Delicious food, cozy atmosphere.

Not really friendly to guests, more forced to be nice. Understand we are guests treat us like that, we spend our hard earned money at your place, make the guest feel welcome. I don’t know what it is lately with these restaurants

Very good food, large portions.

We had delicious steaks. They were a bit too rare at first, but they cooked them further. My partner had the steak with creamy mushroom sauce, which is highly recommended!

I happened to be passing by, heard Spanish music, and went in for a meal. The experience was magnificent, the music was wonderful, the atmosphere was amazing, the people around us were clearly regular diners, and the friendliness and service of the waitresses was excellent, especially the Argentinian one. I stayed there all afternoon listening to music, in Spanish, for pure pleasure.

Great food, took a while but it was worth the wait

We ate here yesterday after the UB40 on the Beach event was canceled. We had a wonderful meal with a nice bottle of wine! The food was truly excellent; the carpaccio and tenderloin practically melted in your mouth, so tender. We'll definitely be back when we're in Scheveningen again.

Don't be fooled by the exterior. The steak was okay, but nothing more. The portion of ravioli was too small for the €17 price tag.

An Argentinian steakhouse that lives up to expectations and expectations. We were there on two weekdays, and a reservation wasn't necessary on either occasion. The food was of high quality! The wines (Merlot and Pinot Grigio) also met our expectations. The service was excellent! Genuinely one of the worst meals i had in a while.they literally didn’t a hint of seasoning to anything. The chicken and meat was put straight on the grill without even adding salt or pepper. Their salad was also awful i just got a bowl of corn. The only redeeming quality was the garlic sauce which i had to smear over every bite just to make it palatable.

The mushroom sauce is the best! And yet the ribeye was even better than the sauce 🤤🤤🤤 Whenever I go to Scheveningen, I always eat here. Super delicious!

For years, a favorite when I'm in Scheveningen. Super delicious food, the atmosphere has always been great, but it's definitely kept up with the times. It's not a cheap meal, but it's delicious. The chimichurri is a must! So be sure to ask for it!

Overall, the food here is good. However, they slightly overcook the meat, so always order one level below of what you would like (i.e order rare if you like medium rare). Moreover, I think their Picanha cuts are not very good and taste as if they have been in the freezer for a long time. Their other cuts of meat are fine. Service is good and the environment is great.

I'm always happy to eat at Santos, where the food and service are excellent. My sons, two years old and six, are wonderful eaters and gobble everything up! We've been coming here for seven years, and we're never disappointed!

-Sparibs very bad, extremely tough meat. A lot of fat on the meat & most of it did not fall off. With cutting and a lot of force it went reasonably well. -Beef tenderloin requested well done due to pregnancy (clearly mentioned to the older man) & the meat was only well done for 1 part and the other part medium. For me no 2nd time here! Very unfortunate. Staff was friendly. And then for the price you pay, you expect quality.

Santos – A Steakhouse Full of Surprises Tucked away in Scheveningen, Santos is a place where steak dreams come true – and where service might just test your patience. Let’s break it down. On the bright side: the Rump steak and Entrecôte were absolutely outstanding – beautifully cooked, tender, and exactly as ordered. The salad, corn on the cob, and papitas fritas were equally impressive. Full marks to the kitchen where the meat is clearly in good hands. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the front of house. The service ranged wildly depending on who happened to be at your table. One seasoned staff member held things together like a pro – calm, efficient, in control. The others? A mix of forgetful, flustered, and faintly invisible. Drinks appeared only after repeated reminders, and the Rib Eye steak arrived not at all as ordered – and sadly, even the follow-up attempt didn’t hit the mark. Desserts brought a bittersweet ending. The Tiramisu had great flavor but arrived looking like it had lost a fight with gravity – more liquid than layered. The Cheesecake was perfectly decent, but unremarkable. And then came the warm apple strudel – which, quite memorably, was still frozen inside. It was sent back for a second chance, only to return partially warm and now missing the two scoops of vanilla ice cream that had accompanied it (untouched, for the record). We gently requested it be removed from the bill – and to be fair, it was. One more thing: the place looks nice – stylish, inviting – but it was freezing inside. Bring a jacket. Or better yet, come in summer. In summary: Santos serves steaks that are genuinely worth the trip. Just hope you land a good waiter, skip dessert unless you’re feeling adventurous, and consider thermal layers part of the dress code.

By this I mean that it is known that you serve good food, but the service is poor. I had to get up several times to order something to drink, and I also had to get up to ask where the drinks were. Furthermore, I saw very little of the service, when I shouted or waved they did not respond. I also left a message with my reservation that was not taken into account, why is there an option to leave a message? I understand that there is a staff shortage everywhere, but please adjust your reservations accordingly. So don't overcrowd your business if you can't deliver the quality. You've been around for so long, isn't it a shame to undermine your good name like this? I hope you can handle constructive criticism. I therefore expect feedback. Had to wait a long time for the drink. After 25 minutes I asked where it was. They forgot about us.

Actually, I just had a couple of drinks, and I can tell that the gin&tonic was pretty good (15€ each drinks). My friends thought they were very happy with meats and antipasti. I will give it a try next time.

The steaks were ok but nothing more. Given the ambience that the restaurant exudes, you simply expect more class. Nevertheless, I left the store full, an experience.

The food was good, but very little for the price. Small piece of meat with only a leaf of arugula on a plate. The side dishes (except for corn on the cob) are all a variation on potato, so there is little choice. No drinks menu, although there is a bar full of various drinks. One of the waiters was downright rude, and it took a long time for anything to be served. Even a simple bread platter beforehand took >30 minutes. In short: not recommended as far as I'm concerned!

