Quirky venu. Food was great but we got the wrong dishes. Tucked away a bit in an array of somewhat 1950s houses and flats. Dishes got a bit mixed up, I think we ended up with another tables food! We had pasta.. A glass of house wine.. And dessert. Decor around the restaurant is vintage film. The restaurant also has a rather nice house cat... Recommended. Everything is pricy in Amsterdam

We've been coming to this Italian living room for many years. We love the intimate atmosphere you experience at Cassalinga. This is authentic Italian food served with a hospitality you rarely encounter. We're also always surprised by the wonderful wines that complete such an Italian evening. We had a fantastic meal at Casalinga. Truly authentic Italian food with a luxurious touch. Beautiful ingredients and delicious flavors. The setting is cozy, a sort of living room in a corner near Stadionplein in Amsterdam. Highly recommended... :)

Very nice 'huiskamerrestaurant' with a good food and a great atmospher, a home away from home.

We had a wonderful meal at this small, intimate Italian restaurant. The daily menu offers limited choices, but you get the best quality. Dinner started with three different antipasti, followed by a pumpkin risotto, and then a delicious piece of sirloin steak. No salt or pepper was needed, as it was perfectly presented. Worth every penny in a wonderful atmosphere. We'd love to come back in the summer!

We had a fantastic experience! We had the most special table in the restaurant, right by the open kitchen with its highly skilled chefs. The staff is very friendly, and their passion radiates from their work. The food was amazing, and the wines were equally good. I definitely recommend it, and we'd love to come back!

Their menu (which changes weekly) offers a beautiful balance between Italian classics and interesting new touches. Amazing food and personal service, an experience for casual as well as intimate occasions

We came here with our department to say goodbye to our director. We had rented the restaurant for our group. From the welcome to the farewell, everything was perfectly arranged. We had a truly delicious meal and enjoyed some lovely wine. The service was superb. I highly recommend it; it's excellent value for money.

The food was delicious. One of us didn't get what he ordered. It turned out it was gone, but no one mentioned it. I found the service poor and quite rude.

From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and authentic Italian music made us feel like we were transported to a cozy trattoria in Rome. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choose the perfect wine pairing. The portions were generous, the prices very reasonable for the quality, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Impeccable service and summer vibes with good food. So many very good options in the area, but if you want something super cozy - this is the place.

May 23rd I had dinner here with my friend and had thé best time!! The food is amazing, the service, one of the best you’ll ever experience. It felt like you were invited at a friend’s home, enjoying good food and incredible hosting. My friend and I, had an amazing evening. I went home, thinking I should really leave a review, but didn’t get to do so. But it kept haunting so, here’s my review almost 2 months later and still dreaming of their delicious Tiramisu and lovely Tea tray. 🤍

On our way to Amsterdam, we made a reservation by phone without looking at the menu. We were initially shocked to see only a set menu with a few choices. But we were pleasantly surprised! Delicious, freshly prepared, authentic Italian dishes. The host has a unique way of teaching us that cappuccino after dinner isn't really Italian at all! He also recommended a delicious wine. We sat outside on the terrace, and despite being on the sidewalk in a residential area, the atmosphere was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Arrived spontaneously, received very welcome, despite the fact that we had not made a reservation. Excellent explanation of the (3 or 4 course) menu. We left everything to the staff, regarding food and wine. Delicious food, the dishes were of top quality, really recommended. No photos of the food taken, you have to experience it yourself! We have put this restaurant on our favorites list.

Visitamos este restaurante Sábado de Pascua, habíamos pasado un día en familia en Amsterdam, y nuestras madres habían crecido en la zona de este restaurante. Me pareció que el anfitrión era bastante grosero, le dije que no me gustaban los pimientos y solo me gustan los tomates en una salsa tipo Rahul no tomates crudos a lo que él respondió “bueno estás en un restaurante italiano” también grosero con mi hijo de 17 años señalando a su servilleta “¿sabes qué hacer con esto?”. La comida estaba bien, no wow! sobreprecio, creo que 50 € por persona, muy caro para una comida bien con 2 platos pequeños.

