Be sure to order per round, otherwise everything will arrive at once. Price-value ratio is under some pressure.

Love the ambiance and the people but the food is very, very mediocre. Not fresh, little taste, disappointing.

food was mediocre, it was great selection of seafood but not outstanding that would make me want to go back right away. service was time consuming. i would consider going back in the summer? edits: one meal that stood out was pulpo, the sauce was memorable and made the table fought over it.

The food looks fine, but what a mess it is. Unclean tables everywhere and not a single waitress who looks at you for a high chair, for example, or asks if everything is OK. You can order yourself at the bar, which I also thought was strange. And then you pay quite a lot. You get the feeling that you have ended up in a popular yuppie formula that only delivers for the owner and not for the customer.

Great location and we were helped by a super nice man behind the bar. But €150 for 2 people where you have to order your own food and drinks by going to the bar (they have no waitresses)? If the food is not spectacular, but average, I think the price/quality here is really not good at all.

Great tent for a group Pleasant to eat. In any case, the concept makes it not a romantic tent. A great tent for a Sunday evening with the kids. After a day of sailing with the crew, we ate delicious monkfish with oysters beforehand.

Greasy, salty, dirty. You constantly have to leave the table in this restaurant because you have to order your food at an ordering point at the bar. Then you stand in a queue for a long time and you don't socialize with your table companions. Staff is disinterested and apathetic. This 'special' concept is also expensive. Don't go here.

I was there last night (Oct 26) with a group of 21 people. The food was fine, but the people who worked there were excellent, all friendly and helpful, really nice!

Very hip & instagrammable spot at an yet-to-gentrify corner of Noord. The decor looks great, the waitstaff is friendly. The quality of food is below average. Stale fries and miso frito, salades drowned in oil and no seasoning. The clams in white wine were good.

Upon arrival, the roller door was still open, so we could enjoy the setting sun at the table. This was a good start to a very successful evening: very friendly and attentive staff, nice atmosphere because there was a lot of commotion because you have to order at the bar and of course good food. Our favorites were the octopus, fennel and swordfish. The only downside was that too much oil was used in the salads. Worth repeating.

Ok, the atmosphere is not super cozy, large high space with many tables. There is no table service, other than bringing the food. You must place orders (both food and drinks) yourself at the bar. BUT, the food is sublime. Everything that comes to the table is very tasty. All fish dishes are of high quality. In my opinion, they could reduce the amount of remoulade sauce a bit, as this is served with many dishes while it is not necessary.

High frying content and a lot of salt used. Beautiful place and super nice concept, but the food is really substandard. Shrimp croquettes were delicious, but €9.50 for two small croquettes is very serious. Fritto misto fried, hard and not tasty. Fried ray wing hard, dry and super salty. Super shame, we drove there especially because we thought we were going to eat delicious fish.

Food poisoning. Had a nice evening as a party of 5 however ~36 hours later two of our group became violently ill and spent the day bed ridden. Third group member experienced flu symptoms. We shared oysters, shrimp croquettes, octopus salad, mixed calamari and turbot. Not sure what caused this but will never repeat again.

While the overall ambiance was nice, I was slightly disappointed with some of the fried seafood & fries both of which arrived pretty cold & chewy. I’d say it was a disappointment a bit but worth for the beautifully decorated interior.

In my opinion one of the best places in Amsterdam at the moment. The place is very nicely decorated, the food was all great, the service is very good. Doesn't even feel like you're in Amsterdam, as restaurants in Ams are usually unnecessarily formal and expensive for what you get. Barracuda definitely has a different vibe!

This restaurant in Noord is an absolute gem! The space is large and creatively furnished with vintage school tables and chairs, adding a quirky touch to the ambiance. While it can get quite lively and loud, the food more than makes up for it. We enjoyed five incredible fish dishes, a fresh salad, and a portion of the most delicious fries I’ve ever had. Paired with a lovely bottle of wine, the entire meal came to 130€, which was well worth it for the quality and experience. I’ll definitely be returning—highly recommended!

