We stumbled upon a seafood shop and were thrilled to see they had our favorite fish and chips. We ordered two plates initially, and they were so incredibly delicious that we couldn't resist ordering two more! Definitely worth trying.

I drove another 40 kilometers or so to Amsterdam, but this time to double-check after the first time that the previous experience wasn't a flash in the pan. Well, nothing could have been further from the truth. The restaurant was quite full, there was parking right outside, and the counter was quiet. We chose 4.5 kg of delicious fresh fish, shrimp, and squid rings for seven adults. We had four bowls of fish soup and four bowls of chermilla, and a generous baguette to take away. We paid over €160 for all this delicious food, and had absolutely no complaints about the food, except that it wasn't as hot when we got home, but that was due to us and the distance. Everything was freshly baked and grilled. Absolutely fantastic for well over €20 per person. It's hard to find that anywhere else. Closed for a month from the end of July to the end of August, but after that...

Good food, on one side a choice of many types of fish and on the other side various flat es dishes, tajine or couscous. Top service, we went for the fish but because we had to wait for a table to become free we could take a seat on the other side and our food was brought there.

We ordered several types of fish for the grill and the fryer. Unfortunately, we also received a free salt mine without asking: 0.5 kilos of salt and fish spices. Shameless disrespect for the customer's taste buds. The fish arrived colder than my mother-in-law's smile. And then they dare to demand 85 euros for a meager portion of fish for 2 people. In short: unless you like spending money to be insulted, give Royal Vies a wide berth.

If you like fish, soup, this is the place. Select your pre- meal or choose your fresh they will cook it. I like the shrimp n soup, delicious. Every time I get to Amsterdam, I eat there. Prices went up, tho. It's not a fancy please to dine in, casual, share a table place. All I care about is that the food is excellent and eatable.

We visited this seafood restaurant located quite close to the center of Amsterdam. Parking was not an issue, and you can also easily get there by bike. Sehr schneller und freundlicher Service, großes/frisches Meeresfrüchteangebot, aber der Hammer sind die Preise: 30,- für eine gemischte Meeresfrüchteplatte plus Pommes +2 Getränke plus diverse Saucen für 2 Personen … das kann ich nur empfehlen!!!

A great place to get a fresh fish dinner! Pick what you want from the fish case, and they prepare it for you straight away. Cooked as good as any “restaurant”, although you aren’t going to find a bunch of creative preparations. Still, Had a piece of halibut and salmon, soup, salad, fries drinks for less than €30. Wirth speaking from a world, travelers perspective and amazing price for a fresh dinner. Worth the short train trip out of downtown Amsterdam.

This is not a fancy fish restaurant, but a caterer with a restaurant component. Folksy in character, but the food is really great. Two delicious grilled (not fried) gourmet dishes with fries, salad and ravigotte sauce for €14.30 Price/quality is unprecedented. You'll pay twice as much in another restaurant. Friendly staff, smooth service. Order at the counter/display case with fish. Highly recommended, well attended. I'm from IJmuiden, I know a thing or two about fish

Anytime we have the chance to go to Amsterdam North eating at this place is a must. Last time I went ( a week ago after long time) I have to admit the communication was not as I was used to. I asked several times for a specific fish but this wasn't done. I had to kindly re ask and I was told i didn't order that fish at all.... Well this can happen, mostly if someone is busy with the phone instead of listening. But overall it remains a good experience.

As always, a delicious meal. The concept is well organized, you order what you want and then everything is freshly prepared while you wait at your table or wait to take away. You pay when you have finished eating, you can get your own drinks or sauces. And I can recommend that you drink a nice mint tea to finish. There is also plenty to choose from for the children, and if they are not used to eating, there are always fries 😁. And finally, the prices are very reasonable, so it is all very good value for money.

Ended up here through an acquaintance. Have a fish dish baked at home. I've been helped very well. We waited for our order while enjoying a drink. It took about fifteen minutes. Well packed, leak-free and still nice and warm. The fish was well fried, very tasty, but a bit bland in taste, missing some herbs and salt (certainly not meant negatively). Next time we will come and eat on site because they have enough space for this. Definitely recommended for fishing enthusiasts

Fishmonger where you can sit in the room or outside to enjoy a plate of raw vegetables and fries with the fish of your choice (sea bream, salmon, etc.). I chose the salmon, I was treated to two steaks of very fresh salmon and well cooked as I had requested. The waiter is very nice and even kindly agreed to make plain rice on request for my friend who was sick. Small downside on the credits which deserve to be a little better seasoned because it was a little bland. If I have the opportunity I will go back with pleasure!

We went there by recommendation from outside, we said oula... In fact it's a fishmonger and you can choose your fish and eat fresh dishes prepared on the spot. The plate is €14.50 which is really worth it because it's a big plate, it's a little cold but hey it's a fishmonger so normal. The only downside was that while we were eating, someone started wanting to clean the floors with water and bleach. The smell was unbearable. We had to leave in a hurry, it was taking us by the throat. Fortunately, we had finished our plates.

Where do I begin. I arrived 40 minutes in advance so that I could have food on the table for iftar. In the end it never came to the table. The service was even worse. No one listened and the order was completely wrong. They had only withheld the payment prcs. Asking for 60 euros for food you never gave me? During Ramadan. Astagfirulah and then these are my own people. So I will never eat here again.
