Super tasty food and beautiful restaurant

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my 20th birthday, and to be honest, I was quite disappointed… The food is tasty, no doubt, and there’s a large selection of sushi, but there are almost no salads, and only a few non-alcoholic cocktails (just 3). The table was dirty as soon as we arrived, and if you want to take photos, there’s really no good spot for that.

The food was absolutely fantastic. The service was absolutely terrible. We received the wrong food all evening, and we were given double desserts that we had to pay for, even though we hadn't ordered them. It was too busy and there weren't enough staff. We were promised a discount at the checkout because the food was so bad, but unfortunately, that didn't happen either. We will never be back.

Great sushi restaurant, the food was deliciously fresh and arrived quickly. The atmosphere was cozy, and in the summer they even have a rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the weather! Silk is highly recommended.

Today I had dinner for my son's 13th birthday. I called ahead to ask if they could provide some extra festive cheer. Several waitstaff came by to congratulate him, which made him feel incredibly happy :) A complimentary cheesecake with "Congratulations" on it, accompanied by fireworks. Coin even asked afterward if my son enjoyed his birthday at Silk. All the staff are incredibly friendly. "Good evening," "please," and "Is everything to your liking?" The food was delicious! We could have driven home without a hitch. Besides the super fresh sushi, the hot dishes were also incredibly delicious!!! Thanks Silk for tonight!! We'd love to come back!!

We often get takeout. Always delicious, and the sticky chicken is delicious and a good portion.

Only come here if you actually want to get sick for your mother-in-law's birthday the next day. And if you want to get to know your toilet a little better that evening, my goodness. The tuna was definitely not fresh.

The food was truly delicious! Absolutely recommended. Lots of choices, not just sushi, but also a lot of delicious meat dishes. Definitely in my top 3 sushi restaurants. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is a bit lacking. It's all very open and not very inviting. More like a cafeteria. Downstairs, there's a beautiful tree, but it's near their kitchen, so far from where you sit. That's a shame. The staff is friendly, but it took a long time to get the requested chopsticks and for the table to be cleared. But all in all... Fantastic! I'd love to go back!

This time we had a delicious meal, excellent service, but you have to create the atmosphere yourself. It seems as if the management has taken a thorough overhaul, with lots of new faces.

Hit or miss. Sometimes when we eat here everything is delicious and fresh! Others, the food is clearly not fresh & quality is subpar for the price. We keep going back hoping for the good experience, because when it’s good, it’s really good! But, you might also get them on an off day..

Went here with a group of four people. Pros: spacious, many choice options Cons: some dishes were quite bland Many sushi were doused in sauces etc. Service was sometimes slow or lacking The tablet is extremely laggy and slow. The squid skewer was not great. Slimy, bland and overall icky.

The food was okay/reasonable. The waiters wore dirty clothes, and the beer was poured from a glass with tap residue.

Food was good. It was not clear who had ordered what. Everything was served mixed up. If you like everything this is not a problem. Service not very talkative. The place could use a cleaning. Windows were very dirty for example.

Had a great meal at Silk Sushi. We didn't have the best spot, but that allowed you to see a lot of how the staff interacts with each other. The cozy atmosphere they have, they really bring over in the restaurant. Delicious sushi and the side dishes were also delicious.

A favorite restaurant of ours. Our daughter is crazy about it now too. I especially recommend the Sake Tataki and Truffle Sake, so good!

We made a reservation for lunch on Saturday. The weather was nice and warm, so I added a comment to the reservation, asking for outdoor seating. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were told the outdoor seating was closed. Too bad, but we still wanted lunch. So we chose the all you can taste lunch menu, and ordered our first round of sushi. Unfortunately, more than 50% of the full menu is unavailable for lunch, unless you pay per dish. The fish tasted fresh, but the preparation of the food was lacking. All the fried dishes were far too well done, so they were very dry, almost inedible. We ended the lunch with sweet buns, as we always do when we’re at an asian restaurant. They were so far gone, they looked (and tasted) like cracked open geodes. The food was far too expensive for the quantity and quality. I have eaten here for dinner before, and that was okay. I would not recommend lunching here, there are better options in Zwolle.

