Tourist trap warning: we ate at this restaurant despite its good reviews, and we were extremely disappointed. The burger buns looked like they came straight from the supermarket next door, the cheese was just an unmelted processed cheese slice, and the steak had absolutely no flavor. If you’re a fan of good burger meat, keep walking.

Here you can enjoy exquisite steaks... the sauces are also of excellent quality. We were looking for one of the best steak restaurants, and coincidentally, this one was near our hotel. I enjoyed it SO much... tender, delicious in flavor, and a huge selection. A quality establishment. Also a wide wine selection from all over the world. A small tasting wine included. Incredibly nice atmosphere, lovely service, and I even gave the chef a wave and a thumbs up. On top of that, a central, cozy location.

Update: I posted the original review 4 years ago. We visited again today for a birthday celebration, and everything was perfect! The chef always welcomes us like we were family and makes us feel at home. The steaks were amazing as always, and they even served us a free dessert and sang happy birthday. Thank you guys! Superb steaks, lovely service. This is where we go to celebrate special occasions. Never got disappointed. Thank you and hope to visit again soon

We visited this restaurant on the first day when we arrived Amsterdam. The steak was good and we enjoyed the lively vibe very much. Hence we revisited on the last night again. Surprised that Camelia still recognises us and remembers my girl’s name. The food is delicious as expected. We will definitely come back when we visit Amsterdam again one day.

Best Wagu we've had out side of Japan. Even the rib eye steak was excellent . Certainly worth a visit...

The food here was outstanding especially the starters and main course. Only regret was that I went with the bought in dessert instead of getting the in house made dessert as everything that was made in house was 5* quality. The Chrf was on point - Best scallops and crab cakes I have tasted in a very long time. The whole presentation was lovely. Main course meats cooked perfectly the way we asked. Our server Camilia was very attentive and very polite. Overall a highly enjoyable experience!!!

I’m currently following a strict ketogenic diet, and keeping it while traveling to a different city every day can be incredibly challenging. After having to turn down all the food offered on the plane and in the airline lounge — everything contained some form of carbs — I arrived in Amsterdam feeling genuinely disheartened. Out of habit, I opened Google Maps, half-heartedly scrolling… when suddenly, there it was: TDQ. I opened the menu and my eyes lit up instantly. It wasn’t just food — it was a feast for the senses. In that moment, I felt like a man lost in the desert who suddenly spots an oasis shimmering on the horizon. Could this really be real? Then I arrived. A space that is both classy and warmly welcoming, wrapped in soft bossa nova melodies, with a gentle and attentive staff who make you feel as though you’ve just come home after a long journey. And the food… simply extraordinary. The chef’s creativity is something truly rare — especially in the Nordic countries. Flavours are masterfully paired, bold combinations come together in perfect harmony, and every bite feels like a celebration unfolding in your mouth. I’ve been coming to Amsterdam for 25 years, and I can say without hesitation: this was the best meal I have ever had here. My sincere congratulations to the entire team. You’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of me around here.

Fantastic range of steaks from all around the world with a unique blend and variety of sides with it. I mean the steaks were top notch and each side went so well with them, my favourite place to go for steak, came all the way from London for this.

This restaurant was recommended to me by my hotel, Park Plaza Victoria, and it was absolutely delicious. From the moment you walk in, the place feels warm and welcoming. The chef personally greeted me, which was a lovely touch, and the lady waitress from Romania was extremely kind and attentive. A wonderful dining experience overall — highly recommended.

I don’t think it’s worth the money. I was there with a group of guests and ordered the surf & turf for myself. To put it this way: I asked for medium rare, but what I got was closer to medium to well‑done. The wine is also extremely overpriced. A bottle that costs 10–20 euros in the supermarket is 90 euros there—and that’s one of the cheaper options on the menu. Overall, I’d say it’s definitely not worth what you pay.

We visited here our weekend vaction, and the service from arrival was exceptional, all staff friendly, polite and the food was delicious. Our steak was cooked to perfection. We also met Qaiser, restaurant president who was absolutely welcoming and super friendly. We will definitely be returning in the summer.

I had a wonderful experience at TDQ Steak. I ordered the Scottish Black Gold steak, and it was incredibly flavourful—perfectly cooked, rich, and tender. You can really taste the quality of the meat. What made the visit even more special was the owner, Mr. Qaiser. He was so friendly, warm, and genuinely kind—a total sweetheart who made us feel truly welcome. Great food paired with amazing hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back!

From Texas here went to Amsterdam for new years 2026 I was recommended TDQ by the concierge at the Sofitel hotel. That was one of the best steaks I’ve had the mushrooms are to die for. Highly recommend

This restaurant in Amsterdam is unreal. I’ve been there 6 times, and I genuinely don’t visit Amsterdam without going there. The steak makes my eyes tear up — not from spice, just from how insanely good the steak is. Perfectly cooked, ridiculously tender, and packed with flavor in a way that makes most “great” steakhouses feel average. Best steak restaurant in the world, no exaggeration. It will change your view on steaks forever.

Ordered a Scottish Black Gold steak - Medium Rare, along with Chianti Classic Red Wine. Probably the best steak I had in Amsterdam. Had a lovely chat with one of the hostess - Toma. Very eloquent. All in all, a good New Years Day.

Wow, what a life-changing experience this restaurant was! As you can see, there were a lot of negative reviews, like waiting over an hour or, even worse, your order not being processed and you having to wait another hour. I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews and went anyway, and well, I was blown away. We went in, placed our order, got our main course and two drinks, then waited for our drinks to arrive. We were still waiting for the manager, who was giving us a terrible attitude. I didn't understand why, but I started wondering. I didn't pay much attention and didn't say anything to my wife. After waiting for an hour and twenty minutes, another waitress arrived and said, "So, what are you having now?" in a curt tone. That's when I understood why the manager was so angry; she thought we were just ordering a drink. I was already uncomfortable with the manager, and then I completely lost it. It was the biggest scandal of my life! I was incredibly rude to the waitresses and the manager. She apologized a hundred times, but it was too late. So think twice before going; this restaurant deserves 0 out of 5.
