Always delicious food! Friendly staff, highly recommended!

It's time to post a review! For about 2 years now (maybe even longer), I've been getting the Saoto soup from Aarti every Friday. This soup is fantastically delicious! We usually have a large chicken leg or the curry chicken pieces with it. Absolutely fantastic, and we hardly ever miss a Friday! Today we also tried the doksi, and that was delicious too! In short, the food at Aarti XL Roti Room is highly recommended. Very friendly staff, and it's always nice to stop by for a bite to eat to kick off the weekend. See you next week!

Food always fresh and good tasting

Delivery? Never again for us. What a joke for that price. We ordered a Royal for 2 people for a whopping €50. You really expect something from that. Unfortunately, it was quite a letdown. The entire package contained about five pieces of chicken. The rest consisted mainly of rice, noodles, and vegetables, with two eggs included. The fried banana had become so rock-hard from being heated in the microwave that it could go straight into the trash. I am deliberately not giving 1 star, because we normally get takeout here and that *is* tasty. But after this experience, we will absolutely not order delivery again. For €50, you expect a generous meal with a decent amount of meat and quality. Certainly not just rice, noodles, and vegetables. If I were to make this myself, I might spend €10 on the ingredients. I can only justify charging €50 for it if the quality and quantity match. That was absolutely not the case here. See also the photo: this is what you get for €50. For us, a major disappointment and absolutely not worth repeating.

Ordered food for the 2nd time, tasted super good and well packaged, until next time

Ordered chicken satay noodles for the first time. The noodles were very dark brown, but we didn't really like that. The vegetables were tasteless, the satay sauce was very thin, but the worst part was the chicken satay; the taste was fine, which was nice, but everything was charred black. Shame, we will never order anything here again.

You order and pay for a chicken roti roll, and come home without a roti plate?!?!

I got a Kip mix with two types of chicken. It has mostly veggies and half the chicken was extremely hard, which is a shame because the sauce was great. Also I asked for some shrimp which did not make it home with me, but I couldn’t tell in the store because the bag was given to me tied with a knot.

I've only known them for 2-3 months, but what delicious food (I'm originally from Amsterdam where there are many such places, but it tastes the same or sometimes even better; in Hoorn, they are definitely number one). Nasi Chaomin noodles with spicy chicken, everything is tasty, and the portions are so generous that you come home with 2 kilos of food for a reasonable price. Top notch! I recommend it to everyone. I have no experience with delivery; I always pick it up myself.

Ordered food, but nothing was ever delivered. No phone call, no email, nothing. Waited hours for a meal that never arrived. This is extremely disrespectful to your customers. If you treat people like this, you shouldn't be running a restaurant. Shame on you.

The flavors were authentic and fresh, just as they should be. The roti was perfectly soft, the chicken well-seasoned, and the portions generous. The food was delivered hot and on time. Absolutely recommended for anyone who loves authentic Surinamese food. I'll definitely be ordering from here again!

I get something there at least once a month. For ages. It was always good. Except last Saturday. I got roti and a cod sandwich. The cod made me quite ill. I had a rash on my face and felt nauseous. I'm still nauseous. I don't dare buy anything anymore.

I ordered food (requested it was ASAP) and it arrived within fifteen minutes. Full of flavor and with the amount of food, I definitely got my money's worth. A top-notch restaurant.

Ordered tandoori roti yesterday. Was a bit disappointing. Tastes just like chicken cooked in patak pot tandoori. It used to have a grilled flavor (Purmerend) maybe it's the cook.

Ordered nasi, rendang meat and beans here for the first time. Friendly service and very tasty food. Recommended. In reality it is tastier than it appears in the photos.

It's been a long time since I 'dared' to order roti anywhere else, afraid it would be disappointing. But my son and I enjoyed the delicious roti chicken! Tasty large portions and the food arrived within half an hour. Top!

On the pricey side but top Surinamese dishes. You can put together your own menu or opt for menu dishes.

Always find it extremely expensive. It's never super tasty anyway... it's just chicken. Recently bought 2 separate small containers with only chicken and shrimp because we already had noodles at home. Plus a bottle of super malt for €2.75, which in principle you can also get for €1.50. So they came up with a total amount of €30? I was asked if I wanted the coupon, but the exact products cannot be seen on the coupon...only the prices. How on earth do you calculate 2 containers with a little chicken and shrimp. Staff is often not trained properly...don't know how to deal with customers...hi, yes, what do you want, that's it? Yes, that's why the 1 star.

Food is good, but if you buy a can, it has the wrong stickers on it, so you don't get any money back on your can deposit, but you do pay for it. The rest of the food is perfect.

My partner is Surinamese so our expectations were high .. but it was a disappointment .. chow mein tasted like ketjap marinade not the good taste and ordered moxi but it had more vegetables than meat .. nasi was okay but not great ..chicken was too dry and fried too hard.. vegetables were flat. Sour food was colored with food coloring so red and not tasty at all.. that went into the trash bin first.. Unfortunately no asset..

