I had an iced latte and a coconut macaron, and the staff were incredibly friendly!

This Stach is the go-to place for me and my team in between meetings at our office. Great coffee, super nice selection of (vegan) snacks and crunchy sandwiches. On top of that, lovely staff, always in for a friendly chat :)

“Opens at 8”… yeah right. Was there just after 8 this morning. The door was locked so I knocked, and the two people (a short girl with dark her and taller guy with a dark beard) simply ignored me. Here’s a hot tip kids, if you are a business, and someone is there to give you their money, you take their money. (Probably for the best, the coffee is very much overrated anyway).

I visit this STACH often and I never leave disappointed! The staff is super friendly and you can really chat with them about your day. I would recommend everybody to get their lovely sandwiches and coffee. GODBless all the members on the team in Jesus name!😊

There's a huge chunk of foam on top of the matcha. When I drank it, there was a chunk that hadn't even dissolved properly. Maybe the other flavors are good, but the matcha isn't particularly tasty.

Worth the visit. Definitely will come back

Staff who aren't working are first standing outside yelling into the phone, and then with friends, yelling at the whole place, today at 4:45 p.m. 👎

I recently visited this place and ordered what was advertised as a Chicken Avocado Sandwich. To my surprise, the sandwich did not contain any chicken at all. Apparently, I was supposed to “guess” that two tiny leaf icons on the menu meant it was vegetarian. This is misleading and frustrating. If there is no chicken, then it simply should not be called chicken. Clear labeling is basic honesty, and customers shouldn’t need to decode hidden symbols to know what they’re ordering. Another disappointing detail was the service. While I was waiting, the employee was more focused on chatting and laughing with a colleague than on preparing my order. It gave the impression that customer time was not valued. To make matters worse, the sandwich itself was disappointing: it tasted like nothing more than bread and sauce, without any real substance or flavor to justify its name or price. A little more clarity in the menu and a bit more professionalism in service would make a big difference.

If you ask for a “lemonade” from their menu, they give you some tap water and a bag of flavored leaves. 😂

The staff is neither friendly nor unfriendly. They had run out of sandwiches by late afternoon. But still have coffee and pastries…the coffee was good enough. Basically a good latte—nothing else really to say. The baked goods were also fine. Nothing amazing or great—just overall good. This location is probably best for takeaway as they only have two little tables outside.

Sandwiches are only available part of the day although they occupy half of their board. “Maybe until 4, until 6, depends”. Not a reliable business.

employees are super nice, good atmosphere and good food, last time I was there I was just a little shocked. there was a situation with a mouse running around the sandwich making area, this is not the first time. Hygiene is not good, there are many flies and therefore mice. and the prices are way too high. girls were very nice, nice chat :)

Today on the 23.02 I went into the Stach cafe. I can only say good things about this place and especially about their staff. The girl that was behind the counter was so friendly, I rarely ever get this kind of customer treatment. Because of her you all get 5 stars from me!!

Unfortunately not the best experience here. A colleague of mine brought me to this brunch to have me trying their meatball sandwich with truffle mayo, which was actually very alright. Was lunch time so stress for the only girl working there was probably quite high, so I highly appreciated her kindly removing an ingredient I asked to take out, as I am allergic to it (the two starts I gave are for her alone). Until second colleague comes from her, probably, well deserved lunch break. She toss her head down, gives a good shake almost on top of the food counter, ties her hair and starts her shift. Followed by not-so-nice glances to whoever has any request. I’m sorry if it was a bad day and so the mood wasn’t so high, but I can’t pass the hair manipulation over where good is prepared 😮‍💨

Cute little coffee shop, great service (they were open on Christmas), they offer some beer and wine.

On December 24, 2024 I felt like having a nice flat white, around 3:00 PM I ordered this from a blonde lady behind the cash register. I was very disappointed in my quite pricey coffee. It was anything but a nice flat white. I don't think it's possible that someone in such a beautiful place doesn't know how to make coffee. This was the last time for me. It was a cup of coffee with milk in it and that said it all

Very disappointing. Our favorite Meat Ball truffle was dry and the bun so hard that it breaks your palate. Previously you would get a different bun from the oven. They have changed the brown bread and it has not become any tastier and for an insane amount (almost 8 euros!!!!)

I love STACH. I come here every time I am at the UvA library. I love all their products. The only thing I need to see improvement on is the matcha lattes. I love the matcha that they use however every time I buy a matcha latte the matcha is not mixed well and there are lumps of matcha that I have to chew because it comes through the straw. That is not pleasant. Please mix the matcha well <3

Erika was really kind with us and explained everything to me when I was confused with what to choose. The sandwich is really tasty same as the sweets. I will be back for sure!!

I was helped by a boy with brown curls. he was super nice and funny and gave me all kinds of tips on what to take. the food and drinks were good too.

The coffee was tasty and the sandwiches were also very tasty. We had a meatball truffle and I can definitely recommend it. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Amsterdam.

