Unfortunately, my dish did not resemble nor taste like Pad See Ew (€19). I don’t think a repeat visit would be warranted.

We had a wonderful lunch at Siam Thai and left completely satisfied! The food was absolutely amazing — every dish arrived piping hot, incredibly fresh, and bursting with authentic flavors. The portions were generous and everything came out surprisingly fast. The service was outstanding too. Our waitress was one of the sweetest and most attentive servers we've had in a long time — genuinely friendly, smiling the whole time, and really making us feel welcome. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back soon. 🌟

We randomly stopped in when walking back to our ARBNB. Might have been the best decision we had for food choices our entire 13 day trip through Europe. It was magnificent. We had the Kababos and the Green Curry, and I could not get enough! Absolutely Geweldig. Fantastisch

It is a disaster. The fried rice is so wet with bad seasoning, both fried noodles and curry are extremely salty. It is positioned as a Thai restaurant but I can’t feel any taste of Thai from the food.I will not recommend anyone to visit this restaurant.

If you guys prefer Thai style dishes, I would not recommend to this restaurant. Bad experience. All of the taste were too salty and sweetened. The Pad Thai was not original Thai style. Pad sir ew beef with egg noodles was salty as well. kou pad saparot was too wet to eat. Not recommended

First meal we had in Amsterdam and the bar was set high! We had no 48. massaman nua - beef, 56. keng deng tjee - tofu and vegetables in red curry sauce, 57. pad thai and another fried rice dish. They can also adjust spiciness level if you want. Everything was delicious & service was also very pleasant, highly recommend it!

This was truly one of the best Thai meals I have ever had! The pad Thai and chicken satay were delicious. We were in a rush to head to a museum after and the food came out quickly and was delicious. The service was great as well, I highly recommend trying this place when you’re in Amsterdam!

THIS IS NOT AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD. This place is not run by Thai people and the food is not thai at all. It’s food, but just not Thai food. Those who gave good reviews must be non-Thai, never been to Thailand, or never had real Thai food before. I ordered Pad See Ewe and what i received was nothing close to that. The noodles used in the dish was incorrect, no Thai people used that and called it Pad See Ewe. The real authentic Pad See Ewe is with the rice noodles that is wider and thicker. There was a lot of water at the bottom of the dish, no “Wok Hey” at all for a stir fry dish. It was more like a boiled noodles dish with stir-fry beef. Very disappointed, especially it costs €20.5, never again.

Mario was our server and was amazing. The restaurant is clean, soothing and most important we enjoyed our food. The paneng is my go to and it didnt disappoint. Will be returning

The best Thai food in Amsterdam! Papaya salad is from a real green papaya. Tom yum soup also tasting great as well as pad Thai. I recommend - it’s worth finding and eating here!

We wanted a cozy and authentic Thai restaurant with an outdoor seating and came across this place. The food was excellent. We got Pad Thai and the papaya salad both delicious (portions are big). But the best part was that the staff was amazingly kind. Thank you to the wonderful family that runs this place! We will definitely come back again.

What a wonderful experience this was. We ate here recently and it was a real treat from start to finish. Every single dish looked fantastic. The noodles on the black plate with the fresh shrimp, in particular, were perfectly prepared and tasted delicious. It is a nice place to sit quietly for a while and enjoy a really good meal. We will definitely be back here soon.

Unfortunately, this restaurant didn’t quite live up to our expectations. We ordered the Pad Thai, but it was much sweeter than expected and heavily coated in sauce, which took away from the fresh flavors that make this classic dish so enjoyable. We also tried the green papaya salad, but it didn’t seem like it was made with traditional green papaya. It tasted more like shaved cucumber, the portion was quite small, and the balance of spice and seasoning just wasn’t there. For my main course, I ordered the spicy lamb minced meat dish and specifically asked for it to be very spicy—something that would really make me sweat! Sadly, it arrived with very little heat, and the flavors fell a bit flat. Overall, the service was perfectly fine, but the food felt average and lacked the fresh, vibrant flavors that make Thai cuisine so memorable. I think there’s room for improvement, particularly in staying true to traditional flavors and using fresher ingredients. It was an okay experience, but unfortunately not one I’d return for.

The two soups (Tom Kha Gai and Tom Yam Goong) weren't particularly good, but not terrible either. The main problem was the lack of filling. Three stars for the soups. The main courses (Green Chicken Curry and Papaya Salad) were better than the soups, but still quite far removed from "authentic" Thai cuisine, so unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough for four stars overall.

The food here was truly first-class. For a starter, we had a soup with coconut milk and chicken pieces, delicately seasoned with lemongrass. For the main course, we had roast duck in red curry with coconut milk. Absolutely delicious. The service was also friendly and unobtrusive. Highly recommended!

We were there a week ago. We initially thought the restaurant was closed; they definitely should advertise themselves more, otherwise we would have missed out! :-) I had duck, my girlfriend had pork, and we've honestly never had such good Thai food as here (well, and in Thailand too :-D). We always have difficulties finding a good spot in the city center for a quick bite and we got super lucky stumbling across this place today! Our waitress was super sweet (and funny!) and our food arrived super quickly. The quality was amazing and every bite was full of flavour. We will definitely come back!

