The Dublin House in Wijk 10 Binnenstad

We had a delicious meal and drinks together. We had a Bavette and a Steak Tartare. The Bavette was truly excellent! The Tartare was also very tasty. The fries were perfect and nicely seasoned. For dessert, we both had the Brownie. It was delicious, but the portion was actually too large; it could have been a lot smaller. For drinks: a good variety of cocktails and beers. We also enjoyed a pint of Guinness, and I enjoyed an Irish Coffee.

€10.00 for half a liter of Peroni is just absurd! 😳

Dublin House offers comfortable seating. The service is excellent and fast. There are heaters outside next to the door, so you can sit comfortably. It's a bit loud inside, but you can hear everyone just fine. The interior also has a nice atmosphere. Dublin House is definitely recommended!

It was cozy. Excellent service and delicious food.

I ate here, and boy, was that disappointing. I had a smoked salmon appetizer on a sweet American pancake. My salmon wasn't smoked, but raw salmon because the skin was still on the fish, so it wasn't smoked salmon. After that, I had an Angus burger that was too thick, so it wasn't cooked in the middle, a bit sour on the burger, and a mountain of fries that were already cold. Then came dessert, a pastry case filled with sagging whipped cream, a bit of jam for flavor, and that was it. This is a good location for drinks, pleasantly busy, but not for eating. I'd go elsewhere.

A lovely café/restaurant with a very extensive drinks menu and a typical interior. Delicious cocktails, good food, and friendly staff who may well be selected for their Irish appearance.

The whole family had a great time there after winning a rugby match. We enjoyed a delicious Bax beer and a delicious chicken sandwich, and especially a generous snack platter.

Last visted November 2025 Good food, drinks, atmosphere,and service. The ribs are very good but don't leave it too late in the evening to order. Fish and chips.... the mushy peas are not really proper mushy teas (pitcure). This came with sweet potato fries and pickled onions.... odd....lol. The fish was nice though. Solo Traveller: The bar is large enough to eat and drink at the bar. If the area where the TV screens is open then i tend to sit at the bar to eat. Major plus point. One additional note: I've been here a number of times now and ordered the same dishes. The consistency/quaility was not always the same. Most of the time it's been great but they do let themselves down by not being consistent. So will never be 5 stars in my books.

From October, lunch is also served in this characteristic pub. Recommended.

Nice atmosphere and a beautiful location.

First visit to The Dublin House. After previously being an Irish pub. The reserved table turned out to be a high table; quite crammed together. But at the same time, with so many different people, it's also quite cozy. Due to the pub's layout, the staff had some difficulty reaching the table. But luckily, they were experienced enough. And thankfully, the waiter mentioned whether or not to have ice in the cider. That's unusual for us. And luckily, it was also possible without. One thing that stood out was that the Magners was a bit bland and not as sharp as the appley flavor; perhaps a keg that had been open for a while? The food was taken quickly and served fairly quickly. The pork ribs were good, but the Guinness stew was quite dry. Delicious! But with a stew, you definitely expect some moisture in the bowl. That was definitely a drawback. And that's where the service stopped a bit. They were busy setting up a screen for the pub quiz. And when our glasses were more than empty and the food was finished, we paid and went across the street to get another pint of Guinness. We'll definitely be back; but only when the bar is open.

I've had several good meals. Today, however, it was really bad. The first time, the chicken was pitch black and then raw. It had nothing to do with the type of meat; it was raw and not warm. It's a shame.

I'm currently enjoying my cocktail, and there's a blonde waitress who's very grumpy. She was serving table 213 and asked me why I looked happy in a very aggressive tone. A very strange situation. I'd like to be treated with more respect here on this beautiful terrace in the future. The drinks were delicious, and we had a wonderful evening.

Had a great whisky tasting, with a motivated, energetic expert who explained a lot and helped us choose which whiskies to try. Definitely recommended for intermediate connoisseurs who want to try something.

Such a nice place located in the centre of Zwolle. If you’re looking for a nice night out surrounded by a solid amount of people, this might be the place for you. With a wide variation of drinks and food you can enjoy your time right. We’ve had some sweet potato fries by our drinks and it was delicious. Good job The Dublin House 😎

We visited The Dublin House for the first time yesterday and were immediately impressed! The food, service, and ambiance are simply fantastic! We tried everything from the menu and were particularly impressed by the burgers and, of course, the cocktails. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is truly cozy and inviting, with a great view of the church across the street. It's just the right place to take a deep breath and enjoy the Zwolle atmosphere. The service was friendly, attentive, and had such an infectiously good mood that you couldn't help but smile. The latte was delicious – just the thing for a relaxing end to the day. In the summer, this is the place to be for a cozy terrace with an amazing cocktail. I've never had such good cocktails anywhere else. They make everything super fresh.

We had a fantastic evening here. Great atmosphere, good service, and delicious food. The decor and the cozy patio were a big plus. They also have a very wide selection of beer and whiskey. The icing on the cake was the best Irish coffee I've ever had. We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly waiters, there's sometimes live music, and the food (especially the fries!) was really good. It's very loud inside, but there's also a large terrace outside.

