I really liked this place. Delicious food and good service.

Excellent service. The fish soup was perfect. Mussels cooked to perfection. Whole grilled seabass perfect. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our server, Nastia, was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable. Would definitely return.

Very good restaurant, very generous. We had a mixed plate of shellfish and fish for three (recommended for 2) and it was more than enough!! Everything was fresh and tasty. Thanks to Inès for her kindness and advice!

I had the kibbeling and fries. Everything was excellent, although the kibbeling was rather timidly spiced.

I tried mixed seafood today, and it was really delicious. Also, the portion was too big, I had a hard time finishing it. The taste, service quality, staff friendliness and attitude were all very nice. The location is very central and I definitely recommend it. 👍🏻

Visited Seafood Bistro on 9 June; had an excellent dinner with a colleague consisting of oysters from Holland, France and Ireland. Followed by main dishes of sea bass and a tuna steak. Both of us very much enjoyed the oysters and mains. The service was great, very friendly. Only downside was constant smell of cigarette smoke coming in from outside which was only a little disappointing. Would go back again and again to experience the entire menu. We made a reservation for two at six but arrived early, there were some empty tables so we had no problems. The oysters were amazing as well as the mussels. Service excellent and the price was not too bad.

Amazing seafood bistro in Amsterdam! The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start. We loved the spicy mussels—full of heat and flavor—perfect with the crusty bread. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, crispy outside and tender inside. The calamari came in all styles—grilled, fried, and all delicious. Cozy atmosphere and great attention to detail. A must-visit for seafood lovers looking for fresh flavors and great vibes!

Small bistro, no one there, but the food was delicious. Various local (dutch, french, irish) 6 piece of stoneware wine was good. Fish and chips cod was fresh and pasta (not pictured) was good. Herbs and cheese were appropriate and wine and beer were also good. 3 people 100 euros.

We had an amazing experience at the seafood restaurant! The atmosphere was great, the food was fresh and delicious, but what truly made our visit special was our server, Mihai. He was absolutely outstanding – friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Thank you, Mihai, for your wonderful service – we’ll definitely be coming back!

the rating would be 3.5 maybe, but I give 4 for the courtesy of one of the two waitresses. we stopped because we were tired after a day walking around, so we wanted to walk some more to look for something else. decent food, some good dishes (fritto misto), others less so (fish soup). prices in the average of amsterdam. house wine definitely a no-go.

Great oysters! Smart compact menu. Fish is very fresh, simply prepared, with some nice side dish options. We had the whole grilled Dorade and split a Greek salad. Nice inexpensive house wined too.

I highly recommend the spicy mussel soup! The mussels soaked in broth are really delicious! The shrimp in the pasta were also really plump and delicious. I recommend ordering the shrimp dish!

A valid alternative to eat some fish in Amsterdam

Delicious fresh oysters and fantastic Pornstar Martiny. That was treat of the day. Calamaris and fish was tasty as well. Small place, modest but pleasant decorations of the bistro.

Had a great seafood lunch of Fish & Chips with a grilled shrimp appetizer. The staff was so amazing and thoughtful. The chef made sure we had a very nice filet of fish. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Our waiter was a bit rude to us, we brushed it off at first but saw he was very conversational and happy to help other guests. Our order sat ready for awhile before he brought it to us and even the cooks were wondering what was happening. Also, the bathrooms were okay but no soap was available , only in the women’s restroom. When I took my mussels Togo , I assumed they packaged it properly but shortly after we left the container was leaking and fell through the bag. We looked at the container and there was a large slit in it and that’s what caused it. I’m not completely sure if that was the waiters doing or just pure mistake but I ended up throwing them away because it continued to leak after they fixed it. Overall, I really enjoyed my food and everyone except our waiter was super friendly! Sucks I couldn’t have my left overs lol

I really wanted to give this 5 stars, but the value for what you pay just wasn’t there. My wife got the seafood pasta, which had a good portion, I got the salmon and mushrooms. The salmon doesn’t come with any side dishes, you have to pay extra for them, so you end up with a $30 piece of salmon and $8 in mushrooms. I wasn’t happy, but the people around us had what looked great, so I went with it. The food was good, but it wasn’t mind blowing. For the prices they ate charging, I didn’t feel the value was worth it. There are better places in the area and I suggest you eat at one of them

We visited the Seafood Bistro after a lovely canal cruise in Amsterdam. Based on the website—and especially the prices—we expected a high-quality, maybe even slightly upscale experience. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t quite match our expectations. The atmosphere felt more like a small street kitchen, with very limited seating and a casual setup. Here are a few things that really disappointed us: They charge €11 for non-alcoholic cocktails, which turned out to be nothing more than small bottled mixers from the supermarket poured over ice. The food was okay, but honestly nothing special. We politely mentioned that the calamari were overcooked, and from that point on, the service noticeably declined. The pricing is simply not justified for the quality you receive. Sadly, we can’t recommend this place. It just doesn’t live up to the expectations set by its online presence.

