Soi3 in Rotterdam Centrum

Delicious food and authentic flavors. The 'snacks' were excellent. Gamba Satay with coriander sauce and chicken satay. We also had a chicken dish with rice. (Kai med mumuang) really delicious! Service nice and fast. And ice cold beer from Asia!

For over 10+ year SOI3 is the only Thai deli at the “ChinaTown” of Rotterdam better known as the Westkruiskade . The ordered dishes is what I expected : eatable and satisfying . Is it real traditional Thaifood like in Bangkok or Chiangmai? No , it’s adjusted to the “western” Dutch taste , or as I would call it “tourist” taste . But ! compared to other Thai deli’s in Rotterdam like Huahin or Siriporn or Casa Thai etc. , SOI3 is the most reasonable !

Eaten here in the restaurant more often and it was always fine. The last few times we had it delivered (over 70 minutes waiting time with the time option 'asap', but it was a Friday, so understandable), and we noticed that the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Very economical.. while it is really not cheap (almost 20,- per dish). At other restaurants you really get more value for your money. When we were watching TV later on the couch and both thought something like 'I'm actually still quite hungry...' we knew that we unfortunately won't be ordering here again anytime soon :( The food was okay, but not super special or anything..

Pros: the atmosphere was nice, service was friendly and the food was good. The price is average. Cons: everything is slow, so don't expect a quick meal. A place for slow dining you could say. The music was rather loud.

The food was good, not exceptional good but solid. The staff was very kind! However, only after we were done with food, the waiter told us we can’t pay with card. I think it’s very inconsiderate not to inform customers about it beforehand. It messed up the mood, especially because we were told it happened only todsy but I have found other reviews from weeks earlier saying the same thing happened.

The Thai food tastes very authentic and delicious, the vegetables are fresh and crispy, the portion sizes are good too. It's very casual and busy. There's not much space and alot of walking around because of delivery, so try sitting near the window in the front if you like a more intimate vibe. Will try in the summer when they have a terrace.

Service turned from weird to bad.. staff was blunt and inexperienced. They didn’t tell untill we tried to pay that their card system was broken. So had to walk 10 minutes to get cash. Did not get compensated in any way.

I ordered via Uber Eats, and it was an hour late. The dishes lacked flavor, the service was poor, and the staff was rude. I would never recommend eating or ordering from here, especially as someone raised in a Thai household.

Too bad - the food is tasty and I would definitely order more often, but the delivery people are absolutely horrible. Always late, rude and often no-shows or at the wrong address. Antisocial reactions if you say something about it. They can't do much about that at the restaurant, but it doesn't seem to matter much to them either. A shame about this place with great potential.

It is a nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Thai cuisine is known for its rich flavors, varied ingredients and the balance between five basic taste groups: sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy. Many Thai dishes are characterized by a harmonious balance of these flavors, in which fresh herbs and spices play an essential role. The stir-fry dish I received was very bland, so the difference between Dutch-Chinese or Vietnamese is not clear. So my tip is. Bring back the herbs and spices for customers who like authentic Thai cuisine.

The food is tasty, but not particularly special considering the price ratio for 1 meal you spend €20 per person and the portions are small so vegetables 2 small pieces of broccoli 🥦 and 2 small pieces of pepper 🫑 2 small pieces of mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 2 small pieces of corn 🌽 in a bowl with a little sauce and a little chicken and that was it!! this is just a scam!! I won't come again!! I will go a little further to Madame Jeanette, where you get a good portion of chicken with enough vegetables for €19!! Just a fair price for what you pay! This meal you're selling isn't worth more than $10, good luck cheating people. You have lost me as a customer. Bye

Waited 2 hours and fifteen minutes for a delivery. I think the service employee on the phone should look for another job. Please do not order here!

Serious? Wait 1.5 hours for order and then hang up the phone when I want to pick it up myself. A waste of my 89 euro order. My visitors went home hungry.

Food is not bad but certainly not special. Furthermore, it is not cheap, so in my opinion it is not good value for money. Service was very bad. It took 30-45 minutes before we were asked if we wanted something to drink. I had to speak to the waiter. After serving the drinks, we were not asked if we had already made choices for the food. I had to ask the waiter's attention for this again after 15-20 minutes. Then they forgot our order and we waited over an hour for our food. In short, poor communication and long waiting times. Location is nice but no reason for me to ever come back.

