Smaak & Stijl in Galecop

Had a super fun afternoon. After reading a few reviews here, I was prepared for surly and unfriendly staff and bad food. But none of that! We had a fun party there, 30 people in a private room with live music and food that tasted really good. When we asked the staff questions, we were quickly provided with what we wanted. There was plenty of drink in stock, and when a bottle was empty, a new one was brought immediately :) Great afternoon!

We had a delicious lunch in a pleasant atmosphere.

To start with the good news, I think the atmosphere and appearance of your little restaurant look very nice and amazing. Nothing is missing here. But to move on to the bad: Last Sunday we had a baby shower at Smaak en Stijl. This was at our own request, not a specific offer they provide at Smaak en Stijl. We chose a high tea for dinner because it seemed appropriate for the baby shower; unfortunately, our experience was so bad that I am actually almost speechless. The high tea itself was incredibly meager: sandwiches with minimal fillings, only white bread with no variety, sausage rolls bought and cut into pieces, and the sweet treats were tasty but mostly store-bought rather than homemade. The food was literally placed on the table without any explanation of what the fillings were, even though there was a pregnant lady sitting there who cannot eat everything. We had to ask for extra boiled water instead of it being constantly refilled. One of the ladies had a lactose intolerance, and extra charges were applied for this, which I have never experienced before. Personally, I find this a ridiculous question. Additionally, I found the hostess downright rude in her demeanor. Also, when an employee dropped a tray of drinks in a personal accident, her reaction was downright shocking and inappropriate, especially since we were customers nearby. We arrived a little early to do some decorating, which was very nice, but the way we were addressed was really not customer-friendly. "What is your schedule, actually?" We said we are welcoming the lady for whom the baby shower is at 1:00 PM, so eating around 1:30 PM is fine. The response to this was, "Well, I hope that works out, because it is quite a busy time then." When we had a moment of rest and wanted to sit outside, we were told to take a seat somewhere else because a group of people was arriving. We did not see these people during the time we were there, so she could have simply let us sit down. I understood from our organizer that the email communication regarding the baby shower was also perceived as very unfriendly, even rude, and with an emphasis on unprofessional. During the baby shower itself, we were interrupted precisely at moments when someone was giving a speech or just sharing something, and even then, people talked in between without even asking if it was okay. It was clearly not appreciated that we were present there for the baby shower. Fortunately, we had a great time together, but none of us will ever return for a party, lunch, or dinner. Which is, of course, a terrible shame, as we all live in Nieuwegein and have attended multiple parties at Smaak en Stijl, and essentially had the same experience every time, speaking on behalf of many.

Had lunch at Smaak en Stijl this afternoon. Good service, and the lunch was good. It's a shame the menu was grubby with stains on it. They are loose sheets, so you have to print out new ones every day. That is the first impression.

The service was very poor and abrupt; coat not even off yet and "what would you like to drink?". Waited more than an hour for the order; they had forgotten about us.

The food was delicious! There were some large groups present, so it took a while for us to get our lunch. But it was absolutely delicious! The restaurant is easily accessible by car. There's free parking a two-minute walk away. There's also a large park. Many dog ​​owners stop by Smaak & Stijl for a meal.

Yesterday we had a high tea for a baby shower. The advertising on your website doesn't match what we received at all. The picture on your website looks like a completely different high tea. Where were the delicate petit fours? And the sandwiches? And the strawberries? Not something we'll be repeating.

Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing compared to the price and the quality you'd expect. Furthermore, the service wasn't very fast, and the owner/manager, in particular, didn't seem friendly. The location is fine, but with a little more attention to hospitality, the experience could be much better.

To my dismay, the coffee machine is gone and a vending machine has returned. Yes, it will probably take time and skill to install a plunger, but good coffee is essential. I'd be happy to park in the parking lot, but it's a muddy mess. So, yes, I want to park right in front of the door.

Had a delicious lunch. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff. It's good to know that parking isn't available right outside the door. It's not a long walk, but it might be a bit difficult if you have difficulty walking.

