I went there for my brothers birthday. They even gave us a little fountain with the dessert Lovely people

Not just the best pizza, but the best food I had in my vacation here yet. Super friendly staff. I decided I'd go again before I leave Amsterdam. It's a must.

The pizza was fantastic - perfectly cooked in the Neapolitano style. The crust was slightly charred, a bit crunchy, yet also chewy. The cheese melted perfectly, and the sauce and other toppings were in the right proportion. My favorite pizza in Amsterdam.

Delicious pizzas in a lovely atmosphere. The service was good. The tiramisu was also truly fantastic!

I come here for pizza occasionally. Delicious, good Italian pizzas. A very nice 17-year-old man serves: fast, friendly, helpful, and flexible. Highly recommended!

Refuse to give less than 4 starts because the pizza is genuinely great so I say this with love; but these people couldn't manage to get a hot or even warm pizza to your door even it was launched straight to your doorstep by rocket. No idea why or how but I consistently get cold, or at best luke warm pizzas delivered even with priority deliveries. Give your pies a love tap in a hot oven before boxing please, I beg of you.

Great food and great service! We had an antipasti platter and a pizza with prosciutto which were both very generous in ingredients. Pizza dough is excellent, thin, soft, fluffy and well seasoned! English speaking staff is very kind and very flexible. Willing to make me a sgroppino (that was not in the menu or a custom dessert for a child). We had a lovely experience.

The pizza was good, but the bottom and sides were noticeably burnt compared to usual. The ingredients seemed to be good quality. However, the dining area was quite noisy, making it a bit difficult to have a conversation.

Wow! Gem of a place. Service is wonderful, and the staff is very kind and welcoming. Some had the "white" (cheese) with ham, and we had the marinara sauce with fennel sausage and a little cheese... unanimously, pizza tastes fabulous either way!

Simple pizza restaurant with delicious pizzas. Thin crust and plenty of good cheese. Friendly waiter. Prices are reasonable, especially for Amsterdam. Everything is simply good. Nothing to complain about.

The dough was just perfect for my taste – soft, airy, and with a nice crust. Service was quick and to the point, no fuss, which I appreciate. I always judge an Italian place by the tiramisu… and this one nailed it. Solid spot – would definitely come back.

Super friendly service and a mega outstanding pizza!

One of the best pizza places I have EVER been to. The pizza was incredible but even better was the staff. The young man and woman who worked there as waiters were INCREDIBLY social and gave great service. I usually don’t tip but this time I really wanted to. But they didn’t even ask for a tip. Which just makes it even more impressive. So 5 stars across the board.

I visit this pizza restaurant regularly and it never disappoints! The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. The menu offers a very good choice of pizzas, with something to satisfy every taste-from classic favorites to more creative options. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make sure I have everything I need every time I visit. Overall, I highly recommend it!

In my opinion, Sotto is the best Italian, specifically Neapolitan, pizza place in Amsterdam. Their pizzas are outstanding, with the perfect balance of thinness, crispiness, and the freshest ingredients. The staff are always attentive, respectful, and accommodating, making every visit a smooth experience. I frequent both branches for personal gatherings as well as business dinners. I particularly recommend their star-shaped pizza, filled with feta cheese inside the crust, which is truly exceptional.

A lovely restaurant on the interior with very friendly staff. They did have gluten free bases, but I was a bit disappointed to pay €3.90 extra for a GF base that came out of a plastic wrapper. The base was quite hard to cut and didn’t feel worth the price.

I really like Sotto pizza! The only complaint goes against gluten free version. My husband ordered one for which we had to pay extra 4€. He is not super allergic to gluten just prefers to avoid. Considering extra payment we expected simialr quality as normal pizzas at Sotto. Unfortunately quality was very low. The dough seemed to be bought frozen and heat up. It gave the whole pizza Albert Hijn ready pizzas vibe when we paid for it over 20€. Plus the dough was very hard, dry and difficult to cut. If you dont offer good quality glutenfree alternatives, its better not to include it in the menu or at least mention it to customers during order placement.

The best pizza I’ve had in a while. Not only the pizza, but the dessert and wine were absolutely lovely. The staff were very kind, charming and attentive♥️

It’s an amazing place for Pizza and the dough is perfect. Not heavy and you sleep wonderfully after it!!

It was the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. It arrived cold, burnt, and with all the toppings thrown on poorly. The dough tasted like chewing gum. If you're going to accept orders after 10 PM, you should at least ensure good product quality because I just threw 50€ in the trash."

Tasty food, excellent service and very competitive prices!

I recently ate a Pizza Bianca at Sotto pizza. It tasted delicious. You notice that quality ingredients have been used. You can also taste that it has been prepared in a wood-fired oven. It is an authentic southern Italian pizza with delicious dough. Highly recommended!