I was so full. Unbelievable. I only found out late that the beef rolls with cheese were also on the menu here. After I saw these, I immediately said that these definitely had to go in my mouth. After a short wait, I was allowed to see the first rolls. Awesome. The cheese was dripping out of the beef roll, which made me start dripping myself😅. I quickly grabbed a roll. And the other 3 soon followed. Since we were with several people, I had to hurry. At the end I thought, I'm going crazy! BAM! 3x the beef rolls with cheese! 12 pieces! Suddenly someone at the table said. I don't choose 3 things, you know. I took my chance and ordered an extra beef roll. 16 pieces! I couldn't believe my luck. On the other side of the table there was also a lover of the rolls and he also ordered 2x the beef rolls. Suddenly it got dark. As if something was blocking all the light. We heard a big thud. The light was back and the table was filled. There was a huge plate of beef rolls and cheese. I couldn't believe my eyes. I quickly grabbed my sticks and started to feast. Since I was already quite full, I had more and more trouble. I thought, the faster I eat, the more I can eat! I counted 4, 5, 6.....9, 10.........at one point I asked the other fan: how many more do you need? He indicated 1...I stopped counting and put 1 roll aside...4, 3, 2 and 1 more...done. I couldn't take it anymore...but it was so delicious! Rolling home! After the rolls I secretly had a scoop of ice cream hihi. See you soon!

I was really positively surprised at Silk Sushi in Zwolle! The sushi was incredibly delicious and tasted wonderfully fresh. The staff was fast and efficient, the plates were collected immediately after eating and the food was served quickly. It was a nice experience, both in terms of service and taste. I will definitely come back here!

The sushi is fine, but the customer service could be better, we accidentally ordered 2 cocktails instead of 1, but we had to pay for the extra cocktail that we didn't want in full. No leniency possible. So 2 stars less for service.

It was a successful evening. At an all you can eat. The quality is fine, sushi was good. Lots of creative and tasty things on the menu. Our toddler also enjoyed a delicious meal. You order via tablet. Contact with staff is minimal, which is also fine. It would be useful if the wasabi were on the tablet.

Noisy place, staff just throws the food on the table, mumbling what it is. Clearing the table is quite difficult, so empty plates and bottles remain for a long time. Food is not very special. I've ever had better food.

We came in, were escorted to our table, and we were allowed to sit there and nothing happened. We saw people come in and they were all helped and served immediately. While we ended up waiting half an hour for the tablet or even the first round of drinks, until our patience ran out and we decided to leave. This is a shame because we have always had a good experience. Then go to the competitor.

Nice location, and also reasonably tasty food for this concept restaurant, some of the service could have been a little more cheerful and helpful, we had to wait for someone to turn on the tablet for 15 minutes, unfortunately this took time away from eating because we also had to be at the film on time. Finally, you can enjoy some Asian snacks there, but don't expect much from it, and don't expect a quiet environment either.

The service was fast but I didn't feel welcomed and when I ask a question I get a yes or no answer without explanation. Finally I asked if we could get a candle on a cake or something else, she said yes, I waited a while and then I ordered a chocolate mouse and they just brought it without a candle or fire. All sushi dishes were cold only the fried ones were warm I better go to food and stuff 🫣

I had high expectations, but unfortunately I was quite disappointed. There is little variety, and I found the sushi they offer mediocre. Maybe I had too high expectations due to the good reviews, but for me this is not worth repeating.

As somebody from the Uk, where sushi restaurants are few and far between, I had an excellent time here and will probably be raving about it for a while. Although the food was very good, the beef dishes being absolutely exquisite, it is the general experience that makes it a place to remember. You're provided with a tablet for the table to make your orders, you can place an order of 3 dishes per person every 10 minutes for a whole 2 hours. It feels almost like a game and it's very satisfying being able to try almost every dish. The amount of sushi we ate was astonishing. We will be back without a doubt. Also, a mention of how sweet and efficient the girl was that served us, thank you.

Crazy menu! Very expansive as well. Definitely something for everyone. Really lovely interiors and a great vibe with friendly service.

MOUSE IN THE RESTAURANT?! NASTY AND UNACCEPTABLE! The food was tasty and the service was great, but what we saw afterwards was downright DISGUSTING. When we got up, a mouse was walking under another couple's table. That dirty animal then casually ran towards us, as if it belonged there every day and was not afraid of people. And as if that wasn't bad enough, I now read that someone saw mice running around on the window frames 2 years ago. So this is a structural problem! If mice are already running around so freely in the restaurant, I don't even want to know what's going on in the kitchen. We used to come here regularly, but they just lost 4 regular customers due to this nasty situation. Before you know it, you'll have mouse droppings on your plate. BAH!

