Rose Garden in Kalkwijk

I've previously posted a review that it was a good restaurant. But I'll change my mind later. I reserved a seat over the phone, not at the wok, but in the à la carte section. After an hour and a half, something arrived. It was the wrong one, and the main course, even though we'd ordered an appetizer. Eventually, the correct one arrived, but still not the appetizer. "Should we bring that back later?" No, 😡 we already have the main course. The Peking duck was completely tough and overcooked. The food was lukewarm. Babi pangang was passable, but also lukewarm. NO, not for now. We'll go back to our old hometown in Haren for a Chinese meal.

First time wokking here, unfortunately very disappointing. One person for teppanyaki and wok...no sauces for the food, and the taste of the stir-fried food was disappointing. Little flavor. The side dishes tasted good and were hot, but there wasn't much choice.

Friendly staff with a smile and a wink, but it's a shame the food seems bland. It lacks flavor and spice.

On August 8th at 5:30 PM, I had Bami satay with extra vegetables and Nasi goreng. Both came with extra vegetables and satay. The bami and nasi goreng were without vegetables. The nasi goreng was overcooked and soggy; it looked like meatballs. This is the second time it hasn't gone well. I threw away the nasi goreng; it was inedible. I asked for extra vegetables four times, but they didn't come with it. If you can't handle the crowds, close the store.

Good Chinese restaurant. The food is delicious, with plenty of choices and generous portions. Not the cheapest, but you definitely get your money's worth. Even when it was busy, I found the service to be fast and accurate. In five years, I haven't received the wrong order. If I had to mention one minor drawback, it would be the parking. But in the worst case, just park your car at De Hooge Meeren and walk a bit faster with your bag. ;) Recommended!

Normally it's fine here, but this time I had to wait almost an hour for a simple bowl of bami. It was chaos. The egg and ham on the bami were cold.

Als wij in de buurt zijn nemen wij regelmatig wat eten mee om het thuis op te eten. Het eten is altijd goed dat valt niks van te zeggen, maar de laatste keren is er elke keer weet iets wat er mist, en waar wel voor betaald is. De laatste x was het de saté, dit was al de 3de x, dus er achteraan gebeld, zou later teruggebeld worden, nooit gebeurd. Wij zijn er inmiddels klaar mee en zullen dan ook niet weer terug komen. Fouten kunnen gemaakt worden maar dat het zich vaak herhaald

Ordered and picked up food. It was super busy and the wait was very long. I asked how things were going and was told that the food was already ready. Had Chinese takeaway tonight but unlike other times it was really NOT tasty. The nasi was much too soggy, not crispy and the babi pangang was much too dry. It was a busy evening with a lot of telephones. A man behind the counter who guided people to their table with their jackets still on… It wasn't worth the money this time.

Unfortunately, our dinner was disappointing. The buffet had little variety and the quality was mediocre. We found several hairs in our food, which was very disappointing. Today I picked up an extensive rice table at Rose Garden. Initially it was on the menu for four people, but after consultation with the cashier in question I was also able to get it for three people. The receipt also clearly states: three extensive rice tables. But when we got home it turned out not to be the extensive rice table. Chinese shrimps and a bowl of chicken curry were missing. Then you call about it and they casually say that you have a normal rice table and that it doesn't count for three people. Very poor service and not solution-oriented at all. Because I just paid for an extensive rice table. It is also stated on the receipt. I'll never come here again. They have lost me as a customer.

We visited for the first time, but it will definitely be the last. Upon arrival, a friendly woman greeted us and told us about the food. The food selection was quite limited, and we had to wait half an hour for the first sushi, which disappeared in five minutes. Overall, all the food was soaked in oil, which left us with upset stomachs. The price for two people was 77 euros, which is definitely not worth it. Having been to much better buffets a hundred times, I do not recommend this place at all.

I have also had a Chinese meal taken away here, which was also good, but tonight I shared a very tasty Chinese rice table with my table companion at a nice table. After the very tasty tomato and chicken soup we had an intermediate course and then the fantastic beautiful and tasty rice table. Waiter Timo was able to tell us exactly what was on the plate. He knows how to deal with customers. I will eat here more often, highly recommended to everyone!

