STACH food in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

I've been craving strong coffee all day, and I found it here. I recommend it.

One of the best dessert finds in Utrecht! Emma was very helpful and accommodating. I’ll def go back here when we visit Netherlands again.

I do not recommend hoija latte.

Got some delicious sandwiches! The only downside: it's such a long walk back if you want to get another one. 😄

I went to Amsterdam and liked it enough to go back. The sandwich I ordered was amazing, and the coffee, despite being the smallest size, was a pleasant surprise, although, like everywhere else in the Netherlands, it's incredibly expensive.

My experience at this establishment was unfortunately very disappointing. I ordered a matcha and a special electrolyte drink. From the moment I ordered, the employee's attitude stood out. I found her unfriendly and felt that I was not really welcome. Customer friendliness is one of the most important aspects of a hospitality establishment to me, but unfortunately, I saw very little of that here. During my visit, an acquaintance of the employee came in. Because her mother needed something, she was given it without having to pay. I do not know if there was a good reason for this, but as a customer, it came across as very strange and unprofessional. The quality of the drinks was also disappointing. In my opinion, the matcha was not tasty and did not taste at all like what you would expect from a good matcha. Additionally, so much ice had melted that the drink was watery before I even had it in my hands. All in all, this was not a pleasant experience for me. The combination of the unfriendly service, the unprofessional impression, and the disappointing quality of the drinks means that I will not be returning here anytime soon. I hope the business starts paying more attention to customer service and product quality, because unfortunately, at the moment, I cannot recommend this place.

Cozy atmosphere. Check out the seats on the second floor with a view. If you order freshly made sandwhiches, do eat them in the shop. They are too stuffed to eat while walking. Struggles with larger orders and queues.

Such a good place to hang out or have a little date. Love their hot chai!

Nice staff, pastries, coffee, tea and other

STACH itself and the products are top-notch. Unfortunately, the service at this branch leaves much to be desired. On my first visit, the phone behind the counter was apparently more important than helping customers. The second time, they had an extensive personal conversation while people were waiting. After waiting five minutes, I left. It's a shame, because the food is good.

Stach is iconic for me. The coffee and other drinks are delicious and vary with the season. Sitting upstairs is a bit cramped, but it's nice for the vibe. Plus, I once spilled my coffee from upstairs. That was really stupid.

I ordered a hot chocolate, but it didn't even taste like chocolate—some strange, watery mixture. I also had the misfortune that they didn't have smoked salmon or cheese for the toasted sandwich, so your options are very limited. I ended up getting a different toasted sandwich, which was mediocre. I'd look at shops further away.

I tried the banana cake and the speculoos cake here. They were good, but I wouldn't say they were the best. The Americano was just okay. The atmosphere was nice and appetizing. There's an upstairs area with 4-5 tables for seating. It's a small and charming place. The prices are normal for this type of cafe (in the city center and in a touristy area). I can't say the restrooms were very clean. I came on a Sunday, so it wasn't very crowded. They also have sandwiches and cookies.

Had the Ube pistachio shake, seemed rather watery to me, and the chocolate crossiant which was mediocre.

The visit was pleasant, and the service was really good and helpful. It’s a lovely shop. However, when I got back home, I noticed that the chocolate package contained some kind of insects. I’m no princess, but considering the high prices in that shop, finding insects inside the package is… yeah, I don’t know.

Great little place! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the Blossom Verbena iced tea lemonade is absolutely delicious!

The service was ok but TOO SLOW I had to wait 25 min to get 1 coconut cookie.

Shortly after 5 p.m., the waffle cone was out of stock. The ube shake was also sold out. Unfortunately, the ice cream was too runny for us. For €3.50, it was definitely a flop.

Ik kwam hier met mijn partner om twee broodjes te kopen op 13/7/2025. Dit is de meest walgelijke broodjeszaak van heel Utrecht … een schande dat zo’n zaak nog open mag blijven van de voedselinspectie. Op de koop toe een toppunt van onvriendelijkheid en arrogantie door de twee jongedames! De broodjes werden belegd met vlees dat er bedorven uitzag en overgoten met een bedenkelijke en slechte mayonaise-saus. De koeltoog zag er allesbehalve proper uit evenals de versheid van de ingrediënten. De zakjes van de broodjes hingen op de koop toe bedekt met de sausen, kortom vies en zeer klantonvriendelijk. Blijf er beter weg. Wij hebben de broodjes weergegeven en nadien werden we blij verrast met een superlekker broodje van bij Nonna Rosa … aan de overkant enkele 100m verderop!!!

