I have ordered from here a few times. This time something from the Chicken box sushi gave me food poisoning. I will not be ordering from here again knowing their food safety is not up to standard.

The food is fine, the rolls are good, and the bowls are a good deal. My biggest complaint is that they're constantly running a deal for 1+1, but I almost never get the +1. I'm not mad about failing to get something for free, but I am annoyed that I get home and don't have enough food because I'm now basically down 2 entire rolls that I had planned on being there, and I have to ration rolls to the family instead of everyone getting what they asked for. It's happened 3 or 4 times over the past few months, and it's really annoying to be slightly hungry and disappointed instead of getting what you asked for.

We've been ordering from them for years, and it's always been good. Now the poke bowl is full of rice with a layer of filling on top. The rice is really cheap, and that's how they fill your poke bowl now! Such a shame. I'll have to look elsewhere. I'm sitting here eating a poke bowl of rice with salad right now. It's bizarre and such a shame! It's always been so good.

Sushi is “ok average”, but the service… well… Today my order arrived very late due to the bad luck of the “delivery person”, who dropped the bag with food basically at the front of my building… I got a call from the restaurant (but it is not a real, nice restaurant - just a point where they prepare the meals) informing me that the food has to be prepared again, so the waiting time will be twice as long… I asked about compensation for the delay but the lady I spoke to said that preparing an undamaged meal was the best she could do… I had no idea that under these circumstances presenting an undamaged meal is “the best” shabu had to offer😱 Finally, the food arrived and we received.… a small cookie as compensation… the quality of that gift is only to be compared to the service I experienced there today… 0..

Nice meal! After a short call with a friendly employee, they immediately answered my question about the delivery time and they delivered well on time. The food was delicious, the steak tips and the Ede mama are highly recommended! The only downside was that the chicken had been in the fryer for just too long. Good job everyone there!

Best sushi in the area (Utrecht) especially recommended!

The sushi is good. We ordered also sesame balls, do they fry in the same oil with fish? It smelled fishy and when it was cold, impossible to eat. They charged extra for the plastic packaging. I am all for NOT using plastics, but why are you punishing the clients for it? Did we ask you to use plastics? If you really want to be environmental friendly, just use natural products then I am happy to pay for it. This is not like supermarkets charging for plastic bags, we have a choice to bring our bag but with Shabu we dont! Its not about the money, its about the cheekiness of the Shabu abusing people for more profit. Go for natural products for packaging! Dont charge people for your poor choice.

Friendly ladies at the cash register. Helpful and kindly thought along with the menu for our kids. Kitchen looks hygienic. Hardworking staff. Quick and good help. Taste delicious! You'll see us come back :)

Delicious food, especially the sushi with flambéed salmon. Pokebowl was a large portion. We had the salmon & ebi box and the veggie box. The wasabi has a good taste. Everything nicely packaged. Delivered quickly.

Sushi is smaller than the standard. Makis inimini, for children? Sushi was also not fresh! Certainly not the Makis, they are dry and old.

On October 31, 2023 I ordered two sushi rolls around 8:45 PM. It took a long time for my sushi to be delivered. Once delivered, I opened the bag and saw that only 1 sushi roll was delivered. The sushi roll I received was also ice cold! I immediately called Shabu Leidsche Rijn and got an employee (lady) on the line. I told my story that I missed 1 sushi roll. She went to inquire and came back to me. She indicated that the people in the kitchen also put the second sushi roll in the bag. I indicated that I only really see 1 sushi roll in the bag. She started the discussion with me and stuck to her word that two sushi rolls were really put in the bag. I became frustrated and indicated that I would not lie about this. Her response was: Yet many people lie about it. So I'm a liar? What customer service! I would never lie about this and even take the time and effort to call. Ultimately, after much discussion, the second sushi roll was delivered to my home, but I was not able to enjoy it at all. Highly pregnant, receiving cold sushi and also being called a liar. Next time I'm going to think 10 times before I order something from you. I have never experienced this in my life. Very bad!!

What I think is a shame is that they no longer deliver food to your home and the service was always excellent

Delivery is fast the rice bowls are tasty (they also deliver the wakame salad, beans, tamago separately now) so that's nice. but the sushi rolls always look good and taste delicious.

No idea what happened to this restaurant. Have been ordering and eating delicious food here on an almost monthly basis for years. The quality has deteriorated tremendously over the past 4-5 months. Our favorite rolls have disappeared from the menu and the price has increased (+20%). Today we gave it one last chance, but again extremely disappointing. We are looking for a new sushi restaurant.

Sticky sushi, it had no taste, wasn't filling and if that wasn't enough there was still a curly hair in my sushi. Well one thing is for sure, I don't have curly hair. Terrible. Disgusting.

