Tasty food and very friendly service. The variety of options is impressive and everything we had was very flavourful. As this was our first time we needed a little guidance from the staff which they happily provided. Soups come in varying sizes and vegetables are sold by weight. We’ll be back again to try more options.

What an awesome place: friendly staff and delicious, healthy soups and salads. Perfect for when you've been stuffing in too many sweet treats 🙂. Not fine dining, but a great place to grab some healthy soul food at the end of a busy day.

Nice place, good food! a bit expensive, though. Options change every few days. Nice for a one-time quick lunch in Amsterdam. Salad is great, good products, but again, expensive. Two people, 30 euros.

We had the tuskany tomato, the african lentil and the marrokkanese chickpea soup and it was delicious :) 10/10 would recommend

Everything fantastic. I tried three options: Thai lentil soup, red lentil dahl, and a delicious chicken curry soup. Everything was delicious! In addition to the exceptional flavors, the service was impeccable; Nina treated us with great kindness and attention. Without a doubt, an excellent option for those looking for healthy, warm and homemade food in the city🥰

Found the soup to be average. Vibe is pretentious and snooty, but guess it’s as expected for this part of Amsterdam.

The atmosphere of the place is not encouraging - we received the soup cold, the staff warmed it up at our request, the soup was ok, but nothing special.

ULove this place. It’s very rare to find a place where you can eat good organic food. You can see a lot of attention goes into the sourcing of fresh ingredients. The staff is friendly, the soups and salads are delicious. Edit on the 7th of October : is the spinach soup coming back? We all miss it and we’d love to see it back.

Want some veggies while in Amsterdam - and at a reasonable price? Soup En Zo is the place to go. They have multiple locations downtown and near Museumplein. Delicious soups (many Vegan or Vegetarian), salads and small specials (e.g. mini-quiche). Highly recommend it for lunch.

We stopped at this place without really knowing what to eat. Pleasantly welcomed and surprised by staff and food. Courtesy and taste accompanied us during the lunch break. Possibility to eat healthy and fresh tasty things. From salads to soups. And the bread was really delicious too. Congratulations to the guys and the management. We need more places like this.

Fantastic healthy food option near Vondelpark & Amsterdam Zuid. After many days of bread, frites and meat while traveling, my husband and I were craving healthy food and this place was perfect. I had a delicious sweet potato soup with coconut and my husband had a mushroom soup and we also split a large mixed salad made of lentils, broccoli, hummus and eggplant. Highly recommend to any tourist who is craving a healthy and tasty casual food option!

Tasty soup. Lots of vegan options. Not expensive. For coffee better go to the cafe next door. I was told there was no toilet I could use.

Wonderful restaurant with great healthy options: soup in 3 different sizes, as same as salads and cheese bread sticks. Jars of water are free. The service is super kind and welcoming 🙂

Charming corner spot with delicious soups and salads for in-house dining or take away. I had a wonderful Surinam coconut and chicken soup and a lovely salad of couscous, tomatoes, and broccoli with homemade hummus and fresh bread. A great deal, quick in and out, and friendly staff.

I went here to grab a quick salad. While I was waiting to be helped, 2 ladies behind the counter were chatting. One was kind to help me but the other one went to the salad bar, picked some vegetables with her hand (without gloves) and walked away to have her lunch. When I made a comment about this to the girl who was helping me, she mentioned that her colleague works there and is allowed to eat from the salad bar. My point was obviously about hygiene which she didn’t understand.

The goulash soup was amazing, slightly sour and the meat was delicate and tender. I would like to try other variations in the future.All the Best

The soups are really basic and unfortunately the salads remind me more of antipasti. I wish it was a bit more of what the name suggests. Either a proper focus on a soup soup or on the salads but I felt like having none of both worlds there.

Very tasteful soups and a cute atmosphere. Staff was very kind and they offered us free tasting before ordering, There are mostly vegan meals, but there are some meat options.

If I could give zero stars I would. Came for some “Holland Chicken Soup” which was basically a bowl of hot water and some shredded chicken. 14,40 euros for two tiny “medium” bowls with an ‘ambience’ that is seriously lackluster and by that I mean the service was so preoccupied with themselves and a friend that was talking so loudly it could be considered screaming about her sex life. I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. Two summer’s ago this place was great. Not anymore. You’ll leave hungry and feeling robbed.

