I was shocked by this visit. I was going there for lunch with a friend. It started with the door opening: grimy, dirty, and with a dog leash hanging from the handle. The hallway: peeling wall paint—well, I see that often. What made me recoil was the unpleasant smell, but I continued on, everything empty, nobody there yet. Turns out I was too early, and my story followed immediately (unpleasant). I'd seen it open at 10 a.m., but it only opened at 11 a.m. I was supposed to pick a spot, but I didn't; I was directed to the "round" benches. It didn't feel comfortable. All in all, I wanted to leave and not even start eating. Too bad.

A really nice restaurant in our neighborhood. Highly recommended. The food was delicious, and the rosé was also very good. The service was very friendly. Grab your camera when the smoke comes. Fantastic! We'll be back soon.

What a beautiful restaurant! It has a lovely atmosphere, is clean and tidy and the staff is friendly. And the food was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be making another reservation soon. It gets a 10 from me.

We had a birthday party at this location. Good communication beforehand, clear arrangements, and excellent service. The location is beautiful, not too big and in a rural setting. We also had dinner a few weeks later. Again, great service, a good menu, delicious food, and beautifully presented.

The starter was good, I had a delicious tenderloin, grilled just the way I wanted it, the service was good, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was great, definitely worth it and I will go there more often💯

I often walk around the Baleibos area, hoping to grab a cappuccino and/or lunch at Sfera afterward. Unfortunately, Sfera often closes unexpectedly, and its opening hours are unclear.

Sfera is an international restaurant in the Rokkeveen neighborhood near the Balijbos. Don't let its remote location deter you. It's a charming restaurant with fantastic dishes. I've been a few times now and continue to rave about it.

Just like last time, it was wonderful again! Highly recommended, not in the city center, but near the Balijbos. Plenty of parking available.

We received excellent service from Marianne. Excellent service! Great communication, fast service, and delicious food.

We had a wonderful meal at Sfera tonight. We sat outside on the terrace. It wasn't busy. The service arrived almost immediately and was very friendly. Because we saw so many delicious things on the menu, she recommended the appetizer for two. A tiered stand with many small dishes and the scallop gratin. It was highly recommended. Everything was equally delicious and attractively presented. Afterwards, we shared the chicken cashew stir-fry. In a word, delicious. A well-presented dish. For dessert, we had the Japanese ice cream mochi. It was our first time: ice cream coated in sticky rice. Very unique and delicious. We had a wonderful meal in a friendly atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

Friendly staff, top service and delicious food

Last week we had a lovely time on the terrace! It was a warm day but the service came quickly with beautifully decorated cocktails. The food was very tasty, especially the sushi and the gratinated scallop is highly recommended! The service also came a few times to ask if everything was to your liking. Parking is free in front of the door. I will definitely come back here more often :)

Today for the second time we went to eat, delicious! Staff is also friendly. Nice, quiet location.

The staff clearly didn't feel like it. We had to wait an hour before someone came to ask what we wanted to drink. Half of the drinks on the menu were gone, and the staff didn't even know it. Halfway through the evening, someone dropped a plate, and when we left, the broken plate was still on the floor. Meanwhile, the staff was on their phones inside and no one came outside. Fortunately, the food was good. The funniest moment of the evening? When Domino's came by to deliver pizzas. All in all, we laughed out loud at this complete shitshow.

Today we unexpectedly had lunch at Sfera. The service was very friendly and hospitable, the location is quiet (situated at the Balijbos) and the restaurant itself has a luxurious but cozy ambiance. We had a delicious lunch here, a goat cheese sandwich from the oven and my husband a wok dish with shrimp, vegetables etc. with rice, so neatly prepared and served 😊 In addition, a delicious red wine and a luxurious cold beer, in short, highly recommended, and definitely worth repeating. We will definitely come back here again, but then for dinner 😘

We didn't get the menus until a good 20/25 minutes later. Then it took another hour before we got our food. They came up with the fact that they had a lot of sick calls, looking at the reviews I notice that this happens more often. In addition, we waited more than half an hour for the menus for dessert. Finally, there are dead plants on the tables that are not clean.