After the main course was finished and the plates were removed, we waited a while until someone came for the dessert menu and something to drink. When no one came, we paid and went home. Personally, I would go a step further.

Something went wrong with the reservation, but it was resolved quickly and without any hassle. The steak was amazing, as was the wine. We will also make the garlic fries ourselves. Pleasant crowds and atmosphere at a round table by the gas fireplace. Definitely for again!

Just bad. It was very cold in the restaurant. The appearance and ambiance is good. While we were waiting for the fourth starter, the main course was already delivered. They forgot the fourth entree. I opted for the 500 gram thinner sliced ​​sirloin steak. With an Argentinian you expect well-cooked, tender piece of meat. This was so terribly tough that it was impossible to get through. Terrible. Full of sins! I left a large piece because it was really impossible to do. For dessert I opted for a double espresso...how difficult can it be. This had nothing to do with espresso but looked and tasted like THE filter red. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is not espresso. Waste of money.

There was relatively a lot of fat between the spare ribs. Spare ribs were black in some places. And the meat did not come off the ribs easily. I expected more for this price.

Highly recommended if you are staying in Scheveningen, delicious food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We chose the Bife a la Criolla and the Bife con Champinones, with the tomato ensalada, papa asada and fries. And yes, delicious Jupiler with dinner.

In Holland, medium = medium rare! But if you tell the waiter medium + then you get the point medium.! This has worked perfectly for us several times!

We were a little cramped. Improvised with an extra chair. Time and time again, service did not go well with the drinks because the clerk did not speak English and spoke poor Dutch. I had the lamb chops for 26 euros and got 4 measly pieces of half lamb chops. Waste of my money. Atmosphere was not very pleasant. No music (at least not audible). No success for me.

Food was very good! The low rating for the service. The waiter ignored us as we waited to order from the menu for a long time even tho there were only a few guests. Over all he didn’t seem to be interested to take our order and we waited a long time. For this kind of restaurant I expected a better service and more friendliness.

While on a business trip, we search for a nice place near the beach to have a good steak. Recommendations guide us to this place. This is an Argentinian style restaurant. So for first dish, we chose the beef empanadas. How can’t we? They were amazing. Main dish, rib eye steak and a rump steak which were good. Then espresso. All in all we enjoyed it very much and most likely we will return. Service was good. Fast and kind.

Just wanted to share some love for this spot we planned to hit up for dinner. Had the rib-eye, medium rare, and they nailed it—big thumbs up! The sides? Totally delicious. The creamy mushroom sauce, corn on the cob, and yep, I even snagged some fries off my wife's plate. We washed it down with some Malbec wine, which was just perfect. Ended the meal with a caramel cake and a coffee—couldn't have asked for a better finish. The restaurant's in a great spot, super convenient and has a nice, cozy vibe. Seriously, a top-notch dinner experience. Highly recommend!

Bij lange na niet meer wat het geweest is. Vreselijke bediening en het eten was niet best. Prijs kwaliteitvethouding is er niet. Je betaald je scheel voor alleen een broodje hamburgen en alleen een spareribje. Zit totaal niks bij, alles wat je erbij wil moet flink voor betaald worden. Normaal heb je een bakje groente en wat gebakken aardappeltjes of friet, maar helemaal niks!!!. Een broodje hamburg op een pitabroodje. We zijn hier vaker geweest en toen had je een flinke gebakken bol brood met een mega hamburger met lekker saus en lekkere gesmolten kaas er over. Nu een kleine hamburgertje op een pitabroodje met een klein beetje saus en dat voor dezelfde prijs. Diep triest!!. Sparerib was erg weinig, flauw en moeilijk van het bot te krijgen, ook dit geen aanrader. Een heel klein beetje eten voor een megaprijs. Wij gaan nooit meer!!.

We started well, then it got a bit busier. Lots of garlic everywhere haha.

Today I tried to go out for a nice meal with my wife. Santos was an old acquaintance and we had good experiences with him. So we prepared ourselves for a delicious and pleasant evening of dining out. Unfortunately, it all turned out to be something different than expected. I had carpaccio beforehand. This cost, yes, don't be alarmed, more than 17 euros. Floated in the olive oil and was therefore simply impossible. Fortunately there was no problem and I got a new one. What I missed was some truffle mayonnaise or pesto on top. Pine nuts were also missing. So for me, a big fail for the carpaccio. My wife had empanadas and they were fine. Main course was a tournedos of 300 grams for 34 euros without anything. Sauces, fries and salads had to be ordered separately, which brought this dish to just under 45 euros. Well then you can expect something, right? Well the tournedos was fine, I can't say anything else about it. But the extras were so so. No, the dish was not worth the money. I've had better for 15 euros less for the same dish. On the other hand, my wife had a loin steak with fries and sauce for 27 euros and it was fine. Well, and then dessert. You can't go wrong with coffee and a liqueur, so that was fine. In short, 143 euros poorer and not the best experience richer. This was the last time for us. Way too expensive for the quality you get. My position is that if I eat out, it must be something special. Then I have to be able to enjoy it and the quality has to be better than at home. And it certainly wasn't tonight. Especially considering the absurd amount we had to pay. I expected it much better. So for us Santos has become a no go.

Delicious food! We had only been assigned a less good spot on the corner near the door and in the walkway. Fortunately, after the starter we were allowed to move to a table by the window. We also always had to wait a long time for everything. The only downside I can think of is the toilet. Toilet paper on the floor and dirty seats. This somewhat detracts from the rest of our experience at this lovely restaurant. In any case, we will definitely come back for a delicious piece of meat!