We come often and really love the soups. Many great vegan options, hearty and tasty - it’s just an amazing experience. Mostly great service, sometimes average, never bad. Unfortunately the serving sizes are shrinking. And not by accident, I was told that this is an instruction by management. I feels so bad when you get the bowl with so little soup - takes away from the experience. Raise the price if you have to, but this is so frustrating. Oh, and smaller bowls is NOT the way to go !

I rarely give bad critics. Mainly bad behavior is untolerable and ruins the effort of the owner. The guy serving the soup was having a terrible attitude towards us during the whole visit... he even cleaned all tables leaving only our dishes. No reason for more details. If you want to discriminate your customers please write so on the entrance. Loose the attitude...you waste too much energy. Soup was great by the way!

I’m from Australia and have just travelled all through Europe and the US, there is no better soup you’ll have than right here. I’ll always be back here when I am back in Amsterdam.

It was an incredible dinner with my family. we ordered two Thai soups (soup of the day) and one chicken broth. we also tried chickpea salad, cabbage salad, hummus, and yellow beets. We really liked all the dishes and I have never eaten such delicious Thai soup anywhere! I highly recommend trying this!

When traveling, managing one's diet can be challenging especially if reliant on restaurant meals. So finding Soup En Zo provided an opportunity for a refreshing reset. There is soup, yes, but there is also this very appealing salad bar composed of multiple mini dishes of interestingly prepared vegetables like sautéed aubergine, or a marinated raw fennel salad. It is easy to put together a "gourmet" combination of simple dishes and also easy if vegetarian or vegan is the style. Plenty of options. We were appreciative of having this option at the end of a 3 week visit to Europe! (Also there is a good coffee/espresso shop next door).

Dopo una serie di hamburger, giapponesi, Indiani, pizzerie improbabili e pesantezze varie, ci siamo imbattuti in questo locale, molto particolare, non ha una identità etnica particolare, ma allo stesso tempo le abbraccia tutte e le zuppe in particolare oltre che veramente buone ci hanno permesso di sfamarci con gusto e leggerezza, complimenti alla gestione e al ragazzo che ci ha accolti, eravamo con il nostro cane al quale ha dato un biscottino (per cani) che ha gradito con entusiasmo. I prezzi sono ottimi e lo consiglio a chi vuole uscire un po’ dalla ristorazione turistica ordinaria, questo Soup en Zo è fantastico.

De smaken kloppen bij de uitvoering gaat het mis :" de Surinaamse erwtensoep, helaas waren de linzen niet gaat deze hadden nog zeker 20 minuten langer mogen koken. Van de Indische kippensoep heb je wat langer plezier maar dan op de wc. Gezegd hebbende de smaken kloppen. Jammer

It was a small place, almost claustrophobic, with jars of pickled vegetables lining the shelves and a single wooden table in the center. I approached the counter, where a thin, bespectacled man with a neatly trimmed beard greeted me with a faint smile. He wore a stained apron and a weary expression that hinted at long hours and sleepless nights. "What can I get for you?" he asked, his voice a low murmur that barely rose above a whisper. I hesitated for a moment, scanning the menu board behind him. There were soups and salads of all kinds, each with its own tantalizing description. I finally settled on a hearty vegetable soup, with chunks of tender potatoes and carrots floating in a rich broth. The man nodded and disappeared into the back room. I could hear the clatter of pots and pans, the sizzle of frying vegetables. A few minutes later, he emerged with a steaming bowl of soup, garnished with a sprig of fresh parsley. As I took my first sip, a chill ran down my spine. It was delicious, yes, but there was something ominous about it, as if the soup itself held a dark secret. I couldn't help but wonder what ingredients had gone into it, what arcane knowledge had been employed to make it so bewitching. I finished my meal in silence, lost in thought. The man behind the counter watched me with a curious expression, as if he knew what was going through my mind. As I paid for my meal and left the shop, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had just tasted something forbidden, something that should not exist in this world. I don't know if I will ever return to that little shop, with its eerie atmosphere and its unsettlingly delicious soups and salads. But I will always remember the experience, as a glimpse into a hidden world of mystery and intrigue, where even the humblest of meals can hold secrets beyond imagining

De los 4 años impares que vivimos en Ámsterdam, frecuentamos esta Soup en Zo todos los sábados para nuestra sopa - brunch de ensaladas, ya que estaba tan cerca de nuestra casa y ¡una forma tan saludable de comenzar el fin de semana!