Food was reasonable, spring rolls were moderately filled, noodle soup was quite tasty, nasi was a bit soggy. We had to wait a long time and the payment also took a very long time, only cash was possible because apparently there had just been a malfunction. Very rude staff, got a derogatory comment out of nowhere while ordering. Also they got the order wrong and forgot about the dietary restriction, but that could slide if not for rudeness. Quite unfortunate, because the atmosphere seemed nice… there are other great Thai places in the center of Rotterdam, I recommend you choose them instead!

Home delivery order within 5km took 2.5 hours without any communication. When calling, they were told that it was 'very busy' without any form of (future) compensation. Never again.

Back in Rotterdam for school. On the recommendation of the staff of the Breitner hotel, we are going to eat here tonight. At first glance, this would not be a location I would have chosen myself. But very positively surprised during the meal. Delicious Thai food. Smooth and friendly service. Even though you might not be able to figure it out from the outside. Definitely worth eating there

Food is tasty, but not special. Staff is very rushed and inconsiderate, you have to wait a long time. They sat down extensively at other guests' tables, and we had to do our best to get attention. Even paying was difficult. A business conversation had to be completed first, 8 minutes! Then the card machine did not work and we were sent out to use the card. It was not possible to pay by card and we were then able to pay with a check. All very clumsy and customer unfriendly. This appears to be a known problem. Tip 1: use a mobile PIN device such as sumup, it always works and can also be done by telephone. Tip 2: if your staff does not come: close your terrace and stop home deliveries. Tip 3: don't blame the customer for your problems and respond openly and friendly when you receive feedback.

Quality seems to have deteriorated a lot recently. Always liked coming here. What really bothers me now is that they always have a pin problem at Soi3. I don't experience that anywhere else. Coincidentally, always only at Soi3. Nowadays I know better that if I go here I have to pay in cash in advance, but just arrange for it to be possible to pay by card. There is no ATM machine nearby, so it's best to send someone for a walk. So keep in mind that when you come to eat here, you should be prepared to bring cash.

Ordered online, the soup ordered specifically for a sick person was not included. Called and was told it be delivered in 20min, called again after 47min, was told it was to be delivered in 10min, no delivery and they stopped answering the phone! Worst service ever. Green curry was mediocre, rice was bulk cooked and tasted like it, shrimp was soggy on bottom. All in all! Not worth it!

Delicious food, and yet I will never come or order here again. It always takes quite a long time (1 hour), so take that into account. However, today after waiting 2 hours the order (which was not yet ready) was cancelled. Why take so many orders if you know you can't handle it, so you won't have any guests left, Shame!

Waited a total of 3 hours for my order to be delivered. Unfortunately I read the reviews about the poor delivery service too late, the food was fine, but it was the last time.

Soi 3 serves delicious food in a messy atmosphere. I like coming there, but things go wrong too often with dishes, spicy/not spicy, starters that come at the same time as the main course, etc. I keep coming for the food, but if you like structured service I would stay away.

The food is nice. When you eat there the service is top notch. But the delivery service is really not done. We order here often (including my husband and his colleagues during late evening shopping). 7 out of 10 times things go wrong; you say without pepper.. you get with pepper. Or you wait 2 hours for your order and it is delivered after the store closes. The solution? Order even earlier so that they receive the order WELL on time. But then your order is forgotten. Ordered 3 dishes last night, 1 was forgotten and 1 was delivered with chicken instead of beef. The store closed at 8 p.m. so my husband offered to pick up the food himself (instead of waiting outside in the cold in front of a closed store like last time). No compensation offered, nothing. When I call to complain that something has gone wrong for the umpteenth time, the lady on the phone says: 'Okay but what's the problem?' You really need to do something about the service because some of your employees have no knowledge of customer friendliness. Jeroen is a great guy, but every time 'sorry, it's very busy' is nice and nice, but that is not the solution. Your organization is a mess. I see so many bad reviews here and we have indicated several times that things are going so wrong, but apparently that is not enough to work on improvement. Shame. We don't care about the compensation, but please improve your delivery process! This is 10x nothing

Made a reservation online, which was confirmed. When I arrived the restaurant was closed (Sunday evening). Last time I was there I had the pomelo salad, afterwards the owner told me he used grapefruit instead because nobody noticed the difference. This was not indicated on the menu. Many medications can't be had with grapefruit, so quite dangerous.

