Ron Gastrobar in Willemspark

We have eaten at Ron Gastrobar five times now, but unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience. There were a number of things that were very disappointing. We ordered a dish for two people, but ultimately received only two rather bare pieces of meat without any garnish or side dishes. Additionally, we had ordered fries with Parmesan cheese, for which an extra charge applies. However, the amount of cheese was minimal and completely disproportionate to the extra cost. The prices are also starting to get a bit out of balance. A glass of champagne as an aperitif costs €30 per person, and we ended up with a bill of €220, even though €30 had been deducted. It turned out afterwards that this is the standard deposit that is normally paid via the website. However, we had made a reservation by phone and were unaware of this. Finally, Spa Red was placed on the table without us asking for it. Subsequently, €5 was charged for every refill. Surprises like that make you feel less comfortable about the bill afterwards. It is a shame, because we always enjoyed visiting Ron Gastrobar. The quality and experience were precisely the reason we kept coming back. This time, however, we unfortunately felt the price-quality ratio was no longer balanced.

The dishes were of high quality, with fresh ingredients and a beautiful presentation. Additionally, there were various flavor combinations that were pleasantly surprising and clearly demonstrated that attention is paid to creativity and refinement in the kitchen. The wine suggestions were also excellent. The staff knew how to recommend the right wines that perfectly complemented the dishes, allowing the overall culinary experience to come into its own even better. What stood out most was the combination of hospitality, craftsmanship, and a relaxed ambiance. It is a place where you immediately feel welcome and where work is done with an eye for detail.

We recently had a delicious lunch at Ron Gastrobar. From the moment we arrived, we were received with exceptional warmth. Although it had been a few years since I had been to Ron Gastrobar, I was immediately recognized by manager Lindsey and Teun Blaauw, Ron Blaauw's son. That personal welcome immediately gave the afternoon a lovely start. We began with a glass of cava and then decided to order a selection of dishes from the menu. Among the items served were the chicken tacos, the Korean fried chicken, and the rendang croquettes, along with the now iconic Parmesan fries. Everything was of excellent quality and perfectly seasoned. To finish, we enjoyed the tiramisu, a beautiful and flavorful finale to the lunch. We were able to spend the afternoon relaxing in a warm, hospitable atmosphere, where service and quality were clearly of a high standard. A place where you can effortlessly stay seated and truly enjoy the moment. 🍽️✨

Reliably tasty food. Service can be hit or miss. Lovely terrace and smart indoor seating. Some of the prices have gone up quite a bit recently - prawn bisque starter at over 45Euro, I'm looking at you, come on!

I guess you wouldn't expect any less from a Michelin starred restaurant, however I feel compelled to share my experience. It started out great with my server offering me house pickled vegetables to start, and then came the oyster and aged ham cart. I've never seen anything like it and ordered two oysters off the cart and they were delicious. I asked my server Mike, for several recommendations and also wine pairings and he was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I started with the asparagus appetizer which was fantastic! The sauces were so sublime, I ended up asking for bread to sop it all up! Next came the glazed, boneless ribs with sambal on the side. Great presentation and now I know what Sambal is and love it!. Finished with a cheese course-fantastic. I just came from Paris and ordered cheese twice- both times it was straight out of the refrigerator. Not at Ron Gastrobar! The cheeses were deliciously room temperature. No notes! Keep doing what your doing.

We went for lunch today. The food was tasty and the service was good. However, we found the distance between the tables to be too small.

★★★★★ I walked in with sky high expectations, and wow, they still managed to blow me away! Every dish was a hit. You have to start with the bread, it is literally like eating a delicious cloud. From there, the Korean fried chicken was perfectly executed, and the tartare was a pure delight. But the absolute showstopper? The Wagyu with bone marrow. It was mind blowing and easily one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life. Oh, and you cannot leave without trying the spareribs! The service was a flawless 10 out of 10, and the funny little dessert at the end was the perfect way to wrap things up. (Fun fact: even their bathrooms are an experience you just have to see!). The only tiny miss for me was the basil cocktail, which was a bit too sweet and lacked that fresh basil kick. But overall? Alongside Night Kitchen resturant, this is hands down the best restaurant in Amsterdam. 100 out of 100 points!

