Great food. Cool ambience. Fast service & friendly staff.

Most dishes were good, but the olive oil was very dominant and the fritto misto was disappointing. Ordering at the bar was a shame.

This restaurant is tucked away in a less touristy part of Amsterdam, which we really liked. Another big plus: parking nearby is easy and surprisingly affordable for Amsterdam. We went for lunch and loved the way the food was served — dishes arrive as soon as they’re ready, so everything comes to the table hot, fresh and exactly as it should be. The monkfish was absolutely amazing, and so were the vongole and fried fish. Everything tasted fresh and beautifully prepared. The staff were enthusiastic, welcoming and very accommodating, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here, after having our first date here years ago. We were picked up in a limo by owner Daan (who showed up wearing a captain's hat). We then drove to Barracuda while enjoying a nice bottle of champagne. At Barracuda itself, we were really spoiled by sweet and attentive staff, and the food was delicious too! Thank you!

Perfect and fantastic to eat at Barracuda again. We had the daily specials: oven-baked turbot and langoustines. Fantastically well prepared, perfectly cooked, and without much fuss. Oysters as a starter, a tasty fennel salad, and good French fries with homemade mayo. To top it all off, a Volendam cream puff and a chocolate mousse to enjoy just the two of us. Unpretentious in an amazing spot in North Amsterdam, and now we just hope they can stay for a while longer. The city needs gems like this!

This company hires boats on a nationwide STRIKE DAY because they consider their gain of one day more important than solidarity with the transport workers who value higher wages and social security. That tells you enough about their priorities!

Small Bites. Fried Cod is The best. Good wines. Port wine is not in the Menu, but is available.

We celebrated my friend's new job here. The atmosphere is really special and I recommend it to anyone who likes trying out new restaurants. In total we ordered oysters, mussels, scallops, tuna ham, frito misto and snails. And a bottle of wine. I must point our there was a lot of grits in all the shells, they don't clean them very well and it kind of destroys the whole dish. Octopus salad was made with the strangest vegetables mix, including celery that took over the whole dish taste-wise. I mean, what is wrong with the good old potato salad with octopus? And in the frito misto we were supposed to have anchovies (actually the reason why I ordered) but we got some different small white fish. Disappointing. Anyways, if you're not going to fuss a lot, it was a decent dinner. The waiters kept taking plates off of our table without asking, I found that incredibly annoying. When they tried to take the plate with remaining olive oil from the tuna ham I started yelling no No No Noooo! 😆 so, hold onto your plates and you'll be fine.

Friendly and professional staff, they helped me a lot with gluten free items and even made a gluten free fritto misto which I haven’t had in years. Good and relaxed atmosphere, great quality and low prices!!

We had a fun night with good food with our family, 12 of us, young and old, everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Prices are good as well.

The food was good, but the service fell completely short. Upon arrival, we waited at the host desk while four employees stood outside actively avoiding eye contact. When ordering inside, no staff offered to help carry our drinks and bread outdoors, leaving me struggling to balance everything. Even worse, I saw a woman walking with a crutch who was also forced to order at the counter and carry her own drinks back to her table. Good service is essential to a dining experience, and Barracuda is severely lacking.

Barracuda is highly recommended. After a friendly welcome, we had a delicious meal where the dishes arrived at the right time, despite the fairly large group I had with me. Making a reservation is worthwhile, because we weren't the only ones who know that Barracuda is a top spot.

We had a lovely evening on the spacious and pleasant terrace under the parasols, where we enjoyed the best flavors of the sea, the beautifully playful decor of the establishment, and the fine service. Never before have I seen waiters glide back and forth between the kitchen and the terrace with such a fluid gait and mysterious smile, like swimmers in a calm sea.

I visited Barracuda Amsterdam for the first time for a company outing, and what a great experience! The food is fresh and of good quality. The seafood, in particular, is, in my opinion, one of the best I have eaten in Amsterdam. The dishes are flavorful and beautifully presented. I also thought the restaurant's look was really cool. The decor, colors, and presentation give the place a cool and modern vibe. It is a spacious and open location, making it a comfortable place to sit. Do keep in mind that you will probably want to order a lot, because there is so much delicious food to choose from! 😋 My favorites are razor clams and turbotine. The perfect place to go with a group and share various dishes. Ideal for shared dining and a fun night out. Do keep in mind, however, that it can sometimes take a little longer for the dishes and drinks to arrive.

