The food was fantastic, very tasty, refined, and meticulously prepared. We had a lovely conversation with the owners and were surprised with a dessert to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A true asset to our village, and we'll definitely be back! Derk and Diana

Seven people went to this restaurant for a 40th wedding anniversary dinner. We had made a reservation in advance and were warmly welcomed by the staff. We enjoyed a starter, main course, and dessert, followed by coffee. Every course was excellent and delicious. The venison steak with red wine sauce is highly recommended. So delicious and tender, a real treat! We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes. We even spoke to the chef (owner) and complimented him. What a fantastic place it's become under the new owners. We ate there twice in one week. The weekly special, venison steak, was deliciously tender, and mussels were a must-try during our visit to Bruinisse. The atmosphere and decor are very cozy, and the service is incredibly friendly. Nothing but praise for this charming restaurant with excellent food. Highly recommended if you're in the village! We'll be back soon when we're back in the Netherlands. What fantastic people at Brasserie De Meeuw! Last Saturday, I spent the entire afternoon here because our swimming club was allowed to use Brasserie De Meeuw as the final stop for a puzzle run for 80 people. Afterward, we decided to stay for dinner with 18 people. That was no problem either: the food was delicious, everything served promptly and with a genuine smile. Ad, thank you for the excellent service. We'd love to come back next time. You have a wonderful restaurant.

We had a wonderful time on the sunny terrace at Brasserie De Meeuw. And that on November 9th. 🌞 19 degrees.

An outstanding restaurant. We had a birthday party there with 10 people. The food was top-notch. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was really cozy. We all felt very comfortable. The next day, we went back for dinner with six people, and it was top-notch again. The owner even treated us to a cocktail at the end. It was wonderful.

I ordered mussels with the intention of enjoying them. Unfortunately, it wasn't. The mussels were tasteless, and there wasn't even a pleasant mussel aroma. Furthermore, I had a total of 15 that were completely closed. I wouldn't recommend them.

The restaurant was recommended to us, and we went there spontaneously. It wasn't a good idea on a weekend, as it was very busy. Nevertheless, we got a 'tusch' for two people. We were very happy about that. The food was very good, just as we'd been told. The price for our mussels was reasonable.

Yes, I would eat here again. The food is very good, and the service is very friendly. The restaurant was full, and we just barely managed to get a seat. Despite the large number of guests, we received friendly service. The fact that my son finished his portion of fish is the highest compliment to the kitchen. You can tell that the young staff still needs some training. So, a big compliment to the employee who had to coordinate everything that evening.

A lovely restaurant with outdoor seating, under the veranda, and indoor seating. There are lounges where you can only get drinks, but you'll be informed of this as soon as you sit down. The service is friendly. Dogs are not allowed inside the restaurant, however.

Ideal for cooked mussels. The salad bar is okay. Otherwise, nothing to write home about. The spare ribs were tasteless. The fried mussels were too greasy. The kids' menu was very limited. Some of the staff were inexperienced, so orders didn't get through correctly. So, it was a one-time thing. We definitely won't be back.

If you want to taste really good wild mussels, you have to be here. Mussels were very well prepared. Eaten without using the sauces

Nice cozy restaurant near the harbor of Bruinisse

Saturday 14 June had a lovely meal. After a day at the beach at the Brouwersdam we were looking for a nice restaurant where we could eat a pan of mussels. In 2023 we already visited this lovely restaurant and thought I would give them a call because the mussel season had not yet started. I got a cheerful lady on the line and told us that she still had mussels left over from a wine tasting. She was willing to serve them to us. She politely asked how many people we were and kept them aside for us. We enjoyed the mussels. I am very happy with the service of the restaurant. We will definitely come back here.

Ik heb hier heerlijke mosselen gegeten. Op het terras is het goed toeven. Het is overdekt en dat is fijn als het regent. De bediening is vriendelijk.

We ate here every day of our entire vacation last year! The food was very good and the service very friendly! Today, the first day we arrived, we went straight there. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed in! Despite plenty of free seats, which obviously weren't all reserved, we were told that the kitchen was short of staff and we would be turned away! A real disappointment! We definitely won't be back!

