Trattoria That's Amore in De Weteringschans

Food is OK. Everything else is over-rated. We booked at 21.30 and they make you feel you have to rush because they want to leave. The atmosphere is the opposite to cozy.

We really enjoy this Italian trattoria and visit often. The staff are always warm and welcoming, and if there isn’t a table available, there’s almost always a cozy spot by the window. The pizza is classic and relies on high-quality ingredients rather than overly creative toppings. The pasta dishes also stay true to traditional Italian cuisine. I appreciate the clean, authentic flavors and the very attentive team. The affogato is the perfect way to finish every visit. Highly recommended!

I like the place: fine food and wine, good service. But I really dislike the predefined tip at payment. To me that is a show stopper: whatever I planned: no tip.

When the staff serving you speaks Italian and you see groups of Italians at the tables, you know you've made the right choice. The service was very friendly and prompt. We ordered pizzas, which were very tasty (Sicilian, Margherita, and "amore") and of considerable size. A wide variety of wines was offered, with plenty of options by the glass to accompany the meal. To top it all off, a very good tiramisu, smooth with an excellent mascarpone texture, and a very fresh marcuyà cheesecake.

Eating Italian in Amsterdam is difficult, but here they do it very well, and the staff is very friendly. A truly positive experience!

We had a Margherita pizza, and gnocchi with tomato confit, pistachios, and straciella - everything was excellent. We sat down because we saw that most of the diners were Italian - what's good for Italians is great for us. A family place with excellent dishes.

Had dinner at Trattoria That’s Amore while visiting Amsterdam. The place feels really cozy and welcoming, kind of like a neighborhood Italian spot. Staff were super friendly and made us feel comfortable right away. We ordered pasta and pizza — both tasted fresh and flavorful, you can tell they use good ingredients. The tiramisu was nice but a bit on the small side. The only downside was that service got a little slow once the restaurant filled up, but nothing too bad. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re craving Italian food in the city. I’d happily go back.

Had a fantastic Eggplant Lasagna and Lambrusco wine to drink. Great views of the people passing by and relaxed meal.

The pizza and risotto were delicious and carefully prepared and served. The house red wine was excellent. The noise reminds you more of a busy café than a restaurant. A shame.

We went there ror dinner. We reserved a table 2hr befor. We were party of 4. The food and the service was grate. We got 2 pizza , 2 pasta and one appetizer and one dessert, all were perfect.

A small, cozy Italian restaurant. Typical place for Amsterdam, long and relatively narrow - but still plenty of space. The staff is nice and funny, and the two pizzas served deliver on the taste. Booked a table in advance, although unsure how necessary this is on a weekday. There are a few empty tables here and there occasionally.

I didn't LOVE it. But it is excellent. I think I need to go back just to take photos of the food Apart from the fact that we were first placed right next to another couple in a very small space when there were other 2 person tables available (with space between them). The service was outstanding We had the mixed starter for 2 people. I even had a little bit of the veal! The carbonara was one if not the best I have ever had. We were satisfied after the starter but really wanted to give the carbonara a shot. The shared portion (beautifully served in 2 dishes) was bigger, better and cheaper than I was served in 2 other Italian restaurants on the same street! It was all so beautiful and delicious and we didn't take any photos 😭 The mixed Mezze was really good value at just under €17pp. It had the best caponata (I don't usually like it), proper pokey rucola, the artichokes were amazing, my companion had never had a better burrata (finally realised what 'they're' on about) as well as 3 kinds of meat and a hard cheese I will definitely be going back!

We’ve been here and we enjoyed the food very much. We, as an italian couple, can say the italian food was authentic in here, opposite to most of places where we ate. A mention for Giusi who was particularly nice and kind to us. We definitely recommend this place

My favorite Italian in Amsterdam for many years. I would call it classic Italian cuisine. I almost always go for the Melanzane Parmigiana. With their home-made bread this is really delicious. The service is always friendly/warm.

As you can see from other reviews, the pizza was very good. We each ordered a drink and a large bottle of water with the three pizzas. For dessert, we had tiramisu, which was also very tasty. For everything together, we ended up paying €81 for three people, without tip. Considering the very good food, very friendly service, and fast service, the price is totally justified. Had been “dating” my girlfriend for a year and had mentioned that as a comment on my reservation. The owner came with a prosecco when we were seated, what a service. In addition, the food was excellent; a real Italian as it should be. If you read in the reviews that the carbonara was too greasy or the pizza too limp, I would completely ignore them, because they don't understand anything about it😉. Top business!

Un restaurant italien authentique et familial c’est plutôt rare. Ambiance cosy avec une musique agréable. Bien placé juste en face du métro. Une carte simple mais qui propose un choix d’antipasti, de plats de pâtes et surtout de pizzas savoureuses. Une pizza à la pâte ultra fine, une des meilleures qu’on ait eu la chance de manger. Good place for dinner, the menu is Italian and they have special dishes that change every month. Good quality and quantity of product, although I have to say that in our case they partially burned the pizza, very delicious but we had to eliminate pieces of it that were burned and could not be eaten. Fantastic service and cozy space. Good value for money.

What a gem of real Italian food in the Netherlands this is! Italian food is about quality ingredients and that is of the highest level here. I have not yet found friendly service and prices for this level in the Netherlands

We always enjoy That’s Amore for a casual neighborhood bite - especially when we can get a table outside on a nice day, like yesterday. But our pizzas last night were disappointing- a bit soggy, oily, and skimpy on the ingredients. It’s usually better.
