Great food. The team takes great care to provide most authentic Italian taste. Their Bruschetta, risotto, pesto tiramisu and affogato were delicious.

It's not easy to find because the name of the restaurant is not legible from the outside. The welcome is nice and the service is polite. The place is quite cramped and the waiters need to be careful when moving between tables. The food is not bad, the mixed platter is particularly delicious and the tiramisu is also acceptable. Unfortunately, the steak was quite weak, despite the wine reduction, it was completely characterless and tasteless.

Very tasty pasta, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Different from some other places in the street where it's loud, and you feel like you're being rushed out the door. It's a cozy getaway in the street. Definitely would go here again!

Delicious food and plenty of choice

On a Thursday night, without a reservation, we were very well received when we got a table for 4 at this Italian restaurant. We ate very well, especially the RAVIOLONI and the LASAGNA ALLA BOLOGNESE. For starters, we ordered the salad and the burrata, which had a very good tomato sauce.

A fine restaurant, but I wouldn't return. The food is well-prepared, and you can tell the kitchen is working hard. The quality is excellent, a solid 7—not bad, but not particularly good either. Unfortunately, the fish lacked some balance in flavors, leaving the dish a bit bland. On the plus side: the wine list is strong, and the staff is friendly and attentive, though sometimes things moved a bit too quickly. In short: a fine evening, but not a place I'll be returning to anytime soon.

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had and such kind and generous people. Would definitely come back and it was very fairly priced for a group of five. Make sure someone gets the lasagna so you can try it or get one to share.

Absolutely wonderful authentic Italian restaurant. The pasta is homemade and divinely cooked. The flavours are delicious (my linguine alle vongole was one of the best I have had) and the whole experience was unpretentious and unhurried. Simple things are hard to do well. Segugio do it brilliantly.

A fantastic Italian restaurant. The food is truly delicious, and the service is excellent. The staff goes above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. The restaurant isn't large, and the menu isn't extensive. However, the food is perfect. I've eaten there twice now and will definitely go back!

A very nice discovery this evening, in all simplicity, wine and ravioli with a perfect asparagus sauce. The olive oil on the table is remarkable, rare enough to remind me that it is hard to find such good oil today. Real table service, all the staff make sure we lack nothing, refill glasses as needed etc... The setting is intimate and everyone has a kind word. I insist, it is very good cuisine. Thank you!

A quality dinner in an Italian restaurant with Italian dishes, ingredients, and quality. I enjoyed an excellent bean and mussel soup, delicate yet flavorful, followed by sea bass with a bed of spinach, pistachio crumble, and drops of beetroot puree, and finished with a magnificent tiramisu. The staff were all Italian, and the prices were in line with the cost of living in Amsterdam. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening at Segugio, a small and welcoming Italian restaurant on Utrechtsestraat. The food was traditional, well-prepared, and made with fresh ingredients. The wine selection was solid, and the owner clearly knows his stuff. Service throughout the night was attentive and friendly. All in all, a cozy spot that makes for a pleasant night out.

A wonderful dinner!!! The waiters were super friendly. For a starter, roasted vegetables with burrata, followed by risotto with zetas and parmesan cheese. Wonderful. For the main course, meat. I haven't even gotten to dessert yet, but it looked delicious. The wine list was varied and good. An excellent choice in Amsterdam.

Creo que el caballero es el dueño, es tan cordial y agradable. Los postres no decepcionaron. Mi esposo tomó helado y yo tomé su fabuloso Tiramisu. Después de probar algunos restaurantes no tan grandes sabíamos que íbamos a volver a Segugio. Lo hicimos y comí su risotto, pasta de mi marido otra vez. Vimos sus peces y también se veía muy bien. No te pierdas este restaurante. Se lo recomendamos a una pareja que conocimos en el hotel y dijeron que les encantó también.

A wonderfully informal Italian restaurant that has been serving authentic Italian dishes that far exceed mediocrity for decades. In addition, an excellent wine list with good and interesting choices from Adriano himself. The calm, sympathetic owner is always present and manages his professional team. Pleasant, unhurried, intimate atmosphere that is often hard to find in the current city center of Amsterdam. In short, highly recommended.

Nice setting, good food but tiny portions and expensive. Speedy boss... who prevents his waitresses from presenting the menus, from serving... in short a little calm and a little more quantity and that would be perfect 👍

Price/quality not in proportion. The taste was fine, but the presentation of the plates was substandard. Felt like I was getting a quick bite at a diner somewhere.

Delicious meal in an idyllic location, 1st floor by the window with a nice view of the street and activity. Bavet and Ristretto, not large portions but really worth it. Friendly service, as if you were abroad for a while. Recommended for a theater visit, Carré.

A delicious evening meal. We (2 adults) just appeared off the street, without a reservation. We enjoyed the charcuterie platter very much, and then I had vegetarian lasagne. That was delicious. So cheesey and delicious with a delightful assortment of textures (pieces of crunchy cheese, tender pasta, aldente vegetables... Fantastic). Visit this place if you can. You will not leave hungry.

Ein sehr gemütliches Restaurant "authentisch", diese Wort haben wir öfter benutzt. Sehr freundliche und fachmännische, aber nicht aufdringliche Bedienung. Dazu eine offene Küche, eine tolle, qualitativ hochwertige Weinauswahl und hervorragendes Essen. An diesem Abend hat alles gestimmt. Wir können einen Besuch nur empfehlen.

