Toros Santiago Restaurant in Wijk 28 Centrum

The restaurant was almost empty on Friday night and we understand why. The English speaking lady serving was very friendly, but that was about it. The herb butter was rock hard, the meat on the burnt side, the fries seemed to have been fried 3 times and the lettuce had been on the plate for a week. When paying we were asked to pay cash.

Excellent food, steak well seasoned. No idea where those negative reviews come from.

The interior is quite ok, the steak is fine, the service is fast, very impersonal. The fries are limp, the calamari comes straight from the freezer and is tasteless, the bread is partly burnt, the salad mediocre and the coffee comes from a cheap machine and is watery. I don't like this at all and for the same reason I can recommend at least 50 other restaurants in and around the city.

Worst restaurant experience ever! Bought two vouchers through Social Deal, but what a disappointment. Upon arrival the restaurant was completely empty - understandable in retrospect. The squid rings seemed to be made of plastic, totally tasteless. Then we got a main course that was absolutely unacceptable: a steak and spare ribs that seemed to come straight from the microwave. The spareribs tasted like they came from a cheap supermarket package. Lukewarm, dry, no taste. When we reported our complaints, the 'chef' was called in. He shrugged his shoulders and literally said: “Everyone likes it.” While the restaurant was empty. A little later he even came back with a raw piece of meat - completely inappropriate. If you don't know how to season or cook, then showing a raw piece of meat is of no use. As if that wasn't enough, the 'dinner' ended with a piece of apple pie that came out of the microwave so hot that it completely fell apart - and I burned my tongue on it. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the effort and your money. Never again!

We took the 3 course menu of €21,50 and got so much value for money!! Very kind service, will definitely visit again

Excellent food for a fair price.

The Social Deal is as expensive as normal. Food did not taste very special. We asked for medium steak, but it arrived rare. Portions are inconsistent, with a spare rib entree sometimes being 3 ribs and sometimes 2. Salt and pepper shakers were sticky and greasy. Toilets are downright filthy. Drinks were not offered. Things weren't going well with the tables around us either, and we saw the same problems and orders mixed up between tables.

The food was very good, friendly staff, even though we had not made a reservation, we were allowed to stay.

Delicious authentic Argentinian experience! Quality food and service. Nice atmosphere with tango music and pleasant lighting. I recommend the tenderloin steak medium rare, chorizos and grilled pepper/pimento.

A very extensive menu and generous portions for a really good price. We had a delicious meal! The staff was super friendly, and there was pleasant background music at just the right volume. A real hidden gem.

Wat een aanrader! De gastvrouw en -heer zijn zeer vriendelijk. Het restaurant heeft een gezellige entourage. Voortreffelijk gebakken vlees met gepofte aardappel, friet en rode bonensalade en heerlijk flesje wijn erbij. Wij hebben genoten!

Dined in with social deal, they treat you worse when you come in with that deal. Food was even worse, basically raw and chewy steak. Appetisers were bland and seemed like they came from the supermarket.

Ate here via Social Deal. Delicious goulash soup as a starter, salmon and steak as a main course. The salad and fries were also delicious and more than enough. Dessert apple pie with ice cream. It all tasted wonderful. Service very friendly.

We were here with a group of 14. That is no easy task. Still, it was a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was not expensive but not bad either. You won't get anything better for that amount of money (21 euros for a starter, main course and dessert), perhaps not the first choice for a romantic dinner for two, but certainly not recommended.

We ate here with 4 people. The meat was very tough and really hard to beat. It also tasted like the grill was burnt. The fries were also bad. The oil needed to be changed. The salad was also tasteless and the sumisurie sauce was also tasteless. Not recommended. Never go there again.

We did not like the restaurant. We don’t expect a lot when coming with a discounted deal but we were very disappointed. The squid rings were of the lowest quality I have ever had with a very doughy texture. The spareribs were okay but i expect better from an Argentinian restaurant. The service could be improved. It took too long to clear the empty plates even though staff was not busy. Giving two stars because the steak was nice but cannot recommend this place.

