Stokkenbar in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

Asked for currywurst and chips and was served a cone of chip with discusting curry sause! Avoid taste funky had to throw it away.

Amazing selection of drinks, perfect for hot, salty chips.

Nice one forgot to take a Pic 😅

The currywurst was delicious and the service was impeccable 👍

the crispy chicken is fire. lovely place and lovely owner!

Fries were amazing and i really liked the service of this place. Person double checked our order and asked if we wanted to change from a fries sack to a fries box since we were eating there instead of going out. I will definitly come back!

Had to wait 20 minutes for a toasted sandwich where the cheese hadn't melted and the pickle was missing, even though it wasn't busy.

It’s a really lovely little place with great food and a super friendly chef.

Best fries of my life. Perfectly salted and the mayo is an absolute banger. 10/10 would recommend. Guy who works there is also an absolute relatable legend.

Very delicious and good quality the fries is tasty

Great fries at a good price. The truffle Mayo and sausage loaded fries were fantastic.

Delicious fries, a nice atmosphere, and a great owner. Definitely worth repeating

Tasty fries, nicely crispy. The staff was very friendly.

We came all the way from Spain!! The truffle fries are delicious!! Very central location with plenty of seating

best fries i ever had! the parmesan truffle fries were amazing

the best fries in the world good prices

Passable considering the high price of fast food with loads of sauce. I've had much better for that price.

Way too Expensive. I really would not go here. Bad quality chicken burger, way too overpriced!

Really yummy but a little difficult to eat✌️

Dearest reader, Pray allow me to draw your attention to a most delightful establishment, discreetly nestled within a charming Amsterdam alley, just around the corner from Zara, in the very heart of the bustling city. Upon arrival, one is received with the utmost warmth and grace. The attendants, ever so cheerful and kind, greet their guests with genuine friendliness and even a playful jest, lending the experience a most personal and joyful touch. The setting is equally pleasing, offering comfortable places to sit and linger, whilst a gentle melody drifts through the air, wrapping the alley in a most inviting ambiance. And now, to the true delight: the fries. Golden, crisp, and utterly delectable, they are served in generous portions and, most remarkably, at a very reasonable price a rare treasure in such a central location. Indeed, dear reader, this hidden gem, tucked just beside Zara, is a most splendid discovery for any passerby seeking both flavour and charm in the heart of Amsterdam. Yours most sincerely, A devoted admirer of fine indulgences

Really, really great and a super employee!

Great service and delicious food

Nice hot dog and parmesan fríes

Delicious food and great service

Great food and service! Good amount of fries for the price!

I ate delicious sandwiches here and the service was great!

Favorite fries with mayonnaise and onions in the city center

The place is charming, with sublime decor and high-quality typical Dutch food at an affordable price for Amsterdam.

We had the Parmesan truffle fries. Very delicious!!

The food was very good and reasonably priced, and the portions were generous. The waiter was very friendly. Please note: if you need to use the restroom, there is a charge even if you order food or drinks.

The minced-meat sausage was amazing. Highly recommmend. It’s a must while in Amsterdam.

A very quiet spot because it's not on a main street. Delicious fries and great service.

Discovered this place coincidentally while seeking shelter from the rain, and the loaded fries suprised me! It was so flavourful and delicious, i had a great time!!

Very tasty very friendly. Good price! 💕💕

Rich croquette, rich bacadillos or baguettes, Recommended 100x100.

Loved this place , friendly staff and amazing chips xx

Very killer fries and very nice service!

Super delicious potato fries that actually taste like potatoes! Great service🙌

Delicious food, good and clear help and generally a nice atmosphere

Delicious fries for a reasonable price!

The food was delicious! I'd just gotten a sandwich from another Asian shop and threw it away to get one from Lucien. No regrets whatsoever. Fantastic!!!

Delicious lunch, good prices, and good, cheerful service. The food is ready quickly, and the location is pleasant and easily accessible! A great place to take a break after shopping.

Good location, fast service and good food

Food was amazing! So fluffy and warm, the owner was so lovely too. Such a good price for a whole meal! Would recommend.

Very nice man! Great service and delicious food.

They are always super nice and the food is good and super fast. The place is also always very clean

Delicious pancakes, savory, sweet, and specialties. Definitely recommended!

Lovely service from Deborah! The place is so welcoming would definitely recommend

Thank you for the helpful and clean place.

Great service and delicious food! It was quick! The atmosphere inside is very cozy, though a bit bare.

Great experience! Definitely worth repeating.

Very bad food. Would Never go again, disgusting!

We stopped by in a small side street just before closing time. The fries with Parmesan and truffle mayo and the pulled chicken fries were delicious.

They charge paying customers for toilet

We got simple truffle fries, but they were really great! Good truffle mayonnaise.

We got plain truffle fries, but they were really great! Good truffle mayonnaise.

The food was good but the toilets were paid and relatively clean and the tap was broken

The toilets are not only pay-to-use but also not clean; the floor is wet and dirty. There's no toilet paper, no soap, and the water tap and toilet seat are broken. I advise against going there.

Careful: fly in the fries! (you will not touch the sky) And no excuses from the manager... (Eating on the ground would be safer than in this "restaurant")

What a pity that the fries are no longer made from fresh potatoes. That was the reason for me to eat there. I was a bit disappointed, not a reason to go back.

very tasty hotdog. self service sauce was also nice

The fries are great, but the toilet is also payable for customers.

The five stars refer to the tastiest fries in the area!

What a rude place. We went inside to see if it wasn't too busy for us. We were shouted at that we had to order first! Well, not like this at all. I will never come back here. Review just edited after a polite response from the owner. Date of visit was Sunday 25 February. It was very busy inside that day and overcrowded. Perhaps irritation with the staff. But you have to be prepared for that and snapping at customers doesn't make it any better. If they had spoken to me politely I would have understood.

Get a delicious bag of fries for a reasonable price (for the center of Amsterdam, and such a good bag of fries). Staff were friendly and no-nonsense. Food was good and ready quickly, I was back outside in a few minutes with a great bag of fries. Recommended!

The best chips in Amsterdam. A decent selection of sauces (try their oorlog)

Truly the tastiest in Amsterdam! Those fries are nice and crispy and come in good portions, highly recommended

Sorprendentemente estaba muy bueno. Pedimos unas patatas medianas y estaban muy buenas y eran muy buenas. Muy recomendable para comer rápido y barato.

frische Pommes, nette Bedienung & keine Warteschlange 👍👍👍

It doesn't get much better. Really nice food

Sehr lecker und man kann in einer kleinen Seitengasse in Ruhe sein Essen genießen, wer auf Pommes spezial und Frikandel spezial steht, sollte hier essen, gerne wieder

Amazing place where to eat really nice fries, hotdogs and homemade Dutch food. Hidden street in the downtown where the tourists are not passing by and very nice friendly staff. Highly recommended! Dankjewel :)

Excellent home made original Dutch fries. Worth the 10 min walk from central station. No wait.
