Allergies were handled properly. And no risks were taken. Fries that couldn't be served (due to the oil) were still served to the other guests. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiter. The service was relaxed. And the food was very tasty. And certainly not small portions!

The food was truly incredibly delicious! I had lunch and dinner here. The pulled chicken toastie was super tasty. The carrot soup was really great, the risotto was absolutely delicious, and the chocolate cheesecake was also incredibly good. If you want a good lunch or dinner, Stadscafé Artisante is highly recommended!

Okay... Artisante... you understood the assignment. I really felt like the main character in this Netflix series. The atmosphere is 10/10 immaculate vibes: cozy, snug, and just fancy enough without making you feel like you should have taken an etiquette course first. Next time I won't say I'm only having one drink.

We ate here on the terrace by the water. Sticky tables. Service was nice but not very spontaneous. We had to ask for the soup of the day and the fish of the day ourselves. It turned out to be red snapper. We ordered that. Five minutes later, we saw small pots of mussels being served to others. The waitress hadn't mentioned that and it wasn't on the menu. I said that in that case I wanted to switch dishes. That was no longer possible because they were already busy with the red snapper in the kitchen. It turned out to be lukewarm afterwards. A shame, a missed opportunity. On top of that, the sauces for my partner's spare ribs were also forgotten. All very sloppy.

Had a great smashed burger with fries and mayo, but no small salad on the side. Still, I had to pay €20 for this dish. A bit of a missed opportunity. Luckily, I was able to wash it down with a beer. The service is top-notch and spontaneous. Location in magnificent Dokkum.

Usually good food. Portions are also fine. But my taste is different from the chef's. My expectations are different. For example, I had a salad with burrata. Although the ingredients were exactly as listed on the menu, I had expected a mixed salad. The portion was small for a meal. Otherwise, the coffee was fine. The lunch special or croquettes are good.

Artisanale used to be our favorite lunch spot in Dokkum. Yesterday we enjoyed another tasty lunch; it was indeed tasty, but... To our disappointment, shrinkflation has now reached this establishment as well. The portions had become significantly smaller. (Not long ago, this was not the case.) I don't know if it had to do with the annual fair, but we were certainly disappointed. Everything tasted good, but we were not completely satisfied. Shame on you, Artisanale! My tip: don't cut corners this way. You will lose your regulars.

Ordered drinks at 2:45 PM, asked if we wanted something to eat? Yes, we're picking something out. Then no one came. At 2:55 PM our drinks arrived, could we order? What is the soup of the month? That is mustard soup, go ahead. You can't order lunch anymore, it's 3 o'clock. Why didn't you say that right away! They don't understand hospitality here.

Sole, as sole should be. Buttery soft, delicious. Friendly service, plenty of shade on a hot day. I found it a nice spot for lunch in Dokkum.

Very atmospheric eatery with excellent and friendly service. Exactly what we were looking for: a quick and tasty city meal. Prompt service, a charging point for bike batteries, and they even kept an eye on our bags while we went shopping. Classy!

I have been visiting Dokkum fairly regularly for years for a day out with a good lunch, a substantial city walk, and for the liveliness and conviviality that is always present here. The extensive range of shops is remarkably diverse and active. This time I enjoyed my lunch at Stadscafé Artisante on the Diepswal and opted for the lunch special (partially customizable). Excellent!! Very tasty! It is a historic building with a collection of small, cozy spaces on multiple levels. There is an attached terrace, but also one by the water. The service is prompt and friendly. Everything is clean and tidy, including the toilets. A pleasant introduction and certainly worth repeating. Ed Jansen

I thought I would face my greatest, darkest fear and go to Dokkum for a change. I used to have group therapy in Leeuwarden, and literally everyone except me was from Dokkum, and I heard the most bizarre stories about the city and its inhabitants from these people. One of those ladies always said: "There are 3 gates of hell. 1 in the sea, 1 in the desert, and 1 in Dokkum..." Anyway, I came here with my ex-step-sister Swaenette, because I really thought the ground would split open and Satan would personally drag me down if I went alone. To ease into things, I decided to just sit on the terrace for a bit upon arrival to get used to it. Well, my sandwich did come back up several times out of fear, but anyway, I swallowed it again.

