Refused to open a toilet when drinks were bought, my disabled wife was desperate. Bit pathetic to have they were just cleaned as an excuse.

While strolling around the city center of Amsterdam, I hangout with friends and had coffee at Starbucks Amsterdam. The atmosphere was very cozy, and the barista's were polite and helpful. As usual, I ordered an Hot Americano and speculaas loaf cake . It tasted great, a perfect combination. Besides coffee and non-coffee drinks, there were also various pastries. They also sell various merchandise like tumblers, mugs and more. The location is very strategic, located on Damrak , in the city center of Amsterdam. There are 2 floors for dining area. There are toilet faciities and free Wi-Fi. Overall , the service was very satisfying,Thank You Starbucks Damrak Amsterdam.

I like this branch all staff are so friendly and nicely and we got 5* service. We try 5 cheeses 🧀 sandwiches which was very delicious.

I had to wait about 20 minutes for one of the ladies to get a cake from the display case. Just to give me the feeling of being busy, there was no line, and the ladies could chat happily with each other. Drinks were also served quickly.

Great starbucks location. Came on a Monday morning and it was not too busy. Still plenty of seating. The staff were amazing very friendly and personable. Our orders were quick and delicious . Great vibe for sitting down and enjoying some coffee before you kick off the day as its nice and peaceful inside. Clean and noise is low. Love this location!

While exploring the center of Amsterdam, this is an ideal place to sit down and relax, where you can also use the internet and restrooms. The coffee is average.

We ordered toast that was served completely cold inside, with unheated cheese. The cappuccino was good, but it's best to order the breakfast deal. The bathrooms were awful; there was no water to wash your hands, and you have to enter a code from your ticket to get in. They smell terrible. There was only one Spanish-speaking girl working when we visited. It's a decent place to stop if you're passing through.

The staff is unusual, unpleasant, and doesn't take your request into account. They made a mistake with my order, and when we tried to correct it, they just sighed. Furthermore, they don't clear the tables… honestly, what kind of place is this?! Disappointing, ugh!

Had a very bad experince. I bought the Chai Latte which was too sugury and sweet. When I shared concern, sales lady checked the quantity and behave weired as if I am asking free replacement. Rather she could have offered replacement at least the quantity which is not consumed. As a tourist we have many things and it might take a time to convey the feedback.. Anyways. I left that behind though I am a fan of STARBUSKs chailatte. Good part is I find good taste and service with COSTA CAFE :-)

December 2nd at 6:37 PM, we were there. We were upstairs. At some point, everyone had to go downstairs and the upstairs was being cleaned. We weren't allowed to use the toilet; only downstairs was allowed. The downstairs toilet was terribly dirty, with the trash can overflowing around the toilet, leaving trash all over the floor. No one wanted to use it. Other customers asked if it could be cleaned, but were rudely told they wouldn't do it for another 15 minutes and quickly walked away. No one, 3-4 customers including us, left without using the toilet.

I ordered a LATTE and it is half full for a grande. Not nice. Staff are always nice here but i don't like getting half full.

I don't know if it's because it's in the city center or because it's small, but unfortunately the service is very slow, very crowded, there's no place to sit, the place is dirty, so just take your coffee and leave. It's really bad.

This is one of the most beautiful Starbucks places I've ever been in. It's so cozy when you get in and so well organized. I went there several times during my stay in Amsterdam. It's definitely packed during lunch hours but when I got there in the morning it was quiet. Staff is super friendly and spelled my name right too. They have a few very tasty treats and upper floor seats are also available. WiFi is impeccable as always and prices are what they are for Starbucks. I guess the options available and the personalization justify it. It's not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. Can absolutely recommend whenever you want a good coffee in a cozy place that is central.

They're closing the space upstairs despite the cafe being fully with people, so I had to huddle in a corner downstairs to get some coffee 😩😩

We enjoyed a cozy family table at Starbucks in Amsterdam and tried the new Tiramisu Latte, both hot and cold. A very interesting and rich coffee flavor that’s different from the usual options! The drinks went perfectly with a slice of chocolate cake and some delicious chocolate-covered raspberry bites (Franui) — a great combination for a sweet break. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with friendly service. Definitely worth a stop if you want to try something new beyond the classic menu!

While walking around Dam Square, we came across this particular Starbucks. There was a queue of about 8/9 people before us. However within 15 minutes we got whatever we wanted, cappuccino and chocolate muffin. Luckily we also got a place to sit. We spent some quality tome over coffee and muffin. The ambiance was very good.