Not impressed at all. Cool atmosphere, but many dishes were too salty and overcooked. Small portions and overpriced. Staff was a bit arrogant. Trendy new place in noord but as many places here its not worth the hype.

Very nice atmosphere and the shells in white wine sauce were delicious. Didn't touch the fritto misto, so tasteless and salty. Kibbeling ditto.

I found the samphire to be bland in taste. Some garlic and salt would help. The toast is ridiculously hard and crispy, so if you wear braces, beware. Shrimp croquettes are meh and you only get 2 lousy croquettes. Furthermore, it is not nice that you have to get your own drinks. I find the decoration and ambiance cold in its entirety. The seats are not comfortable. Slightly overpriced for what you get. Fries were the tastiest...

It is a pleasant atmosphere, good food. Especially the snacks that you eat together, so enjoyable. Just get used to the ordering method, then fine. Nice employees. All in all, you will see us again soon.

Great ! The seafood was very good and fresh. Desserts too. Prices are correct. Fairly fast service. Different atmosphere in this redeveloped hangar. The team is cool and young. Everything is to be shared. There can be quite a queue at the bar to take your order but it still moves quickly. I still advise you to book in advance.

Unfortunately, not such a positive experience. We were warmly received, which was nice, but then the staff doesn't really look around because you have to order everything yourself at the bar. The food was also very disappointing, the worst thing is that everything came out later in the evening... We really had high expectations because of the hype, but 2 stars for us (for the warm reception).

Had a delicious meal with 3 young children. Super accessible, but very good atmosphere and good quality fish dishes. Also dishes and types of fish that you don't see everywhere on the menu. Simple, but all very tasty. We will definitely come back here again.

Interesting, good taste. You should reserve a table with reasonable chairs. We sat on top on very uncomfortable stools. The background noise is enormous. My partner couldn't figure out why this was "in". 1x is enough, you've been there once.

One of the best restaurant in Amsterdam

I ordered crab legs, octopus and a glass of wine. Half of the crab legs were cooked too long so they were dry inside. The octopus was only 1 tentacle...I expected a whole one, like I always eat in the Algarve. The wine was delicious, the price €40 Just like a daycare center: kids running around everywhere and babies crying to the left and right of my table. I won't be back.

We are there for lunch, we happened to cycle past. Ordered Fritto misto crispy and delicious with fries and mayonnaise.

The food was fine, well prepared and tasted good. The service in general was fine, but I still give a low score for that. The following points were less important: I ordered the stuffed lemon with ice for desert and was given a glass in my hand and told that I could take it from the freezer myself. When I got there I found a plastic-wrapped product. Not so nice for the price of €8, service level here is equal to a company canteen. And there was also an extra plate missing for the shells of prawns, etc., normal serving cutlery for the lettuce, a set of longer forks or at least more than 1 for the snails, etc. When my mother showed this to bar staff, she was told that the concept was not for everyone is. Strange reaction and unfortunately this person is not suitable to work in the catering industry, after all, as staff you are open to receiving feedback, right? That's fine, with caveats.

Small portion and staff has no idea what they are doing. You have to walk inside to order your food and even then they keep on making mistakes. I ordered shrimp croquettes but it came with no bread and sauce, the croquettes themselves were just 2 centimeters long. Cheap chairs and furniture. Toilets were dirty.

Right place to enjoy the of the sea food

Simply a special place. You don't expect it, but it's just great. The fish was super fresh and so were the side dishes. Very large portions. The service was very nice and explained the concept to us very well. When we are there again we will eat here.

Already eaten twice now. First time in the evening. Second time for lunch. Both times a success. Order at the bar and take your own drinks to the table. Food is brought. Not all the time that the waiter bothers you by asking if you want something to drink. Really nice. We also enjoyed the food: monkfish and octopus are highly recommended. And I'm not even talking about the bickering. We were served our dessert by a robot. Service is super nice and as soon as they see an empty plate they take it from your table. So Barracuda is highly recommended!!

