Absolutely loved this cute little wine bar. It’s just the best when the waiter/somelier is enthusiastic and excited to share some knowledge on the great wines they stock. We had some incredible wines and the somelier was giving us a few options to taste each round before deciding which wine we would like to drink. The resident cat Micah was also a pleasant surprise - so sweet. We’ll be back soon for sure - might be the new local for us. We spent €40 for 6 wines which I thought was a bargain - especially considering you’re trying nice Italian and French wines.

If not the best spot to enjoy wines and drinks in Utrecht. The bartender was very enthusiastic and engaging explaining about the wines / drinks and accompanying platters. Had a nice conversation with the bartender and other people in the tasting room. Therefore it feels like visiting a fellow friends house. Being a small tasting room makes it even better, it prevents it being overcrowded. Would recommend this place for a date or get together with friends enjoying drinks in Utrecht.

Been before. Clear explanations for all snacks and drinks (high quality, also one of the best cheese/dry sausage boards you could wish for). Actually they are too small. If it were twice as big, it would be packed too.

Not comparable to an ordinary pub or restaurant. Here you get 100% attention and we work with care, knowledge and love for the products and the hospitality profession. Please be patient when it is a bit busier, even though the host/customer ratio is bizarrely high (I think there can be about 25 people inside and there were 2 hosts...). And of course (it's a tasting room) an excellent collection of a number of different drinks. For only beer or only wine, there are other establishments that have a larger range, but this combination of drinks and the quality of the drinks is great! Wow…

Rubens tasting room, the place to enjoy yourself. The service is of the highest quality, and every guest receives a lot of personal attention. Take your time, listen to the host or hostess and let yourself be taken on a wonderful trip with wines, drinks (basically everything you can think of), cheeses and sausages. One of the nicest places in our city.

Spontaneous port tasting with 5 people on a Thursday? No problem. We were welcomed with open arms and extensively introduced to the world of port. How very nice. Of course with a snack board with matching cheeses and sausage. Would love to come again.

We went to this bar for the Utrecht Cocktail Week. The bar atmosphere was really great and the service was good. The signature cocktail was a bit too smoky for me, but my friends liked it. All in all, if I come to Utrecht again, I'll stop by here for a drink.

Went for a wine tasting with a group of friends last Sunday. Super fun and interesting. Madam was very nice and told us everything we wanted to know. Wines and snacks were delicious. 5 stars!

Very knowledgeable and professional with a small space but a large menu. You can't eat there and that's a shame.

We love Rubens! The knowledgeable staff help you find exactly what you are in the mood for - even if you don't quite know what that is! I've tried some great wines, beers, gins and rums here over the years. There is also a lovely cat who may choose you and come and sleep on you! I never ate here so can't comment on the bar snacks (cheese, olives, etc) but it is a high quality place so I would be amazed if it's not good!

Klein, persoonlijk en gezellig met erg lekkere wijnen. Alles is wel wat aan de prijs, maar dan krijg je er ook kwaliteit en service voor terug. De huiskat is erg lief en rustig.

Een zeldzaam specialistisch proeflokaal met gezellig personeel. Enorm aanbod bieren, destillaten en wijnen. Een kleine zaak, groots in sfeer en kennis: een uitstervend ras. Verborgen Juweel aan de Nieuwegracht Super leuke wijnbar aan de Nieuwegracht in Utrecht met een prachtige selectie wijnen! Met een attente, professionele bediening die enthousiast over de wijnen vertelt, is het een genot voor wijnliefhebbers. Het gezellige kleine terras heeft uitzicht over de gracht en het park. Voor iedereen die op zoek is naar een bijzondere wijnervaring in het hart van Utrecht is dit zeker een aanrader. Mijn man houdt meer van bier en hij kon kiezen uit diverse speciaalbieren. Wij komen er zeker terug!

Heel gezellig klein cafe/proeflokaal. Grote keuze uit hoge kwaliteit wijn, bier, whisky en ander gedistilleerd op loopafstand vanaf het stadscentrum van Utrecht uitkijkend op een parkje. Zeker een plek waarbij ik uit kijk om naar terug te gaan.

This place is amazing! The service is really good, they are really patient and always willing to help with choices. Huge list of good wines, some few options for food it’s more like some cheese, sausage and snacks. I would say it’s the perfect place to go to spend some time talking with friends.

Super leuke plek om wat te gaan drinken. Mooie wijnen met het juiste verhaal erbij. Geef je smaak op en ze vinden er een wijn bij. Lekker eten voor bij de wijnen. Rustige plek, net aan de rand van het centrum. Zeker een plek om binnen te stappen.

Gezellig lokaaltje aan de rustige Nieuwe Gracht waar je heerlijk een wijntje kunt drinken met een kaasplankje erbij.

Dit is een plek waar je als liefhebber van wat voor drank dan ook je hart kan ophalen. Iemand met kennis en smaak achter de bar en de gastvriendelijkheid maken het compleet, een must go en een must taste.. ps neem er een kaas en/of worst plankje bij 😍 Het persoonlijke advies afgestemd op de vraag die je hebt is echt geweldig ook na corona, voor dit totaal concept komen we terug!

Super friendly staff; great drinks

Op een heerlijk zonnige herfstmiddag spontaan besloten om hier te borrelen en dat bleek een fantastisch idee! Een cava, een blond biertje en een tripel (zie foto) gedronken en een kaas/worst-plankje erbij gehad. Vanwege de knusse setting is er ook snel contact met andere gasten en op het terras heb je ook leuk zicht op de gracht. Vriendelijk en kundig personeel!

Een klein proeflokaal dat je het liefst helemaal voor jezelf alleen zou houden. Voor ieder wat wils en zeer redelijke prijzen.

Caminamos por el vecindario y tropezamos frente a donde nos sentamos y tomamos una cerveza. Notamos que algunas personas estaban teniendo algún tipo de degustación de cerveza, pero no pudimos participar ya que no teníamos reservaciones. ¡Miramos y sonreímos!
