Last year, I discovered an amazing restaurant by chance. Back then, we were sitting there with a very different feeling, as it was actually 2 days before my high-risk surgery. Full of nerves, hooked up to an IV. Yet, we were able to enjoy ourselves. And now, over a year later. My birthday is coming up soon, and I am so grateful that I can celebrate this with Isa. So, we went back to that lovely little restaurant. What a treat it was! Delicious food and a great atmosphere + host. Last Saturday, we organized a private dining event here for 30 guests, and everything was arranged perfectly. We started with relaxed drinks outside, which immediately set the right atmosphere. Next, we enjoyed a delicious, high-quality dinner inside. The dishes were excellently prepared, authentically Italian, and beautifully presented. The service also deserves a big compliment: attentive, friendly, and well-attuned to the group. Additionally, the collaboration in the run-up to the event was very pleasant: flexible, proactive, and professional. At the end of the evening, we were also able to use the owner's karaoke set; the fun continued for a long time 😉 In short: highly recommended for anyone looking to host a high-quality event or private dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

Fantastic experience at Cucina Casalinga. Incredibly friendly, warm, and hospitable staff. The food was outstanding and exactly as Italian food should be: so simple that you don't really understand how those few ingredients can taste so good. Beautiful progression of the courses, delicious accompanying wines that are certainly not poured sparingly. All in all, a great experience and definitely worth repeating.

I'm Italian and Cucina Casalinga is one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at, not just in Amsterdam but in general. A well-deserved five stars. ​The interior is intimate and welcoming, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The dishes are exceptional, prepared with incredibly fresh, seasonal ingredients. The chef does the shopping weekly, and the menu changes every month based on the ingredients sourced, guaranteeing top-tier quality. The chef does an outstanding job, successfully bringing out traditional Italian flavors reinterpreted with a highly modern twist. ​The entire dining experience was extraordinary. A special mention goes to the potato and beetroot appetizer for its perfect balance of flavors, and to the fish main course, which was remarkably delicate yet full of character. The pasta and desserts also confirmed the incredible standard of this kitchen. ​To complete the experience, the service and hospitality were excellent. The staff is super courteous and highly knowledgeable in explaining the philosophy behind the menu. Highly recommended, a must-visit.

On Saturday, March 15, we had a delicious meal at this lovely restaurant, hidden in a corner. We sat at the “chef’s table” with a view of the kitchen. Authentic Italian dishes. Good wines. In short, definitely worth a repeat visit.

On Saturday, March 7th, we enjoyed the March menu. The appetizers and the ricotta ravioli were delicious. But I particularly enjoyed the lamb with herb yogurt and baked cavolo nero. The hospitality, with its explanations and wine recommendations, created a relaxed atmosphere. This was our third visit, and there will undoubtedly be more.

A true gem at the corner of Stadionplein that brings true the flavours of Italy on the table. The menu changes periodically (monthly or every two months) with a focus on seasonal produce. Their 3 course/ 4 course chef's menu takes you through a journey of tastes giving you the feeling that Italians experience at the grandparents on Sundays. Starting with nicely prepared antipasto which everyone takes a pick from the shared plates, followed by three items of pasta which you can choose between meat based, fish based, and vegetarian dishes, and after they have the same structure for the second course. Very little items on the menu but the quality of the food is extraordinarily good! They offer homemade tiramisu after that concludes the journey beautifully. I recommend to do a full menu with wine pairing!!! They bring you a glass of wine with each dish that matches the taste, and if you have wine preferences they have a wide range of options you can ask for. Highly recommended to book a few days prior to your visit to secure a table as they hold private dinings, birthday parties, business parties, and special events like Valentines' day dinner, Calabrian Brunch, and Easter bruch each with different themes, special menus. The best Italian restaurant in Amsterdam!

We had a 4-course meal here on Friday, February 13th. We shared a starter, which wasn't particularly special, just plain. Gnocchi with turnip greens was okay, and linguine with scorpionfish—you had to search for the fish, unfortunately—but the taste was fine. Lacquered yellowtail mackerel with citrus was okay. We had a sirloin steak instead of suckling pig. It was less than 100g, but good meat. Dessert was tiramisu. We were looking for a new Italian restaurant because our regular spot in Amstelveen was getting too crowded. Unfortunately, we completely disagree with the reviews below. The price-quality ratio is non-existent. Very small portions for the money. We probably got a bit spoiled at our Italian restaurant in Amstelveen. It's a shame, because it's a very nice, cozy place.

This was a special 4-hand diner with two marvellous Italian cooks. We enjoyed it very much.

Quirky venu. Food was great but we got the wrong dishes. Tucked away a bit in an array of somewhat 1950s houses and flats. Dishes got a bit mixed up, I think we ended up with another tables food! We had pasta.. A glass of house wine.. And dessert. Decor around the restaurant is vintage film. The restaurant also has a rather nice house cat... Recommended. Everything is pricy in Amsterdam

This is authentic Italian food served with a hospitality you rarely encounter. We're also always surprised by the wonderful wines that complete such an Italian evening. Chef Lorenzo yet again surprised us with delicious dishes in which simple (high quality) ingredients combined gave new flavours. We had a wonderful meal at this small, intimate Italian restaurant. The daily menu offers limited choices, but you get the best quality. Dinner started with three different antipasti, followed by a pumpkin risotto, and then a delicious piece of sirloin steak. No salt or pepper was needed, as it was perfectly presented. Worth every penny in a wonderful atmosphere. We'd love to come back in the summer!

We came here with our department to say goodbye to our director. We had rented the restaurant for our group. From the welcome to the farewell, everything was perfectly arranged. We had a truly delicious meal and enjoyed some lovely wine. The service was superb. I highly recommend it; it's excellent value for money.

May 23rd I had dinner here with my friend and had thé best time!! The food is amazing, the service, one of the best you’ll ever experience. It felt like you were invited at a friend’s home, enjoying good food and incredible hosting. My friend and I, had an amazing evening. I went home, thinking I should really leave a review, but didn’t get to do so. But it kept haunting so, here’s my review almost 2 months later and still dreaming of their delicious Tiramisu and lovely Tea tray. 🤍
