We came here with a discount via The Fork. The shop itself offers the discount but still wants to make a very high profit at all costs. I ordered tenderloin twice but received steak, thinking we would get the cheaper option, even though I have worked in an Argentinian restaurant myself. He also forces you to order fries for 8 euros, otherwise you are not allowed to use the promotion. All in all, a bad experience. If you don't want people to come with a discount, then don't offer it. Due to all the hassle, we also drank very little because of the service, so maybe that compensates for it.

Good evening, this is Lucas. Overall, we had a good time because we were in good company, but we feel there are a few things we could improve. Let's start with the positives: the food was good and the welcome was great. The waiter had good energy and worked very well. However, the overall wait was very long; we were there for a total of two hours. We understand that the staff is doing their best, but there are only two people to serve and cook, and naturally, this impacts the wait time. The wait is the first point, and the second is the value for money, or rather, the quantity for the price. The dishes are generally expensive for the small amount (especially of meat) on the plates (even if it is very good). Thank you nonetheless for the welcome.

It was my first time trying out this steakhouse. But I think portion wise its not worth while the money. The Albondigas were way too salty and very small, same goes for the grilled mushrooms and it was even cut in half. Steak was also not tender...

I had an amazing experience at La Luna Argentinian Steakhouse. The steak was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. You can really tell they know what they’re doing when it comes to quality meat. An Argentinian friend recommended this place to me, so I went in with high expectations and it did not disappoint. If anything, it exceeded them. The service was also top notch. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. I definitely recommend this place if you’re in Amsterdam and craving a proper steak and the mango tequila ice cream? Everything was just beyond.

Had dinner with my brother-in-law on a Friday evening. Good place, though constantly busy so I would recommend making a reservation, but walk-ins are possible. It is a bit of a shame that the prices on The Fork don't match the menu at all when you are in the restaurant. It makes a huge difference. The discount promotion only applies to the main course and not to side dishes, starters, etc. But the food was good. The Empanada Carne and chorizo ​​starters were tasty. We had Plato Portono, a combination of beef tenderloin and sirloin. Fine. All in all, we had a good meal. Definitely try the Argentinian beer.

If only every restaurant in Amsterdam had such a great host; upon entering you immediately feel at ease, and the interior is very atmospherically decorated. The explanation of the menu was clear, and the food was delicious and exactly what we came for—good meat, and my vegetarian dish was also super flavorful. You might think it's a tourist trap because of the location, but it is actually a nice place for Amsterdammers too. I will definitely come back here.

The smallest waiter/waitress, with the utmost hospitality. Just the welcome itself is a delight, and then you still have to eat. Generous portions of delicious, original (Argentinian), and high-quality ingredients are all on offer. The red wine (Argentine, Malbeck) is highly recommended with these delicious (meat) dishes. After calling, our reservation was delayed by an hour. The woman on the phone was incredibly cheerful and friendly, and that was no different in the restaurant. From the moment we walked in, every employee greeted us with a smile. I've been to many restaurants, but the customer service here is truly on a different level. The food was also delicious for the price we paid. They responded positively when we wanted the sides as a starter and offered advice on the sauces to go with the dishes. All in all, one of the most cheerful staff members we've ever encountered, and for that reason alone, we would return.

Posso dire subito che la carne era di ottima qualità accompagnata poi da una buona birra argentina. Personale cortese e gentile che parlava anche un po' di spagnolo; prezzi ragionevoli. Abbiamo prenotato in questo ristorante dopo aver letto qualche recensione che parlava bene sia del cibo che del servizio ……inspiegabile per quanto mi riguarda ! Nonostante il ristorante fosse per più della metà vuoto abbiamo aspettato 40 minuti per l’ordinazione e un’ ora per le pietanze . Abbiamo dovuto richiedere più volte le Bevande perché non ci erano state portate e le posate per iniziare a mangiare. Servizio sgradevole e al limite dell’igiene . Un conto finale enormemente al di sopra del pessimo servizio e della qualità del cibo mangiato . Abbiamo fatto notare il nostro disappunto e il proprietario è stato del tutto sgradevole al limite del maleducato . Consiglio: evitare !!!!

Cozy restaurant in Amsterdam downtown. We went there spontaneously. Good was good, but nothing too special. Prices are okay However service can be improved. The waiter at the evening we visited the restaurant was almost alone and very busy/uncoordinated. While taking our order, he stopped and served other people or took their order. He was annoyed when we asked again if we could complete our order. We did not feel welcomed. Maybe the service is better if you come there on another day, which is not that busy

Absolutely not recommended; there are clearly scammers at work here. We booked through TheFork, which included a 50% discount. When we tried to pay, they said it wasn't possible, that there was a system error, and we should sort it out through TheFork. They told us no, they should have sorted it out through the restaurant itself. So now we're stuck with over €100 that we were cheated out of. Absolutely unprofessional behavior and I don't recommend this. Naturally, they didn't respond to our inquiries.

The empanadas and bread/butter were great but the rest was average and for the price not really worth it. The redeeming factor is that the waiter, Mario, works hard and is super nice, taking time to talk with you. He truly made our meal experience less frustrating.

Near the famous Leidsplein, in the middle of the nightlife, restaurants, bars. We sat outside, even if it was a bit cool, warmed by the outside mushroom. The owner is very fussy with pleasantries. Very slow service. The coke paid 3.90 was already poured into a glass and completely empty of gas. The meat arrived cold, they kindly took the plate back to reheat it. The bread with garlic butter and the Argentinean sausages as appetizers were good. The house wine by the carafe for a price of 25 euros was a bit exaggerated... mixed grill ok as well as the t-bone. Booked with the fork with the discount that at the time of payment was absolutely not applied. I would not return... also because for 4 people the bill of 191 euros was excessive compared to the quality of the dinner.

Attended 29th May 2025. After another steakhouse on the same road let us down, I can say with certainty this place saved our evening. The host was warm, friendly and full of energy, really showed he was passionate with his work. Sat us on a table for 2 just by the entrance, with a recommended Malbec which was fantastic with our meal. I had a fillet steak, and my partner had the sirloin, both cooked perfectly medium rare. (Even included a surprise sparkler for my birthday). All n all, this guy needs more business, it’s criminal he’s not got more. If and when I return to Amsterdam, I will be visiting again.

We ate a delicious rump steak and entrecote here. 200 grams was really 200 grams (or maybe more) and the pepper sauce was very tasty with the steak! Really try! I really wanted my steak to be very rare and it turned out great! I often find that they still don't do it right at restaurants. Cheers! We entered the "La Luna" restaurant on the evening of 12/31 without a reservation. The owner Mario welcomed us and made us sit in a very friendly and warm way. We ate Argentinian meat, quality, fresh and good, excellently cooked, with good side dishes too. The location was very nice, welcoming and clean. We returned for another evening despite the many clubs in the area. Recommended for all those who love meat.
