We felt like we were treated very differently from the other customers. We were the only Black people there, and we were consistently ignored while others were served. I even had to wait a long time just to pay the bill. It was a very disappointing experience. The food was good, but unfortunately the service was not.

Service is fine, though it is strange that they indicate there is no table available while the place is half empty, and you are allowed to take a seat after insisting. The food is tasty and the portions are reasonable. A fine experience, but for the price, it could all be just a little bit better.

Great, authentic italian place, we felt like being in Italy for dinner. The service was excellent, the athmosohere was great and the food was amazing. Will definitely return for another dinner.

A lovely little trendy restaurant. A nice, cozy atmosphere. Dress code: smart casual, but not too casual. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the rigatoni with tender, simmered beef cubes. We had the burrata as a starter and the polpette. They weren't the best I've ever had, but they were very good. The pizza was exquisite, the thin slices of beef a delight. The wine was good and affordable by the glass ($9 for Pinot Grigio), and the espresso Martini was great too. 👌 Total: €151 for 4 drinks, 2 starters, and 2 main courses.

The pizza was amazing, so was the wine and cocktails. I would also like to congratulate the staff, the service was exquisite, perfect timing and attention to details. On the other side, the pasta was a bit of a disappointment in my opinion. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expected more from it. The cooking point was perfect, beautifully al dente. However, while the carbonara was enjoyable, it felt more like a cheese sauce than an authentic Italian carbonara. The guanciale (if it was indeed guanciale) seemed to be of very low quality and resembled bacon. Perhaps the issue starts with the menu translation itself (“Italian bacon”), considering guanciale is not even the same cut of meat. Still, I decided to give it a chance and ended up disappointed. The ragù was also okay, but in my opinion it tasted more like a spiced tomato sauce with partially shredded pieces of meat rather than the slow-cooked stew you would expect from a restaurant of this category, where the meat melts apart and the flavor develops much greater depth and richness. Conclusion: We had a wonderful experience overall and received exceptional service. We will certainly return, but we will skip the pasta and stick with the pizza.

If you cancel your reservation days before, you won’t get your €60 dollar deposit back. So i’d recommend booking other restaurants in Amsterdam that don’t steal deposits and ignore your e-mails about it.

The food was actually tasty. I thought the pasta was just Vapiano quality. The lady who works there is very friendly, but the male waiter or manager wasn't. He looked like he wasn't interested. The biggest downside was that there was no air conditioning inside. It was boiling hot.

Excellent Italian food with a gracious owner who delivers a fairly priced wine list. I had the Frutti de mare with perfectly cooked Spaghetti. We sat the bar watching the kitchen prepare each dish. You won’t be disappointed.

We wanted to try a new restaurant and had high expectations. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. We paid over €100 for food that felt like simple patio dining, without anything special. Additionally, the food was cold when we received it — literally every plate that came to the table. There was no point in complaining; we were hungry. I really don't understand why people comment here that the food is of good quality… apparently they have never been to a good restaurant. The service was good and the staff friendly, but for us, it is not worth repeating.

We had a wonderful evening at FIKO. The staff was incredibly helpful. They also really helped us think about the choices for our baby and children. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. We deliberately went a bit earlier so that we, as a large group and with the children, could enjoy ourselves in peace. The service is truly top-notch! The staff are friendly, attentive, and very helpful. All in all, definitely recommended!

The staff was polite. The atmosphere was not very pleasant. I chose the Carbonara and I got surprised of how fully fat it was. The bacon was just fat. Prisewise I think it is an expensive restaurant for what it offers you. Not recommended.

A gem run by a family from Puglia. Simple philosophy: great ingredients, honest cooking and it shows. We’ve visited several times and highlights include the parma and mozzarella di bufala, an outstanding parmigiana di melanzane, a surprisingly excellent arrabbiata, and a great tagliata di manzo. Pizza is good too, but go for a dish if you have to choose. We really liked Pistacchiarella. Cosy but quite dark inside in the evening — there’s a small terrace outside if you prefer.

We had a super delicious meal. Bruschetta Bella is highly recommended 😍. The service was nice and friendly. We had the Tiramisu for dessert, it was delicious!!

The service and ambience were really good. But the food was just average. We ordered focaccia and fries as starters, a pasta, a pizza as a main course, and a tiramisu. Pasta tasted like Barilla pasta or any random supermarket pasta. I understand you don't do your own pasta, but you can use a better brand. The meat in the pasta was mentioned as "slow-cooked," but it wasn't soft enough. Pizza was nice but nothing extraordinary. It was plain. Maybe you can roast the pistachios or add an acidic ingredient so it changes the taste a bit. Tiramisu was more like a mousse rather than a tiramisu.

Visited FIKO for the first time and had a delicious pizza. I was driving past and thought, “why not, just try.” Upon entering, it smelled wonderful and I saw a delicious pizza being prepared. I ended up having the Pistachio Pizza and the Vitello Tonnato. I especially liked the pizza! The only thing I noticed was that it was quite dark. Probably to achieve the atmosphere they are aiming for. The waitresses and bar staff were very nice and open. Very tasty food and a good experience.

We were over in Amsterdam for our wedding anniversary. Normally they say reservations but we explained it was our anniversary and they accommodated us within 30 minutes. The food and the service was exceptional and I would highly recommend if you go to check them out.

Really great food and amazing ambience. I was most impressed by the staff service, they take your coat upon arrival and even give you branded bag holders for your table, really nice touch. Very attentive and ready to service you drinks and food whenever you’re ready. Food did not take long at all and drinks were amazing. The espresso martini was one of the best I’ve ever had, 10/10! We ordered one of the pastas and the salmon tartare. The salmon tartare was nice but as expected, but it was really the pasta that surprised me. I would highly recommend this place for a nice dinner and good drinks with a partner or friend. Wish I could have tried more of the food as the pizzas also looked great.