We visited while on holiday and it was a great little find. Pizza and calzone are fantastic and authentic. Tasted fresh and was fast service. The panna cotta for dessert was fantastic and home made. Friendly staff and helpful. Unfortunately the menu wasn’t in English but with the Google chrome visual translate tool, it was easy to work out in seconds. Would recommend if you are visiting Amsterdam.

In short, just a dirty place. Glasses are dirty, tables are dirty, toilet is dirty, chairs and sofas are dirty. The staff is friendly, but the food has a nasty aftertaste because the restaurant is just dirty.

We were in a bit of a hurry and the pizza's were done very quickly. We didn't know if this was a good or bad sign but after that first bite ...... My wife thinks this is the best pizza she ever had. I am not sure I agree but it's definitely in my top three. The pizza is fantastic! Unfortunately I have no pictures

Normal pizza, quite good, the only drawback I can say is that in the extra margarita they don't cook the cherry tomato, quality and price quite good for what there is in Amsterdam, it's worth the walk

Best pizza restaurant in Amsterdam hands down.

On a journey to find the best pizza in Amsterdam, the path led me here. Came here at 5:30 pm on a Friday, made a reservation just in case but did not need it as there were only 2 other tables but you can tell it gets busy after. We ordered the Margherita, Margherita Extra and the Quattro Stagioni (Champignons, prosciutto cotto, salame, basilicum, Parmigiano Reggiano, Taggiasche olijven). The Margherita was solid but not the best in Amsterdam. As for the employees, very nice, the vibe was chill and the beer was great! Nice place to visit but the journey continues!

Really enjoyable meal - nice food & drinks, fast friendly service - thank you.

Only criticism would be the bell pepper.. they always put it in huge chunks instead of small pieces which I’m sure everyone prefers

Nice small pizza place, we thought the Margherita pizza was great, enjoyed a 4-cheese pizza also. Nice small informal setting. I'm laughing a bit about the availability of Lagunita's IPA, that's gotta be some form of American invasion. Service was fast and friendly.

We had a takeaway. One pizza was fine, not too bad, not amazing. The other pizza was terrible, it was undercooked and the sauce and vegetables made it soggy and wet, not crunchy at all. Overall the taste was kinda bland.

One of the best places to visit in Amsterdam

Voor het eerst maar ook direct voor het laatst hier Pizza gegeten. De pizza’s worden op houtskool bereid en dit is overduidelijk zichtbaar! Van de drie waren er twee heel erg verbrand en de bodems gewoon zwart geblakerd! Bij de de derde zijn de randen, de bovenkant en deels de onderkant verbrand! Ook bij andere klanten zag ik verbrande pizza’s, echt ongelofelijk. Ik verbaas mij werkelijk dat dit gewoon aan de klanten wordt geserveerd! DIT IS N.M.L. ZO SLECHT VOOR DE GEZONDHEID!

Heerlijke pizza’s, maar de portie Tiramisu mag bij bestellingen via Uber Eats echt wel wat groter voor die prijs. Zo’n klein stukje is echt wel een teleurstelling; dan kun je beter de prijs wat aanpassen of een grotere portie meegeven.

Great pizzeria if you like wood-fired pizza. I had the Verdure pizza and my husband had the Romana pizza. We both had Affogato for dessert. We received a good welcome - the restaurant was clean and comfortable and the service was friendly and efficient. There was a good atmosphere.

I went on a Monday night and it was fairly quiet. However the pizzas were amazing. They were of a neopolitan style, delicious sauce and not too much cheese, so it ticked all my boxes. Lovely staff too!

Meh. I think I've had better Italian pizzas. The sauce was very liquidy and bland. Felt more like a 6 euro pizza. The cheese was quite good. And there were raw cut up tomatos as toppings. Not sure how normal that is.

I know Covid times are hard times for everyone. And of course having a pizza delivered is not the same as eating it at the restaurant. But the quality of this pizza is way below acceptable. In that street you can find some other places with much higher quality.

Pizza was good however ordered a prosciutto pizza but received one with simple ham instead. Not sure if this was a mistake or the restaurants version of a prosciutto pizza.

The pizza is OK but not great. Not a real pizza napoletana. The burrata is small and the presentation is really average-low. The waiters are not super friendly.

As someone who lives in Italy, this is the best napolitan pizza I’ve had in the Netherlands by far!! The staff is super friendly and helpful in case you have questions, and service is timely. Great overall, highly recommend to pizza lovers willing to spend a bit more for a quality product!

We had to walk for almost an hour to get here from Jordaan (could have taken the tram quite easily however). It was well worth it. The pizza was excellent and there was a warm atmosphere with friendly young staff). The burrata and green salad were also delicious. It was too expensive either. Worth getting out of the centre of Amsterdam for.