My partner and I had a lovely evening to celebrate our anniversairy. Really attentive host, relaxed, informal atmosphere (which we really liked). The food (4 courses and sparkling non alcoholic wine), especially tortellinis was excellent. We went on an unusually quiet night, but i imagine the atmosphere is even better when full.

You can eat well there in a nice atmosphere, but be careful. Text on the website is sometimes misleading. Certain packages give the impression that certain wines are included. This turns out not to be the case. It is a pity that they admit that it is indeed not clear, but then only accommodate you if you come to eat again. In short, we want to earn money from you again. In my opinion this does not suit this case.

Very welcoming owner and found us a place even though there were a lot of people. The plates were appetizing but we all had food poisoning, me and my 3 friends... the day before the marathon... we were very sick 🤢... we were a little nervous because months and months of preparation only to end up sick on the big day

Had dinner there with a large group. All courses were delicious, and I especially loved the tiramisu. The service was excellent as well. It my first time here but definitely not the last.

It’s hard to rate the restaurant! 2 hours later I would have said 5/5. We certainly ate very well, but 7 hours later, the horror arrived! Serious food poisoning. I had a hell of a night! But the worst was the next day... After months of intense preparation, illusions, efforts and concessions, my participation in the marathon went up in smoke! For 24 hours we were both extremely ill. I am extremely disappointed!

Delicious food, I immediately feel like going to Italy again. Delicious fresh products and the dessert was sublime! We will definitely come back.

Be pampered by the choices made by the service and kitchen staff. If you are a vegetarian, it is definitely recommended. Furthermore, a wide range of tasty wines.

In potentie een super restaurant, het eten was zeker lekker en een fijn terras. Echter het mist net dat beetje extra. Het voelt allemaal ietwat knullig, veel kleine dingetjes, waardoor de prijs niet in verhouding lijkt. Gastheer: "wij werken met een standaard 4-gangen menu". Duidelijk aangegeven dat dat wel veel was voor ons kleine eters en mijn tafelgenoot gaf tevens duidelijk aan geen vis te eten. Antipasti, aangekondigd als iets met aubergine, bleek met vis. Primi, heerlijke pasta met lams ragout. Toen nog het secundi wat echt te veel was. Bijna onaangeroerd retour naar de keuken, wat mij aan het hart gaat. Bij het afrekenen gaven we aan dat het echt te veel was, waarop meneer zei: "oh je had ook 3-gangen kunnen nemen". Helaas meneer, ietwat laat.

Fantastic experience! The food was out of this world, every course better than the last. It’s a fixed menu that varies daily, and you get a few options to choose from. The wine (and dessert wine!) were also superb. We sat outside on a warm day and the atmosphere reminded us of our holiday in Sicily. The restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner that makes you forget all about the city hustle and bustle. The service left nothing to be desired either! From beginning to end you can sit back, relax and have one amazing dish after another brought to your table, always with a smile. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Amsterdam!

It seems to be in Italy in Cucina Casalinga, excellent food, menu change weekly, it feels like being in a nice restaurant in Italy but in Amsterdam. I rarely can have the same feeling. The menu is great, with excellent wine selection with fear prices.

Haven't been for (too) long. Still a hidden gem in the south. Stood up among all the concept food restaurants with well-thought-out styling and interior design. Fortunately, they do not participate in this. Everything is honest and authentic. The food, the wines, the people who work there. And so for many years. I will remain a loyal visitor and hopefully more often than now.

We came in for dinner with 2 of us plus a dog and a baby in a stroller. The owners made us feel very welcome! Food was excellent, 4 course menu, I especially enjoyed the antipasti and lamb pasta. We will definitely come here again and will also bring our wider family.
