Delicious as always, been coming here on and off for 30 years

These are arguably the best spareribs in the world. The meal is served as an all-you-can-eat option.

You have to give a star to be able to post the review, but you won't see me here again, I'm not going to waste too many words on it because it's dirty enough there

Vooraf garnalenkroketjes met nauwelijks smaak, de spareribs ( hun specialiteit) een enorme lap vlees, maar jammer genoeg een beetje aan de taaie kant. Het restaurant en de eigenares komen een beetje volks over, leuk als je ervan houdt, voor ons hoeft dat niet zo. Nadeel is dat de tafeltjes hutje/mutje staan, gelukkig was het niet druk, maar anders heb je weinig privacy. De bediening was vriendelijk en adequaat.

In our opinion, the best spareribs in the world. The ribs are top quality. Pure meat, and so well prepared, in a ketjap marinade, that they fall off the bone, wonderfully tender. Fantastic!

The place still keeps the same cozy and dark atmosphere as always. The owner is an excellent person who takes care of everything. I noticed the quality of the ribs have dropped somehow. Probably they need a new supplier or chef.

This is the place to come if you really want to try spareribs. You can eat as much as your body is able to tolerate because your yummy Will keep on saying one more ribs. They also have a good variety of beers. If you earn the owner's trust, she can tell you amazing stories of the past in Tollebol. I came here 5 years ago and I plan to come back every single time I visit Terneuzen.

Ordered chicken satay. Were loose pieces of meat that still had bone in them. Satay sauce not tasty. 2 pieces of prawn crackers, small pieces of canned pineapple and something that passed for egg and did not look very appetizing were served with it. Cappuccino had a cleaning agent taste to it. And nothing on the menu for children. Half a spare rib was the option, which also cost €13.50!!! The only thing there was for my grandson was a coloring book.... The first time was also the last time👎

I was there in 2018, for work, spent about three months, from May to August. I dined there almost every evening, sometimes, when it was full, kindly hosted at the owner's table. Always eaten well, and felt like family. The sole with butter is also good.

Spareribs einfach der Knaller. Das Tollebol war ein wirklich guter Tipp. Rundrum zufrieden und satt. Ambiente wirklich gemütlich.

Stranded in this cozy restaurant during a few days in Zeeland / visiting family. What a warm welcome! Ate delicious spare ribs and steak, compliments to the kitchen. The price is a bit more expensive, but you also get a large piece of spare rib on your plate. Had the best spare ribs here so far. Nice and friendly owner, Trudy, you are great! Not a very large restaurant, but therefore very cozy and intimate. Witty staff who like humor (and so do we). Delicious spareribs, the homemade tapenades are delicious. Fries come in a separate cup/container. Unfortunately too many ice crystals in the ice.

Delicious food, large portions of spare ribs and delicious pork tenderloin with pepper sauce. Very sweet friendly owners and chef.

Inconspicuous from the outside, service courteous, attentive and competent. Spareribs juicy, spicy and cooked to perfection. Delicious dips with bread and fries. If you're really hungry, you can even have a second helping. A real tip.

De Tollebol was recommended to us because we asked our hosts where we could eat. I can only pass on the recommendation. The food was very tasty. We had the Sparribs and Surf&Turf and loved them. The spare ribs were really tasty and tender, in a great marinade. The Surf&Turf with shrimp and lamb chops also tasted good. We were very happy with the food and the attentive service. We would be happy to come back. We were there around 4 p.m., so we got a table without reserving beforehand because there was nothing going on yet. We definitely recommend booking a table for dinner, as the restaurant doesn't have many seats.

One of the more memorable dinners of my life. Showed up to a packed restaurant and the owner asked us if we wanted to sit with her. We had a wonderful conversation on the history of the place and heard her great stories. She bought us Trudy special coffees and heard my wife was pregnant and sent some ribs home with me for her. Wonderful lady. Wonderful place. Wonderful servers. Wonderful food, I told her it brought me home to Canada and my moms ribs. Won’t forget this place or lady.

Always tasty spareribs and top service

Cozy and cozy restaurant. Friendly and fast service. Spare ribs are excellent: wonderfully marinated and the meat falls right off the bone. Highly recommended if you like spareribs. There is also plenty of other choice.

Lovely racks of ribs, almost over generous portions. The owners were very friendly, and I am glad I revisited after six years. My only tiny negative was that the sauce could have been hotter.

The small salad that came with it was definitely fresh and a normal side salad. The fries were crispy and delicious. If you wanted, you could even have a second helping of the spare ribs at no extra charge. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and the service was also very friendly and accommodating. The portion was enough for me and I'll be happy to come back when I'm in Zeeland.

Upon entering we were warmly welcomed as if you were there every day. Staff and owner are super friendly and helpful. Food is served shortly after the 1st drink. The spareribs were well stocked with meat that fell off the bone like butter. The atmosphere is excellent and very pleasant. Recommended.

Klein eetcafe met een zeer gezellig interieur. Een echte aanrader zijn hun ribbetjes. Toffe eigenares (recht voor de raap) & ik raad je aan om te reserveren op voorhand.

You sit very closely at the tables. Service is friendly. Food is delivered to the guest very quickly. So something is already there. And the salad should be taken out of the refrigerator before serving. What I find most outrageous are the prices. Oh yes, and because it says 0.0% on the bottle, it doesn't mean it's a shandy.

Eating at Tollebol would be a true taste experience if you eat spareribs there... Well, that was a bit disappointing. The spare ribs were dry, not tender and not well marinated as stated. Not a second time for me to eat spareribs there.

A must visit for me anytime I am in the area. Delicious ribs and the host Ms Trudy is very welcoming and friendly. Love the ribs!

We were a group of 14. We were received very hospitably. The food was great, both the spare ribs and the steak, satay and pork tenderloin. The staff was great and Trudy, well, what can we say about that, she simply gave us a great night out. Thank you Trudy and team, it was great and maybe see you next year when we come to Terneuzen again for a weekend. Because then we will definitely eat at Tollebol again.

Normally I really like it, but tonight it wasn't, they were dry, black and a lot of fat, which is a shame

Nunca jamás había probado unas costillas como estas. Estuve hace 3 años y ha sido el primer lugar al que he vuelto al llegar de nuevo a Terneuzen. No han perdido el sabor ni la ternura de la carne que sirven (el precio de las 2 costillas sí ha subido, pero merece la pena). Realmente ESPECTACULAR. Sin duda alguno un restaurante de referencia en Terneuzen al que siempre da gusto volver.

A pleasant surprise. I had never been here before and always went to Amadeus for ribs. Where the Amadeus is very commercial, here you can enjoy friendly service and delicious ribs! You spontaneously become in a good mood.

The nicest cook in the Netherlands with spare ribs that you won't get so deliciously prepared on your plate anywhere else. If you don't like them, she sometimes has some other dishes in her living room café, such as spaghetti or a steak, etc. Just do it and you will definitely come back.
