Disappointed in the quality of the food and poor service. I had high expectations for the food but unfortunately... The sirloin steak was dry and there was little flavor to the meat. Quality meat with a skilled chef can also make a juicy well done steak. What mainly let down the experience in this restaurant was the service of the staff. They pay no attention to the guests and only sit behind the bar talking to each other and then forget your order. It took 1 hour for the main course to be served, while there were only 2 tables occupied in the entire restaurant, including my table. It's all very unfortunate.

A really nice romantic atmosphere/ambiance, nice view over the outdoor terrace and water. Never seen this side of Amsterdam North before and really liked it. Very friendly, pleasant waiter/hostess and of course the food and drinks are fantastic. I had 1 primitivo and Malbec with the meat...top. Japanese Wagyu.... worth repeating!

Really delicious food. The menu is not very extensive but more than enough to make a good choice. The wine list goes well with the meat served and the staff is very friendly. This restaurant is comparable to Loetje, which is next to it, but with a greater focus on meat. Fantastic experience.

Nice tent, hip and casual. Meat was extremely tasty. Starters a bit tasteless and the salmon tartare very little, the crouton was bigger than the salmon :/. Management did their very best and there is nothing to complain about.

Took my buddy out for dinner at this location on a weekday evening, had a very nice experience in this restaurant. The view is beautiful over the water, the food is really good and the service is also great. I will definitely come back here in the future!

We went to this magnificent restaurant a little outside the centre, but it was worth it both for the food and the wonderful service.

For the price it was disappointing. Dishes were not available. The luxury fries with truffle and parmesan cheese were disappointing.

The big new pearl of Amsterdam North and way better than what you can find on NDSM. Better food, quieter atmosphere because you can talk to each other normally (sound-dampening walls and ceilings), and not crammed with x amount of tables. Service is very friendly, attentive and correct.

The website assumes a nice location on the water, which sucks, but inside the store you sit behind a partition in half darkness, so you don't get anything of the view. Small menu and what you ordered happens to be out of stock. Undercooked Brussels sprouts as a vegetable, even after a second attempt, with a chef who loves his creations. I was there with a guest who is a trained chef and has worked at the best French restaurants. He was also not pleased with the decoration, presentation and what was offered. Too expensive for what is offered and certainly not hospitable. Amsterdam certainly has better restaurants. In short, a lot has to happen if they want to see me there.

Took an Uber at 8:45 PM from Houthavens to this restaurant…. Kitchen would be open until 9:30 PM according to Google. Unfortunately, big mouth, big bye, shame about taxi costs. Maybe the food here is tasty, but we'll never know... For us big ZERO!

Excellent steaks. Unfortunately a little too dark for my taste. Service could be a little more attentive, sometimes without drinks for a long time. But very good recommendations

My friends and I decided to go on a trip to Amsterdam. I wanted to have dinner somewhere nice, definitely steaks. I found this place and made a quick and easy reservation. I was impressed with the staff who were super friendly and kind. The food and drinks were unique. On our next visit to Amsterdam we will definitely stop by again.

Time to update my review 3 years after the first visit. This has always been my favorite restaurant in Amsterdam, but now they have really taken a step up again. The meat has always been very good, but everything around it is also just right. What a gem in an unknown part of Amsterdam!

Food: We ordered two steaks, the ribeye and the picanha and both were really nicely made steaks. Service: Our waiter was very attentive to our needs. Good all around. Atmosphere: a bit quiet but it looks like it was going to get more lively as we left This is a great find for someone who's on this side Amsterdam

Price-quality ratio could really be better! a steak for 32.50 that is clearly smaller than a cheaper variant. Fries are standard catering level, some self-cut/fresh would not be out of place in such a caliber tent, which is what they want to convey through the prices. Then the mayo is probably also chip sauce from a plastic bottle! Not a single piece of vegetable, even if it is visible... Dessert is recommended, could be a bit bigger but tastes good! Service reasonable, they are not asked for drinks again, guests are huddled in a corner of the 1/3 full restaurant.

Delicious food and very pleasant staff, if you like meat you should definitely eat here once. Edit: 26-07-2024 ate with colleagues and unfortunately 2 pieces of tenderloin were cold inside "I think I waited too long until the main course arrived at the table, so the meat had cooled down" I also thought the fries were not warm enough. I thought it was a shame because I regularly visit meat and co, but yesterday I had a bad experience.

Had a delicious meal at Vlees en Co. Even for me as a vegetarian there were tasty options! We sat with our baby on the terrace in a quiet place. Well-trained service> big plus! You don't see that often these days, so it's highly recommended.