Staff were very rude and made us feel uncomfortable the entire time. The atmosphere was not welcoming at all. Food was bad and not enjoyable. Overall, not worth the money. Would not recommend.

This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the very moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. The manager looked at us in a very judgmental way, which immediately made us feel out of place. Instead of being greeted warmly, we were met with cold, critical stares that completely ruined the mood. It only got worse once we sat down. While we were eating and taking some photos, one of the staff members kept staring at us constantly. It wasn’t just a quick glance it was prolonged and uncomfortable, to the point where my friend felt extremely uneasy and disturbed. We couldn’t relax for even a second because it felt like we were being watched the entire time. What made the situation even more unacceptable was that both the staff and the manager were openly talking about us right in front of us. It was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. No customer should ever feel judged, talked about, or made uncomfortable like that. As for the food, it did nothing to make up for the terrible service. Everything was overly salty and tasted very poor. On top of that, the prices are outrageously high and absolutely not worth it. It’s not worth the money for the food, and definitely not worth it for the service. Customer service: 0/10 Food quality: extremely disappointing Value for money: 0/10 I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.

Normally I think the food at Fiko is really good, but this time it was a huge disappointment. I had ordered a lasagna, and while eating, there was just a hair in it. That is really not okay. Because of that, I had to throw away my entire lasagna, which is a waste, of course. It also made me quite nauseous.

Wonderful dinner experience, great food complimented by super service and lovely atmosphere

We dined here for a birthday. We really enjoyed the food, and the service was incredibly friendly. Eros served us all evening and he was truly incredibly friendly. We recommend this place, not just for the food, but definitely for the service as well.

First time visiting FIKO. FIKO has a strong name in Amsterdam, especially being across from Fikissimo with the same owner, so expectations were high. I had the filetto di chianina. On the waiter’s recommendation, I ordered it medium, since he explained it doesn’t have much fat and is already quite lean. The steak itself was very good and well prepared. Unfortunately, the fries were super cold and quite soggy, which was disappointing (especially since at Fikissimo they’re usually very good). The rest of the table was happy with their dishes. One pizza was forgotten at first, but it was brought later and turned out great. Overall, very good food and a solid experience, just a few small things that could be improved.

The Margherita pizza was very good. The penne alababaita was disgusting—undercooked, tasteless, and awful! However, the service was very classy! They offered us the pasta and a dessert for free because we didn't eat the pasta.

Fantastic food and great service

The food was good, I enjoyed my pasta and the starter. Also I like the fact that they have mocktails. However, as described in other comments, the service is a low. They said that our "table" was at the bar. Fine. But constantly the waiter was hitting my chair, and they were not proactive to come to serve us. The waiter with the short hair was so arrogant, that the entire time he looked down at us, without any clear reason for that. The music was also loud, making me hurry to leave the place.

We've walked past this place so many times, but never gone in. Today we did, and we're so glad we did. Top-notch food, top quality, and top-notch service. The place has a wonderful atmosphere. Everything was perfect. The chef was truly amazing and focused on her work. We'll definitely be back! The Italian waiter was also fantastic.

Prices were high but the food quality was above what you normaly get in an Italian restaurant. We were three people and all of us were very satisfied with our meals and the desserts. The portion sizes were much larger than expected, unnecessary large. In fine dining usually portion sizes are smaller than average. The waitress were knowledgeable and very service minded. Overall a successful night.

Overall food was good not great not the biggest disappointment was about their service. We just don’t feel welcome there and couple of arrogant staffs. There are plenty of great places in Amsterdam that can offer you great food, great atmosphere and intensive service.

- Staff wasn’t at the door to greet me and take me to my table - When I sat down, it took more than 10 minutes for them to come back to get the order for drinks - Wine glass portion was VERY small, and it was served somewhere and brought to me at the table. The wine should always be served in front of you, and asked first if you want to try it to see if it’s good - Salmon tartare had no flavour at all. Also tartar should always come with bread or toast on the side, this one didn’t so I had to pay extra almost 10 euros for a focaccia - Tartufiko was also one of the most bland, unseasoned pastas I ever tasted

It’s decent food but it’s not transcendent. Lots of ‘bells and whistles’ in the sense that the tastes are made intense, but lack in subtlety and refinement. They play relatively loud lounge music, if that’s your vibe. Service was great.

Wow, just wow🤩. The food was amazing. Here's a little example: I ordered the Bruschetta. I thought it would be the usual thing, like always. Nope! It was made with zucchini (see picture on the left) and tasted fantastic 🫡♥️ Chapeau to the chef. The pizza was also a dream, and the wine list was gigantic! Non-alcoholic drinks were available too, of course, but nothing beats a good wine with the meal 🍷. The staff was very polite, courteous, and made you feel well taken care of. Quality has its price, and I'm more than willing to pay it here. The ambiance was kept dark, lots of black, sophisticated. The quiet music in the background increases the feel-good factor and having a conversation was easily possible despite the music and the fully occupied neighboring tables. P.S.: It's best to make a reservation a day in advance. That way, you won't be disappointed 😊.

Very good place to eat and tasty

Very good address in Amsterdam, we stumbled upon it by chance, they only had one place left at the bar, right in front of the kitchen. It was great to see behind the scenes. The starters and main courses were excellent. Special mention for the beef carpaccio (grated truffle supplement). We even went back for our last evening of vacation because it was so good!