What a stunning renovation! The staff is always friendly and attentive. Today I enjoyed sitting on the beautiful terrace and admiring the atmospheric decor. It is also very nice that there is sun protection.

Ron Gastrobar is a place that tries to force an atmosphere instead of creating a vibe that suits it. Waiters do not give you the menu straight away; rather, they give you three different ones before even presenting the main menu, making it feel very forced and more like they are trying to leech your money rather than provide amazing service. I had asked the waiter for a 500g ribeye steak and received the 300-gram one, which was far too expensive. The steak was also nothing out of the ordinary—it was not unique in any way, and honestly, I could have bought this steak in a restaurant that would have cost me a third of the price. In addition, the desserts are also not great. They recommended a dish that was not too impressive and had too much caramel, and their crème brûlée was nothing special either.

Great service but the food was a bit underwhelming for Michelin 1 star

We had a nice evening at Ron Gastrobar. The start was a bit confusing; they first asked if we wanted to order appetizers with our aperitif, and after we had ordered those, they came around with a cart of oysters and ham. The oysters were of good quality; I don't know about the ham. For appetizers, we ordered crispy onion (nothing special) and sui mai with truffle (very tasty). Overall, the food was good but pricey. To my surprise, we had to pay for the langoustine by the gram. I am used to getting carried away when I have to order things by the gram, but unfortunately, that didn't happen with this langoustine. The chef was a bit stingy with the sauce on the beef Wellington, which was a shame, but he made up for it by drowning the lettuce in the mayo-like dressing. The service was good. All in all, I didn't think the price-quality ratio was quite right... I think there are places where you can eat better for less money.

Nice, efficient service and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing. The langoustine was unfortunately not as expected, but the staff responded very well by immediately offering an alternative! The steak tartare was also far too salty for my taste. Compliments to the staff, as they really did their best to make the evening a success and handled the feedback professionally. Nevertheless, the food in particular ultimately fell short of our expectations.

Had this place recommended for the beef wellington, and it did not disappoint. Thank you off menu podcast for bringing it to my attention. The whole place seemed nice, and the food was great quality. Everyone had a nice time.

Lovely dinner experience from start to finish. Our hostess at the door was super lovely and recommended the chicken tacos which were excellent! I really also enjoyed the 3 varieties of oysters as well as the accompanying sauce choices. The onion starter was ok. Cauliflower with truffle was nice but I’m not sure how confident I feel about the taste of the sauce used (for my palate). In contrast the white asparagus dish was a gastronomy delight! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the sauces used - I had to restrain myself from licking the plate clean. Definitely recommend this dish! Our main was a lobster pasta, which was great - had these awesome crunchy bits and all together wonderful taste & texture. Service was super good - our server maintained wonderful awareness of when we needed something on the table and was there when we needed him to be. Our hostess at the end took some lovely photos of our party to commemorate the occasion! Wonderfully delighted at the end when the free ice cream dessert arrived at the end of the meal - left with a smile on my face. Overall great time, and plan to come back again!

Nice place, good food, easy parking.

At Ron Gastrobar, the evening starts exactly as you’d hope. A prompt welcome, smooth escort to the table, and a glass of bubbly and oysters on the table in no time. Fresh, sharp, and just right. For a moment, it feels like everything is perfect. Then things start to feel off. The menu and wine list take a long time to arrive. Eventually, we had to ask for them ourselves. That takes the flow out of it. Certainly at this level, you expect this to happen automatically. The first bites do arrive quickly, but at a moment when the glasses have been empty for a while. That contrast lingers. Fortunately, the sommelier handles it well. He sees it, anticipates, and sets glasses while the bottle is being prepared. That is the level you want to see. However, here it feels more like fixing things than directing. The bites themselves are fine. The rendang croquettes and crispy chicken taste good, although the latter is clearly too greasy. It is practically dripping off it. The Burgundy makes up for a lot. A nice match that brings the whole thing back into balance. The starter is disappointing. The cauliflower with truffle, normally a safe choice, is undercooked and sparse with truffle. For €28, you expect more than half a cauliflower with little flavor impact. This simply feels disproportionate. The beef wellington remains a classic, but here too, things just don't quite hit the mark. The meat tastes different than usual, and the ham is too overpowering. A shame, because this particular dish should be solid. The Bordeaux alongside it, on the other hand, is strong and lifts the whole thing up somewhat. The evening thus reveals two faces. Strong intentions, good wine choices, and a few beautiful moments. But also sloppiness in service, timing, and execution that you wouldn't expect here. If this is an isolated incident, fine. But if this happens more often, it will be touch and go whether the standard is maintained.

