Wir waren mit 2 Kindern vor Ort (3 und 5) und die Kinder wollten Bitterballen essen! Wir waren nicht in der Lage die Sachen zu bestellen weil man es nicht kombinieren konnte mit unserem Hauptessen Sorry absolutes NoGo gerade weil es Kinder sind -5* wäre noch zu viel an der Stelle!

Oof. How a campsite and its services can change for the worse. We are actually convinced multiple offenders, explicitly also from the restaurant. Unfortunately, the renovation did not do the company any good. When it comes to food, which used to always be overpriced, we can now only be horrified. For example, the burger has visually halved, but the price has increased significantly. In addition, the side dishes of fries/salad were eliminated. The range of dishes on offer has been significantly reduced and is no longer exceptional, but rather run of the mill.

Worst Fish&Chips ever! Smell was bad, taste was even worse and the fries were at least double fried and hard as hell! The fish was old … That‘s it! Service was friendly and fast, but was not able to cope with the feedback. At least and worst they charged the complete menu, although I left three quarter of the dish and claimed the bad food quality fair and friendly. No offer for a new dish, no offer to change the food, just a „sorry“. Unbelievably bad! My recommendation: Avoid this disappointment!

Everything was great, only the kitchen could be open longer (8 p.m.)

Service was a disaster and took far too long. Food was okay, nothing special, a little more cleanliness on and under the tables would be appropriate.

Average food (a lot if fat on meat), long waiting time (they ask you immediately if you are ready to order and then never come back to you), not friendly waitress (the blonde Dutch woman which was servicing us on August 11, 2024). The waitress told us to get out of her way in a rude manner. The Spanish waiter is however very friendly . Overall not a recommendation

Nice restaurant with completely overwhelmed service. We had reserved for 8 people and were given a beautifully set table, but it wasn't wiped down at all beforehand. At our request, this was rescheduled. Although we were able to place our drink order quickly, it took forever for them to arrive. In addition to dirty glasses, the drinks were only delivered piece by piece, so it took a while until you could finally toast. The food, on the other hand, came relatively quickly, unfortunately not at the same time, and was also quite good for the price. We then had to wait over 20 minutes for another drink order. We then discovered errors in the invoice. All in all, a somewhat sobering experience. The restaurant urgently needs a restaurant manager to instruct the service, because although the shop was busy, there were enough cellars there.

Nice restaurant, but how to properly run such a business is not known here. I don't blame the service, but I do blame the organization. If you put people to work without a goal or framework, it becomes a mess. Wait 90 minutes for your food. 20 minutes before anyone even came for the first drinks. Truly a missed opportunity. It's a shame that such a park charges the top price but doesn't want to spend money on a good manager. And when you see that your food is ready in the kitchen and then it stands there for another 10 minutes, so the fries are cold and limp. And to top it all off. The portion for the children was simply brought somewhere else, so our food was there and the children had to wait another 10 minutes. So we don't come here anymore.

We are now staying at Strandpark De Zeeuwse Kust for three days and have visited the Strand Café DOK several times. On the first day we had a drink. Even though the terrace was almost empty, it still took another 15 to 20 minutes before someone came to take our order. On the second day we wanted to have a drink in the evening. We asked twice if we could order and were told someone would come, but no one came. Finally, after asking a third time, we were finally able to order. The drinks came quite quickly, but the appetizers took 40 minutes to arrive. When asked, it turned out to be a dessert. This was resolved and shortly afterwards we received the appetizer. This afternoon we wanted to have lunch after first drinking coffee. We asked for the lunch menu, which was brought immediately, but both menus were dirty and covered in jam. After making a choice, we asked three times to be able to order. Each time we were told they would arrive shortly, but after waiting 40 minutes we gave up and left without eating. The restaurant and terrace look great, but the service leaves much to be desired. Staff walking around don't seem to have an overview and just walk around. Unfortunately we won't be back for the rest of our holiday

Very inexperienced staff. They don't notice when you want to order something, they leave food on the counter for a long time before they pick it up and serve it (food is lukewarm), they all walk together in the restaurant and on the terrace. There is no system in it. Two staff members quite rude: It seems to get less good every year. Food quite expensive. Pan of mussels. No fries and no salad, but the charge is 28 euros. Ordered fries separately. Was lukewarm and a bit tough. Fish and chips was lukewarm. Poffertjes for our daughter and were given to someone else. So she had to wait a little longer. Nothing was said about that until I walked up to ask. The lady at the counter reacted somewhat irritated.

