Very dog-friendly – ​​we were given a spot on the couch with a sea view. The dogs were also allowed to snuggle up on the couch; it was a lovely evening. The vegan burger was delicious too!

I'm not easily impressed, but sometimes you stumble upon a gem—and this beachside restaurant in Renesse is one of them. From the very first moment, everything felt right: the relaxed atmosphere, the sound of the sea in the background, and the aroma of freshly prepared dishes. My salmon sandwich wasn't just delicious; it was packed with fresh ingredients and, above all, a generous helping of love. Every detail seemed carefully prepared. The staff's friendly smiles made the experience complete—truly the icing on the cake. The hour-plus drive was more than worth it. This is one of those places where you not only eat well, but also truly unwind. Highly recommended for anyone who loves pure food, a pleasant atmosphere, and a touch of the sea.

A short walk from the parking lot to this beautiful location. The weather was still beautiful today, so it was packed. Friendly and enthusiastic staff who handled the crowds well. Enjoy the delicious carpaccio sandwich!

The food and drinks were good. We were unlucky with the service. We only received cutlery after asking. The salt and pepper grinders were all damp.

It looked like a nice place, including the decor. We tried several times to get the waiter's attention to order something. When, after fifteen minutes, no one had come to us, we just moved on; what a shame!

Unfortunately, there was no service. At least, no one who wanted to attend to guests. Renesse in the fall with a mixed weather forecast meant thick jackets and the anticipation of strolls along the beach and a stop at a lovely beach bar. With little wind, we deliberately found a nice spot. The place was sparsely packed. After the first five minutes of visual contact with the bar and the three people "working" there, we didn't think anything of it. After ten minutes, it felt a bit odd, and after 15 minutes, we left in annoyance. With about 20 guests and the staffing, we didn't bother to call for service.

The ambiance and food are typically Dutch. The location is right on a wide stretch of beach with a fantastic view. Almost all of the staff speak perfect German. Directly across the street is a sandbank where numerous seals often sunbathe. It's a beautiful sight to behold.

I rarely give restaurants a bad review, as if I don't like something, I usually assume it might be due to my personal taste. In this case, however, it seems as if the restaurant is trying to discourage customers from ordering by charging excessive prices. If you do, you're "rewarded" with very long waits and carelessly prepared food that also tastes disappointing—presumably to prevent you from repeating the same mistake. The selection of dishes also leaves a lot to be desired.

Great location right on the beach. Friendly staff, excellent selection of drinks and food. Especially when the weather isn't great, it's nicer here than in the crowded resort.

The waiter who was present (he didn't do anything else) should be ashamed of himself. He didn't even look at us for 15 minutes. No hello, no wiping of the table, no taking of our orders, nothing. And he cheekily kept walking past us. The other guests also seemed very unhappy with him. Everyone had to chase him for something. We then went to the restaurant across the street and received excellent service there. This guy is definitely in the wrong job, and the owners shouldn't tolerate this kind of behavior!

We were there this evening with five adults and two kids. First of all, we had excellent service, who spoke perfect German and was really very friendly, child-friendly, and on the ball. The food was also delicious. A starter was enough. The setting is gorgeous and deserves another five stars.

A very unpleasant welcome. My heavily pregnant wife and I wanted to eat something. I checked outside to see if there was a place to sit, away from people smoking. The waitress unfriendlyly suggested we sit inside. Then she told me that "I'm probably one of those people who thinks you shouldn't smoke on the beach." I thought that was a strange comment. I said yes because I'm an avid non-smoker. (I later found out there's a smoke-free zone on the beach. We're not from around here.) The waitress then expressed her frustration about not being allowed to smoke, etc. It was a strange, unprofessional, and unfriendly welcome. It was a strange, one-sided encounter, while we just wanted to sit somewhere away from cigarette smoke. The food was expensive and nothing special. The atmosphere was okay; we sat inside. The restroom wasn't very clean. The table wasn't very clean either.

