The cashier's service was terrible. I ordered a dry, old pyramid cake.

I was truly shocked by one of the staff members. There were many people waiting to use the restrooms, and they were locked with codes on the door. I asked the waitress if I could use the restroom, and she said no and locked the door without any explanation.

A welcoming and well-maintained location. Typical Starbucks products and a welcoming and friendly staff. Highly recommended for a regenerating stop! ☺️

I ordered a drink but they gave me the wrong order, I notified a staff about it. She remade my drink BUT she also got it wrong. I paid € 7,55 for a drink that I did not order. Never going back to the same starbucks ever again!!

This was the first time in my 20 years as a Starbucks customer that I experienced something like this. This was the only Starbucks where I was refused a simple glass of water. I even had to argue with the manager and prove that I was a customer. The entire experience was extremely annoying, frustrating, and embarrassing. I found the way I was treated disrespectful and completely unacceptable. In my 20 years as a Starbucks customer, this was by far the lowest level of customer service I have ever experienced from Starbucks.

My friend fell very ill whilst we were about in Amsterdam on holiday, and needed help and shelter from the sun. The staff in this shop were incredible with the help they offered, and gave us reassurance, support and drinks throughout the period of our friend's medical episode. I cannot stress enough how professional and helpful the workers were, in particular Sofia. Thank you from us all!

Every day the toilets were out of order. As it was 2 years ago. Rude and bored service staff. Dirty surfaces everywhere (tables, chairs , countertops .etc). Food and drinks are pretty much the same as it is on the other Starbucks

I had a mixed experience at this Starbucks. Sophia was very nice, polite, and helpful, and I appreciate her friendly service. Unfortunately, my experience with another staff member was quite different. I found the Asian/chinese staff member’s attitude toward me to be rude and arrogant, and I felt that she treated South Asian customers differently from other customers. She was noticeably warmer and more polite toward others, which made the interaction uncomfortable and left me feeling that I was being treated unfairly. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that every customer is treated with the same level of respect and courtesy, regardless of their background. Because of this experience, I would not currently recommend this Starbucks to others.

The server behind the counter was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. The drinks we ordered were also delicious. However, picking up our drinks was chaotic and involved long waits. The biggest drawback, and the main reason for the low rating, is the restrooms. After waiting for 10 minutes, I was stopped by another server when I tried to use a stall. She told me in a very unfriendly tone that she needed to clean the toilet and that I and everyone else should wait about 5 minutes. I and the still-existing queue behind me waited for the cleaning to be completed. After a long wait, I was finally able to use the restroom, but instead of being cleaned, it was still filthy, with water all over the floor, tissues stuck to the walls, and a dirty sink.

I understand that it's a busy cafe located in a city center with a lot of people, but my experience here was absolutely terrible. First of all, there was a garbage-like smell spreading throughout the shop. Honestly, we should have just walked out right then, but after walking around sightseeing all day, we just wanted a place to sit down and have a cup of coffee. Second, the staff's attitude was awful. Of course, I understand that European customer service might not match Japan's high level of hospitality, but their service was blatantly rude. I get that they were busy, but they need to have at least a basic awareness of being hospitality workers. On top of that, even though there were empty tables on the second floor, they weren't properly cleaned. Trash was left scattered across the tables, so we had to wipe them down ourselves. If you have any extra time and energy, I strongly recommend choosing somewhere else.

Very disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow, and the staff were not helpful at all. On top of that, the food was served cold. I expected much better from Starbucks.

A unique Starbucks location that's definitely worth visiting. Housed inside a beautiful historic bank building, the architecture and interior design make it stand out from any other Starbucks I've been to. The atmosphere is relaxing, the coffee was excellent, and the service was friendly and efficient. I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a bit crowded during my visit, but overall it was a great experience and a must-see stop if you're in Amsterdam.

This place is not designed to take large volume of people. It was very busy and out of 3 toilets only one was available with a 20-30 min waiting time🫣

The girl has so much attitude. The cashier was nice. I told him I want espresso with ice. It came without ice and she said “no we cannot give you ice” i didn’t ask for fee, you can charge if you want.