The refrigerated display case looked anything but clean, as did the freshness of the ingredients. The sandwich bags were also covered in sauces—in short, filthy and very unfriendly. You'd better stay away. We displayed the sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised with a super delicious sandwich from Nonna Rosa...across the street, a few hundred meters away!!! ————————- I came here with my partner to buy two sandwiches on 13/7/2025. It could be a nice place but the cash register is placed very awkwardly, so the cashier didn't even realize that I had been standing there for some time and was trying to order. The iced tea tastes like water. I paid 5eu for a cup of ice with two twigs of mint and a teabag plopped in. They also sell Perfect Ted's matcha, which is owned by outspoken zionists. Why not use matcha that is actually from Japan instead of this yuppie stuff?

Delicious vegan sandwich eaten with vegan bacon that really tastes like bacon. Very creative. Very nice service. Recommended!

Tea was disgusting, especially for the outrageous price. The girl working was not helpful and she was focused on serving us quick instead of serving good quality drinks. She even put the paper from the tea bag in my iced tea.

Stach Utrecht – A wonderful hotspot for coffee and treats! If you are in Utrecht and are looking for a nice place to drink coffee and enjoy delicious treats, Stach aan de Choorstraat is an absolute must! This cozy shop is located a stone's throw from the Cathedral and has everything you need for a tasty break while shopping or a relaxing coffee moment. What makes Stach extra special is the relaxed atmosphere. Whether you quickly get a coffee to go or relax with a book or your laptop, the ambiance is always casual and cozy. Plus point: they work with honest, high-quality products and you can taste that!

Small, expensive cappuccino (regular size). Tables not clean. On the 1st floor, where the seats are, no spoons, sugar, etc.

The only advantage of the place is the location and decor. Coffee not tasty, food average. When asked about the price of the cookies, the waiter gave one price and then another (neither of them was true)

The place is nicely located, works longer and advantages end there, coffee is average, rather worst than most places, especially considering price point. You get all coffee in plastic cups and you need to bring it yourself. The upper floor could of been nice place with view, if the designer didn’t decide to make place for people to look at the spider web hanging over the deserts ready to fall any moment.The worst thing is, in the toilets it stinks there was no paper towels or even paper! Instead of that you get a wet towel on the flush and water everywhere. How much worst experience you can get for paying 5 euro for single coffee? First and last visit. Would rather get albert heijn and save my money and mood.

I will never buy from this store again. The staff clearly need training on how to interact with customers. The cashiers were rude and aggressive, which made the experience very unpleasant. On top of that, when I asked for sugar for my coffee, even though they had it, they refused to give it. Completely unacceptable service.

Excellent offer, a bit pricey. But it's the service that makes it a place to avoid. The staff is unfriendly and the service very slow. You can even allow at least 10 minutes to collect a can of drink.

Kinda straight up lying. They say the promo gives you the first drink off and then you register and it says that it gives you the first warm drink for free. Done it and then they say it doesn't apply, that the promo is wrong (but they still have a poster of it in the cash register)

Very cozy and cute cafè. I just wish the service was a bit better for those who stay upstairs to work or study. You could provide for example some straws, honey, sugar...

We took two meringues which were delicious, the price was also generous especially for meringues and unfortunately the person who served us was obviously not in a good mood. Fortunately the taste was there and we were only passing through.

The matcha with ice cream was delicious—10 out of 10, would recommend. I visited twice and found that the matcha alone isn’t sweet, so I added vanilla syrup, and it was perfect. The cheese croissants are also great.

Super beautiful little spot with kind people. Loved the tower & gracht view, the iron staircase, the chilled atmosphere and music. We drifted, lost time joyfully, a true second place. Had a coconut iced coffee, delicious coconut macaron (and lot more). Small, sweet, precious.