Honestly feels like a tourist trap. I had to grab the cutlery myself from one of the many empty tables after the food came. The food was good but very overpriced. And no in-house iced tea? No tap water? When I asked for the brand of their listed iced tea, the server looked hesitant, so I asked if it "was made here" and she said yes enthusiastically. They brought us bottles of Fuze iced tea... So are you so fancy that you don't serve tap or are you so bare bones that you don't make iced tea? Very weird and off-putting experience.

We visited to Siam Thai yesterday as one of our friends had Thai food craving.Its very close to the dam square.The atmosphere was cozy with options to sit both inside and outside.The service was really amazing.The food menu was not extravagant but food was made with so much of love.We simply loved the food there. The warmth of the stuff was another added highlight. The service personnel complained even though many of the visitors are from India but they never write any review,So here it is.I am keeping my promise.😊 I would definitely visit you again in the summer.

The food was good, the interactions a bit strange. First place I visit in Amsterdam that refuses to serve tap water (i had order another drink, it was just to have a bit of water) and then got surprised i wasnt planning to pay cash. The whole thing wasnt rude, just very awkward and I left wondering about the awkward vibe of the place.

We received a very warm welcome from the owner, and the restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. The menu was varied, and the price/performance ratio was good for Amsterdam. Don't be fooled if place looks empty. Delicious and authentic Thai food in the heart of Amsterdam. When we reaches at 8:08 pm there was no one inside the restaurant and that made us second guess if this place is even good. We did a take out/ to go food. The chef was quick and food for us and the other table was ready in a matter of minutes. I ordered pad Thai in the beginning but the owner quickly recommend that it will be sweet and perhaps won't be something with Indian taste buds enjoy and he was right. Ask them to modify and they will adjust the dishes as you ask.

I’m taking off one star because the manager refused to let us pay by card at the end of our meal — even though we could clearly see the card reader sitting right behind her! It’s a real shame, as the food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, we left on a sour note.

We were out for a walk, and decided on Thai food, for a late lunch. We sat outside in the lovely spring sunshine. We ordered a beer each....the spring rolls, Tony had the beef and red curry, I ordered the duck with green curry. Our food was hot, and delicious. Service was excellent. We're very happy that we stopped at the right place for a wonderful thai food meal.

Very bad experience … we fell badly sick after eating at this restaurant with my husband and both of us ended up with stomach ache and vomitting a few hours after our meal !!! The pad Thai was too sweet too acid with little to no vegetables !!! We questioned the oily starters but didn’t think we will end up being sick for the rest of our trip !!!! Soo disappointing to pay such high price to end up sick !!!! Hope this helps saving holidays of other people !!!

The three of us just had dinner and it was the worst Thai food we've ever had. The tofu with green curry was such a small portion, there was very little tofu in it, and for 18 euros it wasn't worth it. Pad Thai tastes like nothing Thai, it tastes very sweet, no lime, no bean sprouts, no peanuts, nothing. The fish was dry and tasted like nothing. We'll never go back again, really not tasty.

I usually don’t write reviews but a statement from the owner / manager / man at the reception triggered me to write one. Before that, I would like to give 5 star for the food and an exceptional service by the lady. The only reason I would deduct 1 star is for the statement from the man at the reception. We wanted to reserve before visiting but unfortunately our call wasn’t picked (I can imagine they were busy due to festival season) so we decided to visit directly and try our luck and glad that we found a table for 6 and the lady greeted us with respect and lovely smile. Food was amazing and there were enough options for all food preferences (sea food, chicken, vegetarian). The lady was really friendly and she even greeted us and said thanks in our language. After the dinner, when I went to pay and also appreciate them for food and accommodating us as we tried our luck without reservation, the lady asked me to write a review of if I liked the service, I responded that I usually don’t do it and my repeat visit and word of mouth is a way to show appreciation and then the man at the reception said to the lady (politely though) that ‘Please don’t ask him to write reviews’ and then he confirmed my native country, which i responded to as Indian; he said to the lady that Indians only write bad reviews and never appreciate by writing a good one; to which I responded that if that is the case then I would like to change the trend and hence would like to say that everything was good except for the statement which was generalising the attributes of whole country people. Sir, with all due respect, every person is different and we all are human beings first; our origin, colour, background is just our identity. Having said that, I understand what you mean. Keep doing the great work, feeding people is amongst the most noble job in the world. Thanks and have a great new year 2026.

We had dinner here as the first thing upon arriving Amsterdam. As a Thai person, I can say this restaurant’s provide authentic Thai food with thai hot and spicy! The waitress is nice and friendly! We order 1 starter and 2 main plus 2 beers and 1 still water with total 83euro. Worth it!

I had the worst food experience here. The food was bad? The service was bad. There was no cutlery on the table, no waters served. We ordered tofu fried rice and the tofu went bad. When we told the owner that food was bad he literally threw the plates in front of us. It was disgusting for us as tourists

I was very disappointed with my visit to Sam Thaï. The Thai noodles I ordered were undercooked, very crunchy, and difficult to eat. The sauce was extremely sweet, to the point of being inedible. The waiter was also very unfriendly. He got annoyed because I didn’t finish my dish, even though the quality of the food was really not acceptable. Despite this, we were still charged the full amount, without a single apology or even a goodbye. A very disappointing experience that I do not recommend.

Came here one day after work, not expecting much and I have to say I am thankful I did. It’s my go to Thai place in the city. Delicious thai food, quick service, super friendly staff and the food tastes fresh. AND I think the prices are good, considering the location. Really recommend it for a quick warm lunch or dinner, or even for take away if you’re a bit in a hurry!