Nice place to go as a couple or a large group. Fast service and friendly staff. Will definitely visit again. Around the corner you also have Barracuda Bar. Also a nice place to eat and drink.

Went again today for lunch. Good food remains, but it seems as if the concept of good food for a reasonable price has become less relevant due to its success. Half a liter of tap wine for 18.50 is 26.00 for a bottle of house wine on tap. 3 euros for an oyster is not cheap either. 7.50 for lettuce full of veins, a little vinaigrette. Purchase 70 cents. That's not right either. Plate of shells, delicious, beautiful little mussels, I love them. But I don't like a lot of sand. Shrimp croquettes are delicious, but I think they are from Holtkamp. You must mention this on the map. We still come back but with a bit of a bitter aftertaste. Not just because of the salad. First experience: Read a lot about it. Everything was tasty. Price quality more than okay. We will definitely come back.

Closed at 10pm when the website says 11pm. I had to miss dinner after a 20min walk from the station. Quite irresponsible management it seems.

Great vibe, friendly staff. However the shellfish foods were not fresh - the clams were very sandy and the sea snails were almost dangerous to eat. I’m unsure if they have prepare the sea snail correctly because the heads were attached a piece of shell and it almost cut my tongue. My boyfriend had serious reaction after we were home from the dinner, episodes of vomiting and gastrointestinal distress. And, we both had wired muscle aches and light nausea the following day. I only give three stars to the service because it was 90% self-service. I don’t mind the self- service part, just some dishes take forever to come and we have to constantly double check with the staff if our order was received.

A place you regret the moment you stepped in. The ambiance was unpleasant. They stuffed people next to eachother, looks like a school cantina. You have to wait like more than 5 min on the line to get seated. Then once you decide what you will eat, you have to get up and wait on the line to order your food. Then you need to wait on another line to get your drinks.

Cozy and basic. Available for children. Food is good quality, especially the kibbeling. The vongole, razor clams and mussels had some sand/white wine sauce, could have been fuller/buttery. Fries were just a little too light. Crab legs were great, as were the oysters and croquettes. Very friendly service, I never thought ordering at the bar was great for the experience and dining out. But very good quality-price ratio and drinks nicely priced. Definitely going again. But less suitable for real evening dining.

The monkfish, given the texture, looked like it was frozen and already put in the oven. Shame! Also a bit tasteless. For the price I paid for 6 Shrimp, I would buy a kilo at Makro... A large seafood restaurant located in a warehouse in Noord, featuring a casual setting with semi-self service. The food is quite basic but generally decent.

Great food, but maybe they need to revisit the way they serve families with kids. When asked if they had any high chairs for babies they replied “we have only one, and it’s now taken”. No sorry, no apologies.. Regarding the other highchairs for toddlers “we have a couple, go and have a look around if you can find them”. Thanks 👌🏻

When we tried to order a dessert at 4 PM, we were told the kitchen was closed. We were not informed in advance that the kitchen would be closing soon.

Such a bad experience! We book a table at 15:00 o’clock and they gave time until 17:00 o’clock but in the middle of our lunch they didn’t serve us anymore because the kitchen was already closed,they said . No body advised us before. Unbelievable!

Had a wonderful meal with Paula

This is now one of my new favourite spots in Noord and one of my favourite seafood spots in the city. Ambiance is great, it’s in a large warehouse that’s very well decorated. We got there a bit earlier and they offered us some champagne while we waited. We ordered a lot of food, I underestimated the portion sizes, and every dish was unique and amazing in its own way. My favourite dishes were the kibbeling and the Tarbot. We paired our meal with a great bottle of orange wine. Overall, service is excellent, food is great and vibes are immaculate. Definitely recommend!

Good food, especially the (small) starters! Kibbeling is a large portion, a bit too much for us (2 people). Atmosphere is very cozy. On Saturday evening around 7:00 PM, many families and children play outside on the terrace. A bit like on the beach. Service is great: very nice staff who think along with you.