We as a family really enjoy staying here. Especially off-season, you can relax, enjoy the sea view, and unwind. During the holidays, it can be very busy, so it takes a little longer. The staff are always friendly, and even when it's busy, everything feels relaxed, and the high quality doesn't falter.

We had to wait 20-30 minutes till someone took our order, and another 30 minutes for it to be brought ought. The waitress was kind and took care of disabled people. I had the fish and chips, the small salad could have taken some sauce but other than that the food was good. But it's pretty expensive, it has tourist prices, I recommend it, but I probably will not be coming a second time.

We had to wait over an hour for our starter, and the fish soup was cold. The main course salads were almost entirely lettuce. The price-quality ratio was absolutely terrible, and the staff was unprofessional and unfriendly.

We were there with 6 adults and 7 children. The nice ambiance was definitely a positive. The drinks, cocktails, and Aperol were also very tasty and reasonably priced. The negative, unfortunately, was the food in relation to the prices. I ordered fish & chips, the others had "Smash Burgers." At €24.50, I actually thought the fish & chips portion was mistaken for a children's plate, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. 8 pieces of fish and a handful of fries plus 2 forks of salad. The Smash Burgers were standard pre-made patties like you'd get at Burger King or anywhere else. There was no mashing, the meat wasn't crispy or anything. The price was €22.50, and the same number of sides. On top of that, ordering the food and drinks took quite a while, and no one even asked if I wanted anything else. Recommended as a quick stop for a delicious mojito and an Aperol, but definitely not for eating.

This restaurant is ideally located, with a magnificent view. Unfortunately, that's the only positive thing. Having booked dinner outside, we were told there was no guarantee of a table outside... The service was borderline unpleasant, very unprofessional. The food is to be avoided: frozen fries, dishes without presentation, and very mediocre products, far from what is advertised on the website (products from local producers). Very disappointing. No atmosphere either. Just for a drink at the end of the day, and even then, the Mojito wasn't even good...

The manager is the number one spot on the beach, which you can tell from the service... little interest in the guests and high prices. But the main restaurant is also right on the beach, so unfortunately, there's hardly any alternative...

Vandaag drankje gedaan op het terras. Genoten van het uitzicht en vriendelijk personeel. Wat zeker vermelding waard is dat mijn vrouw invalide is en door het personeel teruggereden werd naar de parkeerplaats. Echt super.

This was one of the sadest vegan burgers I ever had. I feels like a fu to all vegans. No love an no flavor. Just disappointing. And not worth the 20+€

Perfect for a **leisurely lunch** after a walk on the beach or a **romantic dinner** with the sound of the sea. We'd love to come back! **Tip:** Make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends – the pavilion is popular!

We waited over an hour for our food, even though there seemed to be enough staff and the restaurant wasn't very busy. The portions were quite small, even on the dinner menu. Unfortunately, the schnitzel we ordered was very dark. The staff was friendly, but not particularly eager and only came when called. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. The food was still delicious.

We moesten zelf naar binnen en kregen dan voor dezelfde prijs een drankje in een kartonnen of plastiek beker. Waar de helft van wegwaaide nadien. En die de Bende vh Strand alles mag opkuisen op ons prachtige eiland. Schandalig voor een strandtent op het strand... minder mooi weer...personeel wil niet buitenkomen... vervuiling... klanten id steek laten. De eigenaars moesten zich schamen!! ...ohja ik ben vaste inwoner van Renesse. Trots op ons dorp en ons eiland maar hier word ik heel triest van.

Lunch for 4 people: €130.25...A small (!) portion of fish & chips costs €24.50. It was quite tasty, but you can't really go wrong with deep-fried food. It's amazing.

I have to say, it's always nice to go there. Whether you just want a quick drink or a full meal, the food has always been delicious, fresh, and already prepared and served. The decor is nice, and there's plenty of space. However, depending on when you arrive, you may have to wait for a seat. The service is mostly friendly (with a few exceptions) and usually quite quick. I find the prices a bit steep, but that seems to be the case in the region in general. All in all, I'd be happy to go back and recommend it.