Vorig jaar was het eten goed, de bediening vriendelijk maar heel erg onervaren en duurde het wachten lang. Deze zomer is de bediening uitermate onervaren, zien je amper en een aantal dames in de bediening zelfs ronduit onbeschoft. Je ziet de borden klaar staan bij de uitgifte maar pas een minuut of 10 later wordt het opgehaald door de bediening met als gevolg dat alles lauw was. Van de drie borden was het bord van onze dochter ook per abuis naar een ander gegaan. Daar wordt niets over gezegd tot we er naar vragen waar haar eten blijft. Er wordt door de dame in de bediening geërgerd hier op gereageerd. Ze had duidelijk helemaal geen zin in haar werk. Bediening heeft geen idee wat ze aan het doen zijn. Lopen allemaal door elkaar heen, zien je over het hoofd als je drinken wilt bestellen. Menukaart is helaas ook veel beperkter geworden. Super jammer, de locatie is heel leuk maar wij komen hier niet meer.

Nice restaurant, but service completely overwhelmed. We had reserved a table for 6 people in the evening and were allowed to choose a table outside. The place was very crowded but inviting. It took almost 20 minutes to get menus. We had to ask for the table to be wiped. We then waited another almost an hour for the drinks, a drink only came after 1.5 hours after we asked several times when the food was already there. It was then doubled on the bill. The food itself was okay, but too expensive for the price-performance ratio.

Food was good and the waitress taking the note was very kind... but the table was dirty and it was not cleaned, we had to ask for the eating cutlery and the napkins... food and drinks not ordered arrived to our table by mistake... And we had to leave the restaurant not having taken the desdert after waiting a while for a chhes table. Prices are like in a good restaurant but the cleaning and the organization is far from that. A bad choice for today's dinner...

Food certainly tasted good. Fish chips, vegetarian rendang. Also a nice place with plenty to do for children. Too bad that glasses were dirty and service took a very long time. And after having already ordered several drinks, a considerable amount is charged for a glass of tap water with the wine.

Very cozy furnishings. Food very nicely prepared and super tasty. We had a very nice and delicious evening. Especially the bruschetta starter, the dam deer and the strawberry dessert.

Oh what a missed opportunity! Ok, the weather was nice, it was busy, but that's no excuse. Waited 18 minutes in the bar for service. Manager busy shouting out the food, service busy… looking, but not seeing. So just sit outside. One waiter with a cupboard, zigzagging across the terrace, but we did not stand out. Until the runner noticed that we had nothing to drink yet... tables dirty, no overview, chaos... the main season has yet to start. We'll skip it this year.

Delicious fish and chips. Good food. Friendly service. We will definitely come back.

Service quality is a desaster since many years

Very nice restaurant and the food was also good. The waiter on duty here today must have taken Valium and he forgot half of it on the way from the table to the counter.

We had a very tasty meal in a very nice atmosphere and were very satisfied with the starter and main courses. The service staff was very friendly. 👍This is how it should always be.

In our opinion, this evening deserves 5 stars. The service was attentive and smooth. And the food was excellent. Our compliments to the kitchen brigade. Very tasty meal. Really great!

We are often guests at the campsite and at least once in the restaurant. Everything is always good, usually better inside than outside on the terrace. We were absolutely impressed by an autumnal dinner in October 2016, with the open fire and the cozy atmosphere! Update February 2024: very friendly, the food and service are great!