Today's itinerary in Galilee includes a meal at a Michelin one-star restaurant. It was delicious.

I’ve celebrated family birthdays at Ron Gastrobar three times and visited twice with colleagues — every time was a great experience. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere friendly and welcoming, and the staff add a personal touch with little surprises for the birthday guests. Highly recommended for both family celebrations and social dinners.

What we experienced yesterday at Ron Blauw was simply exceptional. My partner and I dined here, and it was, without a doubt, an absolute 10/10. This isn't just any restaurant—this is gastronomy at the highest level. Each dish was a masterpiece in itself—refined, perfectly balanced, and with a depth of flavor rarely encountered. They don't just cook here; they create. What truly sets this restaurant apart is its impressive consistency. In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants out there—perhaps even the best—precisely because it has maintained that exceptional level of excellence for years. That's no coincidence, but the result of vision, discipline, and absolute dedication to perfection. A special compliment to Chef Bas for his phenomenal craftsmanship and culinary precision. And a deep bow to Lindsay, the manager, whose professionalism, elegance, and impeccable sense of hospitality elevate the experience to an even higher level. This is service at the highest international level. Ron Blaauw isn't just a night out – it's a culinary experience you'll remember. One thing is certain: this remains our absolute number one.

I went there with two friends and had a great experience. The three of us shared six plates, and it was quite enough. My personal favorites were the iron steak with cabbage and the sea bass. Both were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The waiter who took care of us was very friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. The ambience was also a big plus with a slightly romantic vibe. I’d definitely recommend it not only for a night out with friends, but also as a great spot for a date.

For a restaurant with this reputation, the taste was very, very average and the service was just awful. Everything, even getting the menu, was delayed so much that we spent the whole evening just waiting. Nothing wow in what we ate - we were a company of four and ordered lots of starters and mains to share. Because of the Valentine's day crowd, the place was packed all night, I assume plates lacked any attention to detail because of the crowds. The worst part, though, was the complete lack of transparency. We ordered the "rib," which was listed with zero mention of it being pork. When the Beef Wellington arrived, I asked the waitress with frustration, if it contained pork (that's my fault, I should've known that ham is in the original recipe - yet not mentioned again) she said oh yes, and then casually mentioned the rib was a whole pork as well. We were devastated. Never in my life have I seen a Michelin-starred restaurant (or any restaurant, really) not mentioning a pork rib as a pork rib. The waitress said she was sorry and that she’d "make it up to me," (funny but that was all she can do) but all she did was remove the rib from the bill. The waitress wasn’t to blame—it’s clearly a management issue—but it ruined our night. If you have any dietary or religious restrictions, stay far away.

We had high expectations, but were severely disappointed. The service was poor, and the food was incredibly disappointing. We expected a lot, but it was truly awful. Steak tartare was €36, and it tasted like nothing and had a lot of tendons. It wasn't steak meat, but very sinewy. A piece of tartare from Lidl is of better quality and ten times cheaper. Not recommended! Go to your local pub for better quality.

One of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in my life. Everything we had, even including the fries, was great without exception. Cannot recommend more strongly.

Food was exceptionally good. They were able to make pretty much everything gluten free. Vegan options were a bit more limited for a friend that was with us. Unlike some other reviews they hadn't taken note of my celiac beforehand, but they gave me a gluten free menu on request. It was safe for me and I had no bad reaction from the food. I was a bit disappointed that they'd not read my reservation note before/when we arrived. I mentioned some details about why we were celebrating and I thought it being a Michelin star restaurant they would have read it. They were quite strict with the reservation time, we arrived 10 minutes early and thought we could get a drink inside but we had to wait outside until the exact time. Was a nice atmosphere inside and the service once we sat down was very good. It was also very reasonably priced for the quality of food.