The food was truly excellent and tasted superb. We also really enjoyed the ambiance, which created a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was a bit overwhelmed, and the wait times were correspondingly long. Nevertheless, we can recommend the restaurant for its excellent cuisine. However, you should allow yourself some time.

Too bad, the place is beautiful inside, the food was good. But then you see that the staff is just as important as the quality of the food for the experience. When we entered we were told that they would be there to take the order. This eventually took 40 minutes. 20 minutes later we had the first drinks. Then it took 55 minutes for the food to arrive. In the meantime, the staff was constantly on their phones and there was little to no attention for the guests present. In between, the waitress dropped a plate, which of course can happen. However, the plate was still there after an hour next to the table and had not yet been removed when we left. Hopefully we can learn from this so that future guests will have a pleasant experience at this restaurant.

Takes a very long time before you can even order something. While the place is almost empty. Ordered 2 drinks and literally had to wait 15 minutes.. in the meantime you see the staff doing other things.

The only thing I missed was the vegetables.

Restaurant in the Rokkeveen district against the Balijbos. Beautiful atmospheric restaurant with a cozy terrace. The menu is diverse and also has many Thai dishes (lunch). Ordered two Thai dishes. The food was surprisingly tasty and certainly enjoyed it. Had a great meal here. Staff also very nice and helpful. Nice place to have lunch!

We had to ask for drinks and also to pay. The staff knew everything about the menu and they also came up with a proposal to serve it differently. We had hoped for a little more service. Atmosphere is great! What a beautiful place!

A very surprising place. The food was fantastic! Flavourful, cooked to perfection, elegantly presented, and with lots of flare. Great for date night! They purposefully extended the experience, so if you are in a rush or want your food served faster, just tell them.

I've read a lot of good reviews a while ago, so this restaurant was on my list for a while. Today was the day and so I was full of anticipation. Friendly welcome. Good music in the background. Nice atmosphere upon arrival. Zoetermeers Geusz beer on the menu (tasty, slightly sweet) Starters: Something from the chef: 2x satay, 2x chicken pieces, 2x spring rolls. The satay is very good, with pieces of peanut in the sauce. The chicken pieces are ok, the spring rolls have little in them, only taste because of the chili sauce, slightly cloying on the inside. The scallops were ok according to my wife, with the comment that they almost certainly came from the freezer. She asked in advance how many were in a shell, 3-4, depending on the size, she was told. We only counted 2. Main course: Chicken Cashew and shrimps in sweet/sour sauce. The chicken/cashew was overly salty due to a splash of soy sauce. Also burnt here and there (they call that 'crispy'.) My wife also tasted a piece, didn't like it either. Pointed out the bowl that was only half empty. I was immediately told that this would be taken off the bill. Fine, that's also the reason I give 3 stars. They were surprised, apparently it's a special, I was told. I was also offered another dish, but half full is also full, so I declined, especially since my wife had already finished eating. The shrimps then: Asked for extra spice. The chef did that. Wife had finished everything in no time and thought that was fine. But leave the desert. The coffee at home is also good

Yesterday on Christmas Day, the whole family (20 of us) went to Sfera for dinner. To begin with, it came across as if there were serious staff shortages. The service was downright bad. Staff were inexperienced and often forgot to serve every table, etc. In addition, we are DEFINITELY not happy with the food. You set up a buffet where everything was always gone or cold. The sushi was also inedible which was also surprising. Normally we eat at home with the family on Christmas, but this was a really bad experience going to you. A number of us had previously eaten in the restaurant, which we actually liked. But now at Christmas this was not visible from all sides. We also think it is incredibly scandalous that you asked each of us €60 per person. Seriously, from the starter to the main course to dessert it was really impossible. But what we think is the saddest thing is that the food was not tasty. You can expect that for €60 per person excluding drinks. We gave up and continued eating at home. We'll never come again.

