A true taste experience – delicious and wonderfully aromatic.

Kibbeling is ok, does not come with chips. Other food was fine but nothing stood out. Small space in the red light district.

Whenever we choose a place to eat, I always check on Google what other customers have said. We chose this location because we wanted to eat pasta with seafood and we were not wrong at all. It has rarely happened that we eat so well, and the portion is so big, with seafood in abundance and yes, we have eaten many times even in Italy and we have not had an experience even similar to this.

The food was so good! And the staff was so friendly, I enjoyed my meal! Would love to go back!

We came from London and we wanted to eat some seafood. The fish was wonderful and the atmosphere incredible, the waiters kind and attentive. I especially enjoyed the tuna steak and the chips.

My fam stopped by for dinner on a Monday evening and had a decent time. The service was good and the food was good. I ordered a fish soup and roasted mushrooms and my family all ordered a variation of the mussels. Our orders were all in little Dutch ovens. The place is a bit tiny, with our table barely fitting four smaller/world-average sized people, and the place only has few tables also, so a reservation might be a good idea. Overall a good experience for our small group.

Food was served cold and batter was soggy. Really not worth it.

The fish and chips are very delicious. The fish is freshly made to order and has a very fishy taste. The Netherlands is a coastal country, so you must try fried fish once when you come to the Netherlands!

This is my fourth country in 14 days. Started in Prague, Paris, London and now Amsterdam. This was the best Italian meal I’ve had in any of these cities and in the top meals I’ve had this trip.

Great service and the seafood was amazingly delicious. Fried dishes were battered perfectly and the fish soup was my favorite!

Fantastic sea food while in Amsterdam!

After eating here last night, my partner became violently ill during the night: profuse sweating, extreme nausea, severe discomfort, and a few hours later we had to call the emergency room. It is unacceptable for a restaurant to serve seafood that is visibly not fresh. I strongly advise against this place - it is playing with the health of the customers.

Mussels with rochefort is awesome, you get a kilo of mussels which is a full meal and the soup in it is amazing. I went there twice during my visit to Amsterdam because i found it to be the best restaurant. It's very close to main train station. Fish soup was good and fish fried in batter with tartar sauce was delicious.

The fish and chips and seafood Alfredo pasta was amazing! Although a bit pricey, portions were filling and worth it. Would come again.

Waited a long time for some of our order to be received even after multiple follow ups. Their small mussel pot is good to share with the family, feels like eating a home cooked meal away from home. Each squid ring (calamares) is big. Seafood Pasta haven't got much taste to it. But the fish with the spicy green herb (especially this sauce) tastes great!!

Had the Dorado and the Belgian mussels, food was incredibly excellent 💯💯

The portions are large and satisfying! The mussels are delicious. The calamari is perfect for 3-4 people to share. The salad you can choose on the side (about 5 euros) is just the right size.

Good selection of oysters, the kitchen is quite compact, but the chef knows exactly what to do in this kitchen - all dishes were served very quickly and the taste is absolutely amazing. Special praise for the mixed grill - perfectly cooked tuna and salmon. Also, the salmon was served with an absolutely amazing creamy sauce. Highly recommend!

We ordered the mussels and the seafood Alfredo pasta, and both were nothing short of spectacular. The mussels were fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. The Alfredo seafood pasta was creamy, rich, and generously loaded with succulent seafood—one of the best we’ve ever had! To top it off, the complimentary bread with spiced butter was a delightful surprise—fresh, warm, and incredibly tasty. Every detail, from the food to the ambiance and service, was spot on. My wife and I stopped here on vacation. It was the perfect spot for a very nice dinner to end a wonderful day. The staff was incredible. Very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. I would highly recommend this restaurant and if we return to Amsterdam we will definitely go there again.

I tried mixed seafood today, and it was really delicious. Also, the portion was too big, I had a hard time finishing it. The taste, service quality, staff friendliness and attitude were all very nice. The location is very central and I definitely recommend it. 👍🏻

Visited Seafood Bistro on 9 June; had an excellent dinner with a colleague consisting of oysters from Holland, France and Ireland. Followed by main dishes of sea bass and a tuna steak. Both of us very much enjoyed the oysters and mains. The service was great, very friendly. Only downside was constant smell of cigarette smoke coming in from outside which was only a little disappointing. Would go back again and again to experience the entire menu. We made a reservation for two at six but arrived early, there were some empty tables so we had no problems. The oysters were amazing as well as the mussels. Service excellent and the price was not too bad.