We booked a 3 course lunch. It was amazing experience, the staff was polite, knew the menu and were happy to make suggestions. Wine list is very good as well. The vegetarian main courses were amazing, the king mushroom and cauliflower. They had 4 different type of oysters .. and the salad was amazing too

Great food and wines, although the lobster salad is not worth the price. We truly loved the service and the genuine smiles of the younger staff members, especially Morris and his Argentine colleague. They really made a difference to the overall service and experience. Unfortunately, this was contrasted by another young staff member who entered into a discussion about the quality and amount of bubbles in the champagne, which was served from an already opened bottle. This made us feel not taken seriously as guests. Ultimately, it’s not just what you say to a customer, but how you deliver the message.

**** I put 4 stars just for first two visits, as the last visit was quite upsetting in terms of food. We went to Ron 3 times, first two times (Nov and Dec) the food was excellent, we loved everything - the steaks, iron steaks, king mushroom, small appetizers from the cart. However, our last time during first week of January wasn’t great at all. Chicken in tacos was bland, the salmon did not entice senses, mushrooms with truffle and egg were unseasoned and completely boring. Like all food lost its usual twist and brightness of the taste that we used to associate Ron with. Did the chef go on vacation?.. In the end the bill of 200 euro did not feel justified even closely. Also the waiter forgot part of order even though it was quite empty already. However the lady at the entrance was bubbly and happy as usual, she is honestly great.

One of the best meals we've had during our short stay in Amsterdam. Service was fantastic. We had the Tacos to start followed by some small seafood plates which were all delicious.

Wow.. stunning place. Looked amazing on arrival. Staff super friendly and attentive. Now the food!! Where to start .. this place is not cheap, however the flavours and quality is unreal . We had the tuna, ribs which were a show stopper and mushrooms. All incredible. Looking around other meals looked as incredible. Would 100% and return. Thank you.

Beautiful, new interior, yet still with the same atmosphere as before. The staff, from the door to the coat check, are all friendly, attentive, and professional. The food is as expected; absolutely delicious. Delicious classic oysters, and the wagyu and rendang croquettes are paltry.

Great location, amazing staff, and really nice inventive menu, with good quality food. But.. the food was ok, not amazing. Nothing that would make me come back, not at half the price or less, it's just not that great.

Came in for my birthday dinner and the service was incredible. Our server in particular was the best. The concept where they come around to showcase specials for you to buy is super cool. I would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam

I took my Italian girlfriend here and we had a lovely time, the food is made with such care, the waiters and staff are incredible & kind, making you feel at ease.

A fantastic experience from start to finish! Everything was truly top-notch. The food was delicious—carefully prepared, rich in flavor, and beautifully presented. The service was professional and attentive. We were delighted with the extensive non-alcoholic drinks menu. It's great to see that they really pay attention to this. In addition, their knowledge of food allergies deserves a huge compliment. The staff know exactly what's possible and permitted, and certain dishes were easily adapted to make them completely gluten-free. It inspires enormous confidence when a restaurant handles allergies so carefully. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with pleasant music playing in the background. In short: from the ambiance to the service to the taste—everything was perfect. Absolutely recommended, and we will definitely be back!

Massive disappointment. Not Michelin Star territory by a country mile. Incoherent menu. Gimmick trolley offer where a server tries to sell you extra courses ad hoc. Very naff. Absolutely fantastic food! What an experience. Indonesian cuisine with a modern twist. Ron Blauw's concept doesn't disappoint. And not only is the food spot on, the service is also top-notch. Definitely recommended for both lunch and dinner. A seat at the bar offers a literal view into the kitchen, making the experience dynamic and interactive. Simply fantastic!

