I have been here several times and Sam the owner all with all the workers whom I think most are family members are very friendly . I always have ordered the steak special and it has always been cooked to perfection . Very tender meat and medium rare. I have also tried a combination of the chicken and ribs also but have come back to my steak special as for the price you cannot find a set meal dinner for this price in Amsterdam. I will definitely be back and recommend San Pedro's highly. Jerry

Forgot about part of the order, waited 40 minutes and it never arrived. I ordered shrimp, they brought one stick with 4 shrimp on a horrible, smelly salad, which was impossible to eat. The check counted extra servings of bread, be careful and check the check. Service is terrible, when I said about the salad, I was told that they had not complained before and that everything is ok.

We star with some Gambas with garlic, very good. And I order the steak limbo, which was very nice accompanied with fries, mushroom sauce and salad. The owner/waiter was a very nice man and very kind too. Overall it was a good meal.

Might have been the best steak I have had. And only 36 Euro for the tenderloin and really great size shrimp. Cooked perfect medium-rare. Garlic sauce was good. Wasn’t needed, but still ate it!

We love this place and visit on every trip! They are open late and we can get in with a reservation. They are a family owned restaurant, that our whole family loves! Avoid the tourist trap and head down Haarlemmerstraat for this hidden gem.

From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The furnishings are stylish and comfortable, perfect for a fun evening out. The menu offers a wide choice of perfectly cooked steaks, and the meat was of top quality. I chose the ribeye, medium-rare, and it was exactly how I wanted it: tender, juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes, such as the grilled vegetables and the baked potato, completed the meal completely. The service was excellent. The employees were attentive, gave good recommendations and made sure everything was to your liking. The food was also served quickly, despite the restaurant being quite full. We went to this establishment with a reservation from the fork application promising us a 30% reduction. When we arrive, the owner forces us to order drinks while we are still waiting for 2 other people, then by talking a little with him, we understand that the 30% would only be an illusion and he invents lies for us to justify it to us... anything. The waiter does not answer the questions we ask him, has no idea of ​​the dishes he is bringing and cannot advise us. When we go to a "specialty" restaurant we would like the waiter to be able to tell us which dish is which and give us some little advice... The meat is quite good and is served in quite good quantity but the rest is scandalous. Everything is frozen and you can feel it! The fries are soft, the salad is old, the dressing is not good... It's really rubbish, especially at that price. Let's not even talk about average drinks costing €7 or charging €3.50 for water... And finally, the highlight of the show, the icing on the cake: the owner refuses to allow us to pay by credit card, he wants everything to be paid in cash, it all seems like a legitimate deal! Congratulations, it’s almost flawless horror!!!

The gentleman who served us said it was the best meat in Amsterdam. I don't know if that's true, I only went to this restaurant during my stay. What I can say is that it's VERY good! I ordered the Three Meats, which was wonderful. To die for! We also ordered the union rings, which were also perfect. I didn't like the empanadas, because of a seasoning that I don't like. But I feel the same way when I eat them in Argentina or Chile. My wife loved it! I think the gentleman who served us must have been right! I'll definitely go back to this place next time I'm in Amsterdam!