Had dinner at this restaurant twice in the evening and it was really delicious; venison, open ravioli, carpaccio salad….Also really good and friendly service and a cozy restaurant. And most ideal for young families; a large playroom and cinema where the children can go between meals. Super! We will definitely come back!

There are still surprises...I'm not allowed to order a snack in this restaurant if a main course is also being eaten at my table. I could sit at the table next to my family and order a snack and eat it... I've never experienced it before. In the end I was just about full from the main course...my husband wasn't...but you can't order snacks with it...amazing... Food was okay but for the price it should be better or the portion should be bigger...It's a shame...

War in Ordnung für einen Mittagsimbiss. Kann man gut mit Kindern hingehen. Service ist noch verbessungswürdig. Die vielen Leute die rumlaufen scheinen ein Konzept zu haben. Dieses funktioniert aber aktuell noch schlechter, als wenn sich eine Person durchgängig um einen Tisch kümmern würde

We searched for a restaurant via Goggle. Came across this one and were surprised that the reviews were so mixed since we were there last year and didn't miss anything. That's why we came here again and it was great. Staff unfriendly. Nice staff, food was also good and the ambience is in a class of its own. Great for families with children. There is a huge, newly renovated playground outside. The children can play around inside, either in the children's cinema or playground. So to all the complainers and bad writers. You are hurting companies and restaurants with your recessions. TALK to the staff or the person in charge rather than just writing a quasi-anonymous review in the toilet ;-)

Let me start positively... Very nice thing! Tastefully decorated But I won't dine here anymore... Service... very friendly but needs direction and guidance, walking around like headless chickens Food… bad… Tough… dry… 2 children shared a pan of mussels, apparently no fries or something like that comes with it, immediately ordered extra, but then it takes an extra 50 minutes :-/ Dishes expensive… average price is € 25 / € 28 for a main course, but that is without fries or salad, which costs € 5.00 extra each Then you can quickly find yourself eating a main course for €35.00. I think that is way too expensive for this restaurant without good service and mediocre food. Drinks take a long time, constantly empty glasses… Too bad... in the future we will only have a drink outside on the terrace while the children play in the beautiful, new playground...

Very long wait for the food. Kitchen was very busy while the restaurant was 30% full. Made a reservation at 5 p.m., still no food at 7 p.m. Worthless!!

The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor area. The prices are in line with the surrounding area. You just wonder why there is nothing going on here despite the large area. On our first visit (we only had something to drink) we were served very unfriendly. After our second visit we realized why there is nothing going on here. * the service was unfriendly * Brought the wrong drinks * a drink with cream was flaky (which can happen) * the quality of the food does not correspond to the price Unfortunately the complaint was not accepted and the staff was very unfriendly. The full price was charged. You shouldn't be surprised that the camping community doesn't visit the restaurant. Word like this gets around quickly and who wants to be annoyed on their vacation. It's a shame ☹️, but maybe our expectations are too... . There are a few other options in the area where guests will be treated better.

Save your money. Too expensive and the food is no good. Employees completely unmotivated. Ordered the burger with fries 3 times. Twice were brought and the third only after everyone had finished eating. As an apology we at least got 12 mini pancakes. Burger was fine and fries were ice cold. Ordered 2x children's menu which included fries and applesauce. We didn't get any of it and didn't ask anymore because we had lost our appetite. Paid 98 euros for this. Never go there again.

Service bekommt 2 Sterne da sie echt freundlich wären wir allerdings 2 Stunden auf unser sehr leckeres aber absolut teueres und ne nicht sattigendes essen gewartet haben. Seit Jahren wird essen immer teurer und die Portionen schrumpfen erheblich 40 Euro für ca 100 gr Fisch ne fritte und ne Coke ist schon happich. Der Service ist seit Jahren chronisch unterbesetzt ,ist nicht das erste Mal mit dieser warte Zeit haben auch schon mal den Laden wegen Wartens verlassen. Fazit essen sehr lecker aber nur die größe einer Vorspeise. Service sehr nett aber absolut unterbesetzt. Viel Geld für wenig essen.