Great place, the Thai restaurant has a less traditional decor and is sober. The service is nice but not very attentive. In itself just more than enough, perhaps a bit too spoiled...

No attention paid to you whatsoever. Finally someone stopped and asked if we could order. Waited an hour for our food and no food, eventually left without eating. From reading the other reviews, this is a known problem. Too bad the owner hasn't changed anything. Not recommended.

We ordered just a pad Thai and and a simple vegetable dish, we waited for 1 hour 20 minutes, and it took 30 min to have a beer… food was ok, but quite expensive for what is, seems that the kitchen is understaffed 3 women making food. It felt a chaotic vibe, When we finally got the food, the “boss” broke a glass behind the bar but because the tables are squeezed here and there, we got some glass pieces in our food…. The young waiter was nice, but the waitress was very unhelpful.

The food is amazing. Service is minus. At some point noone in the restaurant is eating, but the kitchen was very busy. They have a lot of active takeout orders but means the diners ate later. And this has been like this since 3-4 years ago. Average waiting time is 45 min.

Avoid this place. An absolute joke. Previously we received vegetarian food with meat in it, giving it another go - we ordered take away. 3 hours later the food hadn’t arrived, on calling a few times we were lied to. Take your order elsewhere.

Prima keuken en inrichting. De bediening vanavond was wat minder, na het opdienen even vragen of alles naar wens is, dat is toch les 1 van het serveren? En dan nog een keer bij het afrekenen, les 2. Twee mooie meiden (Thai, volle lippen, donkere kraalogen) maar hun oogopslag maakt duidelijk dat ze zich van het leven wat anders voorgesteld hadden dan rondbrengen van Tom Kha Kai.. Iets meer inzet en gastvrijheid dan heb je zelf ook meer lol in je werk!

We zaten buiten op een hele rustige doordeweekse dag. Ongeïnteresseerde bediening die je aanvankelijk gewoon negeerde. Bij eerste bestelling drank vergeten, het hoofdgerecht verkeerd opgenomen en geserveerd. Prijs van Singa biertjes exorbitant hoog (€5,50). Heel jammer want in het verleden zo vaak heerlijk gegeten en wel goede bediening. Hopelijk een slechte dag toen wij er waren.

Vieze tafels. Werden niet eens even schoongemaakt toen we er zaten, plakkerige tafels met de haren er nog op van de vorigen. Bediening was matig, duurde lang voordat ze de bestelling op kwam nemen. En er werd een verkeerd gerecht geserveerd. Eten was ok. Jammer dat de service niet zo goed is. Ik vond het er best prijzig. 3 Thaise biertjes voor €16,50

Erg lekker en leuke sfeer. Fijne muziek maar mag soms beetje zachter (als ik toch wat zeuren mag) voor de rest gewoon top.

Besteld bij Soi 3 om half 7, na 1.5 uur gebeld en toen kon er niet verteld worden hoe laat het dan wel aan zou komen, ruim 2 uur later gelukkig het eten in huis. Het was wel inmiddels wel allemaal koud aangekomen en het leek alsof ze de peper in de gerechten waren vergeten, de groene curry en laan waren echt niet spicy zoals normaal en miste ook veel groente. Maar na opwarmen was het wel gewoon weer zo lekker, Soi 3 is als een toxic relatie er is altijd wel iets mee en het duurt 3 x langer dan de indicatie maar je blijft terug komen jammie volgende keer weer bestellen! <3

We hadden gereserveerd voor 5 maar toen we aankwamen was er geen tafel meer voor ons beschikbaar omdat ze deze al aan een ander hadden gegeven. Vervolgens zijn we ongeveer 15 minuten met ze bezig geweest om een tafel te krijgen. Toen we zaten duurde het ongeveer 20 minuten voor we überhaupt een drankje konden bestellen. Het personeel is wel erg vriendelijk en het eten was gelukkig ook wel lekker. Het was ook erg warm binnen en het is niet echt een comfortabele plek om te eten. Ik zit liever niet aan een houten uitklaptafel op een oncomfortabele houten uitklapstoel. Wat me nog het meest verbaasde was dat ze niet eens servetten hebben maar er gewoon een bakje met een wc rol op tafel staat.
