Great location but not enough staff; unfortunately, there was only one person to take orders and payments for the entire terrace at lunchtime! If you don't order drinks and food right away, you have to wait at least 20 minutes for the waiter. Many items on the lunch and snack menu weren't available, probably due to the staff shortage. All in all, quite disappointing for such a beachfront location, as many guests left after their drinks because of the wait times.

The service was unfortunately severely understaffed and therefore overwhelmed. The apple pie hadn't arrived – the restaurant couldn't be held responsible for that. There were plenty of alternatives from the extensive menu. Despite being overworked, the server was extremely friendly and made the best of the situation. Not all the tables were occupied. It took a good 35 minutes to place our order, the order itself arrived after about 5 minutes, and then paying was delayed again. The kitchen was clearly well-staffed, but the service was not.

Great view, but due to the wind, food was only available inside :) The food was good, but you definitely pay a premium for the view. A burger costs almost €24. The staff was helpful.

Lovely terrace. Great service and good food.

Average beach club. The staff is generally friendly. The decor could be cozier, although blankets are available for colder moments. Unfortunately, the food was a bit disappointing. The chicken schnitzel was quite small, the fries weren't great, and the hamburger bun was tough. The mushroom sauce and the salad were very tasty, though. Not a place to return to.

Not a good experience for us with a child. We had to wait a very long time, and when we spoke to the waitress and asked her to cancel the order, she told us in an extremely unfriendly tone that we had already been waiting for half an hour and that this wasn't McDonald's. So I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to families.

One of the most beautiful beaches. I can't comment on the food, etc., as we didn't eat there. But it was incredibly peaceful.

The atmosphere and view was good. It was really expensive but that wasn’t even the biggest problem. First, it took long for the drinks to arrive, then it took long for them to take our food orders. After that there weren’t any waits because we didn’t even get the chance to order something else because no one ever came to our table, not to ask if everything’s fine, to ask if we need anything else, or to pick up all the empty glasses and bottles. When we almost finished eating, we called a waitress and she told us she would come, but she didn’t. So we didn’t order anything else. And that wasn’t all, my drink didn’t really arrive the same as it was shown on the menu card, and almost half of the clams we ordered were empty. So all in one, it was fine but the service was a problem to us.

We wanted to have breakfast at this place and sat down at 11:15 (15 minutes after opening). We were served immediately, but there was no iced coffee yet, as it hadn't been prepared. Afterwards, we wanted to order food, but unfortunately, no one came back to serve us. We waited for over half an hour until one of us went over to the restaurant across the street (unnoticed by everyone). We immediately decided to switch places. To pay, we even had to go inside, as payment was only possible by card because the only waitress was busy outside. A real shame. Perhaps we were just unlucky, but our experience wasn't great. The ambiance is lovely, but the service – sadly, not so much.

I ate there with my family. The food was very tasty, but it was very loud behind the counter; dishes and glasses were flying, it was clattering, and very chaotic...

See photo, they call this a chicken salad for 16.50. 15 cm of lettuce, 2 pieces of cherry tomato, and a deep-fried half chicken corn dog (at least that's what it looked like the most). THAT IS NOT CHICKEN!!!! The table was sticky, food on the floor, and I think the waitress just wasn't in the mood that day. I just wanted to have a drink with my daughter, but apparently it's the most normal thing in the world that it has to be this way. I would rather not have given any stars. If I ran my business like this, I would have gone bankrupt long ago. Filthy, dirty, and tasteless place; it could be so much better with just a little more effort (and that really has nothing to do with a staff shortage, I should know).

This is really a great place. The atmosphere is good, the service is super, the food is amazing. Yes, really a nice, clean place.

Ordered a wannabe Smash cheese burger which had nothing to do with a smash burger. That was even not real meat and then 22,50€ for this. What a joke. Next thing the team is instructed by the owner to tap the beer way less below the 0,5L /0,3L mark. Very very poor if they had to play by these rules. Cannot recommend this place at all. Pity

A fantastic spot right on Renesse beach. I had a pizza burrata and my girlfriend had a tuna salad. Both were absolutely delicious. Afterwards, we had cappuccino and a non-alcoholic mocktail, a mojito. Everything was very tasty, too. If you manage to snag a shady spot, you can easily spend a long time there. If we ever vacation in the area again, we'll definitely eat there again.

Unfortunately, we had to wait over 20 minutes to order, waving and trying to get their attention... then the bitterballen arrived very quickly, but without mustard. They didn't seem to have been prepared with care. The staff wasn't very friendly and seemed unmotivated. A shame, considering the location.

A beach pavilion is perfect for a quick bite and a drink on a beautiful day at the beach! But woe betide you if you have hungry children! Give this place a wide berth! Everyone in front of and behind us got a table without kids, but we were told (quote): "I don't have a table for YOU!" Thanks a lot! At least put up a sign, then people could save themselves the wait!

Cozy beach bar on the beautiful beach of Renesse. The food was of good quality, with an excellent pina colada. The hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The prices were also commensurate with the quality. It's just a shame that they close so early.

Service was a bit slow, but the food was delicious. It's a bit pricey, but you're right on the beach with a great atmosphere.

The view from the terrace is simply amazing. The windows could use a cleaning now and then, and the restrooms perhaps a more frequent cleaning throughout the day. We have no complaints about the service or the food. It was delicious, and the service was always attentive but not intrusive.

Cozy beach bar on the beach; you can sit inside or outside. Outside, you are sheltered from the wind and have a beautiful view of the sea.

A very popular restaurant, but they don’t respect a reservation and close whenever they feel like it. Left standing at the door in sweltering heat after reservation for our evening meal was scrubbed and not so much as an apology or a simple call.

