The food was tasty! Only we ordered a mocktail and they gave a cocktail. That's not very good for a 13 year old child. I also asked if they could do something for it, but they said, "It's just a little." I have a bad stomach ache now. I hope it doesn't happen to the next customers. BEWARE, if you order a mocktail and you see a slice of orange in your drink, that means it it's a cocktail.

Kom hier al jaren, afgelopen keer was het echt slecht. 40 minuten wachten op sushi nadat de warme gerechten wel binnen 5-10 minuten op tafel stonden. Dit was elke ronde zo dus we bestelden maar alvast van te voren. Uiteindelijk meerdere dingen gewoon niet ontvangen. Sushi viel enorm uit elkaar, en extreem kleine stukjes. Of 1 reusachtig stukje en 1 mini stukje van dezelfde rol. Kreeg ook het verkeerde drinken. Omdat het zo lang duurde hebben we niet alles kunnen bestellen wat we wilden en zijn we met nog lichte trek naar huis gegaan omdat onze tijd op was 😵‍💫 Echt heel jammer want dit was altijd mijn favoriete all you can eat. Echt teleurgesteld.

Terrible tent! Your food has not even been on the table for 2 minutes before it is taken away. You LITERALLY just have your food in your mouth for 2 seconds and your plate is already taken away! You have to hold your plate if you want to eat quietly. They even take your glass. If you want to eat quietly, don't come here! Terrible tent and dirty nasty staff

Absolutely the best all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant in Rotterdam, fast service, extremely delicious food, huge selection of food, simply a must-visit if you go to Rotterdam. I recommend fried Banana, their Sushi selection, and ofc the Japanese beef burger.

Hade inte kollat upp det här innan utan droppade in på chans sen eftermiddag. Inga problem att få bord och väldigt många servitörer som hade koll. Stället har buffé så man äter så mycket man vill i två timmar. Jag var inte vrålhungrig men provade flera olika rätter. De kommer in styckevis i olika sittningar Toppenbra kvalitet, märktes att de här vet vad de gör! Loved it!

Poor service and no responsibility for damage During my visit to Shabu Shabu, an employee spilled red sauce on my white shoes. An accident can happen, but what is really disappointing is the way the restaurant handled it. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a solution, my complaint was dismissed as if it were my problem. This shows a lack of customer service and professionalism. I expected at least a serious response and reasonable compensation. I will never come back here again!

Tijdens ons recente bezoek op vrijdag 27 dec heeft het team ons een werkelijk memorabele avond bezorgd. Bij aankomst werden wij hartelijk ontvangen en bleek dat ons speciale verzoek om een plekje bij het raam perfect was geregeld. Dit getuigt van oog voor detail en een echte toewijding aan gastvrijheid. Het hele team straalde enthousiasme en werkplezier uit, en ieder werkte met een indrukwekkende energie en vrolijkheid. Le-chone verdient een bijzondere vermelding. Ondanks dat hij pas enkele maanden bij u in dienst is, straalde hij een professionaliteit en vakmanschap uit die direct opviel. Hij combineert een natuurlijke vriendelijkheid met een scherp inzicht in de wensen van de gasten. Zijn oplettendheid, positieve uitstraling en charisma hebben onze avond naar een hoger niveau getild. Shabu Blaak has long been a good example for other Sushi restaurants. That is now a faded glory. Food is of mediocre quality. The sushi has been sweating for hours, resulting in dirty sticky rice. The service is downright bad. The food flickers on the table and a question is answered with a snarl. And then we haven't even mentioned the absurd prices, shrinkflation everywhere, high prices and smaller portions. This was our last time dining at Shabu Shabu. And we are not the only one, where it used to be overflowing with customers, it is now a poor asset with the occupancy. Good luck with the upcoming bankruptcy.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to. We were told on the phone that if we came we could only stay 1.5 hours because of the next shift. Fine, because we had to leave again after 1.5 hours because of a performance. After almost an hour we were told to order the last dish because there was "half an hour of cleaning time". Biggest nonsense of course for cleaning a table and we were also told 1.5 hours. When I pointed this out, the female employee arrogantly walked away and let her colleague solve the problem, who tried to make something of it. Besides this incident, the food was okay, but too expensive for what you get. In addition, your plate was continuously taken away before you had even finished your mouth. This gave me a very rushed feeling. Painful to have to pay 80 euros here. For 2 people. For 1 hour. This was definitely the first and last time. You better go to Sumo!