A relaxed atmosphere (there's even room for the dog at the table 😳) in a no-nonsense, alluring restaurant. The rendang croquettes with a delicious dip, the brioche with butter, the tuna, and especially the duck liver—in various forms—are a delight. I wouldn't choose the chips with trout dip (too salty), the cauliflower with truffle (those two strong flavors don't mix, and the dish is way too expensive), and the Maury with cheese (give me a glass of tawny; much more character). The ribeye and Betty's cheeses (how could they be otherwise) were a real hit, as were the wines. The service is friendly, but not very knowledgeable about the wines, and sometimes the entrée trolley arrives at just the wrong moment (just as all sorts of ordered delicacies are being brought to the table). In short, it's culinary delights with a touch of flair.

What a treat it was again! Unfortunately, the Salade Riche was disappointing, but they made up for it wonderfully. We had another delicious meal. Thank you!

Delicious food, clever flavors, and beautiful combinations. It's also very convenient commercially to offer snacks in between. We didn't know beforehand that we'd be seated "high up," which I thought was a shame (not great for my back). The service was very quick and therefore a bit impersonal; this seemed to be more attentive to regulars. I wouldn't eat there again anytime soon, despite the high quality of the dishes; we felt a genuine sense of hospitality was lacking.

The food was amazing, as always! The service was fantastic, and Jasper's wine recommendation made it perfect. This is truly our favorite restaurant—not our first time, and certainly not our last! We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful night out with top-notch food, hospitality, and a lovely atmosphere. 🍷✨

Had lunch today, unfortunately a bitter disappointment. The food was completely tasteless, dry, and unchewable. Dry snacks dressed up with a bit of mayonnaise, and all for a hefty price…🤢 Apparently good enough for Amsterdam Oud Zuid, because I saw plenty of satisfied customers (as long as it's poche, of course), but I definitely wouldn't go back! And it wasn't the service's fault; it was excellent!

We had reserved a table for 5:45 pm, and the dining room was completely empty. However, we were seated by Amber in the least favorable spot, right by the entrance on high stools. After explaining that one of us had food poisoning and would not be comfortable sitting on bar stools, we were reluctantly moved to a regular chair. When our time was up (two hours later), we were asked to move to the bar, even though there were still plenty of free tables and no new guests had arrived. As I understand it, among the entirely white clientele of the restaurant, we were the only non-white guests, and it felt like they were trying to push us aside the whole time. Food was good, waiters were helpful, but these moments left a negative aftertaste from the dinner. Very unfortunate.

We were very enthusiastic after our first visit last November. This time, food and drinks were still very good, but the rest... Firstly, the hostess was not be seen for 10 minutes while a long line formed behind us. Then, she wanted to seat us at the bar counter on stools, although we had a reservation and other tables were available. We eventually got a decent table enduring blazing disco music (another guests complained about that, but to no avail). It took a long time for the waitress to show up and take our drinks order and another long wait to place our food order. When the restaurant emptied after 21:30 h, things got better service wise, but until that point the experience was just unacceptable. Sorry, won't return.

I am not one who cares too much about service usually but this one is unfortunately worth a review… The food is good - not the best Michelin restaurant I’ve been to but I can’t say I didn’t eat well! The service… We didn’t get bread and butter served as every other table - took us asking when the bread tray passed near us for the 10th time without stopping and after tables that sat down long after us were already served. We ordered 2 specials which we got told would take 35/40 minutes and we were ok with that as we had a couple of snacks and drinks so no rush. Then we started seeing other larger tables getting served those specials so we were ready to be next. Until 2/3 other tables that sat down at least 30/40 minutes after us got served as well. 1.5 hours later (ordered around 7.45pm got food at 9.20pm) we got our food served. Unacceptable and not even an apology for the delay. Then cherry on the cake we saw everyone getting served a bite size soft serve ice cream cone with their bill which we thought would be a great sweet treat to end the evening. Only to find out that ours must have got lost on the way from the kitchen… It is not a 1 star review simply because the food was good. Shocking service

I wanted to share this post with #rogastrobar, a famous dessert that has received two #mitchelinstars. The #supriseegg surprise egg, signed by @rongastrobar's Michelin-starred chef #ronblaauw, consists of chocolate ganache, crispy caramel, and passion fruit, served with crunchy caramel popcorn. The fruit, chocolate, and crunch are well-balanced. The restaurant's decor and approach are far from your typical Michelin-starred restaurant. Faster service and more reasonable prices. A place where you can experience #casualdining and culinary experiences crafted by a Michelin-starred chef. While the dessert was good, I experienced some shortcomings in the main courses and service errors from the inexperienced staff. Taste: 3.8 Quality/Price: 4.3/5

I visited this place a few years ago. I can say that it is by far the best tomahawk I have ever eaten in my life.