Coffee is ok. The whole shop is dirty, probably too many customers. Very long queue on Saturday for WC on the 1st floor(around 20 persons). The disable WC on the ground floor remains closed. When asked staff whether they can open disabled WC for a while as too many people waiting, reply „ no, that’s our policy. „ less interested whether the customers need to wait long…

During our trip to Amsterdam, we stopped by this Starbucks for a coffee break and had a very pleasant experience. Beautiful building (former bank building), however, due to its proximity to the main train station, it is always very busy, so be sure to plan for a waiting time.

We had an order at 11.08 -2 Frappucino. Very long services. We was waiting or cofee about 30 minutes. Employes said that it on a line. But after our 2 questions when will be our Frappucino they understood that lost our order. Awful situation

I usually love Starbucks and visit different locations regularly, which is why I was so disappointed with this one. This was by far the worst Starbucks experience I’ve ever had. The staff were extremely rude, disrespectful, and not helpful at all. The drinks were also disappointing and nowhere near the quality I’m used to at other Starbucks locations. The restroom situation was unacceptable. There was often no toilet paper, and today the upstairs restroom was completely clogged and simply closed off. As a result, everyone had to use the single accessible restroom downstairs, which caused long waiting times. When my pregnant friend urgently needed to use the restroom, we were suddenly asked to show a receipt, even though we had already made a purchase earlier that day. Honestly, who keeps a receipt for a drink? I explained that we were planning to buy more drinks after using the restroom, but there was absolutely no understanding or compassion, even after mentioning that my friend was pregnant. I don’t live in Amsterdam, but I have visited many Starbucks locations, and this was by far the worst one. I definitely won’t be coming back.

I've been to Starbucks around the world, and the only place I've ever seen the Five Cheese Toastie is in the Netherlands. This sandwich is truly awesome. Buy one. Eat one. Tell me I'm not wrong. Service is good considering how busy this location often is. The only downside about the atmosphere is the homeless people sitting at the tables and sleeping. They tend to sit more toward the door on the long bench seat, but they don't really bother anyone. Just sit away from them if it concerns you, and enjoy your food and/or drink. Live and let live. ❤️ And, yeah, I was so hungry I totally missed getting a pic of my toastie.

Two weeks ago I’ve I was there . For 3 mornings to have breakfast Stuff unfriendly, except one Spanish young lady. coffee not so good every day. When I said that, they replied that the person was new, I didn’t got another coffee, not even sorry, I had some eggs , when I requested for salt the said that is a Starbucks not a restaurant. Very unprofessional and rude staff. The staff did not speak Dutch, which in itself is not a problem, but despite the fact that I clearly explained my order in English twice, my drink was still made incorrectly. When I mentioned this, the response I received was that their coffee is already very expensive. I had ordered a large drink and indicated this twice, but ultimately received a small one while paying almost the same amount as for a large one. Subsequently, I was told in a condescending manner that I had to pay extra if I still wanted to receive the correct size. Additionally, the frappuccino was very bad and tasted almost entirely of ice and water with whipped cream. Moreover, because the weather was bad, it was quiet in the shop, so being busy cannot be an excuse. Misunderstanding an order can happen, but subsequently blaming the customer and treating them in such a way is not okay.

Wherever I travel, I always have a need to find a Starbucks, and this one was the closest to our Hotel on Java Island. This one is situated in the hustle and bustle of Dam Square, but upon going in, it was very busy but you could smell the lovely fresh coffee! Everything on the menu is not menu items from the UK which excited me! I chose a Venti Caramelised Banana Iced Latte and I was blown away how fresh and tasty this drink was. Why does Starbucks abroad always better than the UK drinks? Also the staff were very friendly and there was free Wi-Fi which really helped us navigate the hectic streets of De Wallen! Toilet facilities available also when your on the go, so definitely needed in this area! There was a queue for the toilets when we were here but very handy in Dam Square. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! One of the best drinks I've ever had at a Starbucks! UK Starbucks HQ, please get caramelised banana syrup, UK would love this combo in the summer!