If you're lactose intolerant like me and like a soft serve ice cream you've got to try out their vegan Oatley soft serve! Discodip available too!

Iced matcha soft serve was delicious but the pandan coconut cake was also great! Small shop but still a lot of choice. Too bad about the paper straw so I couldn't eat the last bit of ice cream and had to wait for it to melt. Tip: maybe add a cardboard straw/kind of spoon. Other than that it was totally fine!

I was there at 4 o'clock. no more sandwiches.... the upstairs seating area was sticky and a bit dirty. toilet ok. the coffee was good. upstairs a nice view of the shoppers and some bridges and quays.

This gal made me a dirty chai with oat milk that brought me back to life. Upstairs crow's nest seating; cute! Hidden! It's a bit echoey inside but that's just older buildings.

Never before have I been treated so rude, unfriendly and disinterested as on Sunday April 7 in this store. There were no customers in the store when we arrived, but the staff present was very busy replenishing frozen pizzas, so busy that a good afternoon was apparently not heard. The lady coming down the stairs also didn't notice us as she walked around us and started talking to him. When asked if we could order from her, all we got was a curt “I'm not working!” People who came in after us (apparently colleagues because they served their own ice cream) were immediately noticed and both the pizza filler and the lady immediately started chatting with them. Ultimately, after asking again, I received 2 drinks for quite a lot of money. Which were just as disappointing in terms of quality as the staff. The first and last time for me and my girlfriend to go here. A real mockery.

It's a small cafe I visit every time I'm in Utrecht, the pastries are always good. Chocolate chip cookies and meringue are among my first choices. There are also various kinds of croissant pizza and chocolates.

I could not recommend the peanut butter bars more 🥜🍫. I already ate it before I could share a photo 😍. Also the croissants are great.

A nice little store/cafe close by the Dom tower. Sandwiches, coffee, and the usual stuff along with a lot of nice drinks in the cooler. Notably they're one of the only places I know that stocks Club Mate. Their cookies are also very good.

Costs a lot but they often don't have products... no salad on your sandwich, no sugar for your coffee... €8.75 for two coffees and then getting the response that you should check where you get your sugar from I THINK is quite a bit... then also pretend they don't hear you anymore. Bad service

We had oat chocolate cookie so far the the best cookie I had for a while. It was not so crunchy but chewy thats what I liked most about it and taste was soo good I can eat 3-4 of them. Bought it with 0 expectations but will definitely buy again.

I had preferred eating desert in here after reading comments. I liked the atmosphere, colors, design and view of street. You can find a lot of differences tastes. I had tried brownie and pie with almond. The service was nice and lady was kind. The location is easy, absolutely you should look into

Aan de dure kant, dun belegd broodje € 7,95. Smaakte prima maar niet voldoende als snelle lunch. Boven wel lekker zitten met mooi uitzicht over een A-locatie.

Vanavond naar de Stach op de Choorstraat gelopen voor een Oatly soft serve. Blijkt dat die alleen maar tot 7 uur wordt geserveerd omdat het apparaat dan wordt schoongemaakt. Erg onhandige tijd; dan is het geen optie meer als toetje. Zou ook fijn zijn als dat op de website werd aangegeven.

Duur, een broodje voor 8 euro. Proefde niet alsof het t geld waard was. Wel mooie locatie en boven is het leuk zitten. Wel benauwd op een warme of vochtige dag.

Charged the wrong price for a pre-packaged item, and refused to give back the money without me leaving all my personal details. This was immediately after purchasing it, so it should have been no problem at all. By the way, the product itself was delicious!

Ein sehr schöner Laden in dem es unterschiedliche Produkte gibt die man sich einfach so kaufen kann und dann in den Straßen von Güterrechts essen kann, zum Beispiel Chips oder auch Muffins oder Sandwiches. Natürlich gibt es auch coffeetogo in allen Varianten. Die Croissants schmecken einmalig, zu empfehlen sind auch die Schoko Muffins die zerlaufen im Mund. Sehr zu empfehlen.

If heaven had Uber Eats, they would order coconut macaroons from STACH at least 3x a week. If you visit Utrecht and don’t try them, you’re missing out.