Het eten was lekker en de service prima, maar wat we na afloop zagen, was ronduit WALGELIJK. Toen we opstonden, liep er een muis onder de tafel bij een ander stel. Dat vieze beest rende daarna doodleuk onze kant op, alsof het daar dagelijks thuishoort. En alsof dat nog niet erg genoeg is, lees ik nu dat iemand 2 jaar geleden al muizen zag rondrennen over de kozijnen. Dit is dus een structureel probleem! Als muizen al zo vrij rondlopen in het restaurant, wil ik niet eens weten hoe het eraan toegaat in de keuken. Wij komen hier met onze groep van vier mensen NOOIT meer terug. Ze hebben zojuist 4 vaste klanten verloren door deze smerige situatie. Voor je het weet, krijg je een muizenkeutel op je bord. BAH!

Made a reservation last Friday at 8 a.m. and were allowed in at 8 a.m. sharp. There we were put at a table where we were fully immersed in the draft. This was also pointed out to the staff, where we received the answer that she had to get used to it when she came to work there. We had made a reservation for 2.5 hours, but paid the bill after 1.5 hours because we had to sit with our coats and scarves on and this was impossible to maintain. The food was otherwise fine.

Great place to eat sushi. Fresh and delicious and quickly on the table. Top. I didn't like the rest of the card. Too many fried dishes for my taste. I'm natural. But we had a nice evening and a delicious meal.

Really delicious sushi that is served bizarrely quickly. The only point for improvement is that the desserts are disappointing and out of proportion to the sushi, which is really fantastic.

Silk is een mooie all-you can eat zoals er zo velen zijn. Net als in vele zaken is het netjes, sfeervol en iets te volgepropt met te kleine tafels…maar Silk heeft een troefkaart….er is net iets meer keuze en de kwaliteit van de gerechtjes is net iets beter dan bij de rest. Daarmee is een avond Silk ook echt een avond genieten….en iets te vol tellen we dan af naar de volgende keer :-)

Ate here for the second time today. The food is delicious, it comes quickly and everything is very fresh. Staff and service very friendly and tidy. We will definitely come here more often, highly recommended!!

Hello Marinthe here, I would like to file a complaint... last Saturday we went out for dinner at Silk Zwolle and it was such a bad experience it ruined our entire evening. We came in and had to wait 15 minutes before our tablet was activated. We ordered drinks and it took 45 minutes before we got them. We received the sushi quickly, but it contained very spicy herbs, which made us quite thirsty. At one point it took so long that I even started drinking tap water from the toilet because I couldn't handle it anymore. Well the drinks didn't come so we ordered again which came after 15 minutes. A waitress came to get our plates and there were still some vegetables left over. The waitress accidentally dropped the plate on my friend, she can't do anything about it, but we can now throw away the pants and the blouse because the stains will no longer come out. out…. I think it's a shame that we didn't even get a discount or an apology at all, which is a shame!

Super restaurant 👍 food was delicious again

We sat down at a reserved table with 5 people and were literally spoiled with all kinds of well-prepared dishes. Just the right taste, not too salty/sweet/spicy, etc. Portions are slightly larger than average, so you don't have to order a second time if necessary, but you can also try other dishes on the menu. The wait staff is very quick, easy to communicate with and friendly. The waiting time between dishes is also short. Just fast enough to have fun conversations with the other table companions. Dynamic whole. The location is top notch in my opinion. Nice view of a lively street where all kinds of things pass by, nice to see. We were assigned a round table, which was very nice and cozy and was linked to a second round table. Linked in such a way that you can still see everything, but you feel very private while dining. We will definitely come back. Top restaurant in my opinion.

Delicious all you can eat... Friendly staff..

I always enjoy a new experience. Tried all kinds of new dishes. Ribeye was good and also the various chicken and shrimp dishes. We liked the sushi a little less. It looked good and tasted okay. I thought that was a shame. Definitely recommended for new flavors in the field of Asian Dining.

Silk! Oh my! Had an excellent dinner here. Service was friendly and accommodating. Food service was quick, fresh and very VERY good. The “fusions” definitely make this one stand out from the default all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. Can’t comment on deserts, our stomachs could not handle one more bite 🤣 Anyway. As I always say, the meal isn’t over when I’m full. The meal is over when I hate myself.

