Way to expensive for what you get, and the worst part is it isnt even tasty. You're honestly better off going to the McDonald's around the corner

Food was good but the meat-bread-ratio was off

Ordered food through Uber Eats. It was refrigerator cold upon arrival. Uber Eats is unreachable, the butcher is unreachable. The food might be good, but definitely don't order it for home delivery because it won't be good. I don't think this is the first time this has happened. Just long enough ago to forget...

I used to order from the Butcher via UberEats and really loved the crazy chick burger. However, I was disappointed when I visited them offline. The bun was not fresh, the onions in the burger were over-fried, the fries were not tasty at all (in Amsterdam, of all cities!) and the choice of drinks was very limited.

Terrible smell, basically you sit inside a kitchen burning fat all the time. Better go to the other locations

Very disappointing burger experience. Even though it was prepared fresh right in front of me, the beef patty contained several small bits of gristle — a clear sign of low-quality meat. The bun was also far too dry, which made the whole thing unpleasant to eat. On the positive side, the lettuce was fresh and the sauces were nicely made, but overall the poor quality of the meat really overshadowed everything else. I came here because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, I can’t share the same enthusiasm.

Came for the high rating but that seems to have been carried over from a pizza joint that's no longer here. On a quiet weekday afternoon, we received a simple and tasty burger for a fair price. Not sure if it qualified as "smash". It honestly tasted and looked like a big Mac but from way better ingredients.

The burgers are way too small, I could eat 3 of them easily. It would be nice to serve some napkin on the side.

Ordered by Uber for pick up. I guess no one does that in Amsterdam as I was mistaken as a delivery guy (in their defence it was raining and I was wearing my black rain jacket and I had a laptop backpack). Anyways, I arrived and I told them first thing Im here to pick up this order for “my name”, they told me I arrived too fast and the order is still being prepared (my app said it was ready for pickup). The guy was a little bit rude and unfriendly but the lady working there was super nice and friendly. After waiting for 5-8 minutes, they gave me an order in a paper bag that has been stapled. The bag looked bigger than I expected so I opened it so I can check and to reorganise it in my backpack. The guy started mildly arguing with me why I did that. They thought I was a delivery guy opening an order for someone else. In that moment after some back and forth we all realised I was in the wrong branch, and I had to go to the other branch down the road 500 meters away. They were dealing with only that sole order. I declared what name I was picking up from. And yet I almost walked away with someone else order because I looked like a delivery guy. The funny thing I also had the same lack of checks in the other branch and I could have picked any order. I guess no one checks in Amsterdam if you look like a delivery guy.

I paid, they said I didn’t, the transaction went through as I look on my bank account but she refused to serve me and said it didn’t. 34€ gone and no food.

Oh my god that burger was so good im leaving a review while im still in the resteraunt, 10/10 would eat again definitely a must try when on top form. Highly recommended

The burger was exactly what I wanted

Very atmospheric place, as if forged from metal. Delicious food and a pleasant smell in the establishment, despite the fact that the kitchen is open and the food is made right under your nose. The burgers were delicious, juicy and like a table in your mouth. There are options for vegans, which is also a big plus. The products are fresh and will keep you full for a long time during the day. We were served by a nice lady, friendly and kind, helped with problems at the cash register. It is worth going in

Quite disappointed by this smashed version of their burgers, considering the Original Butcher burgers are some of the best in Amsterdam. And don’t get me wrong, I normally enjoy smashed burgers a lot. These burgers were way too greasy, had too much mayo and lost that flame grilled taste they do so nicely. Not terrible but disappointing. I recommend walking an extra 5 minutes and going to their location on the Albert Cuypstraat market.

I got food poisoning on my birthday from this restaurant. The food was also stone cold. Do NOT reccomend. Burger also bland and flavourless. Fries were soggy. A sad excuse for a meal

High expectations because the regular burgers from The Butcher are very good. I previously tried the Smash burgers at their regular place and they were okay, so I expected them to make a better version here with a separate Smash Burger place, but unfortunately. First of all, the burger patties are far from 'smashed'. Rather lightly pressed because it had no crispy crust at all like a Smashburger patty should have. The brioche buns were also very mediocre and too soft. It didn't seem roasted either. The only bright spot were the sweet potato fries, these were tasty like at their regular Butcher place. The price for the burger itself and the option to choose extra patties is also affordable. Unfortunately, The Butcher Smashed Burger is far down on my list of good Smash burgers in Amsterdam...

The name of the place carries more weight than the actual taste of the burger. For the price tag on the burger, the meat was lacking taste, and the ingredients were scarce, they should have something more inside by default not as a payed add-on. There are better smash burgers in town in the same price range. Fries were normal, nothing special. The ordering screen is not user friendly at all. No waiting time tho. I prefer the main branch much more.

