the quality and quantity of food; the "tasting" starter, in particular, is heavily overpriced. Our experience of this restaurant is more like a luxury eatery, where people show up in Crocs and sweatpants. Lunch might be a better idea.

1 star for the service. We sat on the terrace for 20 minutes and were completely ignored during that time, while the tables next to us were being served normally. We tried to make eye contact and raised our hands for a long time, without success. In the end, we just left. Apparently, we were more welcome somewhere else.

The service is very friendly, but we had to wait quite a long time before we could place our orders. Our tip for the staff would be to look around to see if customers need anything. This way, you prevent people from getting irritated by the long wait.

It is a centrally located restaurant. I had expected to be more surrounded by nature, but it is actually a roadside diner. The ceiling lighting was quite bright and could not be dimmed. That created a cool atmosphere. The service was not attentive. We constantly had to call the waiters. I did not find the price-quality ratio correct. It is a pricey restaurant, but it does not live up to that in the service and atmosphere. The food was okay; the Surf & Turf, which is specially advertised, was tasty, although the potato rösti was a much too large piece in proportion and was deep-fried until hard. There was no lemon napkin or small bowl of lemon water to wipe your fingers with after you had finished peeling the two prawns. In short, we felt a few things were missing, especially in the details.

What a spirit this location has. Nice, friendly staff, delicious food. We were away for the weekend and this was our starting lunch; we enjoyed it.

What a wonderful experience we had at Restaurant Zuiver! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed incredibly warmly by the staff. You immediately notice that hospitality truly comes first here. Everyone was helpful, attentive, and actively thought along with us, which made the atmosphere extra pleasant. What we especially appreciated was the flexibility and the willingness to consider our wishes. Even though it wasn't really a given anymore, they still made the effort to make a high tea possible for us. We found that really wonderful and special — that little bit of extra service really makes the difference! The combination of the relaxed atmosphere, the delicious selection, and the genuine, friendly staff ensures that we look back on this with great pleasure. Absolutely recommended; we will definitely be back here again!

I don't often write about fellow hospitality colleagues, but I did have an unpleasant experience with the service. A dead simple roll that was as hard as one heated up in a microwave; I pointed this out to the waiter, and without him even checking, he said that couldn't be true because it was baked only half an hour ago! Otherwise, the food was fine, but the service... far below par.

We had lunch inside with 2 people. We found it very cold. In terms of atmosphere and price, we will not be coming back here. The service was very well aligned with our wishes, attentive, and we had plenty of time.

As a surprise, we went to Zuiver for a vegetarian 4-course menu. We were a bit disappointed for the price. Nice ingredients but lacking balance, virtually only vegetables (with a stray soybean, a few pieces of mushroom, and some pea puree). Virtually no protein, carbohydrates, and not much flavor. Textures and flavors didn't complement each other, and it sometimes bordered on very bitter. The vegetables were undercooked here and there, and the staff was a bit curt and rushed (though not unfriendly). Vegetarian (or plant-based) food can be so much more fun! And we experienced this often; it really wasn't worth the money. We both went home feeling a bit nauseous and unsatisfied; so much raw vegetable followed by a mountain of ice cream didn't sit well. For 120 euros, we expected more. We wouldn't recommend it. The restaurant where we were seated was also only 10-15% full and didn't feel very cozy.

Very poor value for money. In short, very expensive for what was served. Chicken fillet main course cost 26 euros without side dishes, which you have to pay for separately. A starter with goat cheese, which turned out to be a yogurt-like substance, cost 15 euros.

Good food, cozy atmosphere. Close to the highway. A great place for a nice dinner with people from different parts of the country.

Arrived at the restaurant at 10:15. Hadn't had breakfast yet, which was impossible here. The lunch menu is available from 11:00. A little later, I saw something on the counter that I would have liked to order, but it was exclusively for the staff. The visit was not a success.

Beautiful, classic, large building. Perfect for business lunches, dinners, or small parties. Excellent, professional service. The menu is reasonable. Good quality, but could be a bit more extensive and exciting. The surf and turf salad I had looked nice, but had too much vinaigrette and was therefore a bit too sour and watery.

Beautiful restaurant, but it's a shame they initially ignore you upon entering. Then, when you're seated at a table, they don't even ask if you'd like a drink. We only got up and left after fifteen minutes, as the staff were pacing around like blind horses and didn't respond. The food on the serving tray looked delicious, but unfortunately, we couldn't taste it. And it wasn't that busy: four tables by the window and a few guests at the bar.

When you call, you get a computer on the line. When you text, it's an AI chatbot. If it can't find an answer, it promises to have a real person respond, but you never hear back. Nice and personal, isn't it? They're not going to make it that way. I have no business being there anymore.

The restaurant had a cozy, warm atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food and wine were very disappointing. The plates were neatly presented and the dishes looked fine. Unfortunately, considering the price, the taste was a bit disappointing. We had the tenderloin steak and surf and turf for main courses several times. The steak was fine, but the vegetables (carrots and spring onions) were literally raw, a strange combination. The surf and turf tasted fine, but the fact that the shrimp were fried was a bit odd, not flavorful, and should have been mentioned on the menu. Furthermore, there was very little tenderloin (5 thin slices), which is outrageous for the price of €36.50. The table service was friendly but not very attentive. Drinks took a very long time to arrive, and the main course arrived just as we had finished our starter. This could have been handled more carefully. Unfortunately, we won't be returning, and we won't be recommending this restaurant to friends or family.
