I love Tunisian and Lebanese cuisine. However the food was not that tasty in this restaurant. I didn’t try any of the shaksukha but we tried mezzes and hummus. There was a general issue with lack of taste. The service was good. We did a reservation and I recommend it as it was very crowded at some point. The ambiance is I think better when the weather is good as it has outside seating area, and the inside is not that spacious.

We had a really nice lunch with the whole family! The music on the terrace was a little loud, but that could be adjusted. We did the shared menu with all 14 of us and it was amazing, a lot of food and really tasty. Our server was great, we forgot to ask his name, but the young bald guy with the glasses was so nice and he arranged everything for us, also with all of my allergies. They have gluten-free bread and most of the options of the shared menu are vegan too. AMAZING!

Food was perfect! The staff was very kind and helpful! The atmosphere is also very nice except the fact that in the inside the restaurant is a bit noisy when is full.

I was going to rate service a bit lower but our servers were actually all fantastic. It was more the confusion of trying to figure out where we could or couldn't sit as well as not having anyone that was available to tell us where to go. We spoke to three different people before someone was able to give us a heads up on where we could sit. Otherwise, food was amazing, our servers were super sweet and attentive, it's a fun spot and very lively! I definitely recommend it but maybe reserve a table in advance to avoid confusion.

Oriental delights meet a cool atmosphere! Shak Shuk impressed us across the board. The decor is stylish, the lighting is atmospheric, and there's plenty of seating both inside and outside. The food was very good – the mixed appetizer platter was delicious and lovingly prepared. The drinks (mint tea and homemade lemonade) were also refreshing and beautifully presented. A special highlight was the DJ outside on the terrace – with chilled music and a great atmosphere, she perfectly captured the summer feeling. Just the right mix of relaxed food and urban flair. Service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were absolutely fair.

Poor food quality (shakshuka cooked dry). Plus eggshell in my food. Wouldn’t recommend.

Great food but going in and ordering for takeout but having to wait for over 30 minutes to receive my food is a bit insane.

Incredible authentic Middle Eastern food. Perfectly cooked and spiced. Flavour heaven. Such a lovely atmosphere and really kind staff.

Went to ShakShuk Zuidas with a big group and we sat outside. The food was absolutely delicious, really full of flavor. The vibe was great and it’s a nice spot for groups. Only downside was that the staff was a bit slow to check in on us for drinks and extra orders, so we had to flag them down a couple of times. Overall though, would still recommend for the food and atmosphere!

Too bad, the food is really great. But how do they manage to forget my bread 3 times in a row every time I order. After I emailed my frustration, the owner emailed me back and invited me to come and eat there for 2 people. They really made up for it. Can't say anything else than great!!!!!! Ordered ShakShuka yesterday. First of all, it arrived cold, just like the bread that still needed to be baked? Now I'm sick as hell from an expired product. Sorry, but this isn't for me

In the past I have picked up food for 75 euros once I got home. I see a measly piece of bread there. I then called and the lady in question apologized and indicated that I could pick it up, which was not possible for me, so she said you can get extra next time. I just ordered again and clearly stated that I was entitled to extra pita from last time. You guessed it, we didn't get anything extra to top it off, this time no bread at all. This is the last time I order from here!!!

Everything we are was absolutely amazing and full of flavor. The kebab shakshuka and lamb hummus are my favorite. The staff was nice and more attentive than most restaurants in the area. So delicious!

Realmente decepcionante. Visitó con un gran grupo de colegas, pre pedido / reservado. Esperó mucho tiempo a que saliera la comida, pero observó un flujo constante de repartidores / jinetes que sacaban comida. Decepcionante selección de comida con un guiso de carne que tenía muy poca carne. Como confiamos en el restaurante para proporcionarnos sabrosas selecciones solo se proporcionó una opción principal para 10 personas. Como kebabs y salchichas también estaba en el menú alguna variedad habría sido bueno. La comida caliente apenas estaba caliente y el plato de coliflor prácticamente frío. Muy decepcionante, ya que según las críticas se esperaba algo mejor.

After debating if we should bear the cold and find somewhere for dinner, I am so glad we did! This place is such a gem, with great food and buzzing atmosphere this Shakshuk has really set a high bar for delicious food! Sian was so lovely and friendly with great recommendations for a local beer and food. Sam was also great and gave us some good tips for our time here in Amsterdam. A little out of the city centre but with flavours like these so worth a visit! When we come back to Amsterdam we will be back for sure!

My absolute favourite spot for lunch. Never get sick of it. I want this as my last meal. All the shakshuks are great, the shakstew and shoarma options being reliable, the aubergine feta one is solid when I've had too much meat. Their sandwiches are delicious. Perhaps the most surprising are the V-cut fries which are just amazing.

Wonderfully tasty authentic food, sooo yummy, and at very reasonable prices. Fun to share too, so perfect for groups! Very friendly, warm and welcoming service as well. Recommended!

I had a very good time at ShakShuk. This part of the city has not a lot of options if you want to eat and this place is one of the best, especially if you want to have beer and snacks or like Lebanese food. The staff is very friendly, the location is good (great if the weather is good and you can stay outside) and the wait for the food is reasonable.

Comida con la que no estoy demasiado familiarizado pero me encantó. La mejor comida que tuvimos en el viaje de lejos. El personal era amable también, y el restaurante en sí era agradable. Sin duda volvería a comer allí de nuevo.