Very good food in a lovely atmosphere. It's a shame that the controls are a bit slow. Little interaction, things are forgotten and the follow-up could be better. Nevertheless, it is a recommended restaurant.

What a wonderful experience I had at Sféra! From the moment I walked in, I immediately felt welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a beautiful interior that feels modern yet cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, with great attention to detail. Our host was extremely attentive and provided great recommendations for the dishes. The service was quick without feeling rushed, which made for a relaxing evening. And then the food – what a taste sensation! Each dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were exquisite. The ingredients were clearly fresh and of high quality, and the chef managed to create a true culinary experience. The combinations of flavors were creative and surprising, without ever feeling overdone. The main course in particular was a highlight, but the dessert was also finger-licking good. If you are looking for a place where everything is perfect, from service to atmosphere and dishes, then Sféra is highly recommended. I can't wait to come back!

A hidden gem, which you reach via a residential area in Zoetermeer. The characteristic, homely interior with soft materials, mirrors and a purple glow has something dreamy and gives the impression that the menu may sometimes deviate from the standard list of dishes that you see everywhere. Well, that certainly appears to be the case! You want to go on a journey of discovery and are almost faced with choice stress. You would actually want a tasting to experience everything, but then you just have to return here. The surprising dishes have an exotic touch and are prepared with love, which radiates. Add to this the friendly and attentive service as well as the excellent price-quality ratio and you will definitely remember this special occasion in Zoetermeer for later.

Overall dinner experience- NOT Worth to go ! It took 30 min to get our drinks( bottle not even cocktails). 1.5 h later we had our starters, which is waaay to long. And finally two hours later we had our main. People are nice but very slow service. Food is very average, nothing special. Will never go back, so many good restaurants to experiance- Sfera is not one of them.

I've been there twice now and had a delicious meal both times! Both the sushi and the wok dishes are very tasty and beautifully presented. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very friendly service and easy (and free) parking in front of the door.

Top restaurant, I've been here twice. The first time something went wrong with the controls. The owner immediately resolved this for us and invited us at her expense.

Dogs are not welcome, while dogs are very welcome in the prison! So don't eat there and don't stay there. Hope it will change hands soon...

What an experience! From the moment you enter the restaurant you feel the atmosphere. It is beautifully decorated, beautiful round sofas that are fantastic to sit in, the appropriate music plays in the background and is not overpowering. It's just been thought about. And then the food 😱.... divine! Every detail is just right. Furthermore, the service is very relaxed and not pushy at all when asking for drinks (which is seriously a relief). The service also knows the menu by heart and they know what the dessert menu is.

What a gem in our hometown Zoetermeer. We kept riding past it on our bikes from the Balijbos and thought: yet another restaurant here. Unjustified - really delicious and super fresh dishes and drinks. Great sushi that they can make completely to measure. We thought it was value for money. Sweet service. The restaurant is generally beautifully decorated and the dishes are tasty. The prices, on the other hand, are super expensive for the portions and service you get. Wok chicken cashew nuts: unfortunately the cashew nuts were served burnt throughout the dish, little sauce and the chicken was very hard/chewy. Too bad it is served this way. You also only get 1 bowl of rice that you have to divide between 2 people, but you pay for 2 separate dishes. Service was friendly, but you really have to stand up or wave to order more drinks. Drinking glasses were quite tarnished for an upscale restaurant.

We received a very friendly welcome upon entering and the restaurant is very beautiful on the inside! We sat at a cozy round table with a nice sofa around it. We ordered several dishes including sushi. We regularly eat sushi, but the sushi here was very tasty and fresh! The other dishes were also very tasty and the service was good too! The colors of the furnishings are very dark: golden walls with purple lamps. Furthermore, very cozy tables and corners were created. We came for a lunch. A small setback: an egg roll only consists of bread and eggs. No ham or cheese, unless you order it separately for €1.50 each. Great that they now allow dogs on the terrace!