Wederom heerlijk gegeten. Altijd goede service en de lekkerste sushi van Zwolle. Keuze genoeg om te eten in Zwolle maar we gaan toch iedere keer naar Silk omdat je daar heerlijk en gevarieerd kunt eten👍👍

Fried things and hot dishes are tasty. Although the fried things are very greasy. The sushi is not very tasty. Too much mayo on it and rice falls apart. Wasabi was crispy and had been sitting for a while.... Service has a lot to be desired. Not super friendly and hospitable. A cleaning cloth may be used here and there. All in all it wasn't really a great experience. For really tasty sushi, there are plenty of other tasty choices in Zwolle!

Sushis are decent. For the price you pay, you expect better. The avocado salad is highly recommended.

Very busy but still tasty and fast with the food, very friendly staff

The food was not as good as I remember, especially the sushi with pieces of surimi and a lot of rice. The service was bad at first until the manager came. He made up for that. We went to this restaurant several times with guests. This was the last time.

Het voedsel was niet zo goed als ik mij herinner, vooral de sushi met stukken surimi. De service was in het begin slecht totdat de gerant kwam. Hij maakte dat goed. We zijn verschillende keren naar dit restaurant gegaan met gasten. Dit was de laatste keer.

The sushi is mediocre. Fall apart and most of them have a tangy filling sauce on them so everything tastes the same. Sitting outside was very atmospheric. The dessert and coffee took a long time, after half an hour of asking the boy said it will be here soon, after more than an hour we were done. The first two people I spoke to inside had a lousy response, the boy who served us and the boy behind the counter were super nice and understanding, the receipt turned out to be missing. In the end we received a hefty discount which I really appreciated, but we will never come back! What a mockery!

I found the food to be delicious, but the chicken was too hard for my preference. I have had sushi with a softer and more tender texture. The soft rice was well prepared. However, not all staff were friendly and I noticed one staff member bumping into another, which seemed unnecessary given the available space to walk on the side.

Eten is prima. Jammer dat op de site staat dat de lunch 21,50 pp is. En je bij het afrekenen eerst een rekening van 90 euro krijgt met inclusief 2 cocktailtjes erbij van 8,00. Toen was het ineens 26,50 pp en hadden ze nog allerlei dingen extra aangeslagen die wij niet hadden gehad. Een grote misleiding. Kom hier niet meer.

Niet het geld waard. We hebben tijdig gereserveerd en worden aan het uiteinde gezet van een 10 pers. tafel, met aan het andere uiteinde ook nog 2 mensen die wij niet kende. We vroegen om een ander tafeltje en gelukkig kon dit, maar hier zit je heel dicht op andere mensen. Sushi was prima wel hadden sommige stukjes onverwachte saus wat niet op de foto stond vaak dan net met een viezige azijn smaak? De keuze was ook niet mega voor de prijs.

Tasty and good food. It took a while before our tablet was turned on. We had been waiting for fifteen minutes. But it was also busy. The food made up for everything. Sat at a nice table with plenty of space. Had a wonderful evening.

Very cozy sushi restaurant located on the edge of Zwolle. Good formula where you choose a few dishes per round. You have a very wide choice and there is certainly something for everyone. Very friendly employees!! When the weather is nice, there are some nice places outside on the terrace, but also very pleasant inside. Everything taken care of and fast service. Highly recommended for sushi lovers.

I eat a lot in sushi restaurants and in Zwolle I had already had most of it. I had high expectations for this price but the food was far from good. The rice was chewy and dry, the sushi had a cheap taste and most of the dishes were just meh. You can order most dishes at any sushi all you can eat and I noticed a big difference in quality, but especially in taste and sauce. This is a shame, I will continue to recommend the Blue sakura in Zwolle for these prices!!

Eat here regularly! Unfortunately it is getting busier and we therefore have to wait longer and longer. You can order food again after 10 minutes, but sometimes you really have to wait 15 / 20 minutes for the first dishes to arrive. We were also the last to arrive and it was so busy that we still had to wait a long time for a reserved table. So this is certainly not a place I would recommend if you have other plans in the evening. Or already a headache because it is extremely noisy. What they do well here is that allergies are really taken into account.