Gisteren voor de Champions League wedstrijd van Feyenoord gegeten bij dit uitgekkede “all you cal eat concept”. We hadden gereserveerd voor “diner”, ahum☹️ De kaart is verschrikkelijk versoberd. Zelfs een maki-rolletje met een vleugje tuna is wegbezuinigd. De geweldige tuna handroll is vervangen door een ebi en zalm, maar ook heuze (nep) surimi handrol. Zie bijgaande foto voor deze handrollen. Bij navraag kreeg het personeel hier meer klachten over, maar men raadde ons aan om twee verschillende gerechten te bestellen en ze vervolgens zelf te combineren tot iets lekkers. De tafel naast ons had dit advies ter harte genomen want die lag bomvol met “restjes”. De drankjes overigens, in ons geval bier kwam dood en zonder schuim binnen. Voor de grote eters onder ons nog een laatste waarschuwing : je kunt slechts 1x per 12 minuten bestellen (indien de wifi verbinding werkt tenminste), daarna wordt de bestelling met een minuut vertraging verzonden, en let wel : max 4 gerechtjes pp😂

I can't complain about most of the food (because it is tasty) but the service here is extremely rude, to the point that you want to leave. I haven't experienced such rude service in a long time, especially upon arrival. It's a shame because this chain was once a favorite, but just because of how you are treated here I would almost discourage people from coming.

Het eten was oké en niet super. De service is bar slecht. Bij aankomst word je raar aangekeken en er wordt niks gezegd. Het bord waar je van eet wordt onder je neus weggehaald terwijl je er nog van eet zonder enige communicatie. Het glas waar je van drinkt wordt opzij gezet met vieze vingers aan de rand waarvan je drinkt. Sommige personeelsleden zijn wel klantvriendelijk en gastvrij, maar dit is ook maar de helft van het personeel. De helft van het personeel kent geen manieren en is zeker niet gastvrij. De helft van het personeel kan beter in het magazijn gaan werken.

I was here for lunch yesterday with a friend from the states. Restaurant was empy so we sat with two at a table for four. Many tables available. The told us to seat at a small table for two. We asked again and offered to move when suddenly lots of groups would arrive so we sat down at a table for four. Then they refused to take our order so we decided to leave this place. I felt embarrassed for my friend; what a lack of hospitality!!! Incredible. For me never again to this place.

Nice thing. Normally they are always friendly here, but now I found the staff quite customer unfriendly. I could not make a reservation under 'pregnant', so I indicated upon arrival that I was pregnant. The lady was not very friendly and loudly threw a pen and paper on the table, like, write down your order here. The intention was that the meat would be well done, but the first chicken skewer was not well done. Later I ordered fried chicken pieces, half of which were also not well done. Because of this I left the chicken behind. When the young man came to get plates, he said with an attitude that we left a lot of food in all the rounds and if we did this one more time, he would put it on the bill. I think this is quite an accusation. We only left some raw chicken pieces behind! We don't like wasting food, but prepare it for your guests!

Het eten was echt slecht. We zijn na 2 rondes ermee opgehouden. Probeerden verschillende dingen, niet goed. Sushi leek niet vers, ruikt funky,inktvis ringen taai als plastic. Echt schandalig dat je er als restaurant nog geld voor durft te vragen. We hebben een klacht ingediend en kregen 10% korting op de rekening als tegemoetkoming. Nooit meer.

Actually had a pretty good meal here. Food is delivered very quickly. I believe I had to wait a maximum of 3 minutes. This means that they have it ready and it is not prepared to order. I have no idea how this works in other sushi restaurants, but you certainly have to wait longer there. Food is good. Plates are removed while you are still eating. You have to be able to handle it.

I ordered a cocktail, I got it but…. This man shouted from 4 meters away asking if I was 18 because his colleague doubted me??? I shouted “yes that's me” so he stood next to me, I gave my ID and he was looking at him with a flashlight?? his boss will have to. Shabu Shabu, and especially the restaurant in Rotterdam, has long been one of my favorite sushi restaurants. Until last Thursday. This restaurant lacks love and passion. The sushis are not bad, but small and the taste is not what it used to be. The controls do their thing, but no more than that. Prices are high, and that is not a problem, as long as love and a little passion are served. The dishes are ready in no time, it seems as if everything is ready. A beer is expensive, at least I think EUR 5.30 for a bottle of Hertog Jan is quite expensive. I expect a good draft beer for that. There are indeed robots for washing dishes, but they stood in the room all evening with the dirty dishes just on top. No more ShabuShabu Rotterdam Center for me.