Encantador ambiente acogedor y agradable y la comida era deliciosa - pedí un filete hecho de la manera específica que me gusta (en rodajas finas y bien hecho) y escucharon y proporcionaron justo lo que pedí, y el precio era justo también.

First and foremost, we were served by a very kind and attentive waitress. The food was great, steak made according to our wishes, kudos to the cook! Portions definitely value for money. We'll be coming back for sure!

Llegó con la esperanza de una bonita casa de carne argentina. Lamentablemente la carne estaba lejos de ser sabrosa, o jugosa, ... estaba quemada por fuera y sangrienta por dentro. El vino era de mala calidad, y la salsa parecía haber salido de una bolsita de supermercado ya preparada. El personal era agradable.

We were there 2 years ago and had a delicious meal. This time it was terrible. Spareribs were served cold and had to be returned. The skewer was filled with incredibly tough meat full of tendons. And unfortunately we weren't the only ones who complained about this. Not for us anymore!

Good restaurant and a nice location, delicious food. The plastic screens that were probably placed during corona detract somewhat from the atmosphere. We took advantage of a promotion that Toros held. This made price/quality great.

Rarely had such a tasty piece of meat, rump steak and ribs were really delicious. We will definitely come back.

The service was fast and the food was very good.

The tent itself was full and it was very noisy. That may have been the companies' fault, so not their fault. However, the atmospheric plastic screens that were hanging there were stapled together. I found it dirty and without atmosphere. I thought the service was quite poor. We were received very grumpily (later 1 of the 2 employees did his best to make things better, hence the second star). It took a very long time before you could order a drink. I hate to raise my hand, but if they are looking around and the entire table already has an empty glass, then it has to be done. We asked for 2 bottles of water. Due to the conversation at the table, we initially did not realize that they only put 2 bottles of water... Without glasses... One bottle was cold and the other was room temperature... So we had to ask again if we could get glasses. .. We got 4.... There were 5 of us! The food...I had a tuna steak that was well prepared but terribly salty. And this was no exaggeration. I was also told that the steak was quite a chew. Luckily I had a really nice group of people with me who made us laugh about it, but that doesn't make the experience a good one.

Staff is friendly, but it feels a bit distant. Nice for once, but next time we will choose something different.

No success Soup cold, meat was good but no decoration or presentation at all. Dameblanche is served with cherry sauce ? Chocolate sauce was gone? Then you at least report this in advance.

So bad. No culinary experience. Nothing matches what is offered. Photos on the website are much nicer than what is actually served. Operation is amateurish. And all for a hefty price. Done with it.

Ate here a few months ago. Food was fine, service lousy. Waiting for food took a long time, especially the wait until we finally got the bill (after trying several times to speak to the staff and eventually just standing demonstratively at the ATM).

A nice restaurant close to the center. In a quiet location. Friendly people. Generous portions. Nice price. The price difference between the menu and the cheapest Social Deal offer is small. You can get a 3-course menu for little money. The food is not high quality but certainly of reasonable quality. You get value for your money.

For me, the bar for an Argentinian restaurant is very high. The food was tasty, but we both missed the wow factor, this was mainly because there were relatively many hard tendons in the meat. The meat seems to be cut differently or of lower quality than we are used to.

Toen we aankwamen misten we al details die in principe basic zijn in een restaurant, zoals het openen van de fles wijn voor ons, de menukaarten met verschillend plastic en vies etc. Maar de reden waarom iemand naar een Argentijns restaurant gaat is om vlees te eten. Nou, om te beginnen werd ons niet gevraagd of we het vlees doorbakken of rauw wilden. Ze brachten ons de biefstuk en de biefstuk was praktisch rauw. We vroegen om meer doorbakken, wat betekende dat het later aangebrand was. Uiteindelijk smaakte het vlees meer naar verbrand vet van de grill dan naar het vlees zelf. De garnering was ook rauw. Uiteindelijk hebben we betaald en zijn we weggegaan, maar ik zou het niemand aanraden.

