From Texas here went to Amsterdam for new years 2026 I was recommended TDQ by the concierge at the Sofitel hotel. That was one of the best steaks I’ve had the mushrooms are to die for. Highly recommend

This restaurant in Amsterdam is unreal. I’ve been there 6 times, and I genuinely don’t visit Amsterdam without going there. The steak makes my eyes tear up — not from spice, just from how insanely good the steak is. Perfectly cooked, ridiculously tender, and packed with flavor in a way that makes most “great” steakhouses feel average. Best steak restaurant in the world, no exaggeration. It will change your view on steaks forever.

Have been coming to Toro Dorado for the past 3 years, amazing selection of steaks from all around the world. Never fail to make you feel welcome, service is great. Will definitely be back.

Ordered a Scottish Black Gold steak - Medium Rare, along with Chianti Classic Red Wine. Probably the best steak I had in Amsterdam. Had a lovely chat with one of the hostess - Toma. Very eloquent. All in all, a good New Years Day.

Wow, what a life-changing experience this restaurant was! As you can see, there were a lot of negative reviews, like waiting over an hour or, even worse, your order not being processed and you having to wait another hour. I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews and went anyway, and well, I was blown away. We went in, placed our order, got our main course and two drinks, then waited for our drinks to arrive. We were still waiting for the manager, who was giving us a terrible attitude. I didn't understand why, but I started wondering. I didn't pay much attention and didn't say anything to my wife. After waiting for an hour and twenty minutes, another waitress arrived and said, "So, what are you having now?" in a curt tone. That's when I understood why the manager was so angry; she thought we were just ordering a drink. I was already uncomfortable with the manager, and then I completely lost it. It was the biggest scandal of my life! I was incredibly rude to the waitresses and the manager. She apologized a hundred times, but it was too late. So think twice before going; this restaurant deserves 0 out of 5.

We went for dinner. The place is excellent and the service is perfect. They even helped us choose the best meat in Amsterdam.

A brilliant spot if you are looking for steaks; even the hotel recommends it. The Argentine filet with garlic mushrooms, broccoli, and cauliflower was lovely. Cooked really well and well-priced portions. Sauté onions were out of this world !!! The Mont Gravet Sauvignon was very drinkable. Shall definitely be back again. Great Food, great ambiance. Service was excellent. Definitely recommend! Colleagues had mentioned they have a crew discount but were told it’s supposed to be a prefilled form(?) We didn’t quite understand what the issue was but didn’t let that affect the experience. Objectively speaking, it’s a great little place and would come back.

What a wonderful evening! We ordered steak and salmon, and waaay too many French fries. (Turned out not to be too many- they were delicious.) If you want some great steak and beyond friendly service, don’t miss this spot. We were treated to shots of limoncello at the end of our meal- just perfect.

I went the restaurant to buy dinner as takeaway. The service was really nice. The steak was excellent but all the sides were all bad. The mushroom, broccolini and the mash. They spices the sides so much to try to get rid of the smell but as soon as I opened the lunchboxes the smell hit me and when I tasted the veggies they were even mushy. I love my sides so much so this was a big disappointment. Please serve your sides fresh because pre-cooked food from last week makes people sick if they eat it and also its just a waste of money. I was very disappointed in the sides

I true the Irish , Canadian and Scottish cuts and the mango salad and everything was delicious. The stake was juicy and cooked exactly how I like it . The salad was very tasty and the ambience very luxurious and high class .

Fantastic award winning irish steak, perfectly done! Medium rare to perfection. Malbec is really good, but the pepper sauce on the house was not your usual mushroom sauce with a bit of cheap pepper. This is the real deal! Fantastic!!!

My husband and I died here on our last night in Amsterdam, everything was delightful, we were ushered to a private tucked away table for two in the corner, ambience was cozy and romantic. We started with tuna, carpaccio, and a bread basket that was outstanding! We had Argentinian fillets that were cooked to perfection. Our sides were also awesome, mashed potatoes, cream, spinach, sautéed mushrooms. We got a surprise treat of a crème brûlée from the staff. All in all a fantastic dining experience that I would recommend.

This was a huge letdown. Very expensive and steak tasted a little off, maybe frozen or just old. Fries slewed basically just fried oil no potato. Sauces were basic and bland. Sorry but there are far better steak places around z