We had a delicious meal at Shabu Shabu today. The food was served quickly and the employees were very friendly. The food was also fresh and tasty. At the end we could also enjoy the delicious dessert without any restrictions. All in all, we recommend this all you can eat restaurant! ⭐️

Ons was geen rustig etentje gegund. Telkens kwam een dame langs en vroeg iedere keer of we al klaar waren met eten. We waren nog geen uur binnen. Ontevreden ons tijd vol gemaakt. Zelfs gen excuus toen we ons beklag deden. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar dus.

Het eten was okay en stond zeer snel op tafel na bestelling via de app. Maar ik zou niet te laat reserveren, want ze willen zeer scherp de tent leeg hebben. Rond 21.45u kwam de ober in een tijdsbestek van ongeveer een kwartier tot 4x toe vragen of we de rekening al wilden hebben... Dit terwijl wij nog aan het eten waren en het dessert, etc. nog moesten halen. Het verpeste voor ons de goede sfeer en dat terwijl ze tot 22.30u open zouden zijn (dus we hadden nog ruim de tijd).

The food itself is fine, only the man who brought the drinks asked at 9:55 PM if we wanted to pay (while we were still eating dessert). After dessert we ordered something to drink at 10:05 PM and again he asked us if we wanted to pay. After bringing the drinks, the best man asked the same question again. The reason was so that they can then start tidying up and cleaning. Now I'm used to it, but I've never been treated in such a rude way! The restaurant is open until 10:30 PM and the customer is king, right? We will never come there again.

Had a great meal at Shabu Shabu. The orders were served quickly. The sushi is very tasty. Chicken skewers were served cold, but tasted good. Dessert buffet mediocre. Assortment of cakes all very dry and hard. What struck me was that a robot is used in the restaurant. The dishes are placed on this, he drives himself to the kitchen and back after being emptied. Innovative!

“NEVER EAT SO DIRTY” Went for dinner today and it was so disgusting! A super unfriendly host, he threw the food away, she didn't ask if it tasted good and made us feel more than unwelcome. The rest of the staff was also unfriendly and couldn't smile. The food was raw, the meat had a lot of fat on it, everything tasted like frying fat, was not cooked properly and the sushi rice was super hard and not good. Never before had I eaten something so disgusting in a restaurant, there was not a single dish that was properly prepared and it looked like the sushi was already 2 days old. Even supermarket sushi is better. We had stomach problems while eating. And here you pay 37 euros for exclusive drinks! I know many better restaurants where you can eat delicious sushi and for much cheaper! We will never go here again!

Casi 40€ por una carta muy poco variada. Nosotros fuimos a comer sushi y no tenían mucha variación que entrara en el menú, todo lo que tenía mejor pinta llevaba coste adicional. Lo que sí estaba bien eran las diferentes carnes que tenían. El servicio poco agradable pero la persona que te da la bienvenida fue muy amable. En resumen, para comer sushi no, resto ok

My experience was overall negative. The mandatory app is awful. It forced me to spend the whole dinner looking at my phone instead of enjoying my meal, and I spent quite some minutes without eating nor having the possibility to order, just waiting for time to pass. Since you can only order 4 dishes every 10 mins, the system drives you to prioritize "large dishes" (such as noodles). I wanted the sushi but one dish is literally ONE nigiri. So you can technically order 4 nigiri dishes, but you will get only 4 nigiri and you will need to wait 10 mins to order more food. In addition, the quality of the fish was extremely low, so I just gave up the sushi for cooked dishes. I heard other clients in the restaurant complaining about the taste of the fish. Water costs like 6-7€ so at the end the minimum is 45€ per for a dinner, which is way too much imho to eat a few low-quality nigiri and a lot of vegetables/noodles. Some plates (e.g. sashimi) are charged extra, as well as sweets and all the drinks. On the other side, pleasant ambient and kind waiters.

The worst restaurant I have ever eaten at in Rotterdam. The service was robotic, the waitresses were unfriendly, we were forced to order drinks not included in the price of the formulas. It was very noisy and the sushi was bland with little choice...plus it was quite expensive (€83 for two). I advise against.

Al in verschillende Sumo restaurants geweest en eigenlijk altijd lekkere sushi gegeten. Ook deze Sumo in hartje Rotterdam is daar geen uitzondering op. Qua interieur is deze wel de gezelligste Sumo en wat minder kil als de andere vestigingen waar ik geweest ben. Maar dat is uiteraard een kwestie van smaak.