We visited and ordered 4 drinks – we asked for large but received medium instead. On top of that, the taste of all the drinks was disappointing. The place was crowded and it took a long time to get our order. I think Starbucks really needs to work on their speed and the quality of their drinks.

Quite a busy place. The staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee was quite good, and the hot chocolate was delicious. Despite the crowds, we found a seat without any problems. Some of the seats have power outlets for connecting laptops or charging phones. The cleanliness of the venue is acceptable. The issues are the queues, the cleanliness of the restrooms, and the fact that cakes are served on paper instead of on plates.

I get my coffee here on my way to work on a regular and i am always very pleased. The Coffee is very delicious and the staff is very friendly. Especially Matti was nice the last time i was there. Always a treat!

Extremely loud and probably the dirtiest Starbucks I've ever been to!!! Filthy toilet with no toilet paper and handwash soap, paper and trash everywhere on the floor and stinking water leakage in the toilet. You really need to clean up this spot and make it more cozy. I was more stressed leaving this place than before!

This shop is located near the Amsterdam Royal Palace. There are room on the first and second floors available. The service staff is very friendly and the light food is very good. I have experienced a wonderful food and coffee enjoyment time here.

The interior is smaller than I expected, especially on the second floor. It's nice that there are plenty of power outlets. I ordered an iced Americano because they had it, and the staff member's expression was unbelievable. It was really dirty, probably because there were a lot of people who didn't know the password, so they just quickly used the restroom while waiting in line, and left.

The baristas were really rude. I used my full loyalty stamp card for a drink and they wouldn’t allow me to customize the drink (even though this is possible). When I asked them about this, they simply said I used it on another and cheaper drink in the order already. The loyalty card is supposed to be on the more expensive drink. They also charged me for to go cups even though I got my drinks in glasses. The latter is not the problem as it was only 20 cents but definitely added to my already growing frustration with how they were behaving. I’m not even that bothered by them not complying to the loyalty card thing (even if it’s annoying) but them being rude when I was just asking simple questions (not even many or complicated questions because I know, from experience, how annoying customers can be) was really killing the vibe.

Closed down access to the upstairs restroom. Left only one (1) handicap one room restroom for public access. Not customer friendly. Creating a line of people. You should do better for your people.

For a flagship city centre location, this was a total disappointment. Dark and dingy. No toasting or heating facilities for food. Half-hearted welcome and service from staff. Worst of all, only one toilet open, huge queue for it (30 minutes) and once in, disgusting condition. Avoid this place.

Worst experience at a Starbucks I've had in the past 20 years. Took them 3 tries to make a iced latte correctly, and it still tastes like super sweet milk. Had to pay more to get the larger size and they still only gave me 2 shots. Very impatient staff while trying to explain the issue.

I ordered a large Frappuccino, which was supposed to cost around €6, but the barista charged me €7.70. I don't understand where the price increase came from. While waiting for my order, I needed to use the restroom. I asked a barista, who started explaining where the restrooms were and then asked to see my receipt (which I obviously hadn't brought 🥲). I told him I hadn't brought it, and he went to see his colleagues before coming back to me saying there were no restrooms. Is the service based on who you are? They even refused to apply the student discount, whereas they accepted it in Groningen. I really don't recommend this Starbucks to tourists or students.

I’ve ordered matcha frappuccino at many starbucks locations and it always tasted really good. Here, it was exceptionally bad, it tasted like just ice and ended up in the trash

I visited this Starbucks and honestly, I found it extremely rude that even though we were eating our drinks and desserts, they wouldn't let us go upstairs just because they were about to close and there was no space downstairs. We had to eat and drink standing up, which definitely didn't make for a good experience at this establishment. What bad luck, because I love going to Starbucks and I definitely wouldn't be going back to this one.

Worst coffee ever. Irem should not make coffee and just take orders. Ordered 2 as the chai latte is way too sweet and the milk tastes weird. The cappuccino tastes like there’s 4 shot of espresso in it.

As always, going to Starbucks is a great choice, especially when Sandra (the Spanish girl) serves you – she was lovely!

Basic Starbucks with average service, less seating options than you would expect.

