Food didn't match pictures - sausages were dry. When we complained the waiter / host at Mendoza Amsterdam got rude, argumentative, assumed our nationality from our looks and made comments about it, then took our plates while still eating. Embarrassing service, never again.

The service was very friendly. The meat was good but burnt. Very noisy.

Excellent meal at a very reasonable price! The three of us ate there for lunch today and it was very good. I recommend it if you're in the area.

This restaurant will rip you off. We were charged a "extra" fee of 10 euros. When I asked what it was for I was told for service. I've learned this is illegal in Amsterdam. Also the food was just okay. Lots of bees around too, landing on my steak.

Meat at €35 for 400g (Argentine beef chorizo). At that price, you'd expect the meat to be at least somewhat tender and not too sinewy. Despite being cooked rare, it was tough to cut and full of gristle. The side dishes were good.

Food was delicious. Defs recommend the corn empanadas. Great options for vegetarians. I personally have a fear of taxidermy so we chose to sit outside. Unfortunately, there were quite a few drunk and disruptive people walking by. Great tunes going tho, which kept the vibes up

One of the very best beef filets I've ever had overseas! (I'm from a cattle farm in the US and am very picky about my beef filets :)) I arrived just at closing but they were kind enough to graciously accommodate my dinner request! Wonderful chef, owner and very kind waiter, WM Moklas! I walk with crutches, due to mobility issues, and I was in a bit of a crisis when I walked into their restaurant, exhausted, hungry and a woman alone on the streets after 9PM in a foreign city! They calmed me down, fed me a scrumptious dinner, and instructed me on where to meet my Uber in the midst of the canal construction with street names I couldn't begin to pronounce. Truly Good Samaritans running a delicious steakhouse conveniently located less than a block away from the Anne Frank House. Thank you dear Sirs. It was an absolutely wonderful dinner. The owner of the restaurant was exceptionally pleasant and the steaks are absolutely amazing. The mushroom sauce is an added bonus. Also don’t forget to get the baked potato. Don’t miss it.

If you want to eat delicious ribs and other delicious dishes in Amsterdam, this is definitely one of the best places. It's a really beautiful little place to look at and share a dinner with friends (like I did). In short, great location, great food, great service, and reasonable prices for Amsterdam—what more can I say?! Go and tell me!

We went in expecting an authentic Argentinian restaurant; the menu was even in Spanish. But the surprise came when we sat down and tried to ask about the dishes, only to realize that no one spoke a word of Spanish, not even in the kitchen. It was run by Arabs. The food was just okay, nothing special, not very tasty or well-prepared. It was somewhat disappointing to expect an Argentinian barbecue, but the dishes fell far short of what you'd expect from a good Argentinian restaurant. In short, if it ever was run by a real Mendoza, little remains of that era.

The steak is delicious! The meat is tender and soft, and cooked to exactly the level I wanted! It has a smoky flavor and tastes great. I wasn't very hungry so I didn't order extra fries, which makes the plate look a bit empty, but it was delicious. The owner is especially friendly and humorous.

We ate here on New Year's Eve with a party of eight and were unfortunately very disappointed. The service insisted on serving all the dishes at once. The result was cold food. My steak, priced between €35 and €50, was not only cold but also completely bloody, even though we had ordered it differently. When we pointed this out, we were told to sort it out with the chef ourselves. Very unusual and not good service. Things got really unpleasant when it came time to pay. We politely wanted to pay separately, as we were there as couples. The waiter reacted irritably, simply handed us the receipt, and told us to figure out who was paying what ourselves. Absolutely no help whatsoever. In the end, money was still missing, at which point the tone became even more unfriendly. Suddenly, they said that separate payment wasn't possible at all, even though it had been promised earlier. The atmosphere became extremely unpleasant by the end; we were ignored and didn't feel welcome at all. This was especially disappointing given the bill of around €400. Price, quality, and service simply don't match up here.

My group and I visited this fantastic restaurant after a close by museum. The server was sooo patient when our group of 11 rowdy Americans came in. Very attentive. Drinks came quickly and the food all arrived hot and at the same time (hard to do with 11 meals). Best of all,.... the food was great!

Picked Mendoza's off of Google maps. menu looked like it would have something for everyone in our family. We were greeted warmly when we got there. The food did NOT disappoint. It is a very small place. seats maybe 25 people. Great atmosphere. We sat at the open front wall and watched people and enjoyed the view of church across the street.

20 years ago I went to Arientina and ate asado. I thought it was the best meat in the world. Now, 20 years later, I came to Amsterdam and happened to be walking by and they sold Argentine meat, so I went in and ate it. It was so delicious that I vaguely remember it. The quality of the meat is very good.

Excellent service from a jovial and kind gentleman, the beers arrived promptly and were perfect for the warm weather, our food was piping hot, cooked to our preference and good portion sizes!