Everybody is very kind here! Eating and drinking is delicious, but expensive for small portions. Friendly for kids and dogs. A playground and a cinema can be found here. All in all definitely 5 stars! Thank you

Nettes Lokal, leider wurde der Tischwunsch nicht berücksichtigt und wir saßen zwischen 3 Tischen mit Hunden, was in einem Restaurant nicht geht. Mein Lachs war sehr gut, der Burger (100 % Blank angus) war qualitativ trocken und keine100 % Rind.

Vanavond gegeten bij Dok. Het was schijnbaar te druk geweest want veel van de kaart was op om half acht in de avond. Het jammere was dat gerechten dus maar voor de helft werden geserveerd zonder dat dit werd verteld toen de gerechten op tafel kwamen. De beloofde korting nadat we ons beklag hadden gedaan werd niet verrekend. Personeel was voor de rest voornamelijk druk met elkaar.

Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt ganz und gar nicht. Die Entebrust sowie das Wildsteak jeweils für ca. 25 Euro (ohne Beilagen) waren zäh und ungenießbar. Koch war überfordert und Leute haben das Restaurant verlassen weil sie nach 1.5 Stunden noch immer kein Essen bekommen haben. Von der Karte waren um 19 Uhr lediglich noch vereinzelte Gerichte bestellbar. Viel Schein, hohe Preis und keine Leistung.....können wir nicht empfehlen.

Gezellig restaurant, ik had een slaatje met burrata en gegrilde perzik. En mijn vrouw een soep met kokos en gember. Alles was lekker en verzorgd. Vriendelijke personeel.

Heerlijk gegeten en super service

De inrichting is prachtig, het vrouwelijk personeel ontzettend leuk en er is meer dan genoeg te doen voor kinderen (veel speelruimtes, zowel binnen als buiten)! Het eten vonden wij helaas niet lekker en duur (slechte prijs/kwaliteit verhouding) en ik vond het ook borstvoedingsonvriendelijk in die zin dat ik mijn (goed afgesloten medela) tasje met afgekolfde moedermelk niet in de koelkast mocht bewaren. Had het eerst bij de snackbar gevraagd waar het niet mocht, vervolgens in dit restaurant waar het in de eerste instantie wel mocht, maar waar ik halverwege de avond toch aangesproken werd dat dit eigenlijk nooit had gemogen. Werd ook op onprettige wijze gecommuniceerd ("u probeerde het eerst al bij de snackbar (blijkbaar ook van hen)..". Wel vast een leuke plek voor de kinderen onder het genot van een kopje koffie o.i.d., maar voor ons geen tweede keer daar avondeten.

Gezellige bistro, lekker eten, heel vriendelijke bediening, goede verhouding prijs/kwaliteit. Met leuke speelgelegenheid voor (jonge) kinderen: een grote binnenspeelruimte en een mini bioscoop, super kindvriendelijk. Honden zijn welkom.

Interessante Deko und auch eine Karte der für jeden was bietet. Das Personal ist sehr engagiert und Entgegenkommend. Es befindet sich sofort neben dem Restaurant ein Indoor Spielplatz wo sich die Kinder austoben können.

Die Zubereitung der Speisen war sehr gut! Geschmack echt lecker und die Portion üppig. Im Preis würde ich sagen angemessen. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist in Ordnung. Jeder sollte etwas finden. Das Ambiente ist wunderbar. Das Personal war freundlich. Allerdings hat es sehr lange gedauert. Wir waren um 19.00 Uhr dort und haben unser Essen nicht vor 20.30 Uhr gehabt. Das Personal aus Küche und Service kam nicht hinterher. Es wurde u.a. zweimal darauf hingewiesen, dass auf ein Toiletten kein Papier mehr vorhanden war, ohne das dies aufgefüllt wurde. Schade, denn der Rest war echt klasse.