AVOID AVOID AVOID “This is not an Irish bar, we’re just coasting off the reputation of the old Irish bar.” This was the response I got when I asked if they were showing the all Ireland football. Staff are rude, look at you like you have two heads when you ask a question or even try to order, girl at the bar just mumbled and walked off. Guinness isn’t even that good there

The Veggie Beyond Burger was beyond disgusting. The name suggests it's the Beyond Meat Burger, but that's not the case. Even the slick of sauce couldn't disguise the fact that the "burger" was dry and tasteless. The fries were dark brown, meaning they were fried in old grease.

Spent a relaxed Sunday afternoon and evening here with friends, having drinks and dinner. From the moment we arrived, every staff member we interacted with was friendly, and genuinely helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Both the terrace and the interior are nicely set up, making this a cosy place to be. We were lucky to catch some live music on the terrace as well. The menu is creative and refreshingly different from your average restaurant offerings. The quality of the food was excellent and matched the great service. All in all, a wonderful spot to spend some quality time. I’ll be back.

We waited twenty minutes for someone to come to our terrace to order a beer, and by the time we'd finished ours, no one came back to us. An hour and one beer later, we finally asked for the bill, which thankfully only took ten minutes. The staff seemed to be having a very relaxed and pleasant evening, but simply not with the guests.

Ever since I found out that Dublin House also serves breakfast, I've been having breakfast there with my family every week! My favorite place for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a few pints of Guinness🍀

Great food with a real Irish pub atmosphere. The biggest recommendation is the beef stew, although the spare ribs and the pork chop were also very good. Lots of choice of cocktails

What once started as the absolute number 1 cafe in Zwolle, is now a community center for people who struggle with their ego or mental problems. In the beginning, young talents really got the chance to develop into absolute catering toppers. As a guest, you almost didn't want to go anywhere else. After a while, more and more of those toppers left because they obviously couldn't get past the big egos. You soon noticed that in the atmosphere and as a guest you were immediately treated less and strangely. For people who want value for their money that they have worked hard for, this is definitely not recommended!

Today we ate on the terrace and had a beer. Space card for both food and drinks. Nice beers, some different than usual. Food was fine but not special. Just good for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Busy cafe, friendly attentive service. Beer and food with 3 friends. There was still a table available until 8pm, which was fine, but reservations are recommended. Had a few different beers. The Guinness IPA is a tasty, blond and fresh beer. Fish and chips are recommended.

While we were eating a MOUSE crossed our feet. We were very comfortable until we saw it. It is unacceptable that there are rats in a restaurant, really. I told the guy who served us and he said that it was normal to see mice, but I insist, it is a restaurant.

Had shared snacks last February. I was in heaven. Delicious fries, chicken tenders with truffle fries and port. It couldn't be better!

Unfortunately a very bad experience. We had to wait a long time to order, after which again, after waiting quite some time, 1 drink was served and 10 minutes later my girlfriend's drink was served. The food also took quite some time to arrive but tasted good. No one asked if everything was OK and/or if we wanted something to drink. Ultimately, thirsty, I walked up to the waitress who was standing outside the cash register and ordered a drink, having to wait more than 20 minutes for 2 glasses of water. Food was gone, we had already paid and were going to the supermarket for a bottle of water. Around us there were many who had to wait a long time to order, for their food/drinks and unintentionally sat with empty glasses. Staff not unfriendly but not at all friendly either. Nice place to have a drink, nice and sunny in the afternoon when the weather is nice.

Whiskey tasting done. They have an enormous knowledge of whiskey and a wide range. Super friendly staff who take time for you. All in all we had a great evening.

Nice place to sit, everything is well organized here!

I unfortunately had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. Even though we had a reservation, we were given a bad seat at the back of the restaurant, next to a noisy group with children and a dog. It also took a very long time before we could order.

When a better spot became available, we asked the staff if we could sit there. This wasn't a problem, but to our surprise this spot was then given to people without a reservation. This was very frustrating and made for an unpleasant afternoon.

No cash accepted to pay make it difficult for tourists.

Ik had helaas een teleurstellende ervaring bij dit restaurant. Ondanks dat we een reservering hadden, kregen we een slechte plek achter in het restaurant, naast een luidruchtige groep met kinderen en een hond. Het duurde ook erg lang voordat we konden bestellen.

Toen er een betere plek vrijkwam, vroegen we het personeel of we daar konden gaan zitten. Dit was geen probleem, maar tot onze verbazing werd deze plek vervolgens aan mensen zonder reservering gegeven. Natuurlijk dit bij personeel gemeld maar die was niet van plan hier iets aan te doen. Nadat ik aangaf dat we dan liever ergens anders wilde gaan eten kreeg ik te horen dat we eerst de rekening moesten betalen, dit terwijl we nog niets gekregen hadden. Dit was zeer frustrerend en zorgde voor een onaangename middag.

Atmospheric, quick service and good food. Not so nice if you have been sitting for a while and a waitress suddenly drops a reserved plate on your table. The communication was in no uncertain terms. I think that can be done with more empathy and tact. Otherwise fine.

Beer and burgers That's all you need

Really busy on Fridays. Good for the pub of course, but not very relaxing for a beer after work.

I was having drinks with friends for someone's birthday. We were helped very nicely all evening by a girl (I think Suze) Very nice, asked several times at the table if everything was to your liking, big compliments. But at the end when it was apparently closing time which we didn't realize. Suddenly an English woman shouted at us that they were closed and that we had to leave immediately. This was not hospitable at all and could have been handled very differently, too bad... We had such a nice evening and then it ended with an unfriendly woman...
