I was walking by and saw a rat walking inside the restaurant, just zoom in.

I am absolutely obsessed with this place now… I came here this afternoon for the first time, and I got the wonton soup. It was absolutely amazing, lots of flavor!! The guys working there were also really kind! I will definitely be coming back.

First of all I want to say that the food was delicious, I ordered the original dumpling (8pc) fried dumplings (8pc) and one bow. everything was great an tasty and fresh. the original one's are my favorite. just one thing keep in mind there's not a lot of sitting place. and no tables, its more suitable for takeaways or eating while standing.

The red oil wontons are sweet, with absolutely no spiciness. They've really adapted to local customs too thoroughly...

Tried this Sichuan-style bapao today and wow — the flavor slaps. The bun is super soft and fluffy, and the filling hits you with that perfect mix of chili heat and numbing Sichuan pepper. 🥵🌶️ It’s got that deep, rich spice that builds up but still lets you taste all the garlicky, savory goodness inside. Kinda addictive, not gonna lie. 😋

The food was delicious, especially the baozi buns. But unfortunately, the service spoiled the experience. More than half of the dishes were not available, despite the fact that it was a weekday morning. We had to wait a long time for our order, although there were few customers. The staff mixed up our order, but then corrected it. I don’t think I’ll be back again.

Convenient pick up for Sichuan food. It is so tasty and nice people to serve. Vegetarian dumpling and bun are the best. Highly recommended.

Summary: affordable and good snacks! best to order food to go because seating is not very comfortable and quite limited. I ordered the vegetable pancake (8€) and the spicy wonton soup (8€). I really enjoyed the vegetable pancake because it was flavourful with the umami, sichuan peppers and chilis. It’s not spicy if anyone is wondering😅 I liked the soup a lot less because the broth didn’t have a taste, I think they forgot to add the flavor since they just opened when I ordered. The wontons were yummy tho, freshly made as well. I got my food within 10-15mins of ordering so it wasn’t so bad. Especially because they cooked it on the spot. I sat inside with a small stool and used the bank as a table, so it might not be very comfortable for most. And there was no fan, so it turned out very hot inside. I will come back to this place definitely!

Stopped for lunch this weekend and had to have the hand made spicy sizchuan dumplings. A portion of 8, handcrafted in front of you, spicy tasty dumplings for 9.5 euros is not to be beaten. Deliciously fresh, with spring onions, soy based dressing and lovely seasoned meat. My cousin had the sizchuan salad pancake with pot sticker dumplings. Salad was spicy and fresh, and the dumplings perfectly cooked. Would visit again in a heartbeat - thank you

Today, I found a “stone” in my bao. I was told it was a peppercorn, but to my knowledge, peppercorns are round, not triangular in shape. It was very hard to bite into, and it slightly hurt my tooth. I was also told that if I bit it, it would “explode” because it was a peppercorn—but nothing happened when I tried, which made me think it might actually have been a stone. I didn’t proceed trying as I don’t want to break my teeth. Additionally, yesterday I ordered two chicken baos and one pork bao. Today, I placed the same order, but the fillings seemed to have been swapped—the one that was pork yesterday became chicken today, and vice versa. As a result, I couldn’t tell which flavor I ended up eating. This could be a serious issue for someone who avoids pork and specifically requests chicken, but then receives the wrong filling.

Do do you have chicken? Yes. After I payed. No sir, we do not have. Respect your customer, be honest !

Unfortunately the dumplings were dry, super dry, the owners son/person told me it’s because I was eating the paper. I told the person whom I have no idea whom they are (probably owners son) I said I spent time in Shanghai and this is not how they should be, he said that this type of dumpling are not from Shanghai they are from different part of China, so I have no idea what I’m taking about……interesting considering I travel to Shanghai, Beijing, shenzen, wuhan(covid19) Guangzhou Hongkong (pretend China) , oh where else… and I have no idea….. Your dumpling case is dry, take some constructive criticism.

I got the bao and salad combo. The salad was tasty but would be better warm, and if served as a salad some coriander or leaf going through it would be my personal preference, however there were quite a few bones and cartilage running through it. I also had the pork bao but unfortunately was quite dry and the service is quite slow.