Excellent gastropub with American and Japanese beef. The best seller is pork ribs. The customers - during lunch - are people in expensive suits from offices. They don't bring it fast.

What a disappointment!!!! We booked for four people for the summer deals, a delicious three-course dinner for €95 for two, including a bottle of rosé. It was a nice experience. For this price, we didn't expect the full experience, but we certainly did expect the feeling, atmosphere, and taste we expect from this Michelin-starred restaurant. It started with the reservation. The price is per couple, so for more people, we had to book by phone. First, we chose a date and then called, and then, as is unfortunately the case in the future, we got a terrible robot on the phone. Anyway, the reservation was made. No further confirmation or anything. Doubts were already creeping in. Would this have gone well? So foolish to trust this, we left for Amsterdam. Welcome, we're glad you're coming to dine with us. You're welcome to take a seat (outside? Terrace? Poor table setting? Dirty cutlery? Plastic tables? Broken chairs? Ultimately, blunt knives? And lots of flies?) Mmm, not exactly Michelin-star-worthy. Unfortunately, inside wasn't available, only for special occasions. Hmm, strange, isn't it? Then our host arrived, bringing a card with appetizers for us to choose from. Then a cart with appetizers came by, asking if we'd like any. We'd booked a three-course menu, but we didn't quite understand. We wanted a wine pairing with our menu. We were given strange looks and explained that this wasn't the right night for such a package. More questions? Finally, we asked how and what, and it turned out our summer deal wasn't available that day and couldn't have been booked. Today is a try-out. You see, with such a stupid robot. The manager arrived, what an indecent woman, completely lacking in compassion, very curt, and completely unrepresentative. Meanwhile, after half an hour, we still hadn't received a drink. We asked for time to think about it. Half of us wanted to leave. The other half were wondering, "Where are we going to find a table at 7:00 PM?" With a heavy feeling in our stomachs, we stayed and asked for an explanation about the tryout. A very nice lady at the table was happy to explain everything and, if she didn't know something, she would look into it. We never heard from the manager again—not even a chat, apology, or a drink. She wasn't a representative, empathetic person at all. That's just not how you want your Michelin-starred restaurant to be run. The tryout was a flop for us. You don't go around to the tables with a cart of food to sell appetizers. It felt like I was on an airplane. Later, they came by with trays and appetizers. "Sorry, that sounds cheap, but the prices don't lie." For example, 14 euros for a mini hamburger that you eat in one bite and doesn't even have the flavor you'd think, "Wow, that's special!" Sorry, this isn't Michelin-worthy, and asking that paltry amount for it. Besides all the appetizers that were served, you could also order from the menu. Well, I suppose this is really good, but I don't understand this either. Except for a single dish, and a lot of money for something I can get even better at the snack bar around the corner. They also asked if it would be a problem if the dishes weren't served simultaneously because some would take longer to prepare... well, duh, what do you think? With the main course, a really tasty piece of meat (no comment needed). I wanted red wine. It was poured from the bottle at the table, and to my great surprise, 11 fruit flies were floating around. They certainly didn't fly in and had already happily gorged themselves on the bottle. All in all, What a disappointment! We definitely won't be back and certainly won't recommend this restaurant to our friends and family. Our dinner hostess was the only positive thing about the evening. It's a shame the evening had to end this way.