Very dog-friendly – ​​we were given a spot on the couch with a sea view. The dogs were also allowed to snuggle up on the couch; it was a lovely evening. The vegan burger was delicious too!

I'm not easily impressed, but sometimes you stumble upon a gem—and this beachside restaurant in Renesse is one of them. From the very first moment, everything felt right: the relaxed atmosphere, the sound of the sea in the background, and the aroma of freshly prepared dishes. My salmon sandwich wasn't just delicious; it was packed with fresh ingredients and, above all, a generous helping of love. Every detail seemed carefully prepared. The staff's friendly smiles made the experience complete—truly the icing on the cake. The hour-plus drive was more than worth it. This is one of those places where you not only eat well, but also truly unwind. Highly recommended for anyone who loves pure food, a pleasant atmosphere, and a touch of the sea.

The perfect place for a drink after a long walk on the beach!

A short walk from the parking lot to this beautiful location. The weather was still beautiful today, so it was packed. Friendly and enthusiastic staff who handled the crowds well. Enjoy the delicious carpaccio sandwich!

The food and drinks were good. We were unlucky with the service. We only received cutlery after asking. The salt and pepper grinders were all damp.

It looked like a nice place, including the decor. We tried several times to get the waiter's attention to order something. When, after fifteen minutes, no one had come to us, we just moved on; what a shame!

Unfortunately, there was no service. At least, no one who wanted to attend to guests. Renesse in the fall with a mixed weather forecast meant thick jackets and the anticipation of strolls along the beach and a stop at a lovely beach bar. With little wind, we deliberately found a nice spot. The place was sparsely packed. After the first five minutes of visual contact with the bar and the three people "working" there, we didn't think anything of it. After ten minutes, it felt a bit odd, and after 15 minutes, we left in annoyance. With about 20 guests and the staffing, we didn't bother to call for service.

The ambiance and food are typically Dutch. The location is right on a wide stretch of beach with a fantastic view. Almost all of the staff speak perfect German. Directly across the street is a sandbank where numerous seals often sunbathe. It's a beautiful sight to behold.

I rarely give restaurants a bad review, as if I don't like something, I usually assume it might be due to my personal taste. In this case, however, it seems as if the restaurant is trying to discourage customers from ordering by charging excessive prices. If you do, you're "rewarded" with very long waits and carelessly prepared food that also tastes disappointing—presumably to prevent you from repeating the same mistake. The selection of dishes also leaves a lot to be desired.

Great location right on the beach. Friendly staff, excellent selection of drinks and food. Especially when the weather isn't great, it's nicer here than in the crowded resort.

The waiter who was present (he didn't do anything else) should be ashamed of himself. He didn't even look at us for 15 minutes. No hello, no wiping of the table, no taking of our orders, nothing. And he cheekily kept walking past us. The other guests also seemed very unhappy with him. Everyone had to chase him for something. We then went to the restaurant across the street and received excellent service there. This guy is definitely in the wrong job, and the owners shouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior!

We were there this evening with five adults and two kids. First of all, we had excellent service, who spoke perfect German and was really very friendly, child-friendly, and on the ball. The food was also delicious. A starter was enough. The setting is gorgeous and deserves another five stars.

A very unpleasant welcome. My heavily pregnant wife and I wanted to eat something. I checked outside to see if there was a place to sit, away from people smoking. The waitress unfriendlyly suggested we sit inside. Then she told me that "I'm probably one of those people who thinks you shouldn't smoke on the beach." I thought that was a strange comment. I said yes because I'm an avid non-smoker. (I later found out there's a smoke-free zone on the beach. We're not from around here.) The waitress then expressed her frustration about not being allowed to smoke, etc. It was a strange, unprofessional, and unfriendly welcome. It was a strange, one-sided encounter, while we just wanted to sit somewhere away from cigarette smoke. The food was expensive and nothing special. The atmosphere was okay; we sat inside. The restroom wasn't very clean. The table wasn't very clean either.

We had to wait 20-30 minutes till someone took our order, and another 30 minutes for it to be brought ought. The waitress was kind and took care of disabled people. I had the fish and chips, the small salad could have taken some sauce but other than that the food was good. But it's pretty expensive, it has tourist prices, I recommend it, but I probably will not be coming a second time.

We as a family really enjoy staying here. Especially off-season, you can relax, enjoy the sea view, and unwind. During the holidays, it can be very busy, so it takes a little longer. The staff are always friendly, and even when it's busy, everything feels relaxed, and the high quality doesn't falter.

We were there with 6 adults and 7 children. The nice ambiance was definitely a positive. The drinks, cocktails, and Aperol were also very tasty and reasonably priced. The negative, unfortunately, was the food in relation to the prices. I ordered fish & chips, the others had "Smash Burgers." At €24.50, I actually thought the fish & chips portion was mistaken for a children's plate, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. 8 pieces of fish and a handful of fries plus 2 forks of salad. The Smash Burgers were standard pre-made patties like you'd get at Burger King or anywhere else. There was no mashing, the meat wasn't crispy or anything. The price was €22.50, and the same number of sides. On top of that, ordering the food and drinks took quite a while, and no one even asked if I wanted anything else. Recommended as a quick stop for a delicious mojito and an Aperol, but definitely not for eating.

The service was borderline unpleasant, very unprofessional. The food is to be avoided: frozen fries, dishes without presentation, and very mediocre products, far from what is advertised on the website (products from local producers). Very disappointing. No atmosphere either. Just for a drink at the end of the day, and even then, the Mojito wasn't even good...

Shrimp croquettes: where are the shrimps?? I didn't see any in either croquette, otherwise moderate soft filling. Advice buy another brand or make them yourself!!!! Service is good. Possibly go to Knokke to taste!