We were there spontaneously on Friday evening without pre-ordering and were warmly welcomed. The steaks were perfect...we would love to come back.

This place has nothing to do with Argentinia. Not the owners nor the food. I ordered a steak which was almost cooked to death instead of medium, and it was swimming in moist (didn't have 'a rest'). The spareribs of my friend were dry and tasteless. We got the wrong wine. The mayonaise was so old it almost shifted. I guess only the French fries were okay. Female staff was friendly, male staff not. Once but never again. I guess only recommended if you want a cheap menu, are super hungry and don't really care about quality.

Terrible, a waste of our time and money (four-year anniversary)

Not recommended. I decided to give it a try by using social deal. We were “welcomed” by a man who was super grumpy and he stayed like this until we left. He never asked us if everything is OK and if we like the food and he was behaving like we did something to him. The whole atmosphere was super weird. The food: the starters (onion soup and goulash soup) were way below the average. It was obvious that the ingredients were from the super market and they were not cooked as they supposed to be cooked. My girlfriend didn’t even eat the onion soup. The steak was cooked as I requested, but it was not well seasoned. Good try from the cook. Though the steak was served on a broken plate and the missing piece they tried to cover it with a lettuce leaf 🙈🙈🙈 Unfortunately we decided to leave without getting a desert, because the grumpy man literally threw the menu on the table without saying anything to us! I am sorry but when I go out to dine, no matter if I use social deal or not, I expect to meet at least smiley people who respect the clients. I don’t know if that man is the owner or just a waiter, but he is not the right person for this position. Not recommended at all! I wouldn’t even give them a second chance! Note: after we left, we decided to go for a desert to Havana, where we got churros and had some nice coffee and we were treated as valuable customers!

Deze Toros in Den Haag haalt lang niet het niveau vd Toros Santiago in Delft. De lomo was niet zo boterzacht en te rauw voor medium. Beetje afgetrapt interieur. Wel erg aardige bijna vriendschappelijke ober.

Heerlijk eten voor een mooie prijs. Gegeten met sociaal deal. Was lekker en werd niet beknibbeld op porties grote. Gezellige bediening.

Eten was erg lekker, goede kok en vriendelijke bediening! We komen zeker weer langs.

Lekker eten in het centrum en goed te betalen. (Menu voor 21 euro)- simpel maar doeltreffend.

GEEN AANRADER! Het eten was oké. Voor het voorgerecht hadden we Calamaris genomen. Dit waren vier vrij harde stukken inktvisringen. Proefde alsof het even snel vanuit de diepvries in de frituurolie was gegooid. Hoofdgerecht was wel lekker. Nagerecht was wel oké (appeltaart en dame blanche). De service was heel erg slecht. Geen enkel moment een glimlach gezien op het gezicht van de personeel. Geen een keer gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Bij het dessert werd nog gevraagd “wil jullie dit, dit of NIKS?”. Nog nooit zoiets raars gehoord. Ze gaven echt het gevoel van “jullie horen hier niet, ga weg!”.

Een prima ervaring! We kregen een goede ontvangst. Het is een goed ogend, verzorgd, restaurant met vriendelijke en hartelijke bediening. Het diner was heerlijk. De steak had een heerlijke rooksmaak, duidelijk van een houtgrill. Kortom: heerlijk gegeten. Hier komen we zeker terug.