It was almost full when I visited, but I was lucky enough to get a seat. (There's also a second floor.) I ordered a pumpkin latte and an Americano, and it took over 20 minutes to get them. I figured it was because the line was long when I ordered, but then I noticed a customer in fluorescent overalls who was in line behind us was leaving first, which felt odd. I asked about it, and they only started making their drinks then. It wasn't racism or anything, just poor workmanship... You have to remember the customer before you when ordering.

It's a Starbucks like any other, good service, good facilities.

Despite the posted opening hours, the store was still closed when we arrived, leaving us to head to the airport empty-handed. It’s disappointing to see a global brand like Starbucks fail to uphold something as basic as opening on time. For those of us who travel frequently and rely on consistency, this kind of unreliability is unacceptable. As someone who has been a Starbucks customer on four different continents, I can say with confidence — you simply can’t depend on this branch to be open when they say they will.

It's a good place to unwind with your folks. The location is perfect if you are looking for a to go coffee while enjoying the Damrak view.

A very nice Starbucks with excellent service, but the fact that they don't have the gluten-free cookies or muffins that every Starbucks I've been to around the world has is terrible. I'm celiac, and it's the only option I have to have something with my coffee (which, by the way, is excellent as always), and there are many celiac and lactose intolerant people around the world. They should have gluten-free bread or pastry options.

The staff is very slow. They are rude and disrespectful to customers. The wait time is excessive. The restroom is locked and not clean. You have to clean up the trash on the tables yourself. It's a disgrace.

Staff was friendly and it was clean. Ordered drinks and a venti Pike place. Drinks were announced but no coffee after 10 minutes. Asked and they started to have me order another. After that was resolved they said they had to make with 5 minute wait. This was at 9am, I do not know how they can keep pace later in the day. Left with no coffee will not visit this one again, bad service. Came back another day and it was much better, must have been a bad day which we all have.

Terrible! We ordered a cappuccino and a Mango Dragon and waited over 30 minutes. The toilet code didn't work at all. You can go to the toilet upstairs and downstairs, but unfortunately, nothing worked. There was no toilet paper either. I had to go to the toilet downstairs, and the problem was that the door wouldn't close, so I was standing there half-naked in front of all the customers because I was sitting on the toilet and the door opened. I waited a whopping 20 minutes until I could finally go to the toilet. The Mango Dragon didn't taste good at all; it was just water. It looks reddish-pink in the picture, but it was actually really pale.

It was quite busy when we arrived, but it moved quite quickly. The staff was very friendly! We had to wait a bit, but we had our coffee within 10 minutes. Inside, it looked great, and you can even go upstairs. The coffee tasted great!

They said closing time is at 11pm but before 9 they already start cleaning everything.. You couldn't use the toilet anymore.. You couldn't eat/drink everything... The people working there we're not very nice.. there was no line but had to wait for almost 10-15 minutes cause they were to busy cleaning...

Convenient Starbucks in the center of Amsterdam. You can enjoy a cup of coffee (Americano) with a snack. The service is quick and friendly. It really adds to the service when they call out your name.

This Starbucks in central Amsterdam, right in the heart of downtown, is a perfect spot for a quick break. I tried their pistachio square, and it was absolutely delicious – rich, nutty, and reasonable sweet. Great location, cozy atmosphere, and friendly service made it an an amazing stop after a busy day sightseeing to relax and enjoy a a few sips of coffee.

The dirtiest Starbucks in the world ! Workers are also not that nice. You cant reach the same quality of the SB I see bugs and flies in the food cabinets every time I go. When I warn the staff about this, they don't seem to care. This is a huge disappointment.

Laziest baristas of Starbucks are found in Amsterdam Damrak. Everytime one goes for a coffee, staff refuses to provide it in a mug / cup. They're always "about to close" so cannot serve in a cup. This outlet encourages pollution by always serving in a takeaway plastic lined cup! Enter with your own risk!!

Hi! I visited this Starbucks location on May 30th 2025. I ordered a Mango-Dragonfruit refresha, a cinnamon roll and an espresso. I kid you not I waited 20 mins for my cinnamon roll and two drinks. I understand that the staff had nothing to do with the traffic in the cafe and the people in the cafe being packed like sardines, but come on, 20 minutes for three things that are easy to make? Please. I was a little pissed while waiting for my stuff, but I understand that this is a busy Starbucks location! ❤️☕️

I've been to many Starbucks. But here I got the worst coffee ever. I complained to the counter and was treated like a stupid tourist. I had to wait a very long time for that awful coffee. Not to mention the restrooms, yuck!!!!!!!

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this Starbucks location. There were no Dutch-speaking staff available, and as a result, my daughter received the wrong order. Instead of helping her, the staff dismissed her simply because she couldn’t speak Dutch. This is completely unacceptable. Starbucks needs to get its act together and ensure that staff are able to communicate in Dutch.