I had booked lunch for two people through Social Deal on Thursday, August 7th. The reception, seating, and table changes went smoothly. The menu was explained, and it was served as if the amuse-bouche (one oyster €15) was included, but I certainly forgave that because the combination with caviar and the sauce was delicious. The wine was poured promptly. After the amuse-bouche, the appetizer arrived. My appetizer was served in a small bowl without a coaster, just like both of our main courses. How does a demi-chef or chef de rang do that without placing their thumb in the bowl? Not so. Fortunately, their thumb was clean. The waiter quickly left after serving without asking if we wanted more wine, even though our glasses were empty. Looking, attracting attention, and waving succeeded. A second glass of wine. In a bistro, that's not so important, but in a Michelin-starred restaurant, it is. Naturally, I shared my comments with the maître d', who asked if everything was alright. He looked angry and replied with something along the lines of "I'll do something about it." A nice lunch in pleasant surroundings, but unfortunately, not a star.

A very pleasant dinner in this beautiful restaurant. Very modern decor. Friendly, dynamic, and efficient service. The restaurant's concept is to share plates. A varied and very original selection, with unexpected and tempting combinations. All the dishes we tried were very good. Special mention goes to the artichoke and the scallops, which were particularly delicious. A wonderful time!

The food here was absolutely amazing—one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. The quality was exceptional, it’s easily one of the top places we’ve visited. What really stood out was the ambience. This was our second Michelin restaurant, and the difference was obvious right from the start. Unlike some Michelin spots that can feel a bit formal or intimidating, this one has a more laid-back, approachable atmosphere. Which makes it perfect for anyone who wants a high-quality Michelin-starred meal without the pressure of an overly upscale environment. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be back!

Ron Gastrobar was a truly interesting experience. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, it perfectly combines hospitality, taste, and 'fair' prices. For two and a half hours, we felt a little taste of perfection. The staff was very kind, paying attention to every detail from the moment we entered until we left, ensuring everything was elegant, discreet, and well-organized. We also had the chance to try some unique cocktails, with some out-of-the-box combinations, but very well-balanced. I warmly recommend Ron Gastrobar for any special occasion. It truly made our holiday extra special! :)

The most casual Michelin-star restaurant I’ve been to and it was a refreshing change from the usual. Approachable fine dining that was delicious and served with thoughtfulness. The four-course tasting menu was well balanced and satisfying. Service with personality. Highly recommend.

The food was fantastic! Great service and a relaxed atmosphere. The steak tartare, beef sausage/duck liver, and eel were delicious. The beef wellington and wines were also delightful.

We love the place and come often, but charging 7 EUR for tap water is not cool. I think administration should take note of that and change policy

Had a lovely meal again, it remains a party!! Too bad they stopped including the ice cream with the bill. It was always so delicious. Then you could have had a biscuit with your coffee. Did notice that there were too few staff, sat longer than usual with empty plates and glasses

Well regarded by locals and traveling epicures Chef Ron Blaauw is quietly building an empire, his decision to shutter a popular Michelin 2* concept in 2013 yielding a handful of new concepts including his 1* Ron Gastrobar in Willemspark. French-y enough that guests will see his pedigree, but highly original yet familiar, lunch or dinner at Ron Gastrobar begins with small “Snacks” including a chef’d-up “Bloomin’ Onion” and signature Beef Rendang Croquettes plus piping hot rolls with Butter bulked up by Pig Skin. Trendy enough for the #gram thanks to floral orbs and organic flourishes, the kitchen wholly visible through glass, small plates shine whether one selects mixed Mushrooms with Japanese Citrus or “Beef Sausage” hidden as Tartare between layers of Foie Gras Terrine. Not quite hungry enough for a whole Beef Wellington, particularly with so many other tempting choices, no table should miss Blaauw’s signature Ribs served with a smoke show and sticky Sauce or the seasonal Sundae currently featuring farm-fresh Ice Cream and housemade Caramel in three styles.

They serve great food and have a nice relaxed atmosphere. Staff are friendly.

Recently ate at the branch on Sophialaan, honestly found it rather disappointing. The sea bass was very tasty, but the price they charge for it is exaggerated. The wagyu was reasonable, have eaten better, the salad was good, nothing special otherwise. The fries were tasty and seasoned separately, but there were a lot of small broken pieces in between that I would not serve in a Michelin restaurant. At a star restaurant you expect a little bit extra and I didn't find that little bit extra in the total experience. The fact that you sit very close together and it is very noisy and then look out onto the scullery didn't really help the ambiance.