Geweldig goed restaurant. Waar vind je nog voorverwarmde en voorgekoelde borden. Maaltijd was heel goed verzorgd en heel erg lekker. Rumpsteak was super mals. 300 gram heerlijk mals vlees. Alles was perfect klaargemaakt. Maaltijd was voorgerecht, hoofdgerecht en nagerecht en dat voor een prijs van 21,00 euro. Bediening was heel vriendelijk

The food (steak with onions, rump steak and baked potatoes) and atmosphere were both great. Our waitress was very attentive and obviously working very hard. The dulce de leche dessert was the perfect ending to our evening. We are glad we stopped by.

Eten was veel koude gerechten,ze kwamen langs met vlees wat ze deden snijden voor je.Het vlees was te zout maar natuurlijk dat je meer dronk.Was wel eens leuk om te doen.

Prima maaltijd tegen zeer betaalbare prijs. De steak was perfect gebakken! Alleen de drankjes in verhouding aan de prijs.

For an Argentinian steak house, the meat is not that good. Our order came dry, the meat was hard not just for our teeth but also for the pretty sharp knife. Taste was not that bad but overall a mediocre steak house.

Wil je veel vlees van uitstekende kwaliteit en wil je niet te veel betalen? Dan is dit restaurant voor je!!!

Good Argentinean restuarant in The Hague city center. Parilla was excellent with great flavors. Service quick and very friendly. Highly recommended restaurant.

Vlees was goed, maar komt zonder side dishes. die moet je er nog apart bij bestellen. bediening is vriendelijk. als je bij het raam zit dan is het soms lastig om de aandacht van de bedieners te krijgen...ze lopen om de zoveel tijd langs maar toch het zit een beetje in een blindspot in overall aan te raden.

Preis Leistung sehr gut... Nette Bedienung. Kommen gerne wieder.

My husband and I went to this restaurant after a fun day of doing some shopping with high expectations. However, our hopes were dashed as soon as the starters were placed in front on us. The spareribs were not that great. For mains I had rumpsteak which was pretty good, my husband had salmon which he didn't really enjoy much. The cutlery is a bit old and the place could be a bit more cleaner. I didn't have a horrible experience but I would not consider having lunch/dinner at this place again.

Prima restaurant met wat je bij de Argentijn verwacht, vlees van de grill. Smaakte prima, vlees goed bereidt.

Beetje eenzijdig, vlees was prima, maar daar lag verder alleen 1 blaadje sla op, zag er wat zielig uit. De dressing over de salade was nauwelijks waarneembaar. Lekker vlees, prima spareribs, dame blanche met drie bolletjes was lekker misschien iets te veel, en er mag wel wat meer chocolade overheen, dat miste ik wel. Vriendelijk personeel,

The restaurant wasn’t that fantastic. The staff was unresponsive, with the waiter looking at his phone the whole time. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t fantastic. Too make things worse, we found a big chunk of a plastic object in our salad. The waiter looked shocked when we made him aware of this. We did get another salad though. The waiter then said that he had no idea what the plastic object was. Not a great experience at this place.

Voortreffelijk eten met rijke colle smaken en verse kwaliteit. Personeel... tja van alles en nog wat... inclusief interieur. Maar dat eten!

Heerlijk gegeten. Bediening was super snel, evenals het eten. Erg lekker en grote porties. Inrichting is wat gedateerd, aan de ambiance kan wat worden gedaan. Prijs aan de hoge kant. Wij waren €210 kwijt voor 2 volwassenen en 2 jonge kinderen.

Met zijn 2en gegeten en een 2-persoons maaltijd besteld; de hoeveelheid vlees was teleurstellend (miniatuur spare-ribs, lamskotet, etc) bijgeleverde salade letterlijk 4 blaadjes sla, hoogstens 1 portie patat voor met zijn 2en. Kwam niet in de buurt van eerder bezochte Argentijnse restaurants. Wouden eigenlijk onbeperkt spare-ribs, maar voorzag dat we niet veel geleverd zouden gaan krijgen...geen aanrader.

Fleisch war nicht Medium sondern Rare, Bedienung war nett, hat aber Sachen vergessen. Sehr dunkles Ambiente.
