Nice place, which has a slightly different (read: refreshing) vibe. Young and enthusiastic staff. Unique dishes, which are not only beautifully presented but also very tasty. Excellent cocktails, delicious wine and beautiful terrace. In short: nothing to complain about!

Nice tent and good food! Also very nice service! The downside was that a number of dishes on the menu were not available to order (such as the burrata and the only dessert on the menu). Pretty crazy for a Thursday evening at 6 p.m. Also little choice of drinks (no tea for example)

Een interessante/ eclectische menu. Definitely worth trying the Hotdoctopus! While we were eating a moving truck parked next to our table and started to unload furniture and boxes...made the dining experience not to pleasant (this was at 19.30 on a Saturday evening)

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere, top-notch service! A bit on the expensive side, but you get exceptional dishes that look beautiful and taste delicious. You can tell the chef has a passion for the food, as each plate is carefully prepared and presented with attention to detail. The staff is friendly and charming, serving the dishes with a smile. They provide good explanations and helpful advice when choosing from the unusual menu. In short, delicious, unique dishes in a pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic!

The service was good, people are nice and the food is prepared fast. The food on the other hand is sometimes to be improved. The Pisco Sour was not really done the right way, it came almost half glass as well. The ceviche was too spicy (I know it’s based each taste, but still..) the tuna was missing salt, and I had to ask for that and I got something I had to add by hand to be able to highlight the taste of the marrow. The fish burger arrived slightly cold and it looked “off” I am sure this will improve overtime

The service was good, people are nice and the food is prepared quite timely. The food on the other hand is sometimes off in taste. The ceviche was too spicy for what it was supposed to be; the tuna taco was not bad but we needed to add plenty of salt to highlight the taste of the marrow. The fish burger arrived slightly cold and the kimchi was a bit too spicy overall.

It’s just great! Honestly, one of the best places in Amsterdam. If you like ceviche or in general raw fish, you’ll love it!

Misleading reviews. Food is average, value for money is questionable. Beware, even if you book, there is almost no space inside - not for a relaxed dinner. Def not comparable to a few prominent Mexican fusion places in Amsterdam

Le spot est assez petit mais super cosy avec une trop bonne vibe. Parfait pour venir dîner et déguster leurs super cocktails ! J’ai adoré leurs plats très très gourmands et la fraîcheur du poisson. Une très bonne adresse à Amsterdam ! 🇬🇧 After discovering @sjefietshe’s cuisine, I tried out the street food kind of menu of their second restaurant @sjefietshealpaso. The spot is quite small but super cozy with super good vibes. Perfect to enjoy dinner there and try their great cocktails! I loved how everything was very tasty and the fish super fresh. Definitely a nice spot to save in Amsterdam!

Wat een leuke zaak! Top bediening, superlekkere kimchi garnalenburger, ceviche (met name de dorade), inktvis hotdog… Allemaal top en met liefde gemaakt en geserveerd. Absolute aanrader. De Marathonbuurt wordt steeds leuker.

Ok, this place is incredible – and I would love to give 10 stars! Best Tostada I ate in years, the pulpo is cooked to perfection and the radish a delight! The fishburger also 100/10. Can recommend everything we ate and I am already looking forward going back. Also super service and nice ambiente.

Hoog op het verlanglijstje vanwege de leuke kaart en mooie reviews. Het viel ons erg tegen. De pulpo was lauw, de visburger ook, gevraagd zonder kaas, opgediend met kaas, weer terug naar de keuken en binnen een minuut een ‘nieuwe’. De inktvisstrips waren wel erg lekker. Met 42€ niet per se goedkoop om thuis te komen met honger…

Super lekker eten en nog beteren bediening! Was ook super gezellig en het eten was ook heel lekker met het concept dat ze hebben.

Ontzettend genoten. Begin februari maar voelde alsof we in hoogseizoen Mexico waren. Heerlijke diverse visgerechten en hele aardige en spontane bediening. Aanwinst voor de buurt en amsterdam. Wij komen zeker terug

Six stars!!! food 10 / 10 Price 10 / 10 Service 10 / 10 Atmosphere 10 / 10 The best place in the neighborhood. The service at the highest level and the most delicious food. The atmosphere is an exact mix of Amsterdam New York and Mexico. We wanted to drink a small beer and chips and left with a bill of 100+ euros because every dish was delicious so we tried 7 dishes. Definitely the most fun and delicious evening I remember. I highly recommend the place. Thx guys 🙂

Leuke zaak, goed eten en exceptionele service! Ik raad de kimchi burger en de hotoctopus aan!

Je ziet het niet meteen liggen, maar als je dit hebt ontdekt ben je blij want het zijn FANTASTISCHE burgers. Heerlijke combinatie van smaken en verse vis. Hier kom ik zeker terug!

We komen graag bij Sjefietshe, maar Al Paso is ook écht een aanrader. Laagdrempelige, maar toch originele en echt lekkere gerechten. Fijn om af te halen, maar we komen ook zeker eens terug om aan daar te eten, want leuke sfeer en aardige mensen.

Goed eten, hele vriendelijke barman genaamd Ricky, wat een legende

I don't normally write reviews. But this place is truly a gem, the kimchi hamburger is just sublime. More than great. Bit spicy but very crunchy at the same time. Keep on going with this amazing quality. 12 out of 10. IMPRESSIVE.