Visited around 9:20pm and understand the store was preparing to close. When I asked the member of staff (Kite) a simple question about seating, the response felt abrupt and dismissive. I respect closing procedures, but a more courteous explanation would have made the experience much better.

The motorway toilets look better than those, and the service wasn't great either 😔

If you are from Turkey, the coffees are similar to those in Turkey, but the taste won't be the same for you. If you are in Amsterdam, I recommend other coffee chains, especially the local ones... They are also more expensive than other coffee chains... Also, you will have to wait a bit for your order, whether there is a queue or not.

I would absolutely pass this Starbucks by. The atmosphere is already nil. I ordered a drink and had to wait almost ten minutes for it. When I picked it up, there was just one melted dollop of whipped cream on it. And when I went back with it, she looked incredibly irritated and said, "Yeah, there was more on it, but we'd already called your name a few times." I've heard all sorts of names, but not mine... Well, for both the service and the atmosphere: not again...

Too crowded, tables not cleaned, a bit of a chaotic scramble for chairs (some were the only ones there, others not), and the servers seemed overwhelmed. But the waitress who took our orders was lovely, even during the rush!

I wasn't very impressed with the service. Yes, I wasn't expecting perfect service either, but I heard someone waited 45 minutes for an Americano. It was a very crowded place, the Bubble Team had very little bubble, and the strawberries in the Strawberry Acai were rotten. Also, the baristas were arguing.

While strolling around the city center of Amsterdam, I hangout with friends and had coffee at Starbucks Amsterdam. The atmosphere was very cozy, and the barista's were polite and helpful. As usual, I ordered an Hot Americano and speculaas loaf cake . It tasted great, a perfect combination. Besides coffee and non-coffee drinks, there were also various pastries. They also sell various merchandise like tumblers, mugs and more. The location is very strategic, located on Damrak , in the city center of Amsterdam. There are 2 floors for dining area. There are toilet faciities and free Wi-Fi. Overall , the service was very satisfying,Thank You Starbucks Damrak Amsterdam.

I like this branch all staff are so friendly and nicely and we got 5* service. We try 5 cheeses 🧀 sandwiches which was very delicious.

I had to wait about 20 minutes for one of the ladies to get a cake from the display case. Just to give me the feeling of being busy, there was no line, and the ladies could chat happily with each other. Drinks were also served quickly.

Great starbucks location. Came on a Monday morning and it was not too busy. Still plenty of seating. The staff were amazing very friendly and personable. Our orders were quick and delicious . While exploring the center of Amsterdam, this is an ideal place to sit down and relax, where you can also use the internet and restrooms. The coffee is average.

We ordered toast that was served completely cold inside, with unheated cheese. The cappuccino was good, but it's best to order the breakfast deal. The bathrooms were awful; there was no water to wash your hands, and you have to enter a code from your ticket to get in. They smell terrible. There was only one Spanish-speaking girl working when we visited. It's a decent place to stop if you're passing through.

The staff is unusual, unpleasant, and doesn't take your request into account. They made a mistake with my order, and when we tried to correct it, they just sighed. Furthermore, they don't clear the tables… honestly, what kind of place is this?! Disappointing, ugh!

Had a very bad experince. I bought the Chai Latte which was too sugury and sweet. When I shared concern, sales lady checked the quantity and behave weired as if I am asking free replacement. Rather she could have offered replacement at least the quantity which is not consumed. As a tourist we have many things and it might take a time to convey the feedback.. Anyways. I left that behind though I am a fan of STARBUSKs chailatte. Good part is I find good taste and service with COSTA CAFE :-)

December 2nd at 6:37 PM, we were there. We were upstairs. At some point, everyone had to go downstairs and the upstairs was being cleaned. We weren't allowed to use the toilet; only downstairs was allowed. The downstairs toilet was terribly dirty, with the trash can overflowing around the toilet, leaving trash all over the floor. No one wanted to use it. Other customers asked if it could be cleaned, but were rudely told they wouldn't do it for another 15 minutes and quickly walked away. No one, 3-4 customers including us, left without using the toilet.

I ordered a LATTE and it is half full for a grande. Not nice. Staff are always nice here but i don't like getting half full.