Chelsey was soo dismissive! I asked for napkins because the supplies where it was at were empty . She told me to give her one seconds. I know it’s a busy place but she came back to me telling me that her coworker will fill it out but she never told any of her coworkers about the napkins at all because she was busy with the drink orders ! Baaaad service! False promises. Never tell a customers to wait and delegate the tasks AFTER you made them wait!

Ordering took too long. Waited 25 minutes for three Refresha drinks. Plenty of servers there, but only two working. Not good service. The tables aren't clean either. A real shame.

The drinks are fine. Nothing extravagant. However the service and atmosphere is a hit or miss. Sometimes it gets so crowded that you will need to wait 20+ minutes to get your drink. It’s crowded and completely packed with tourists. Don’t go unless you want mediocrity.

I purchased a beautiful location mug and when I left the store, the bag ripped and the cup fell and broke. I was devastated to say the least. I was going to glue it together but once I took it out of the box, the cup was completely shattered. I went back into the store and talked to the manager who said she'd prefer me to be happy and remember the place well and replaced the cup. I am forever grateful as well as the travelers I was with. It made my whole trip. Much appreciation. This place knows how to take care of its people.

Rokin 74 location in Amsterdam, NL: I ordered three grande green teas among other things today expecting hot drinks. I was given three iced teas even though I never specified iced or cold. I told them I wanted hot drinks and the staff member gave me flack for not specifying hot. Since when is that expected and when did it become the customer’s fault? My daughter took one of the cold ones since it’s routine in Canada and the US to give the customer drinks made by mistake. The staff member yelled loudly “who took my drinks”…so she returned it. We observed him move the cold drinks behind the staff door and later went back there with another staff member. Optically, it looked like they wanted to benefit from their mistake. To make matters worse I was charged for the pricier iced drinks. Terrible customer service and would definitely NOT recommend. I was just saying to my family before we entered that at least with Starbucks you know what you’re getting. Boy, was I wrong!

Worst branch in the whole world, very slow service not organized at all

The drinks are really good. I ordered twice. I got Ice White Mocha the first time, and I chose the same one for my second order. However, they accidentally gave it hot once, but they changed it immediately when I asked, thank you. But the baristas work incredibly slowly. It has nothing to do with being busy. People who ordered after me get their drinks before me, I really don't understand this. They do their job a little strangely, to be honest. Still, I have to give credit where credit is due, the drinks are really delicious. People coming from Türkiye will also like them because Starbucks drinks here are much more delicious than the ones in Turkey. I'm not saying this as a mistake, it really is. They are much better in terms of taste. But as I said, you can go and try it once. If you like it so much, definitely go a few more times because this coffee makes you miss it. In my personal opinion, it is definitely worth the money you pay.

The shop is not clean and the coffee is watery..

It's Starbucks. You know what to expect. My cappuccino was slightly bitter, but acceptable. This location is ALWAYS busy. Expect a crowded wait, but good service anyway. Lin and Chelsey were very helpful and friendly. Update: I added an extra star for Chelsey's super hard work at a crowded time.

Fast and friendly service. They try their best to understand your language (one even spoke Spanish), but the others also tried to speak a little Spanish. They were truly friendly. The food and coffee were also delicious. The place is very pleasant and centrally located.

The worst Starbucks I've ever visited. I've waited for my coffee for so long that my hairs turned gray. And the toilets. The awfully dirty toilets where it smells like a dead octopus and I didn't even dare to touch anything because of how dirty it was everywhere. The worst thing is that the "cleaning" lady was just standing next to the toilets door acting like she's doing something. The worst experience I've ever had.

We came here for a small break before and after walking - it was quite busy on a Monday afternoon so the wait took longer. There are more tables at the upper part that are not fully used. However, what shocked us was how dirty it was - the tables were not cleaned off dirty dishes, the toilets were horrible even though they have a passcode (toilet paper everywhere, uncleaned toilets, no soap, overfilled trash bins, etc.)… Additionally, they seem to not offer cold brew and recommended us the Americano that turned out to be fully burned regarding the flavor…

The location is very good, and the staff taking orders are lively and friendly. However, the store overall is a bit messy. It's the average level of dirtiness in Europe. I know it's difficult to look forward to Korea, but still... ..There is only one bathroom for both men and women, so you have to wait in line for a long time. It seems that European toilet standards are at a point where they are giving up.

I've been to Starbucks in many countries, but this is the first time I've experienced a store where drinks come out this late. Even though there is a huge backlog of orders, the employees are laughing and chatting, and the customers are waiting for over 20 minutes to get a drink, but seeing them working makes me angry.

Incompetent team, prefer to talk instead of doing something. There are 30-40 people standing here and the last drink was brought 6 minutes ago…