Upon entering, you see immediately: what a lovely place! Deliberately understated decor, great atmosphere, and delicious food! A warm welcome with explanations and a carafe of water. A nice collection of orange wines on the menu. All the food to share was delicious. Tomato toast and scallops are highly recommended.

This restaurant on the outskirts of Amsterdam serves well-cooked fresh fish at a more than reasonable price, considering it's Amsterdam, a city I found incredibly expensive. The staff is friendly and helpful. The waitress who greeted us, in particular, went out of her way to understand us and accommodate our requests. The atmosphere is a bit basic but clean. We ate six courses and drank free water in a carafe, whereas yesterday at another restaurant we paid €7.50 for a 75cl bottle of water. In total, we paid €58.60 and ate very well.

Decent seafood spot with some misses on food (crab was gross) but other highlights (fry ups were lekker). Tons of seating, reliable no frills spot for big groups. Great cocktails.

It was a fun family dinner for our last night in Amsterdam. We were told to go by a local and they did not steer us wrong. Some excellent choices loved the small plates we all shared many many options!

This was everything! As someone from the portuguese seaside, this type of restaurant is very close to my heart. Food AMAZING, environment friendly and familiar, relaxed. Everything works, fast and efficient service. What a place. Fully reccomend and will comeback for sure!

Had a fantastic meal. I've been to so many restaurants in Amsterdam, but this one immediately ranks in the top 3. Simple dishes, incredibly well executed. Friendly staff. The self-service ordering works surprisingly well; your drinks arrive almost immediately and the food comes quickly. Highly recommended, I'll be coming back anytime soon!

I celebrated a friend’s birthday at Restaurant Barracuda, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Located in Amsterdam Noord, it’s easy to reach from Amsterdam Central: just take the free ferry to Buiksloterweg and hop on a short bus ride or enjoy a 20-minute walk through the creative Hamerkwartier. Barracuda’s concept is all about relaxed sharing, with a menu focused on the freshest daily catch and seasonal seafood dishes served as they are ready. We enjoyed fresh oysters, mussels, grilled bread topped with a rich tomato salsa, crispy calamari, perfectly cooked fries with aioli, a fresh salad, and delicious vegetable side dishes. Everything tasted fresh, simple, and full of flavor, proving that great ingredients don’t need much else. The atmosphere was lively and cozy, making it the perfect place to celebrate with friends. Great food, great wine, and lots of laughs it was one of those dinners you’ll be talking about long after the last plate is cleared. I’ll definitely be back!

Love it. Food is delicious, ordering system is set up smart and the ambiance is good. Sorry, have to mention it, but the staff wasn’t the happiest. When we arrived the host was a bit snappy and one of the waiters was a bit grumpy (perhaps it was the heat, but it was not only at our table). Anyways, dishes were delicious (good portions as well) and I love the simplicity of ordering food. You go up to the bar yourself so you’re basically in charge on how fast you drink and eat (drinks are ready immediately and the food comes fast as well). I hope they stay despite the renovation plans in the area.

Truly – once again – a real treat. I find the atmosphere at Barracuda very pleasant! I can't quite explain why, but it really appeals to me. Friendly service, delicious fish (!), a menu you just can't make up your mind from because you want to try everything, good wines, and pleasantly easy on the wallet too. I want to go back soon!

Lovely seafood restaurant with a friendly atmosphere. Ordering and getting drinks yourself at the bar is the same. We ate outside in the sun. Wonderful in terms of quality and atmosphere; from previous visits, I know that it is quite noisy inside.

Very nice for seafood enthusiasts. We enjoyed the idea of sharing portions as you can taste a lot of different dishes. Oysters is a must to start, langustine, shrimps, clams and mussels, scallops and fried fish, all amazing and tasty. The octopus salad was ok but nothing to die for. Overall, would totally visit again anytime I want some seafood.

We had a delicious meal at Barracuda last Friday. And as always, the service was great, quick and efficient, and for the first time we ate monkfish (ugly fish but very tasty). Highly recommended. The value for money is good, the wines were well chosen too, and I would say keep up the good work!

We had a great experience for a group of 12 as a birthday celebration. The service was excellent and the team were warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a great fun atmosphere for a large or small group. We had the set menu and the food was lovely with good sized portions. There is a great wine list to accompany this. I would recommend and will be back!
