Amazing real 🇮🇹 italian pizza in the most amazing street in Amsterdam 🙏 service was super nice

Came for the grill restaurant, ended up in the Italian restaurant... everything is disgusting and rubbish. This restaurant is a scam.

Well, we call it average, but it's not particularly demanding. Service was rather disinterested but not rude. Short waiting time was ok. Not amazing. But the bottom line is OK.

Pasta terrible. Plate with sauce splattered. Have returned everything. Sauce at Panzerotti was pure cream. Pasta with salmon not edible. Pizza was OK.

A warning to anyone who wants to avoid this nightmare: DO NOT go to this “restaurant”! It was so unbelievably bad that it almost became funny at the end - but really only almost. We had the dubious pleasure of having a once-in-a-lifetime experience that no one should voluntarily repeat. As soon as we entered the almost empty restaurant, a moderately friendly waiter pointedly seated us next to the only other guests - right at the entrance. Unpleasant is putting it mildly. We got our tickets and decided to have 2-3 sips of soda each for an outrageous 5 euros. An impudence that ran like a common thread through the evening. Even small details like “Carbonara with cream” made us more skeptical, but hunger forced us to carry on. We ordered three pasta dishes, one of which was cannelloni – which turned out to be a fatal mistake. Since we were pressed for time, we asked ourselves when ordering whether a casserole dish was the wisest choice. But what came next was beyond all expectations. The food arrived after an incredible 5 minutes - and the unmistakable frozen aroma shock hit us square in the face. Freshness? Handmade? None! The first bite destroyed all hope. If you like your pasta dry, rubbery and artificial, you will enjoy this. The Bolognese tasted of absolutely nothing, the “meat” could only be identified with maximum imagination. The three sad cannelloni were exactly that: dry, sticky, pure frozen goods. The alleged wood stove? Probably just decoration, because nothing about this meal looked even remotely like it was actually prepared. How a place like this can even exist remains a mystery to us. It's a shame about the time, money and appetite. An absolute disaster that no one should have to endure...

I wouldn't go back. Lots of food and the hellish wait, more than an hour for a cold starter and a supermarket pasta.

The pizza tastes amazing here and are wood fire baked. You will never find a place that cooks better pizza than this restaurant. Staff are incredibly nice too can wait to eat here again.

The restaurant was not quite full, 20min waiting until the first waiter came for drinks and to take the order, for the bread with butter it took again 30min, while no new drinks was able to order, after 45min we got the two pasta dishes - restaurant just 15-20% capacity used, still no drinks for the main course….. taste was not good unfortunately…..

The prices on the outside cards are displayed so small that I didn't see them. Opening the menu once seated, I found that it was extremely expensive for pasta and pizza but I told myself that at this price it must be delicious... 7€ for a large glass of COLA of which we know neither the brand nor the origin, probably from sodastream and therefore a scam. We paid almost 50 balls for a carbo and 5 cheese penne. Carbo dough with a lot of cream and 2 bacon pieces so no carbo. Generous on the penne but quite bland despite the 5 cheeses. We only tell you at the end that the tip will be added to the bill. So in total 57€ billed

So a typical tourist rip-off restaurant. The food is so-so and the prices are oh-so. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with a good Italian.

Ultra oppressive waiter, we asked for classic drinks, he served us the biggest drinks at an exorbitant price, food more or less ok, tourist trap, pass your turn

Walking past is the best thing here. If you want to eat something, believe me, you'd better keep walking. Cold toppings on the pizza, poor quality and the price? Way too expensive. Waiters unprofessional and unkempt. Health is threatened! 0 stars at least.

Expensive for such bland plates, five cheese pasta that tastes like no cheese at all, fughi porcini that are not funghi porcini, and they gave us the lagest soda drinks without even asking for size, for almost 8 euros each!!!!, something told me to better pay with cash which we did, and the guy played dumb to no bring the change back, we had to demand for the change back as we of course were not going to tip in a restaurant that obviously has no idea what italian food is. SCAM dont go!

We are currently eating at San Tommaso. San Tommaso salad as a starter and spaghetti carbonara and black fettuccine with marinara sauce. All very rich and well cooked. Adjusted price for the area, near Central Station. Nice and very friendly staff. I'll write it down for when I return to Amsterdam.

