The food was a 1, everything else was fine. Almost 90 euros for a mixed grill for two, you expect something good, but it wasn't. The meat was ordered medium-rare - and it arrived like shoe leather, two prawns in the grill were stiffer than I can imagine, and a sauce they call chimichurri, but it's only chimichurri in name. The good reviews are because they tell you that if you give 5 stars you get a free shot. The service was very good, the cook was terrible.

Extremely disrespectful service The food itself was good, but unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience. From the very beginning, the waiter had an extremely unpleasant and confrontational attitude. When we asked if we could order something small while waiting for the rest of our friend to arrive, he made comments that made us feel as though we were doing something wrong. Throughout the meal, he continued speaking to us in a rude and unnecessarily aggressive manner. At the end, there were three of us and we simply asked if the bill could be separated into three payments. We were told that this was not possible, so I decided to pay the entire bill myself. While I was paying, the waiter repeatedly made strange and inappropriate comments, including repeatedly asking me, “If you have money, it’s no problem, no?” I found this extremely disrespectful and unnecessary. After putting up with his attitude throughout the entire meal, I finally told him that he was talking too much and that his comments were making me uncomfortable. Instead of understanding the situation or apologizing, he became extremely defensive and angry. After I asked him not to make disrespectful comments during the payment, he responded by forcefully throwing the card payment terminal toward us, making a loud noise. This was particularly intimidating and completely inappropriate. I clearly told him that his behavior was disrespectful and asked him to stop, but he seemed completely unable to understand why his behavior was inappropriate. As we were leaving, he suddenly laughed loudly at us. When my friend told him that there was nothing funny about the situation and that his behavior was disrespectful, he responded in a confrontational manner, essentially challenging my friend to confront him. I genuinely don’t know if he was having a bad day or had something else going on, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers this way. The food was good, but unfortunately the service was one of the most unpleasant experiences I have had at a restaurant. I hope the management takes this kind of behavior seriously.

I demand that management take action against one of their servers! We were shocked by his behavior towards us this lunchtime. He was disrespectful, extremely unpleasant throughout the entire service, made us feel guilty, and asked us very inappropriate questions when we paid, only to laugh at us as we were leaving. He even provoked me into coming to blows. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior in my life… do something about it or your restaurant won't survive.

My family and I ate at this place today because we looked it up online as an Argentinian restaurant, which it was nothing of the sort. The waiter's service was terrible, and the food was very poor for the price. I don't recommend it at all!

Best Steakhouse Ever! We had an amazing dinner at Vila Maria! The staff was super friendly, and the food was incredible. We got the surf and turf, lamb steak, and sirloin—each one was grilled to a perfect, juicy medium and so tender we cleared every last bite off our plates. Even the fries were delicious.

Bad vibe. We felt unwelcome. The waiter didn't care to explain or answer our questions and when he does he doesn't with an attitude. No one asked us how is the food or if we need anything. Had to call for the check twice. Overpriced. Wouldn't recommend.

Stopped in while in town on business. After reading reviews all signs pointed to Villa Maria. They did not disappoint, the service from Ricardo was nothing short of phenomenal and the steak was prepared to perfection. Definitely will be back! If you are in the area, stop by and tell them Justin sent you!

We ate here with the family. We had nachos as a starter so the children could join in the fun. They were served with fresh guacamole and sour cream. The guacamole, in particular, was delicious! For the main course, we had steak. The meat was very tender, truly medium-rare with beautiful diamond-shaped grill marks. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Villa Maria pleasantly surprised me. We would love to come back again. Thanks, Ricardo!

Fantastic dining experience! I had the ribs and chicken wings, and both were delicious, tender, and full of flavour. The portions were generous, the service was friendly especially to Gabrielle, she was very attentive!, also, the atmosphere was great. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it!

Are you going out for a night in Amsterdam and want to eat a nice piece of meat? Then go here. The meat is very flavorful. You don't need any sauce or salsa with it. Tender and perfectly seasoned. It is a simpler place in terms of decor, but the food is top-notch!

Delicious steak and the service divine!

First time in Amsterdam and not knowing what to do for dinner, we stumbled upon this restaurant. I have to say that we probably couldn't have eaten better anywhere else. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fajitas were excellent too! And not to mention, the service was top-notch! Definitely recommended for those who haven't been here yet. We will certainly be back!

I made a reservation in advance and made it clear that I use an electric wheelchair. Everything was in English. Ultimately, upon arrival, it turned out there was a very high threshold without a wheelchair ramp. We left again.

Horrible experience. I came here with friends visiting from abroad because we wanted to enjoy a good Argentinian steakhouse. The steaks were decent - nothing exceptional, but well presented. What completely ruined the evening was the service. We ordered some pints of beer, and they were flat and warm. When I pointed it out, instead of apologising or offering to replace them, the waiter argued that “it’s Heineken,” as if that somehow explained why the beer was flat. It doesn’t. Flat, warm beer is bad beer, regardless of the brand. After that, we were completely ignored. Our empty plates sat on the table for quite a while, and nobody came to check on us. Eventually, we had to ask for the bill ourselves. To make matters worse, the bill included items we never ordered or received, including coffees and soft drinks. Mistakes can happen, but this was just another example of how poorly the evening was handled. I also pointed out that their website advertises a 25% discount for online reservations. The waiter, who appeared to be the manager, simply said “no” and walked away without any explanation. The final interaction summed up the experience. After asking whether we would pay by cash or card, I replied, “Card.” The response was, “Oh, you don’t have money?” Apart from being unprofessional, it was a bizarre comment - especially in the Netherlands, where paying by card is the norm. The food was acceptable, but the service was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional from beginning to end. I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it. *I almost forgot it - we reserved a table outside, but when we got there and asked for it the waiter just said “We don’t have outside” - when they clearly had free tables outside. And just walked inside without any other word.

The restaurant is located in a quiet spot. A beautiful and original restaurant, with excellent service and impressive food. I recommend it 100%, a 10/10 restaurant.

My son and I had a nice dinner at Villa Maria. We enjoyed a lovely grilled steak and chicken fillet. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, we were sat inside.. Our food was served quickly and there was a nice atmosphere. All credits to Ricardo! Many thanks for your service and lovely drink.

Overpriced considering the quality of the food

This place was amazing! Meat was excellent, highly recommend the mixed plate for two for $66.80. The beef was tender, the lamb was succulent, the ribs were saucy, and the margs were strong. Our server was funny and attentive without rushing us, and he offered us free limoncello after our meal.

Had an amazing meal with my mum whilst in the city. I had the 300g Argentinian Sirloin, and my mum had the Chicken with ribs. We both had corn on the cob sides, as well as a side salad and a chips between us. Everything was cooked to perfection and was incredibly tasty. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, and cannot do enough to please. The prices are incredibly reasonable, we were amazed at how little the bill was considering the high quality of food. Definitely recommend to anyone in search of proper food!!

The meal for two (chicken, ribs, lamb chop, beef and sausage with corn and salad) was cooked too perfection. Would recommend and would return agin in the future. The after dinner cappuccino was the perfect end to the meal.

First night in Amsterdam and the meal here was a wonderful way to start our holiday. Food was great. They live up to having the best ribs in Amsterdam. And to end our meal we were offered a free cappuccino. That’s great service. If you are ever in Amsterdam and want a steak or ribs. Come here.

This was a great place! We had amazing service; our waiter Bassin, was stupendous. He talked with us, and had an amazing personality. He really made this restaurant light up. Bassin was so nice and everyone in my family loved him. Highly recommend coming here, and we had the BEST service. Bassin made this an amazing experience.