We had a delicious meal! And what a nice staff. Very helpful and friendly. Very nice friendly atmosphere. But apart from everything, the food was really, really tasty. Sauces good, fries good, house lemonade too! The brownie could have used a little more (fresh) tahini. It was on the hard side. Worth repeating.

Placed order via Uber, have ordered here often, the shakshuka is delicious! Today I added a lemonana to the order “freshly made lemonade with fresh mint” I received a bottle of regular lemonade from the package and the mint had probably been in the bottle for so long that it was black and honestly undrinkable

Edit: We gave another try and everything was great. The food tasted great, service was flawless (very hard to find in Amsterdam), atmosphere was super nice. We concluded that our previous experience was just one time bad luck. We will continue keeping ShakShuk in our favorite restaurants. —————— Original post: It started all good. We were happy that we in the end found a place to order both for our family diners and company lunches. Unfortunately, it didn’t last long. The last meal we got from them was not really as we were used to. We paid €16 for hummus with literally 4-5 small meat pieces, which was half fat. The fries had excessive salt. We hope it was just bad time and not a change in their standards.

Very good food, lovely staff, will be back

One of the best meals I've had in Amsterdam! The feta/eggplant/pomegranate shakshuka was divine, such a unique combination of flavors and unlike anything I've had before. Thank you for having great vegetarian options! Portions were quite generous for the price and the servers were friendly and helpful too. Strongly recommend!

The dishes are beautiful. I tried their shakshuka with kofta. It was amazing, and the labneh, zaatar, mutabal and muhammara dishes were all wonderful. Our account was 44 euros. Chef Ibrahim Al-Souri, frankly, is a wonderful person and has a warm reception and generous hospitality.

Food was really good, same as the price. It's also nice that the food is halal Although it was very busy during the diner which caused longer waiting times, we still enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great time. Would recommend this place, but be aware of the busyness!!

Hi I think you have to change your oil for frying sweet potato fries. The fries are almost black with smells of the old oil. And i ordered through Uber eats and think the the portion is not really worth for what u actually paid.

We had an excellent Italian dinner, superb choices, Carlo is a wonderful chef, we were pampered and had a wonderful meal. Highly recommended!

Best Shakshuka I've ever had!! + gluten-free

Een hele gezellige avond gehad bij Shakshuk. Heerlijk gegeten. We hebben 2 shakshuka's besteld. 1) de classic (vegetarisch) en 2) met vlees. Allebei heerlijk! De mezze's waren ook heerlijk! Het brood en de pita's fluffy en de wijn prima. Pure comfort food!!!

Great food i order Koufta Shakshouka and it its the best i have tasted. Noting that i have tasted Shakhsouka in it original country. Definitly recommend this placeZ

Maandelijks bestellen mijn partner en ik Shakshuk en deze stelt nooit teleur. De kip die we hierbij bestellen is zo ontzettend mals en lekker. Enige minpunt is dat het vrij prijzig is.

Go for Aubergine and Feta ShakShuk. Mezzes are average. eggplant salad is made of canned eggplant instead of fresh one unlike it used to be

This place is AMAZING! Decided to leave the nearby hotel and explore on my first night and so glad I did. The reviews were right. Have you tried a shakshuka before? It's a North African and Middle Eastern meal of poached eggs in a simmering tomato sauce. Totally new to me, which doesn't happen often, and seems really healthy too, which is a bonus. I had the spicy merguez with a warm roll and then the heavenly halloumi side. It's a young bar vibe but all ages are here, while the music is soft classic pop. There's a really nice ambience provided by the chatter of fellow diners, and the staff are really welcoming. The food came quickly, with a smile, and was presented and prepared beautifully. An all round hit, congratulations to the owners!

This place is amazing! Order regularly from here - and their food is fresh and delicious. Moreover, their service and delivery are super prompt. UberEats once messed up my order, and Alfonz came to deliver all the way to us from the restaurant. Never seem such onpoint customer service!! Highly recommend this place!!

We've ordered food from here a couple of times and it doesn't disappoint! We went yesterday to the physical place and the vibe for a Monday was very cool, plenty of young folks. It's a nice place for drinks afterwork. The terrace is really nice and so is sitting inside. The service was really good. We went with two kids and they were very accommodating and patient. We ordered the shakshuka special with meat and cauliflower and humus and the chicken. We ate so well! the food was super tasty and good quantity! It's also very affordable. 4 adults and 2 kids ate for 80 euros. Highly recommend!

Zeer positieve ervaring met ShakShuk! Uber Eats maakte een fout in de bestelling, zeer vriendelijk geholpen door Abel. Er miste een drankje en zakje friet maar zijn hiervoor ruimschoots gecompenseerd. Het eten was vers, lekker op smaak en zag er erg goed uit! Zeker een aanrader! Ik kom absoluut terug. Abel bedankt!

Met z’n drietjes buiten gegeten. Een aanrader voor shared dining. We hadden gekozen voor een Mezze platter en wat losse mezzes. De labneh was bij ons de grote favoriet.

This dinning experience was very pleasant. The food was accommodating to all ages and spice preferences. The falafel balls were very crispy and flavourful. The pita bread was soft and tasty balancing out the flavour. The lemonade was perfectly sweetened and tasted very natural. Staff was supper accommodating and kind.