We enjoyed lunch behind the glass of this beach bar during a strong sea breeze. We both had carpaccio on bread and a portion of bitterballen. One had a hot tea, the other a cold one. The service was quick. Toilets for the men a bit cramped, and a bit dirty. Otherwise fine.

Es war völlig okay, aber nichts besonderes und dafür auch preislich nicht angemessen. Man zahlt die zentrale Lage und den Blick aufs Meer. Service war ebenfalls nur okay. Wir saßen nachdem Essen lange auf dem trockenen, da sich keiner für uns verantwortlich gefühlt hat. Aber nett war das Personal dennoch.

Our regular spot when we come to Renesse. Beautiful views over the beach and the sea, tasty cocktails, plenty of snacks... Behind the glass you are sheltered from the wind, so you can sit outside even in early spring or late autumn.

We had a great time here and enjoyed the sun. The service was fast and friendly. The terrace was spacious, the lounge sofas were comfortable and the background music was pleasant. The carpaccio sandwich is great! We will definitely come back here again.

Despite the huge crowd, the service was excellent. We just had a drink there after a long walk on the beach with our dog. However, it is quite expensive there. OK. Of course you have to pay for the location right on the beach.

We were there yesterday and our children both ordered an apple pancake with Nutella. Unfortunately, one pancake came as “natural”. He was then taken into the kitchen and simply came back with apple slices on top. When we commented that it wasn't baked like the other one, we were simply told that the apple slices on top were warm. Since our son didn't want to wait any longer, he ate the special pancake. Very unfortunate.

The drinks came much later than the food. No cutlery when eating. An apology was politely offered. The food quality is good and the view of the seals is nice. So if the service improves, it's great.

The toilets were clean and well maintained, which is always an important plus for me. I was particularly impressed by the stylish furnishings with great murals and the eye-catching moss elements on the ceiling - a real eye-catcher! And the icing on the cake: the fantastic view of the sea. A small negative point: the portions could have been a little larger 😉

A great place to spend time. The weather was wonderful and we only drank coffee, but the view and the place were unforgettable. We were there for less than an hour, but I felt like I was on vacation. I recommend it!

Were there today on April 1st around 4 p.m. with 2 people and a dog. Unfortunately, the waiter with a green T-shirt was very rude and bold. Our dog was on a leash and behaved absolutely well, lying quietly under the table. The waiter claimed that our dog had left his leg bloody and had bitten his pants. When the head waitress explained this to us, she was very pale and arrogant from the beginning of the conversation. I had explained the situation calmly and clearly, but the waitress shouted at us and was very rude to us. When I asked the waiter to come over so we could look at the leg, the waitress evaded it. We then asked for the boss, but the waitress refused to get the boss. Finally, we offered to call the police, but this was also ignored. There are cameras everywhere in the restaurant and if our dog had actually bitten the waiter then you would have seen it. This incident is very close to racism. I think that unfortunately a reason was given here so that we would not be entertained any further. Unfortunately, the waitress's tone was very aggressive and very demeaning right from the start. I do not recommend this restaurant! By the way, our dog lay quietly under the table the entire visit, on a leash. Never again!

Of the 2 waitresses (female), the waitress with the shorter hair was very nice, she always had a smile on her lips, served very friendly, even to the guests who came with dogs, was really quick and had an eye on who wanted something and was always present outside on the terrace and looking around, this woman is really top 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 !!! The other waitress, her long hair tied in a ponytail, was grumpy, smiling was a foreign concept for her and by the time she came to the table it was "evening", she only came every now and then to see if a guest wanted something and because she was so rarely seen on the terrace, of course everyone called to order and you could immediately see how annoyed she was, without saying a word. Otherwise it's good there and the snacks/food was also good.
