Good food, good service, and nice ambiance too

Not many options for sushi in the all you can eat. Most of the sushi options were not included and the sushi quality itself was not that great. The atmosphere was very nice though.

The food was good, with a nice variety of flavors. I ordered several sushi dishes, and while some of the sushi rice was overcooked and some was slightly undercooked, the rest of the food was delicious. Overall, we had a good experience.

Cozy atmosphere with good service. The staff were friendly and walked multiple times around to pick up our plates. The food and sushi is nice as well, except that the rice can taste a bit old! Additionally, it can, of course, be noisy when it’s crowded, but you can still talk aloud and hear each other. In overal, great experience!

What a beautiful place! The interior looks lovely and there is a really chic, pleasant atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and we were served incredibly quickly. Big shout-out to Yi Hai for the amazing hospitality; you really made us feel welcome! The location is also perfect if you want to go out afterwards; it is conveniently close to the clubs and bars. There is a wide selection of food on the menu. The only downside was that the rice was sometimes a little on the savory side, but that certainly didn't spoil the fun. All in all, highly recommended for a fun night out! We will definitely be back again 🤪

Expensive but tasty. The atmosphere, however, is really super cold. There are desk lamps on the tables for lighting and fish are projected onto the walls with a projector lol. Amsterdam restaurants are definitely better than this, especially for this price.

We eat there regularly with the children. The food is always delicious. Service is often only in English, which is a shame.

We really aren't picky about food, but this was disgusting!!! The sushi looked like it came out of the fridge overnight, not fresh at all. The shrimp were completely dried out, the rib eye was dry as a bone. The Cappuccino was roast beef, not Cappuccino. Everything has to be done via your mobile app, which kept crashing. They come to collect empty plates with an empty sink, so not polite for a restaurant. It is also literally placed on your table without saying a word. And we don't even consider that a problem, but the food was nothing, absolutely nothing tasted good. We ate at Shoyu in Den Bosch, everything is so fresh and tasty, definitely do not eat here, a waste of money!!!!!

Very little food and very expensive for what they offer, the afternoon menu is very limited and the small portions are not worth it.

My partner and I went for lunch two days ago, and I was quite disappointed. When I saw the menu on Google, the price seemed reasonable, but from the moment we walked in, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. That would have been normal if the place was full, and we didn't have a reservation, but there were only two tables in the whole place with just the three of us. The service was terrible; our food arrived much later than our drinks, and the sushi wasn't worth it—the portions were very small for the price. I left feeling quite disappointed; neither the service nor the food was good, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The service was really quick and the food was good. The portions for the All You Can Eat were also bigger than I expected. I recommend eating slowly and starting with salads so you don't get too full on the meat and rice before. They charge extra if they notice you're over ordering and wasting, which is a great initiative.

Our go to all you eat sushi place in Amsterdam now - something changed. it seems to get more "cost savings". the slices of fish are now sooo thin it's see through, the beef soup have tiny cubes of "beef", majority of the meat part of lunch is over velveted beef. It's really a pity

They don’t offer tap water, the menus are old and torn. Generally poorly maintained terrace and the smell of smoke is ever present.

The food was good, no complaints about the quality—fresh fish and well-presented. However, the organization really leaves much to be desired. I find it absurd to have to wait 10 minutes between orders. I understand the rationale of avoiding waste, but the system is truly frustrating. In my case, since I have a shellfish allergy, the waitress (very kind and helpful, it must be said) explained to us that we could order separately using two different QR codes. Too bad that, as soon as I ordered, my boyfriend couldn't do so because the system flagged it as if the order had already been placed. So basically, I had to watch him eat and vice versa...not very nice, I'd say. We asked another waitress for an explanation, but not only did she not understand the problem, she also rather impertinently insisted that we were the ones who didn't understand. The result: endless wait times, minimal portions (maximum 4 pieces at a time), and an overall truly unnerving experience. Leaving aside the fact that they presented us with the bill (almost as if to chase us away) while we were eating, and I find it absurd to have to take out money while I still had my fork in my hand... the icing on the cake, when it came to the bill... surprise! The "all you can eat" formula isn't actually "all you can eat" at all, because many things are paid for separately. Final total? €120 for two. Honestly, as good as the sushi was, it's absolutely not worth it.

We had a reservation for Sunday evening, but unfortunately, we were again given a table next to the kitchen and restrooms. Right in front of us were dirty, empty containers where the staff kept the used plates and cutlery. The restroom door was right next to us. This created a very unhygienic and unpleasant atmosphere. This was the second time we'd been to your restaurant, and both times we were assigned the exact same table. When we requested a different table, the staff politely asked the manager, but he said it wasn't possible, even though the restaurant was practically empty all evening. The food was also disappointing. We ordered lamb chops and tenderloin, among other things, but they were served red and bloody. This was an added disappointment to the uncomfortable seating. All in all, we were very disappointed. Due to both the location of our table and the quality of the food, we weren't able to enjoy our dinner. Sadly, this was our last time here.

I was there on a Saturday night, but I didn't find the music atmospheric. I heard a constant thumping bass. But maybe the younger crowd loved it.

The sushi was fine, but some items we ordered weren't delivered, but they weren't immediately noticeable. The service was very slow, though; we waited a full 45 minutes for drinks... we complained several times, and it wasn't until the fourth employee we approached that we addressed it. Otherwise, the restaurant is nicely decorated!

I've been going to Shiso for years. We own a restaurant. We thought we'd have a nice meal because we're regulars, but now I got seriously ill with my daughter and parents, and they got food poisoning! We already complained. Everything was inedible, but we got seriously ill, and the manager was making fun of us. People, don't eat there.

It's fine for a full meal, but it's nothing particularly special. The atmosphere isn't very welcoming either, as it feels like being in a warehouse. I also find it a bit pricey.

We came with a group of 13 friends for dinner and had a generally good experience. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially Liza from Ukraine, who was incredibly kind to us. The food was tasty, though portions were small — luckily you can order another 4 dishes per person every 10 minutes, which makes up for it. Desserts, however, are limited to 2 per person, which was a bit disappointing for me as I love ice cream. Drinks are also not included in the price, which feels a little unfair for a 2-hour unlimited dinner. I appreciated that the menu had a variety of options, not just sushi — the beef rib eye was delicious. The main downside was the atmosphere: the restaurant was so dark that it was hard to see our food, and after two hours I even got a headache. Overall, I enjoyed the evening and would come back, but only during the day when there’s natural light.

They don't care about you. The sushi quality was standard as expected BUT only if it came, almost every round we ordered we were missing multiple pieces so we ended up spending most of the time checking every order if everyone got what they ordered, we asked the waitresses but they gave empty promises and the food didn't arrive. We even missed a whole round of 20 pieces (in the pictures), we waited 50min to no avail. We ran out of ordering time and the waitress said sorry we are busy, and proceeded to give us the check for 160 euros. If you like gambling, then go ahead and order maybe you will get your food. If you want a good experience find somewhere else.