Very disappointed with this Italian restaurant. Upon entering, the atmosphere seemed promising, but as soon as we ordered the pizzas, everything changed. The pizzas had rubbery dough and flavorless ingredients. It's a shame to serve this kind of food in a restaurant that claims to be authentic. Additionally, the service was very slow and unfriendly (forgot to order). To top it all off, the prices are way too high for the poor quality of the food. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Instead of canneloni we got ravioli. Filling was as ordered. Yes. The survivor's response was that he didn't know and had only come to help. Different waiter when paying. He responded with mock surprise. Nobody did anything with it. Don't eat here. The food is from the wholesaler, but they charge top price. Even if they serve the wrong thing.

Very Basic and over priced I had the steak special with chips. Chips were just frozen and not fresh, steak was chewy and tasteless.

Food came fast. I ate an lasagne and was so so. Part of the pasta was not well cooked and the bolognese sauce was not generous. My family took tagliatelle, was ok. Overall I don’t recommend.

I wonder how a restaurant like this can still exist! 17.95 euros a board of Italian charcuterie which didn't have much Italian in it. 10 balls a tasteless spritz essentially made of ice cubes (that's where they went all out). And to top it all off, you are told that you must pay 10% tips... complete scam. I hadn't seen the comments before going there but I'm not surprised at all.... Avoid at all costs!!!

I will never come back here again because in addition to the fact that the pizza was very thin and tasteless, I found a few hairs. When I I went to report it to the waiter, he asked me if it was my hair and he was very unprofessional. after he saw that the hair was white (my hair is black) he didn't even apologize. The pizza we ordered was not bottled, but was brought to us poured in glasses and it had an evaporated taste.

Food bad. Rissotto pesto was sent without shrimps but charged 29 euros... Way too small a portion.

The establishment is a tourist trap on the boardwalk. The food is mediocre, and the approach to pricing is very specific. The drinks did not have volumes indicated and the average beer for 5 euros turned out to be 250 ml. After eating, it was impossible to wait for the waiter to pay and had to go to the bar counter.

When visit this place consider that they try to scam you with the size of the drinks. If you order a medium size drink they gonna bring you a small one. Moreover, they will try to persuade you that you are wrong! I don’t recommend to visit this place!

I highly recommend this place. Excellent Italian food. Service was fantastic, and the tieramesu was the best we have ever eaten. Don't miss this restaurant.

This centrally located Italian Restaurant is actually connected to an Argentinian Restaurant that I suspect is owned by the same owner. There is an opening in the wall between the two restaurants. We opted for the Italian. The service was a bit erratic and not focused on the client. The first order was wrong, but they finally got their act together. Having said this, the food was certainly excellent. As such the 4 stars. A short walk from the Central Train Station and the Ibis Hotel, it's worth a try in a Dutch city that seems to have more Italian restaurants than in Rome.

Food was very bad. They burned something in the kitchen, so hard that it was hard to breathe in the restaurant. Service was terrible and disrespectful. Potential customers entering the local asked us if it is a good place to eat. We said that they should go somewhere else. The owner came up to us and started threatening us with police Becouse we told his potential customers that they should go elsewhere

The vegetables on the pizza were raw and after we said we are not satisfied with the food manager of the restaurant started scaring us with the police, total catastrophe

If 0 stars was a thing it would be chosen. We sat and waiting 25 mins for someone to take even a drinks order. Once the drinks came, they messed up and got them wrong. Our steaks came wrong. Staff then told us we are only complaining to get money off and shouted at us. They threatened us with the police too. The staff are appalling. They need shutting down Avoid with every inch

I don't know who rates this restaurant more than 1 star, but these people have no taste buds. That was the most disgusting pasta I have ever eaten in my life!! There were 4 of us and my colleagues ate a pizza and it looked and tasted like vomit. 3 pizzas 1e pasta and 4 beers 108€!!!! I hope the health department closes this “restaurant” immediately!!!!!!