I think the deliciousness of this restaurant lies in the effective use of Japanese pepper. The wonton soup was so delicious that I ate it two days in a row. Even with the pepper inside the wontons, it's really delicious. The chili oil on the counter was very fragrant and added a nice accent, so I ate it while pouring it over the steamed meat buns. Even though it's only a take-out and counter restaurant, I was so impressed by how delicious it was that I stopped by three times during my one-week stay in Amsterdam. I usually live in Warsaw, where the ramen is of a high standard, but the Chinese food is not, so I was glad that there was a full Chinatown here. The workers have a scary look on their faces, but they're attentive and tell me to be careful because it's hot, and give me a tray of steamed buns. Recommended when you are tired of Western food. It seemed like a lot of locals were stopping by as well. There were probably about 6 wontons in the wonton soup, which felt like enough. The xiao long bao was also handmade in the store. I would have eaten it if I had more time~ Anyway, it's easy and delicious, so I highly recommend it. The meat buns have a fluffy skin, and the filling is sweet and rich in flavor. Whatever it is, it's delicious! I would even come back to Ams again just to go to Chinatown.

I ordered the “spicy” shrimp wonton soup, but it wasn’t spicy at all. It missed flavour in general.

This is not a sit-down restaurant, but a place for takeout or grabbing a quick bite. I had the sliced beef noodle and pancake with vegetables. Points for improvement: the noodles were overcooked and I wish there was more beef (then it would have been a really comforting dish); the pancake was yummy but it could have been warmer. Overall a good place for a quick bite but for sure they can improve.

Crazily knew that 9,5€ only 4 small pieces of wanton (schrimp flavor) when it was serving to the table. No indication on menu, no picture to show the actual size. Even with speaking Chinese here, feel like a trap to disguise the actual portion and make the way much money than it costs. First time, but also last time!!!

De Sichuan meat salad is the best. They look very spicy, but not! So for me is perfect. Nice that we can mix all the meat in 1 small box €8,5. Xiao long bao 6 small peaches €15. It tastes very fresh. Wait 13 minutes for steaming, it is worth waiting for it. For the meat definitely I will come back!

Sorry… as an Asian person, the Bao is not nice (and im saying it politely). Barely any chicken filling and the texture of the Bao is sticky and not fluffy how it should be

The Beijing duck sandwich is one of the tastiest sandwiches in the city.

Kind service, amazing food. Genuinely one of the best steamed bao we ever had. The only downside is the lack of nice places to sit down and eat, but I feel eating these on a stool is part of the experience. We will certainly go back to try other foods on the menu.

Delicious dumplings but guys be honest and transparent with your visuals. You have Bok Choy in your imagery for the won ton dumpling soup for instance. Even on the creative wall display you have it featured inside the dish. If it won’t be in the actual dishes remove it from the visuals. It’s misleading.

We were served the wrong boa buns. They were so dry bland and one was frozen in the middle. You get 10 times better from the grocery store. The sichuan sauce was empty for the whole time we were there. Don’t bother!

Tried the bao, it was horrible. Frozen on the inside and tasted of nothing. Would not recommend. Just buy one at the supermarket for 1 eu, those are better.

Not only was the wrong food served, but the taste was not authentic. The so-called Sichuan food was sweet and the buns were frozen. I would rather buy them at the supermarket and heat them up at home.

This restaurant is an absolute disgrace. The lady who serves here seems to have no idea what she's actually doing. She can't even print a bill. I definitely won't be coming back .. EDIT: In English, the term 'restaurant' encompasses even fast-food chains, so I’m confident that your establishment is indeed the one being referenced!

We wanted something quick on hand and happened to end up at Sichuan Taste. The Sichuan Bao was soft and tasty, the filling could have been more flavorful, but the service was friendly and quick.

Had a great chicken and bao sandwich. Very friendly staff. Clean and nicely decorated modest shop where you can also buy various Asian products.

The Peking duck sandwich is great, although a bit pricey at €8.50. Be sure to add a little of the spicy sauce on the counter. Pork boa bun (vegetarian is also available) also delicious. Friendly staff!

Great place to quickly eat a sandwich or some dumplings. Pretty chill, you just can't really sit.

Food is good. But 15 euro for a meat cold side dish that’s barely for 1 person, that’s too expensive. Cheaper to buy a warm dish for take out in a nearby sichuan resto. Service can also improve. The young worker needs training and should move faster. It has potential though. Only if they can improve on pricing and better service.

Delicious Peking duck sandwich with refined flavors. Too bad you can't eat it on the spot, but have to do it on the street. Can't you easily place a counter with a few stools in front of the windows?

Broodje braised duck genuttigd. Dit is hun besteller, en niet zonder reden. Poeh wat lekker! Goede balans tussen brood, eend en groente, afgemaakt met een heerlijk saus. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.