Google Maps will lead you astray. It's hidden in the sparse greenery... Nieuwegein has to offer. But if you find it, it's a gem in Nieuwegein. Ibiza-style interior. Restaurant and lounge areas. Super nice for the summer, of course, because they have a terrace. A nice alternative to stay in that holiday mood during the colder days. There's ample parking nearby. You'll receive a warm welcome. Dining tables, lounge areas, and a terrace. Friendly service. The menu isn't extensive, but what's on it is surprisingly delicious. Delicious lunch, beautiful presentation. You really have to try this place!!

Definitely worth a visit! Delicious food, friendly staff, and a beautiful location that makes you feel like you're on a relaxing beach. My dog ​​had a great time playing with another dog here :-D

The service & atmosphere is really great! Our food was not on the same level. I had the ceasar salad, the bacon had a layer solidified fat on the one side, the batter on the chicken was burnt, the egg white was partly uncooked & gooey, and all the dressing (which was a lot) was at the bottom of the bowl under all the food. So the top had nothing & the baby gems at the bottom were swimming in it. We will come back, but for a coffee.

Had a delicious lunch with the children and grandchildren. They had delicious lunch platters made, and everything was gluten-free. This is a lovely, quiet spot between the A2 highway, which you don't hear at all, and Galecop. It's next to a park, surrounded by nature. Thank you so much to the girls at Smaak en Stijl for the delicious lunch, and we'll be back soon.

What a fantastic spot. A lovely patio. The food was amazing. The lunch platter is highly recommended. It did take a while for the food to arrive, though.

I hope this place closes down soon. Service was zero. We wanted to have lunch there, but the waitstaff was busy chatting with another table. Stop the charade and stop it, or take a course on how the customer is always right. And those sarcastic remarks at the end, pffff, just like toddlers. So please close the place down quickly.

Mooie locatie Nieuwegein. Bijgebouw met buitenterras geweldig voor klein gezelschap. Italiaans lunch buffet voor 17 personen 30 euro pp is te duur voor wat je krijgt. Toetje 5.50 euro stelt niets voor 2 kleine bolletjes ijs half gesmolten met toefje slagroom. Dat is jammer, maar het ergste vonden wij de harde muziek, waar wij niet om gevraagd hebben en die niet zachter ging ondanks 2 keer vragen. De snibbige reacties van de eigenaar naar onze gasten op kleine vragen en gebeurtenissen onbeleefd en niet professioneel. Wij zullen Smaak en Stijl ondanks de mooie locatie in Nieuwegein, dus niet bij vrienden en bekenden aanbevelen.

Completely unsuitable for wheelchair users

Quiet and nice location. Parking is a short walk away. Some dishes seem to be well put together. But especially the friendliness of the staff and the peaceful view makes it pleasant to sit here.

Nice hidden away place with a good selection of drinks and food. Would recommend their goat cheese flamkuken! The concept store is a nice addition, I bought a top and a jumper on two separate occasions.

De koffie is niet echt lekker maar je betaald wel de hoofdprijs. Het stukje noga erbij is wel top. Een supermarkt pizza wordt wel eens opgewarmd, voorzien van wat extra's en duur verkocht. Prijzen zijn veel te hoog voor deze matige kwaliteit. Verder wel een hondvriendelijke plek voor honden baasjes met hond. Maar ze moesten eens wat minder krenterig zijn. Als de prijskwaliteit verhouding klopt krijg je vanzelf meer klanten. Bezuinigen op kwaliteit jaagt klanten weg.

Hey, this is a really cool spot! We were here recently for a drink and a snack. The staff is super friendly and there is plenty of choice in food and drinks. It is located just outside the built-up area, so you can easily have a party here. And you can also enjoy walking in the area.

Large outdoor terrace with lots of greenery and on the water. We were greeted outside by the friendly and sweet dog that apparently belongs to this restaurant.

Nice place! There is plenty to do and yes, you can also eat and drink there. Inside and outside. It was still too cold outside for us, so we will come back at least once, but there would already be a barbecue that afternoon! But there are also games, a table football game, you can buy sweaters and cardigans, all kinds of things! The menu is also great, we had a shelf (not a shelf!) with small portions of the hot menu, delicious! Friendly service too!