Stir-fried here yesterday. We had not made a reservation, but there was still a table available for my husband and me. It was quite busy but there was only 1 chef who had to operate the wok and tepanyaki. This resulted in long lines and overcooked meat and fish. There were also many empty containers at the continuous buffet. Not recommended

You shouldn't be irritated by the inconspicuous appearance. The restaurant is a pearl in Hoogezand. The waitress welcomed us in a very friendly manner and answered all of our questions competently. Where German was no longer quite sufficient, English continued without any problems. We had a lot of fun there! The food itself was so delicious that we went there again the following day. Conclusion: if you spend time in the area, you should plan a visit to the Rose Garden!

Altijd gezellig bij de wok! Vriendelijk en leuk personeel. Fijne sfeer. Leuk om met groter gezelschap uiteten te gaan.

Heerlijk gegeten veel variatie en vriendelijke bediening gaan er graag heen

Heerlijk eten. Meerdere keren hier gegeten. Zowel van de kaart als het lopend buffet. Het buffet is netjes. Alles word vers bereid en regelmatig aangevuld. Ook kun je op de bbq, teppanyaki plaat of in de wok gerechten laten maken. Ze hebben voorgerechtjes als sushi en olijven, pepertjes. En nagerechten als ijs, taartjes en andere toetjes. Drinken kun je zelf pakken. Frisdrank is in een flesje- Ook voor de kinderen is er een snoepjes buffet. Koffie en thee zijn inbegrepen. Op de Kaart is het assortiment ook erg uitgebreid. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. speciale wensen zoals bijvoorbeeld vegetarisch. Kun je aangeven en ze bieden een alternatief bijvoorbeeld wokken met tofu. Het is een sfeervol restaurant met een moderne inrichting.

Lekker eten en vriendelijke bediening

All-you-can-eat wokrestaurant is ondermaats, vergeleken bij wat ik elders aantref: zowel de kwaliteit als de variatie. Vreemd genoeg is de afhaal wel consequent smakelijk! Een van de besten in de omgeving zelfs. Kennelijk krijgt dat meer prioriteit.

Goed eten alleen erg prijzig voor kleine hoeveelheid eten.

Heerlijk gegeten met vrienden. Bediening kon iets slimmer/praktischer.

Foto's van andere reviewers zeggen genoeg, prima eten en goede service, vriendelijk personeel en je kunt elkaar nog verstaan als je samen aan een tafel zit, voor ons zeker weer een nieuw bezoek waard.

voor een vrijdag slecht! om te wokken .we waren er om 7uur en weinig mensen aanwezig de bakken waren haast leeg en gaar van wat er was.het wokken viel ook tegen geen smaak.chinees eten ophalen is beter ervan

Prima en goede service heel goed eten en drinken.

Beste Chinees van Hoogezand. Ze 'verdronken' wel in de drukte vandaag maar de bestelling klopte precies. Menig cafetaria zou fouten maken met zo'n drukte. Ook een gerecht omwisselen kan gewoon en zonder extra kosten. Top.

Zaterdagavond uit eten geweest collega's was zeer slecht leggen bakken werd veel te laat bij gevuld geen bier glazen genoeg lang wachten op je eten ijs was op .wij gaan er nooit weer heen was echt zeer slecht zuur niet snel maar dit was bagger er waren veel meer mensen die het niet goed vonden

eerste keer rose garden. Ook gelijk de laatste keer. Div bakken de hele avond leeg Weinig aanbod. Geen susi , laten het de hele avond leeg. Makreel 2 uur leeg. Zalm 1 uur leeg. Lang wachten op eten. Bij ijs geen koekjes of kruimels. Waardeloos voor veel geld.

Het eten was wel lekker, maar je moet erg lang op je bestelling wachten. Misschien door de vele afhalers? Wat me ook nog opviel is dat je 2,75 euro moest betalen voor een kannetje kraanwater met vieze ijsblokjes, dat viel erg tegen.

Op doorreis kwamen wij Rose Garden tegen. Een wok restaurant. Het zag er niet uit als de donkere Chinese restaurants die je normaal ziet, maar mooi licht en open. We kozen niet voor de wok maar voor de kaart en voor het Kantonese 3-gangen menu. Een mooie mix van Kantonese gerechten. Een aanrader.