We had dinner at this restaurant on a Saturday evening during a weekend trip to Amsterdam, and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. We ordered mussels, which according to the menu came with bread — a bit unusual, but why not — and we also ordered a side of fries, expecting them to arrive promptly. The waitress confirmed the fries when bringing the mussels, but they never showed up. After we had nearly finished our meal, I asked to cancel the fries, as it was obviously too late. Not a single apology was offered — neither for the delay, nor for the oversight. Meanwhile, the waitresses were laughing loudly together, watching videos on their phones, and one of them was even eating in full view of the customers — not exactly a professional attitude. As for the food: it wasn’t bad, but it was extremely average, especially considering the price. We understand it’s a very touristy area, but that doesn’t justify such poor service and lack of professionalism. Very disappointed with the overall experience — I do not recommend this place.

This place is a gem! And they open late! I was craving mussels and first went to Seafood Bar which was open till 10pm. But when I got there at 9.30p, I was told they are closed and was turned around. This was a blessing, because I found this place :) The food was really good and cocktails well made and strong. I had kibbeling (the fish was fresh, well seasoned and perfectly cooked), oysters (they have quite a selection and they were fresh and well cleaned), and mussels (several broth options, very tasty). The server Victoria was very friendly and awesome. Whishing her best of luck! :) I loved this placed so much, I went there twice in my 10day stay in AMS.

Exceptional place, well located. The food is fresh, but the price remains high compared to the quantity, at least for the seafood platter at €108. The service is friendly but not exceptional. Expensive value for money.

The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The service by Victoria was exceptional, she was engaging and pleasant to deal with. The sea food was fresh and perfectly cooked.

The seafood was too salty and one of the staffs was a bit rude and lacking manners. She thought she apologized but she just made it even worse with her unlogical explanations about her behaviour and we just let it go. Luckily we have encountered so many nice people in Amsterdam, therefore this woman’s behaviours won’t be what stays in our memories.

It is not a romantic setting here. It feels more like a workingplace. A lot of choices on the Menu . We had a good tomato soup and calamares to start. The squid had missen it's massage,but the crisis pastry and sauce were tasty. Rosé wine from a draft was okay. Our maincourses : Fish and Chips and Fruits de Mer pasta were big porties and we enjoyed them.

I ordered Mix of 3 Oyster, Mussels spicy and house wine SAUVIGNON BLANC and the total cost was 47.5 euros. Even though I don't like oysters, it was really delicious and the mussels exceeded my expectations. I think it's a taste that any Korean would like. The wine was a bit disappointing, but not bad. I made a reservation for 12:15 on Monday, but it doesn't seem necessary to make a reservation unconditionally. If you want to eat seafood in Amsterdam, Netherlands, I recommend this place.

I had fish and chips and calamari as a starter, which was really tasty and of the best quality, chips were equally good! Drinks cost half a kidney, but you feel like you get half a glass, so one point is deducted. The waitress is always there, but I felt a little lacking in warmth. Atmosphere is pleasant, interior design is very stylish.

I didn't expect there to be SO much fish in the dishes here. But it is also very tasty. Even if the prices are a bit higher, the price/performance ratio is still good. But the seafood itself is always a bit more expensive, you have to live with it if you want it hehe.

I enjoyed mussel soup, shrimp mussel cream pasta, and fried cod with my family. The mussel soup was too salty for my taste. The mussel and shrimp cream pasta was not greasy and had a very appropriate taste. The fried cod was thought to be the most successful menu item as it felt like it was fried with fresh fish. Above all, the smile of the person serving us made the meal truly enjoyable. The day of the memorial service visit was Monday, February 24, 2025. I think this is a restaurant where you can enjoy yourself without too much pressure.

Nice cozy restaurant right in the middle of Warmoesstraat, we didn't expect the large amounts of mussels but they were very much welcome! Highly recommend the spicy mussels pot and both Alfredo and Seafood spaghetti. Would repeat again!

I strongly advise against this place, apart from the service, the young lady was very kind, I ordered a fish soup, and a grilled mix of fish, the soup and the squid were over cooked as hard as stone, the grilled meat was boiled for 40 euros 2 old prawns with black heads, dry salmon, over cooked tuna... I strongly advise against this place for eating good fish.

If I could I would give 0 stars, the food was not even that good, we did not even finished it, the service was so poor the lady who work there had so much attitude, keep rolling her eyes and very poor communication. Save your money and go somewhere else

Having had oysters in the US for years, these were by far the BEST I've ever had. Got 6 from the Netherlands and 6 Irish. The Netherlands were the best! Large and very fresh. Went on a Tuesday night, so wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. Service was fantastic and the restaurant was very clean and contemporary. Will go again before I head home!