What nice girls in the service :) you don't see that often in Amsterdam anymore. Location nice! Food tasty! And excellent wine. The terrace could be decorated as nicely as inside, but it is not a nuisance. Nice surprise and will come back.

A very delicious steak restaurant. I ordered the Wagyu steak and it was perfect. Nice location on the canal. Slightly dark inside the restaurant which made it difficult to read the menu -) but otherwise the food was spot on.

Food is good. Despite the name, also vegetarian options. The location is still (?) not very nice and the entrance is not very striking. Nice interior and friendly service. Parking is difficult.

Bavette, côte de boeuf and waygu beef: A winning trio! The bavette was glorious, and each bite of the waygu makes you close your eyes to take it all in. The waiter who took care of us was friendly, profesional and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. The bill was high for a Wednesday night but reasonable considering all we ordered (and we were only 2 ^^) and the quality that was delivered. Thanks a lot!

If you have a small menu with some specials, you have to make sure everything is really, really good. And Vlees & co has succeeded miraculously. High quality meat perfectly prepared. Sides and sauces that compliment the whole and desserts that are also the perfect ending. The only comment I would have as a coffee snob is to check how hot your coffee gets in the machine if you wait too long to brew it. That is an art that would make the whole even better. Still 5 stars. Do you like meat and do you want to eat good, yet very affordable food? This is where you need to be! There is also a dock for your boat. So more happiness after a day of sailing. Go there, drink, eat, be even happier!

Great food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. A little off the beaten track, but I really enjoyed that. We had bao buns and gyoza to start, followed by ribs, with a salad and chips and the most gorgeous stoopwaffle dessert to finish. If you're in Amsterdam Noord, I'd highly recommend Vlees & Co!

What a nice and delicious restaurant! Had a super tasty meal here after a day in Amsterdam. We are fans of Vlees & Co and couldn't resist going to this location. What a super nice and quiet place on the water. Friendly service with a passion for their profession, an attractive and chic interior and such high-quality food. Everything tasted delicious and I understand that this is called the meat restaurant of Amsterdam-Noord. We'll be back as soon as we're in the area again. Thanks for the nice evening!

What a surprisingly good and tasty restaurant this is! Highly recommended. Starters, mains and desserts were of excellent consistent quality. We enjoyed the carpaccio, pork belly and bao bun, the piccanha, hamburger and the stroopwafel, snicker plus Coffee and co (4 chocolates). Top! We will definitely come back!

It took a long time before we got food

Had a delicious meal 5 months ago and gave a 5 star review. Went back this week with the expectation that it will be good again. Too bad the meat (for which you pay 30 euros) is not properly cooked. Even after asking to cook a little longer... it came back burnt. See my "medium" cooked steak below Too bad! Cocktails are of a high standard.

Delicious food in this restaurant, really quality meat and side dishes. The atmosphere is good, it is tastefully decorated. The service was very friendly!

The stake was quite good and well baked. The prices where I think quite high for what was offered. There was no side salad , the potatoes were very average ( I've had way better potatoes at a fish restaurant in ijmuiden , Frederick's potatoes ) , the place is new , but since they like to bring the stakes on a small grill with charcoal , after half an hour the whole place was smokier than a coffeshop , for a entry level stake 2 salads and 4 deserts , we payed 250 euros ( 4 people).was it OK? Yes am I going again ? Nahhhh

So over priced for nothing The food was ok I can get the same quality at any cafe in Paris unfortunately The cocktails were pre-made…. And still overpriced A big scam for 160 euros for two people you better go to a proper restaurant.

Had a delicious meal at Vlees&Co. Very nice that they are open on Mondays and the meat is bizarrely delicious. Definitely worth it. We will definitely come back here again.

Had a great evening with delicious cuts of meat at Vlees & Co. Certainly in Amsterdam there are plenty of options for parking (at least on the street). Nice atmosphere. While we experienced the service very quickly (and fleetingly) at the beginning, at the end of the evening we had the feeling that we had forgotten it. The cuts of meat, including the carpaccio and Stone Ax Wagyu Rump, were very tasty.

Original and delicious before, main and after dishes. As a meat restaurant, they live up to their name. Just a shame about the mayonnaise. Tip: We thought the mayonnaise was too sweet.

The meat was okay but nothing special. Good portion of fries to go with the meat, but I feel the meat itself is overpriced. Service was fine but a bit slow.

Saturday night - frosty reception, rude and sharp staff, undercooked Padron peppers. Steaks were fine but that was all I can speak well of the place. Avoid if you can. Service really ruined the experience.