If you want to remember how tomatoes should taste like (among other vegetables) you have to visit Segugio. It’s a gem in Amsterdam that boasts freshly sourced ingredients from the motherland and serves delicious food for a memorable evening. The place is intimate which makes for excellent conversations. The owner/sommelier knows their wines, I’m a big fan of their Abruzzo reds, and he’s a funny conversationalist/ storyteller. I’m a convert.

I was in Amsterdam for work, and a friend, knowing my needs regarding the quality of meals, recommended this restaurant to me, in the city center. Intimate and charming place, open kitchen, I immediately felt comfortable. The place was full, luckily I had booked in advance. The menu is full of particular dishes, prepared with care and presented with attention using exclusively Italian and above all very fresh ingredients. Adriano is the owner, very Italian, and he, a very good sommelier, suggested the wines to pair with the meals. I ate very well, I'm really satisfied and the prices are very honest. This time I went to the Segugio alone, but I will definitely go back with friends on the next occasion, and I highly recommend it to anyone in Amsterdam who doesn't want to give up an excellent lunch or dinner, without stumbling upon one of the many fake Italian restaurants around for the world. Congratulations to Adriano and his dining room and kitchen staff.

After 6 years, I found my favorite Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. It feels, tastes, smells even sounds like an authentic Italian restaurant:) Adriano is the greatest, on top of absolutely everything and all his recommendations were flawless. Everyone else that helped us out were also incredibly friendly, polite and just great at their jobs. The risotto funghi e tartufo was to die for and the recommended wine (Marina Cvetic Montepulciano) I'm hoping to find a case of to keep it at home. Many many thanks to the whole team for a wonderful evening.

The simple yet very good menu is delivered better than they do back home in Italy....The chef is a young man that i decided to meet after eating his Ragu of beef and pork and he was such a down to earth great guy. The steak is cooked to perfection and the deserts are again great yet simple. I liked it because usually in Italian restaurants abroad ( and i travel a lot ) the menu always has a local taste influence.... but not here, the food here is 100% ITALIAN and genuine.....AND SO IT SHOULD BE. the wine list is also superb , and you don't have to spend a huge amount unless you want to.... The atmosphere is cosy and warm and the staff is quick and they understand what you want .... plus they don't come to your table every 2 minutes , instead they serve you the food, they know their food is good and they let you eat it. PERFECT This was my second time in Amsterdam and my first time in this restaurant but i will be back with my wife next time ......Thanks guys

Una splendida serata. Ottimo il cibo, in particolare le tagliatelle al nero di seppia con gamberoni e zucchine e le melanzane alla parmigiana. Ambiente elegante e curato ma con un'atmosfera informale e familiare. Puntuale il servizio.

Great restaurant and good service

We were dining at Segugio after our daughter’s graduation. Great location and atmosphere, the owner Adriano greeted us very kindly and explained the menu. The food was amazing - we had appetizers, main course (each of us different pasta), dessert and some drinks an everything was fresh & tasty! Definitely recommend for your visit in Amsterdam or if you live there!!

Met een paar vrienden met kinderen bij Segugio gegeten. De eigenaar raadde een aantal gerechten en wijnen aan, hij wist over alle gerechten en wijn wel wat te vertellen waardoor de keuze makkelijker werd. Het eten was heerlijk! Erg fijn dat het restaurant niet zo groot is, het voelt erg persoonlijk zonder dat je te dicht bij je buren zit. Aanrader!

The food is good, but a bit pricey. the service is not the best, the staff asked us to leave after 1.5 hours. There were no waiting people, in fact, there were free tables. And you did not offer us deserts and the staff made everything to feel us unwelcome. The evening was ruined, I will never recommend this place

We are a couple visiting Amsterdam for the weekend. Segugio was excellent for Italian food and vibe, while the venue itself still catered for a Dutch feeling. We had the starter plate with a little bit of everything. For the main course we had the meat of the day with ravioli. Both were delicious. We asked the sommelier to bring us wine matching the menu, and he gave us great quality. She tried the coffee ice cream dessert, leaving her with a grateful smile on her lips.

We had dinner here yesterday and it was phenomenal! The ravioli stuffed with asparagus and ricotta was amazing! My husband had the bean & mussels soup and then lasagne which did not disappoint! I started with burrata cheese with roasted red peppers and tomato. All that and a bottle of good wine very reasonably priced. If I were to comment on anything negative it would be that we ordered amaretto cordials after dinner & they were served in basic water glasses??? Very strange but certainly did not detract from the pleasure of dining here. Lively atmosphere and friendly staff. Don’t miss this place!!

Hier een bedrijfsetentje gehad met een groep van 12 man. Wat hebben we genoten bij Segugio. De eigenaar Adriano en zijn team hebben ons heel vriendelijk bediend, we zaten heel leuk op een tussenverdieping waar we genoeg privacy hadden. Heerlijke Italiaanse gerechten, de antipasti plank was om te smullen, paddestoel risotto is hun specialiteit, die je niet mag missen en het stukje bavette was perfect. De wijnen waren ook waanzinnig, echt genoten van Ca' del Bosco. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug. Thank you, guys!