Service very rude! You sat down and after 1 second you were supposed to place your order. Very intrusive. The pizza was mediocre. Burnt edge was simply removed with hands and then served (see picture). The bruschetta is not recommended. Price is way too high.

Risotto is nothing more than whole grain rice. Spaghetti Carbonara consists mainly of cream and vegetable bouillon cubes flavor. Although only 10 guests could be served at lunchtime (shortage of staff), the existing staff is inattentive and unfriendly. The tables are lined up so closely together that when you walk between them you inevitably clear the other guest's table with your own back. We paid 53 euros for risotto, spagetti carbonara, a large water and a small cola. This restaurant is not a recommendation.

From the outside you can see a really nice restaurant. The employee is also very friendly. She was extremely uncomfortable with the way her boss spoke and behaved towards us. Unfortunately, the boss was absolutely unfriendly towards us when we asked if we could come into the restaurant with our two small dogs (pug in a dog buggy). Of course there will be regulations that increasingly prohibit this. For whatever reason. But you can also tell guests this in a friendly way. In hindsight, we're glad we didn't eat there after all. Because if you read the recessions here you can only feel afraid and sick 🤮.

Authentic Italian food. Really tasty, good value and excellent hard working staff. A must visit in an area with a lot of other rip off restaurants.

We were there on December 2nd, 2023. Greeting from the boss “Ah Germans, they have money”. Then we ordered the food and drinks. A friend wanted a salad with octopus as her main menu. It wasn't a big salad and it didn't fill her up. Bread could also have been served with it. We had pasta with prawns (5 prawns). We were full, although if you were a good eater you wouldn't have been full. The taste was good but it could have been seasoned better. As soon as one of us had finished our plate, it was cleared away. Normally you wait until everyone is finished before clearing away. At least that's what we know from good restaurants. We hadn't finished our drinks when the boss came and left a note saying "Reserved". We took the hint and wanted to pay. Paying individually is not possible because the restaurant shares a cash register with the steakhouse. Someone should pay and we should sort it out among ourselves, said the boss. We didn't quite understand the logic, but we then calculated it per person and paid it. With so much customer friendliness, there were no tips. The day before we tipped 25 euros at the Hardrock Café. We were there for the first and last time.

Fantastisch restaurant. Wij kregen een shotje limoncello op het huis! En de beroemde tiramisu is natuurlijk altijd mooi meegenomen.

Had the spaghetti Bolognese and rucola e Polo pizza and both were absolutely delicious! We finished off the meal with the homemade tiramisu, which was divine. Such friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. Great location. Will definitely be returning here again.

I was in the mood for a pizza and this place did not disappoint! Food was very delicious. Staff was very jovial and managed quite a few tables all at once. Prices where a little higher than expected but I'm on holiday so who cares?! :-) I applaud our server as he managed a lot of tables and took care of a couple that complained about their food in order to get a cheaper bill. That can be challenging but he did a great job.

If you wanna try fresh home made pasta this is your place. Delicious real Italian food

Waren zu viert hier. Die Getränke wurden vergessen und dann während des Essens serviert. Der Lachs war nicht durch, wurde aber anstandslos noch einmal in den Ofen geschoben. Danach war er fast durch. Die Gerichte wurden für den Preis definitiv nicht optisch ansprechend serviert und waren viel zu überteuert. Der Beilagen-Salat bestand aus 4 kleinen Paprikastreifen, Dressing und Eisbergsalatblättchen. Als der Kellner weitere Tische eindeckte und dabei Gabel und Messer oben anfasste, verging einem dann der Appetit. Die Lokalität ist hübsch und mediterran angehaucht, nett gelegen an einer Seitenstraße, das Personal freundlich. Die Tische stehen total nah aneinander- das ist ein wenig unangenehm, aber natürlich wird jeder Platz genutzt. Rollstuhlfreundlich auf keinen Fall: viel zu eng und der Weg zur Toilette führt über eine steile Treppe nach oben.

The food was amazing. Definitely an underrated Italian spot. The food portions were great for the price! You really do pay for good quality food and it tastes so fresh. You can also see your pizza being made while you’re sat at your table. Great staff and the chefs were Italian and very friendly. It’s a must visit!