Wagyu steak was tasty but cold.

Normally we thought it was really tasty here and the meat quality was good. Service was always normal but this time I couldn't eat the meat and neither could my girlfriend. One of the staff was also very unfriendly. Everything took super long and no apologies or anything. Never again for us after we have been many times.

Puur vleesrestaurant, maakt deel uit van een (kleine) keten. Maar desalniettemin héél lekkere bereidingen. Zeker zeer goed kwaliteitsvlees, dat proef je gewoon. Wij waren wat aan de late kant, het was ook nogal kalm en kregen rond 22h de lichte indruk dat ze de tent wilden sluiten gezien de vele opruimactiviteiten rondom ons. Maar we werden zeker niet buiten gewerkt.

Redelijk vlees. Maar de ladysteak is een stuk minder lekker dan een biefstuk bij Loetje.

Ziet er leuk uit en vriendelijk personeel. Eten viel een beetje tegen vergeleken met de prijs.

Haben noch nie soooo gut gegessen , für Fleisch Liebhaber ein Besuch wert mit so viel Liebe serviert ,und das ist noch nicht alles ..Ambiente einfach nur super , ein klasse Team kommen gerne wieder ..

The food was delicious and the service was kind. However, the table setting seems a bit inflexible. We had a reservation for 3 people at 19:00 but we ended up eating close to 21:00. We did not want to eat at the table next to the toilets, and it took some time to find us another since most of them were either for 2, 3, or larger groups. Some couples that arrived after us without reservation got a table before us because they were 2, then, it felt a bit upsetting and unnecessary to reserve so long in advance as we did. Luckily, the tasty food and friendly service make up for the long time we had to wait.

Heerlijk gegeten, de steak was prima. Bediening /personeel allemaal even aardig. Niet heel goedkoop, maar daar eet je dan ook wel heel lekker voor.

Stylisches Ambiente & fantastisches Essen, dazu die tolle Lage direkt am Wasser… wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Heerlijk eten, prachtig restaurant alleen de wc was wat donker. Personeel was vriendelijk maar er mag iets meer energie van afstralen.

Al even geleden dat wij er geweest zijn maar Vlees & Co in Amsterdam is onze favoriete vestiging van het concept. Vriendelijke bediening - heerlijke eten en fijne ambiance. Tot snel!

The cuts of beef were excellent. We had ribs stone axe wagyu and picanha. All with different scales of doneness, with which we didn’t have a problem at all with. The cocktails were also delicious. The restaurant looks great and most important of all, the waiter was super friendly.

Mooie locatie en fijn restaurant. Tot je binnenkomt erg lang wachten op ontvangst. 1900 gerserveerd en om 20:30 het voorgerecht. Hoofdgerecht vervolgens om 22:00 terwijl je gewoon raw / medium stuk vlees hebt. Helft van de kaart niet beschikbaar. Vlees erg slecht gebakken voor de prijs. Bediening matig vergeten gerechten, verkeerde gerechten, dubbele gerechten al met al matig. Kan toeval zijn maar zo lijkt het niet. Bij een goed steakhouse heb je beter vlees dan dit. Bakje met 3 druppels " pepersaus" moet de pepers nog vinden voor 2,40 euro echte kwaliteit prijs is ver te zoeken. Geen herhaling voor ons.

Fijne plek met mooi terras aan het water. Wij hadden ham vooraf: heerlijk! Ook de carpaccio en de lady steak met knoflookjus smaakten prima. Glaasje rode wijn erbij… mmmm. Ruime wijnkaart. Oh en ook de friet met parmesaanse kaas en truffelsaus is een aanrader! De bediening was ook heel vriendelijk.

Nu voor de 2e keer hier gegeten en kom zeker weer terug. Leuke gasten, heerlijk eten en een super sfeer. Beide keren was er een foutje gemaakt betreft de bestelling, dit werd super en snel opgelost.

A lovely, cosy, modern and stylish interior with an outside space. Fast service, Amazing food, Wide choice of all drinks - wine, beer, cocktails. All very good too! Amazing dessert. Just maybe some directions where to park your bike would be nice as it is located in living area and neighbours don't like when the bikes are parked in front of their houses

Heerlijk gegeten. Het vlees was heerlijk mals en goed bereid. Bediening erg vriendelijk. Ondanks de huidige verbouwingen om het restaurant heen, was de plek aan het water heerlijk.

Erg lekker eten, hele nette bediening en echt een eigen plekje qua booth in het restaurant.

Op aanraden van zoon Hebben we hier gegeten Hou je van goed vlees dan is het zeker een aanrader om te eten