DO NOT ORDER HERE. What a bad company, waited 2 hours for food and that doesn't even amount to 120 euros wasted on these people. Owner is a terribly rude man and a liar. This company should go bankrupt, better order from literally any other company. Shame on you for the service you provide, you can't even call yourself a company. The food was ordered before 6:00 PM and was supposed to arrive at 6:30 PM. I have now had to call the company 148 times, 147 of which they did not answer and simply turned off the phone, a truly scandalous bad company.

Unreliable company. Taking orders and waiting for our food for 2.5 hours now. Then don't cowardly answer the phone when you call to ask where the food is.

Definitely wouldn't recommend this. Meat was extremely tough and not fresh at all. The roti was also really not well prepared and seasoned. The bara was just a greasy lump of dough with no taste. Very sorry!!!

Have a beef roti and a chicken soy sauce roti roll delivered. Really delicious food. Large portions for a normal eater. We will definitely order here more often.

Selling bara without tajer leaf in it is not bara... that's just asking 2.50 for fried dough, it was very greasy, too much oil... too bad, the cornstarch cookies are also tasteless... why so bland? so I don't even have to try the rest I have to select a star but would rather not. Got Nasi Moksi yesterday, the bacon was gone but a replacement was sought... We have not eaten such tasty moksi in a long time, delicious... The curry chicken could use a little less salt 😉

We live outside the delivery area... while this is a 5-minute drive from this business. So quite sad.

Sorry, but starting a discussion with your customer about whether or not a very sweet one (onion in their eyes, but apparently they have no idea what kind of vegetable they are working with) We got a roti roll that tasted ridiculously sweet and this really did not belong in a roti roll Ridiculing us and saying we don't know what was in it??? Believe me, if you work with sweet/sour, you don't put it in the roll but serve it in a bowl. Never again for me Bad service too.

Ik ben echt heel erg fan van Aarti zijn roti. Zou het liefste elke dag roti bestellen hier. De bezorgtijden maken alleen dat ik steeds vaker twijfel om te bestellen, omdat het gemiddeld een uur tot 1,5 uur later is dan de verwachtte tijd. Ze bellen wel altijd met excuses, maar na 7 keer bestellen en bijna vaste klant te zijn raakt mijn geduld wel een beetje op… Jammer.

Net roti gemengde kip gegeten heerlijk! Vroeger in Amsterdam veel roti gegeten en nu is er eindelijk in Hoorn een zaak waar je smaakvolle roti kan kopen.

Vlees had iets meer kunnen zijn, maar de smaken zijn heerlijk!

Op de website staat 11.30 open. Vervolgens staan er klanten voor de deur en je weigert ze te woord te staan. Vond het heel onbehoorlijk!

Vandaag voor het eerst afgehaald 2x roti met 3 soorten kip . Koud meegenomen heerlijk gegeten geen droog stukje kip alles smaakte perfect . Echt wij komen zeker terug . Tijd geleden dat ik zo roti had top hoor .

Heerlijk!! Eindelijk goed Surinaams eten in Hoorn!! Surinaamse broodjes zoals je ze normaal gesproken alleen in Amsterdam vindt en roti die kan concurreren met die van Roopram 👌👌

De bezorging was er sneller dan verwacht en het eten was nog lekker warm toen het aankwam. Bij de bestelling zat gratis rode gepekelde ui en extra sambal in een apart bakje. De nasi was prima, maar de boontjes waren een beetje flauw. Het lamsvlees was echter heel lekker. Mooi gebakken en lekker gekruid ook nog. Heel fijn om een goede Surinaamse eetplaats in de huesmolen te hebben.

Één vega thempe roti en een roti Faya gegeten. Allebei echt heerlijk! Normaal zijn alle vega Roti's in Hoorn erg saai, deze was fantastisch smaakvol! Ik eet normaal de beste Roti's van Amsterdam, maar ik ben zo tevreden over deze. Eindelijk smaakvolle Roti in Hoorn, echt een aanrader! De pannenkoekjes die er bij zitten zijn ook top!

Bon gekocht op RegioDeals, wilde deze verzilveren. De zaak zou open moeten zijn volgens hun eigen website. Helaas de deuren zijn dicht. Dat was jammer. Vandaag nieuwe poging gedaan. Zaak was open. Alles zag er keurig uit. Het eten smaakte top.

Op de webpagina staat dat hij open is, kom je gewoon dicht. Telefonisch ook niet te bereiken. Jammer dat je daarvoor een stuk gaat rijden. Er liep wel iemand rond maar reageerde gewoon niet. Slechte zaak

Het eten is heerlijk, eindelijk goed Surinaams eten in Hoorn. MAAR….er moet echt iets veranderen qua personeel en efficiënter werken. Er is een jonge jongen en werkt zo hard, doet alles tegelijk en schijnt als enige alles te weten. Drie andere mannen liepen beetje doelloos rond. Mensen die koude maaltijden wilde meenemen moesten half uur wachten. Er stonden veel mensen te mopperen. Ik hoop dat ze het beter op de rit krijgen want het eten is echt lekker. Maar thuisgekomen met 1 warme maaltijd en 2 koude was ook beetje domper. Ik hoop dat ik eerdaags een review kan schrijven dat 5 sterren waard is