Sehr sauber, toller Kaffee und eine super freundliche Bedienung ♥️😊🤗 und der Ausblick ist auch nicht zu verachten 😅

De bediening is niet berekend op hun taak, het eten is niet slecht maar ook niet geweldig, als mensen vragen of ze nog een hapje eten kunnen maar niet hebben gereserveerd is het standaard antwoord, sorry maar we zitten vol terwijl dat helemaal niet waar is, wij vroegen om iets extra friet en dat moest ik 2 keer vragen, toen het na 25 minuten klaar was lieten ze het eerst nog eens 10 minuten staan, het was niet om over naar huis te schrijven, ongeïnteresseerd personeel, geef normaal minstens 10 tot 20 % fooi maar deze keer niet,en als het nu spotgoedkoop eten was maar de prijzen waren best pittig, verhouding prijs kwaliteit is totaal niet in evenwicht.

We have been there several times with the kids. Avarage quality meals. Majority of the service personel were not qualified. A few of them were good. I think they need training. The dishes were not always clean. They change them when you request. However it is better to check each time. Breakfast was fine. There is small play room for the children and a wall screen where they watch movies. Restroom was clean.

Leckeres Essen, gute Auswahl verschiedener Gerichte, toller Platz auch für Kinder, mit Kinderkino, Indoor- und Outdoor Spielplatz

Wir waren heute dort im Urlaub das erste mal zu Gast und das Essen war Ok, bis auf einen Burger der definitiv nicht frisch war (das Fleisch schmeckte trocken und fest, wir haben es alle probiert und kamen zu dem gleichen Entschluss). Die anderen hatten Muscheln und SpareRibs. In der Karte stand jeweils mit Pommes und Salat. Wir bekamen für die 3 Personen eine kleine Schüssel Pommes und eine kleine Schüssel Salat zum teilen. Die Schüsseln waren allerdings so klein, wie sie normalerweise als Beilage für eine Person ist. Auf Nachfrage sagte die Bedienung es sei so richtig, die Schüsseln seien für die 3 Gerichte gemeinsam als Beilage. Zum Service muss man sagen, es sind viele Servicekräfte da, allerdings weiß keiner so recht was er tun soll und dennoch muss man auf Getränke sehr lange warten. Leider habe ich es verpasst Bilder vom Essen zu machen, da meine Tochter versehentlich ein Glas runter warf und ich einen Handbesen in die Hand bekam um es weg zu machen, wobei ich von den Servicekräften durch das Fenster beobachtet wurde.

Echt een aanrader als je uit eten wilt met kinderen. Daarbij is het ook nog eens heel sfeervol ingericht.

Een goed restaurant met lekker eten en prima bediening. We hebben hier inmiddels zeven keer gegeten en zijn nooit teleurgesteld. Het kan soms wat luidruchtig zijn vanwege kleine kinderen. Honden zijn toegestaan.

Das Essen war unterdurchschnittlich ( Fritten waren kalt und hart) , das Personal ist kein gelerntes. Eiswürfel wurden mit der Hand ins Glas gefüllt. Die Gläser waren permanent schmutzig. Die Frittenbude im gleichen Gebäude ist besser

Sehr freundliches Personal, das Essen war sehr gut, kann man nur empfehlen!

Mooie inrichting, goed eten, maar ontzettend langzame bediening. Het lijkt net of het (bijna) allemaal stagieres zijn, ze zien het niet en er is duidelijk geen goede bedrijfsleider, die het zootje aanstuurt. Waarom gebruiken ze geen handhelds? Ze laten daar bakken met omzet liggen.

Die Vorspeise Hawaianiches Sushi... klasse.. Das Hauptgericht gegrillter Seebarsch...der Hammer. Der Merlot...wunderbar. Service gut... Preise absolut korrekt.. Nächstes Jahr wieder.