Lovely boutique seafood place with quality food

Small bistro, no one there, but the food was delicious. Various local (dutch, french, irish) 6 piece of stoneware wine was good. Fish and chips cod was fresh and pasta (not pictured) was good. Herbs and cheese were appropriate and wine and beer were also good. 3 people 100 euros.

We had an amazing experience at the seafood restaurant! The atmosphere was great, the food was fresh and delicious, but what truly made our visit special was our server, Mihai. He was absolutely outstanding – friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. the rating would be 3.5 maybe, but I give 4 for the courtesy of one of the two waitresses. we stopped because we were tired after a day walking around, so we wanted to walk some more to look for something else. decent food, some good dishes (fritto misto), others less so (fish soup). prices in the average of amsterdam. house wine definitely a no-go.

Great oysters! Smart compact menu. Fish is very fresh, simply prepared, with some nice side dish options. We had the whole grilled Dorade and split a Greek salad. Nice inexpensive house wined too.

I highly recommend the spicy mussel soup! The mussels soaked in broth are really delicious! The shrimp in the pasta were also really plump and delicious. I recommend ordering the shrimp dish!

Delicious fresh oysters and fantastic Pornstar Martiny. That was treat of the day. Calamaris and fish was tasty as well. Small place, modest but pleasant decorations of the bistro.

Had a great seafood lunch of Fish & Chips with a grilled shrimp appetizer. The staff was so amazing and thoughtful. The chef made sure we had a very nice filet of fish. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our waiter was a bit rude to us, we brushed it off at first but saw he was very conversational and happy to help other guests. Our order sat ready for awhile before he brought it to us and even the cooks were wondering what was happening. Also, the bathrooms were okay but no soap was available , only in the women’s restroom. When I took my mussels Togo , I assumed they packaged it properly but shortly after we left the container was leaking and fell through the bag. We looked at the container and there was a large slit in it and that’s what caused it. I’m not completely sure if that was the waiters doing or just pure mistake but I ended up throwing them away because it continued to leak after they fixed it. Overall, I really enjoyed my food and everyone except our waiter was super friendly! Sucks I couldn’t have my left overs lol

I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but the value for what you pay just wasn’t there. My wife got the seafood pasta, which had a good portion, I got the salmon and mushrooms. The salmon doesn’t come with any side dishes, you have to pay extra for them, so you end up with a $30 piece of salmon and $8 in mushrooms. I wasn’t happy, but the people around us had what looked great, so I went with it. The food was good, but it wasn’t mind blowing. For the prices they ate charging, I didn’t feel the value was worth it. There are better places in the area and I suggest you eat at one of them

We visited the Seafood Bistro after a lovely canal cruise in Amsterdam. Based on the website—and especially the prices—we expected a high-quality, maybe even slightly upscale experience. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t quite match our expectations. The atmosphere felt more like a small street kitchen, with very limited seating and a casual setup. Here are a few things that really disappointed us: They charge €11 for non-alcoholic cocktails, which turned out to be nothing more than small bottled mixers from the supermarket poured over ice. The food was okay, but honestly nothing special. We politely mentioned that the calamari were overcooked, and from that point on, the service noticeably declined. The pricing is simply not justified for the quality you receive. Sadly, we can’t recommend this place. It just doesn’t live up to the expectations set by its online presence.

This place is a gem! And they open late! I was craving mussels and first went to Seafood Bar which was open till 10pm. But when I got there at 9.30p, I was told they are closed and was turned around. This was a blessing, because I found this place :) The food was really good and cocktails well made and strong. I had kibbeling (the fish was fresh, well seasoned and perfectly cooked), oysters (they have quite a selection and they were fresh and well cleaned), and mussels (several broth options, very tasty). We had dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday evening during a weekend trip to Amsterdam, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We ordered mussels, which according to the menu came with bread — a bit unusual, but why not — and we also ordered a side of fries, expecting them to arrive promptly. The waitress confirmed the fries when bringing the mussels, but they never showed up. After we had nearly finished our meal, I asked to cancel the fries, as it was obviously too late. Not a single apology was offered — neither for the delay, nor for the oversight. Meanwhile, the waitresses were laughing loudly together, watching videos on their phones, and one of them was even eating in full view of the customers — not exactly a professional attitude. As for the food: it wasn’t bad, but it was extremely average, especially considering the price. We understand it’s a very touristy area, but that doesn’t justify such poor service and lack of professionalism. Very disappointed with the overall experience — I do not recommend this place.