The quality is not too bad, but the worst thing was that I asked if everything was not put in 1 box because of flavor transfer. What surprises me is the double salmon roll and the Salmon Ebi Roll Between the Crunchy Roll were the dried onions on the salmon rolls. There were also several nigiris in the same death. Dragon Roll.Unagi Roll And to top it off, the hot dishes were also in 1 box. Sweet Karaage.Fried Gyoza.Japanese Spring Roll and the Ebi Spring Roll. Everything was literally mixed up. Sushi tasted ok today, but it was falling apart. It was my 7th order of your sushi and it happened for the first time. Something happened with the quality of rolling today...

If you just make sure that your scooters drive quietly near the square... they will drive full throttle along the square! Because of this I will definitely not order from you.

A few days ago I ordered Endamame and Sushi for the first time from Shabu To Go. Unfortunately they forgot the soy sauce and Wasabi. Called immediately and got a friendly guy on the phone who apologized. Within 10 minutes the delivery person was back at the door with the soy and wasabi. As compensation there was a bowl of sweet/sour cucumbers. Great service! The Endamame was still nice and warm and the sushi was also very tasty. Next time we'll just order from here again and trust that they won't forget anything :-) -edit- 5/27/2022. From 4 to 5 stars. Ordered regularly, delivered quickly and delicious. Just good.

Explicitly ordered white rice, but received noodles. We reported this immediately via the Shabu to Go Leidsche Rijn website, but heard nothing more. bad..

The Tuna nigiri did not look fresh and tasted very fishy indeed 😬.

The spring rolls were cold and the sushi tasteless and dry. Disappointing.

Excellent price quality. First time ordering and picking up here. The sushi looked fresh and tasted great. The food was ready within 15 minutes even though it was quite busy. I forgot part of my order there, they delivered it very quickly, which is really great service. I will definitely order here more often.

The sushi here is okay in general, although personally we'd prefer a bit more sushi vinegar taste in the rice. Today we ordered a sushi combo and two portions of ramen. According to the picture on the website the ramen should have beansprouts, egg, carrot and cucumber mixed in it, however the ramen we received only had sesame seeds and a lot of spring onion (see picture). A bit disappointing and unusual so we contacted the place by phone. After explaining the situation we were promised a free portion of ramen for our next order as a solution. Hopefully the quality will be better next time.

Tasty sushi, but the crunchy chicken. Was anything but crunchy. Tough meat and poorly fried!

Shabu fails to do anything about the nuisance caused by their delivery drivers who use scooters to cross the cycle path where there are many children playing. Shame, will never order from there.

It was good at first. Now they are busy and quality is at the expense.

Never again, why? 1. The sushis are small compared to other restaurants, and expensive! 2. The guy taking the orders needs some lessons in customer service: my order was 10 min late when i came to pick it up, instead of apologizing, he told me in a rude manner that it's late, period. 3. The sushis don't taste that great, especially the ebi tempura made with normal breadcrumbs instead of panko. They look like they came from a frozen package you can get at the toko. The sushi with tuna is pathetic. 4. The boxes holding the sushis are too small, the sushis are smooshed against each other.

In a word: dirty! Never had such bad sushi before. I have strong doubts about the authenticity of the reviews. There are many anonymous reviews and many reviews written by the same person. It seems like the owner gives himself 5 stars over and over again. Do yourself a favor and don't order here.

Normally I order sushi on location, had it delivered today and that was also great! We always make some changes to the box we order and this is never made difficult. Always friendly and helpful. And we haven't even talked about how delicious the sushi is! Simply delicious 👌🏼

Delicious food, but delivery time unacceptably long. Ordered on a Friday. Delivery time was specified as 'as soon as'. The restaurant indicated that delivery would be made 1 hour after delivery. Ultimately this was only after 1.45 hours without any message from the restaurant owner about the delay. Although the food was really good, the delivery time is a reason not to order here. too much frustration.

Terrible! Ordered on Sunday Easter Monday for €85. The shrimp, shrimp croquettes and satay sticks were cold. Rest was tasteless and too many rice balls. Once but never again. As a nice touch we received 1 small piece of apple pie. Foreign.

Something stopped me from ordering here, such a standard chain restaurant. But I have ordered a few times now and have always been pleasantly surprised by the delicious sushi.

Atmosphere in the back leaves something to be desired, it's actually more takeaway than restaurant, but I can't complain about the food! Rice super flavored and meat wonderfully tender! Sushi also delicious!

Just got some Shusi on a regular rainy Sunday. This branch is very good and it was extremely delicious.

Wonderful for lunch. You can sit comfortably in the back. Apparently not very well known, because it was very quiet. Fast operation therefore. Ideal!

We love ordering crispy teriyaki chicken with rice from this place. It's so crispy but tender, just perfect! However it really concerns me how much packaging goes in every single order, we end up with so many plastic containers it really puts us off...Shabu could you consider using more environment friendly packaging?
