Amazing experience! We went for a dinner for two and had an absolute blast. I even told my boyfriend I could easily make it to round 5, by round 3 I was already praying for mercy. We left so full we could barely walk home. The food was delicious, though I did find the sushi slightly warmer than what I’m used to. I usually prefer it a touch colder, but I’ve since learned that authentic sushi is traditionally served closer to body temperature, so clearly, I still have things to learn! We’ll definitely be coming back. My only tip: avoid the tables right next to the bar. The owner tends to wash a rug in a bucket nearby, which isn’t the most appetizing sight during a meal.

Was there for the first time, we often go to these types of restaurants, but this one was really bad. The food was half cooked or overcooked. With every order we placed, something was missing and with the last order of two pieces I was waiting more than 25 minutes and I didn't get it either, so I was done with it and complained and paid and left and then you get the whole story about your whole story, yes, sorry, sorry, but I don't buy anything for that, end of the story, lost a lot of money and still went home hungry.

People who say that the staff here are friendly are very quickly satisfied and are not used to anything. The people who work here are anything but friendly. They forget everything, drinks you order never arrive at your table. This only happens after the 2nd reminder. You can also wait a long time for cutlery or napkins. It's also bizarre that there are new staff around every time, I've never seen the same waitresses twice. Although I have to say, if my staff were walking around in Adidas vests in a professional company, I would stop doing that too. But there are also positive sides of course, otherwise we wouldn't come here every month. The food is really delicious. And that goes above and beyond all of the above. Perhaps Shinsen can invest in iPads or the like so that guests can order food and drinks. You immediately get rid of the nagging that staff leave the sheets for too long or that orders are forgotten.

The prices are quite high. A la carte is therefore not attractive unless you want to pick up a quick sushi. But quite expensive for a family. Nice restaurant in terms of atmosphere and decoration. Free parking next door. There is no play corner or something like that for smaller children, so it is not suitable for children who want to run around.

Poor service, restaurant was half empty and took a very long time to get our food. We didn't get some dishes. Lady who came to return our form literally threw the form on the table and immediately walked away. When paying, the lady was the only one who asked for debit card or cash and was busy on her iPad, so we had to ask for a receipt ourselves. And this makes it really 1 star for us, focusing on contact with your guests at that moment

Delicious food, a bit chaotic. Only got everything in the first round, then mistakes started to creep in. Ultimately, there is more than enough, even for very big eaters. The only pity is that as the evening progresses, the very young service makes more and more mistakes and eventually there is no one left to serve. It is clear that you are supposed to leave around half past nine on Saturday. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and enough choice for everyone

Good concept, choice of many dishes for a fixed price. Very suitable for children. You can choose a maximum of 5 dishes per person per course and that too for 5 rounds. We usually don't make it past round 3 and choose about 3 dishes per person at a time. The dishes are freshly prepared and you can taste that. Free ample parking next door. We had a wonderful time with our family again tonight.

Nice and easily accessible restaurant. Sushi is less tasty than other All You Can Eat restaurants. Service is friendly but really needs training, soy sauce and wasabi brought later than the food. Then they brought the wasabi, but had to ask for the soy again. The last round we had to wait a very long time until the note was collected. In the end we took it to the bar ourselves with a handwritten napkin with which dessert we wanted.

You don't have to come here for the atmosphere. Unless you like stickers on the wall. But of course you don't go to an all-you-can-eat restaurant for the atmosphere. Of course you go for the food and it is absolutely delicious! It's always enough! The staff is friendly. The staff is a bit young and sometimes inexperienced, but that is to be expected in this day and age. The staff does not make any fuss about the maximum number of dishes you order. For us, it is the sushi restaurant that we keep coming back to.

We arrived at a quarter past 7 and ordered the first round. It just came after fifteen minutes. Then we ordered a second round and it never came. After waiting 40 minutes we asked the server where our food was. He took our tray with him again, but my friend had already marked some of his dishes for the third round, so we suddenly got 12 dishes in 10 minutes. Because of this we were full very quickly. At 9.15 pm the waiter came to ask if we wanted dessert, while I think you can eat for 2.5 hours. Fortunately we were able to get a discount. What bad service. The server herself was sweet and friendly, but the woman was very curt and unkind. She had friends who she gave more attention than her customers.