Walked past here several times in the evening last week to see MICE running around all over the products and food, shocking considering the meringues are barely covered overnight. Needs pest control asap! Glad we didn't eat from here.

the coffee place is conveniently located next to the university library which is great for grabbing a quick bite/coffee to go; unfortunately it’s quite a small establishment so it gets crowded quite easily. Staff is kind but the prices are a little bit on the steeper side —hence the three star rating— that fortunately gets compensated by the quality of their drinks. The latte actually tastes like coffee and the iced americano is quite good as well, the only drink I wouldn’t really recommend is the iced matcha tho… tastes a bit… funny? 😭

Very bad service, the guy who was serving did not answer. He started talking outside with his friends and the store was full of unattended customers. On top of that, he has the nerve to tell everyone who buys that he closes in ten minutes when he arrives outside talking for a long time. Shame and bad image for the store. The entire clientele was angry.

Rude staff, got my order completely wrong and I ended up paying too much. Didn’t get my money back and the staff kept throwing glances at us and laughing afterwards. Felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Bad vibes, DONT GO THERE!

I wanted to drink a delicious coffee, but the staff messed up my order and prepared completely the wrong drinks for me and my girlfriend! They were also generally unpleasant and rude! A so-called “fashion icon” sat behind the counter and made fun of us with his colleagues (his outfit was ugly). NEVER AGAIN!!!👎

On this beautiful sunny day I felt like having an iced latte at Stach. Last time I come here. Young boy with curls and a mustache sat behind the counter on his stool and forgot my order. When I pointed this out, with his phone in his hand, he reluctantly made my iced latte. Here he forgot the caramel I requested. Rolling his eyes, his colleague added the caramel, and there were no excuses. Too bad these kind of staff for such a nice place...

Staff was super sweet and told us about some nice places to go visit and foods to try ! Even accepted to make me a custom iced matcha lemonade with the lemonade I bought. 💚💚

I love stach and this location is always good, but as a celiac person I need to ask you to please stop placing your gluten free options next to gluten baked goods. Please instruct your management on allergies :(

Bad coffee and one of the most expensive per cup in town. Even a specialty coffee place doesn't have such high prices.

The guy in the counter was really nice. I ordered the pink chai and it was ok. I appreciated the milk alternatives. I think it was a little overpriced.

Every time I buy things here it‘s the same - looks and tastes like it’s old and has been there sitting for long 🤷‍♀️

Walked in, ordered a crispy bacon avocado sandwich that was advertised as 6.50 or something. The girl says: ok that’ll be 7.50 and I’m like sorry what? And she says: yeah sorry we are out of white bread so we only have brown and that is more expensive. That is something you should say upfront. It’s not even worth the money tbh. Go to AH at Koningsplein and get a sandwich for half the price. I know I will next time.

Stach is really nice, I always get cappuccino here, they also have student discount :) sandwiches are great as well, and they have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options

The coffee they sell is delicious and it's not only better, but cheaper than the coffee they serve at my uni cafeteria. So if you study at UvA definitely go here

Невеличка кав'ярня з достатньо широким асортиментом. В меню є сендвічі, салати, солодкі та солоні снекі. І звісно - кава. На жаль - доволі посередня. Меренги розкішні! І на вигляд, і на смак. Оплата тільки карткою. Місць для сидіння всередені лише два. В цілому - непогано, але хотілося б смачнішої кави.

Do NOT pre-order here via ClassPass. Ordered an iced matcha latte and went to pick up 10 minutes later and they said they were out of matcha. They offered a normal latte instead.

Stach ist bei uns immer ein Pflichtbesuch wenn wir in Amsterdam sind. Die Cranberry Cookies und die Nougat Croissants sind einfach der Wahnsinn. Das Personal ist auch immer sehr freundlich und hilft auch gerne mal beim treffen einer Entscheidung wenn man mal nicht weiß was man will. Was mir am besten gefällt, ist der Bezug zur regionale Lebensmitteln direkt vom Bauer und somit wieder mehr in den Vordergrund kommen.

I can’t speak for the other sandwiches here, but the salmon sandwich and the truffle meatball sandwich were really good. Iced coffee was great as well. Just two things to note - no seating, but across the road lots of benches. Also, we wanted to get more food but it was a very hot day so the entrance door was left open, and there were tons of flies walking all over the croissants and pastries.

Das Essen ist echt super, der Laden ist wunderschön und das Essen wird toll präsentiert. Die Preise sind aber astronomisch, also eher geeignet wenn man nur eine kleine Süßigkeit mitnehmen möchte. Preis-Leistung ist da dann tatsächlich eher fragwürdig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, spricht Englisch und ist sehr hilfsbereit.

Lovely food. However, in this particular location we were served by two very rude girls. Neither of them were friendly towards any of us. We are also each charged more than the display price for sandwiches.

Croissants are amazing! For sure one of my favorite places to have a break,staff is super friendly and the location is great in the midst of a lively and eclectic shoppimg district

Ze hebben net niet die dingen waarvan je zou hopen dat ze die wel zouden hebben. Duur, inefficiënt en onhygiënisch.

All sandwiches cost 5.5 euro, makes it easy to order. Brown bread-Carpaccio with avocado(+extra) sandwich recommended! It gets Toooooo crowded at lunch breaks. A line to the left - for ordering and a line to the right - for picking up the order. It's a take-away place.

A Stach is a Stach, of course. Full of baked treats, sandwiches, and good coffee.