The Butter Chicken tasted disgusting, as if it was weeks old. I left everything untouched and paid, with apologies from the staff. Never eating there again.

If I'm ever in Dokkum again, I'll definitely come back. The café is really cool and has a great drinks menu. I can't comment on the food, as we only ordered drinks. It's very centrally located.

For the best charcuterie board in Dokkum, you have to go to Artisante! 🙏🏻 After that, you really won't need dinner anymore 😜 Lunch and dinner are fine too, but quite standard (are there better options in Dokkum?). The staff is always friendly here!

The food was delicious. One of the best fries I have ever had: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The spareribs, meat dishes, and vegetarian options were all prepared with care. Very nice, friendly staff who give you a warm welcome. We will definitely be back here!

Prompt and friendly service on the terrace. As soon as the sun started shining, the terrace filled up quickly. However, there was no lunch menu on the table. Even in slightly worse weather, the parasols can be put out and the heaters turned on. The toilets were also very clean.

We only had drinks there. If you want to eat there, I think reservations are recommended on weekends. It's pleasantly busy. The staff are friendly. The chocolates are highly recommended. Delicious with tea.

Highly recommended! The chocolates for dessert are especially delicious. The food was delicious and plentiful, and the staff were super friendly. We were warmly welcomed (we had made a reservation) and were well-stocked with glasses for drinks and food. The restroom was even nice, with nice soap and freshening products.

At the start of a weekend getaway in Dokkum, I went to Artisante with a friend for some food and cocktails. The food was delicious; the portions were a bit small, but very tasty. The chicken thigh is highly recommended. The friendly bartender was working alone, but he made us a delicious cocktail that wasn't on the menu. We'll definitely be back for his cocktails! Artisante is highly recommended.

This afternoon, the four of us had a wonderful time at Artisante. At the waitress's suggestion, we ordered the appetizer platter. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and the two waitresses were so friendly. The beers and coffees were also excellent. But the waitresses made it perfect.

After picking up our parents from Holwerd Haven, they wanted to eat in Dokkum. They chose Artisante. We had a delicious meal. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere.

The restaurant looks nice, and we like the menu. But when it comes to the food, I haven't had such a bad experience in a long time. The risotto wasn't cooked through, and according to the waiter (who had sweaty armpits), that was their way of making risotto. You're not supposed to cook the rice through. It shouldn't turn into rice pudding, of course, but to have to break your teeth on the grains of rice is a shame. I put my plate aside, and when it came time to pay, we had to pay for the risotto as well. Strange, because eventually the owner, who initially also wanted money and was difficult to convince that the risotto wasn't cooked, came to his senses. Incidentally, you'd be better off eating lasagna at a pizzeria. Apparently, this one was also their own idea of ​​lasagna. What a shame about our day out in Dokkum.

Stadscafé Artisante is highly recommended. It's a lovely city café right in the city center, and you can moor your boat practically right outside. It's just a few minutes' walk from the dock. We had a group of 40, and they have a dedicated area for us, which was ideal. The food was delicious, the wine selection good, and the staff super friendly. In short: a great spot for both small and large groups!

A very pleasant terrace next to the water. The drinks were great, and the mocktail iced tea twist (with cucumber) was surprising. We ordered the appetizer platter for two, which was very generous, extensive, and delicious. It could easily have been shared by 3 or 4 people. Only two complaints: a bit too much variety in the sauces/dips (resulting in a lot being left over and thrown away), and the nachos with guacamole and sour cream were dry and overly seasoned. Plain nachos instead of paprika flavor would have made them better; as it was, they were too spicy. But thankfully, that was just one of the 10 snacks on the platter!

Went twice on a recent trip. Really good food, atmosphere and staff.

Tonight, my wife and I had two pina coladas. The worst we've ever had. Too much ice, not enough flavor, and even the filling was wrong. The bartender supposedly made it according to the recipe. Advice: learn from an expert. Our complaint was heard, and that was it. It's a shame it was our last evening in Dokkum.

Wir waren zwei Tage in Dokkum und haben jeden Abend hier gegessen. Am ersten Abend hatten wir die Spareribs und am zweiten Abend die Hähnchen Sate und Lasagne. Das Essen war sehr gut und die Bedienung auch sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Können wir auf jeden Fall mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.