Delicious food and friendly service. However, I didn't really find the restaurant attractive. I think this is mainly because there is little decoration, but there are a lot of windows. Just like in a fishbowl :) Furthermore, the service is variable. Everything went smoothly at the beginning, but at one point we had to wait more than half an hour, which was a bit of a shame. Anyway, the quality of the food was really excellent!

Shinsen is mijn favoriete sushi restaurant! Ze hebben hier zulke lekkere sushi. Ook lekkere grill gerechten. Qua sushi is er best veel keuze, dus de doorgewinterde sushifanaat kan z’n lol op hier. Maar ook de liefhebbers van vlees en vis kunnen moeiteloos hun buik vol eten hier. 😉 Echt een aanrader, zeker het proberen waard!

Wat hebben we lekker gegeten zeg ! Alles vers bereid en best grote porties per keer. Assortiment is groot en aardig personeel. De rondes werden snel uitgeserveerd. Het restaurant zat goed vol maar is zo opgezet dat je geen last hebt van elkaar. Je gaat ons zeker nog een keer terug zien hier.

Leider konnte man nur "All you can eat" bestellen, also maximal 5 Runden mit maximal 5 kleinen Speisen pro Person. Nach 3 Runden waren wir mehr als satt. Die Qualität ist überwiegend gut, nur Weniges hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Sushi ist in Ordnung, Garnelen Tempura sehr gut, Lammkoteletts auch sehr gut. Preis war für die Menge angemessen.

Een ok sushi restaurant, kwaliteit lijkt een beetje matig. Wellicht veel standaard inkoop bij de groothandel. Soms vreemde saus keuze bij gerechten bijvoorbeeld knoflook saus bij de tonkatsu (krokant varkensvlees en knoflook saus bij de krokante kip. Bij de garnalen kroketten zit dan weer zoete chilisaus, maar dat is ook een kwestie van smaak. Over het algemeen prima eten maar eerlijk gezegd zijn er in de omgeving betere sushi restaurants. Net als bij veel sushi restaurants erg vol en druk, niet heel prettig zitcomfort op de banken en stoelen.

Voor het eerst en voorlopig ook voor het laatst hier gegeten. Matige kwaliteit eten en ronduit slecht bediening. Nu zal dat komen door gebrek aan personeel, hier staan 16 jarigen zonder enige ervaring in de bediening. Eten wordt op tafel gezet zonder dat ze weten wat ze serveren en continue lege glazen op tafel. Jammer dat ze niet beter ingewerkt worden.

I've been coming here once or twice a year for years, and it's always been five stars. But now Soya is starting to lag behind other sushi restaurants. The menu doesn't offer much choice, and ordering by filling out paper forms is also lagging behind when ordering with a tablet or QR code. The food quality is good but not (anymore) spectacular. Service is still good, with friendly staff. The ambiance could be improved with better lighting and fewer tables. Since there are better sushi restaurants at the moment, I don't think I'll be returning (for a while).

Subject: Order number 6, 10-11-2025, Hoorn location. We've ordered from here many times and have been very satisfied. Only once before was an order half an hour late. On average, we order from here 5-6 times a year. Today we ordered a luxury menu, which was ready right on time at 4:45. Afterward, I went to pick up my son, and we were going to celebrate his birthday that evening with sushi and cake. Once home, my wife put the sushi box on the counter. Our 5-year-old son was very hungry and wanted to check it out. We were busy with the baby, and suddenly the sushi fell out of the box onto the floor. He was terrified, and his mother was, of course, incredibly angry. It was her birthday, and she had ordered 50 euros worth of sushi. We couldn't eat out that day because the baby had a fever. We had no food, and I didn't know what to do. Perhaps I could get sushi again, and perhaps, given the circumstances, Sushipoint could offer some leniency. When I called, a woman immediately resisted. When I explained the situation in more detail, she offered to consult her manager. After a while, she returned with a suggestion of either a single sushi box or an 11-euro discount on the luxury menu. She couldn't do more. We were two adults and two young children, and a single box wasn't enough. And 40 euros on top of the 50 euros we'd already paid was way too much for us. We were deeply disappointed. And hungry. This wasn't a happy birthday. We will never order from here again; this incident has left a bitter taste in our mouths. We'll order somewhere else next time, or go to a restaurant altogether.

A truly terrible experience. I had to wait over two hours for my order. When I finally called to ask where it was, I received no apology and was treated very curtly. Absolutely no customer service and very disappointing. I've come to expect something different from you.