Waited over an hour and a half for my order — food never arrived. Tried calling multiple times, but no one picked up. Completely unresponsive and unprofessional. If you’re hungry, do yourself a favor and order from literally anywhere else. Terrible service, zero accountability. I won’t be ordering from here again.

Okay-ish burger. They tag the name of The Butcher and that set the expectations higher than they can deliver. Tips for improvement: 1) when you come back from a cigarette break, wear gloves or at least wash your hands before you touch the lettuce and pickles. 2) It is called smash burger because you smash it or weight it down to have more surface area. The burger was more boiled than grilled. There was a weight right next to you, use it. 3) you got lids to put over the burger to melt the cheese. Use them! despite using American cheese, the cheese on the burger was still cold and solid. 4) give me a fresh bun, instead of an old crunchy one which you found on the grill. It was lying there before I ordered. As for the atmosphere, it feels more welcoming if the staff takes a break separately instead of both being out at the same time. There are better options available in the Pijp at this price point.

Ordered from the butcher smashed burger, was still warm! Burger very disappointing, found it close to a mcd taste profile because of the too sweet bun, standard burger sauce and too dry meat (not crispy either), too bad! Good chicken tenders though

Amazing staff. Burgers could be a bit juicer.

The atmosphere inside is not inviting, with stainless steel stools and tables, combined with loud music and an order screen on which you have to place your order. No response to a greeting. But the most important are of course the citizens. The burgers are (very) tasty, but not smash burgers. They are ready-made patties that are removed from a piece of paper and placed on the plate, there is no "smash" involved and the burgers therefore do not have the crispy caramelized taste that is characteristic of smash burgers. Still striking for a restaurant that only nominally focuses on smash burgers. The spicy chipotle mayo is highly recommended.

The best pizza we have had in a long time, we arrived super late at night in Amsterdam and the girl and the boy who served us were very friendly, the quality of the products and the size of the pizza is exceptional!!

New York-style pizza. Small casual place, you can have a seat and get some pizza by slice or order a whole pie with customizable toppings. They are generous with toppings and cover their crust edge with sesame, which is a nice touch!

Dry pizza sticks, expensive, mediocre pizza and annoyed employees. Oh well

I have visited Toni Loco twice ordering two slices of cheese pizza each time. The crust is not too hard nor too soft and the pizza slice is full of flavor. You can tell the best ingredients are used. It’s a friendly place to eat in with nice music and lighting.

The pizza itself was decent (WARNING: not a suitable place for Italians!!!!! YOU WILL GET DISAPPOINTED AS USUAL!) if you're foreign, I guess it's not bad. The price is reasonable, around 5€ for one slice. The most annoying thing were the staff, frown faces, not a smile, not a hello or even didn't answer to Bye, they just looked bothered that we were there and hoped we'd leave soon. PS. NO VEGAN OPTION AT ALL. NOTHING! Not recommended 👎🏼

26€ für eine Pizza (Bianco mit Mozzarella und Feta) ? Ich war vor zwei Jahren bei diese Pizzeria in Magna Plaza, heute war ich wieder in Magna Plaza und da Ihr dort nicht mehr seid habe euch extra in Google gesucht weil eure Pizza hat mir damals sehr sehr geschmeckt, heute leider sieht es ganz anders aus, also: Qualität ist deutlich billiger geworden, ich will nicht sagen schlechter weil man merkt wirklich die billige Zutaten, also wirklich nichts besonderes und für den Preis einfach nichts, würde für so eine Pizza maximal 12-14€ bezahlen. Service war gut, personal sehr freundlich aber beim Pizza Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt einfach nicht. Vor zwei Jahre war viel besser, denkt einfach an euere Preise, mann fühlt sich einfach verarscht und das darf nicht sein. Weiterhin wünsche euch Viel Erfolg!

De pizza’s waren overheerlijk, dunne bodem en een heerlijke krokante rand met sesam! Mijn zoon die een pizzaliefhebber is zei: dit is de lekkerste pizza ooit! En hij is heel kieskeurig. Het personeel was heel klantvriendelijk, geduldig en geïnteresseerd. We kregen voor de kinderen kleine verschillende pizzastukjes om uit te proberen. Zo aardig! Onze pizza’s en de bestellingen werden zeer snel bereid. En nadat we klaar waren kregen we nog een brownie mee. Top service! We gaan hier zeker vaker voor terug komen ook al komen we helemaal uit Rotterdam. :)

Unos amigos me recomendaron a Toni Loco, pero tuve una experiencia terrible. Pedí pizza y después de dos veces me dijeron que no podía hacerlo porque había un problema con el ove. Así que no pude comer y había una persona italiana realmente grosera. Hizo un trabajo terrible y luego me hizo preguntas sobre mi privacidad. ¿Cómo pudo hacerme esa pregunta después de un servicio terrible? Nunca más

Pizza à la part, très bonne, pâte fine et sauce tomate bien cuite. Néanmoins, je déplore peu de choix...dommage.