Smaak en Stijl is sinds kort ook open voor een diner op vrijdag tot en met zondag. Vandaag vrijdag 16 februari zijn we gaan dineren. Het is een gezellig restaurant. Het eten was heerlijk. Absoluut de moeite waard. Wij gaan vaker komen. Erg leuk waren de extraatjes zoals de amuse, het zoetje. Ook erg lekker

Heerlijk gegeten in dit knusse restaurant het nieuwe team heeft er duidelijk zin om de gasten te laten genieten.

We hebben smaak en stijl bezocht in het kader van een feestje. De locatie is goed bereikbaar en centraal gelegen. Hapjes en drankjes prima verzorgd. De serveersters verdienen een pluim.

Fijne plek in Galecop om ff wat te eten if drinken. Soort Nieuwegein on the beach gevoel, met uitzicht op het riet en water en je voetjes in het zand. De koffie is ook goed: 8,5.

Mooie locatie, aan de rand van Nieuwegein, vooral goed te bereiken per fiets, als een oase. Eten is prima, service was goed.

Wat een geweldige service. We hadden gereserveerd voor 13 personen om een 70e verjaardag te vieren. Op het laatst werd er een kleindochter opgenomen in het ziekenhuis, waardoor het voor ons niet door kon gaan. We hebben toen gevraagd of het mogelijk was om het eten af te halen, daarin dachten ze helemaal mee en dat was perfect voor elkaar. Zelfs aan kaarsjes en chocolaatjes bij de koffie was gedacht. Een ontzettend vriendelijke benadering zowel van de eigenaresse als van de koks. Een hele dikke pluim. Janneke en Joop Wempe

Geweldig mooie plek, met heel vriendelijk personeel.

Recent hier geluncht en op zich was de lunch prima en royaal behalve dat de mijne niet goed doorgekomen was in de keuken en vriendin al haar broodje voor zich had staan (werd overigens wel gevraagd of ze een nieuw broodje moesten maken maar "nee" gezegd omdat het maar 3 minuten zou duren). Prijzen lunch ook nog wel redelijk maar waar ik enorm van geschrokken ben, is dat er voor een glas verse gember thee EUR 4,20 gevraagd wordt! Een glas heet water met een stukje gember..... !!! Gewone thee trouwens maar een euro goedkoper.... De twee lunches waren samen 19 euro, de 6 (non-alcoholische) drankjes ruim 22 euro!!! Snap dat alles duurder wordt maar dit weerhoudt je toch van een spontaan bakkie op een ander moment. Personeel verder heel vriendelijk, niet iedereen even ervaren maar dat is niet erg, je moet het tenslotte ook leren! En het plekje is natuurlijk geweldig!

Een leuke tent op een locatie die je niet verwacht. Er zit eigenlijk veel potentie om er veel van te maken. Ik vind zelf de houten banken niet lekker zitten. Honden zijn welkom er staat water klaar. Service is er goed. Overal is personeels tekort dus wat langer wachten is van deze tijd. Ik vind de wijn erg prijzig voor een klein glas. Verder hadden we eten besteld dat netjes werd aangeven langer te duren. De nachos waren lekker.

Goed verzorgd, met veel aandacht voor gasten. Schoon en opgeruimd. Rustige omgeving. Voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

Gezellig, rustig, groen. Leuke bediening en lekkere lunch.

We waren met een grote groep buiten de werktijden om. Op zich was het eten goed bereid, maar er was véél te weinig gemaakt. Er werd ook niets bijgezet. Alles precies afgepast ; één satéstokje, schepje pasta , een hamburgertje, paar patatjes en paar stukjes stokbrood met knoflookspread . Eigenlijk voldoende voor een eerste gang. Helaas géén tweede gang , laat staan een derde gang...... We kregen 4 drinkmuntjes per man. Bleek dat een biertje 2 muntjes waren en een wijntje 3 muntjes. Dus al heel snel moest je muntjes bijkopen. Voor een groepsdiner is dit niet handig (vind het ook niet vriendelijk overkomen.... De bar juffrouw was overigens best wel vriendelijk. Maar ik denk dat wij hier niet een tweede keer komen dineren.....

Leuke gezellige plek, bediening mag echter wel wat vaker en sneller langskomen om drankjes te noteren.