Good cuisine and friendly staff. We came without a reservation and got a table after just over an hour. The starter came quite quickly (very tasty lobster soup), but then the worm was in there. Apparently we were forgotten and it was only after our questioning looks that people became aware. We then waited almost 1.5 hours for the main course. There was no further communication about this and only a short sorry. So you should definitely make a reservation to avoid any problems.

I can only recommend the restaurant, we were there for the second time and made reservations in advance for 8 people from Germany without any problems. Very nice and quick contact. Food of great quality, with the Zeuwse fish soup a lot of ingredients and super tasty. For the main course, both the mussels and the steak skewer were great and the brownie for dessert was a poem. We'll definitely be back!

Food was tasty. Friendly waitresses who can handle children. Our eldest loved the venison steak. All children really enjoyed the cheese croquettes. The atmosphere could be a little better with a tablecloth, which looks a bit more luxurious and cozy.

De bediening kwam koud over. Een klein tafeltje. De persoon die kwam afrekenen stond met grote ogen te kijken hoe hij dit moest oplossen, wachtte wel op een tip. Niet dus

Zu jedem Essen gehört Salat....und nicht irgendwelcher....hier gibt's frische Salate nach Haustezept. Weißkohl mit Rosinen ist mein Favorit. Und als Hauptgang Scholle oder Muscheln....lecker und nicht zu teuer

A place suitable for an entertaining lunch or brunch/dinner. Unfortunately, when the weather was beautiful, guests were turned away from the outdoor area because of a supposed storm warning. However, there was no storm for the rest of the day.

Cool. The only thing missing was fish dishes, but that was because I was informed by St. fisherman.

We were there on Wednesday. Although it was already quite full, the waitresses kindly tried to find a table on the terrace. The food was delicious and the service was attentive and polite at all times. She explained the salad buffet to us brilliantly, asked if we would like something to drink or dessert, the dishes were cleared away quickly and we were able to sit comfortably even though it was getting more and more crowded. After 5:30 p.m. you should definitely reserve a table in advance, as the restaurant seems to be very popular. Definitely 5 stars in all respects. Thank you for the culinary pleasure

I celebrated my birthday here with my husband and neighbors. The food was delicious and there was a great taste sensation. Dish 1 speaks for itself and dish 2 is Ceviche.... Staff friendly and very knowledgeable. Even though it was busy for a Wednesday evening, we were helped well. Sang it for me again. Worth repeating.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the restaurant, we had specially ordered a table but when we arrived we were told that the table wasn't free!!! I was a bit upset because why would I order a table if you didn't get it!!! Disappointing

Decided to eat here, like every year, with a group. Made a reservation, it was no problem. When we arrived it was already very busy and tables continued to be taken. After half an hour we were finally asked if we wanted something to drink. After half an hour we finally had the drinks. Then we were asked what we wanted to eat. We waited a good 1.5 hours for this and people who came in later had their food earlier. When we asked how long it would take, we were told that she had no insight into this and that we should ask a colleague. Okay, fine, asked a colleague, same story. The same story happened again with the 3rd colleague whom we were finally able to speak to. Finally, after 1.5 hours, colleague 4 told us that the food would be there within 5 minutes. This was indeed the case. This lady did everything she could do for us, kudos to her. The food was good, but after dinner we got up and left.

We were there on Sunday evening and didn't have a reservation. The food was quite good, but the prices were quite high. Portions were good, at least for the noodles, the “grandma’s fish pot” was a bit small. I would have liked more rice and also more fish. Overall, the service staff made a reasonable effort, but there wasn't enough for a second drink because no one else came. When we paid, everything was billed correctly, but that could be because I added everything up on my phone beforehand to be on the safe side. It was ok, but not a must.

At 6 o'clock in the evening I ordered mussels for 2 people. Sorry, we're out of mussels, we only have fried mussels left. What a disappointment!!!! 😞

Fantastic experience at restaurant De Meeuw in Bruinisse. Super cozy atmosphere and delicious food: Richly filled fish soup, butter-tender carpaccio. As a main course, delicious spicy Thai curry, spare ribs, pork tenderloin medallion, or cod (we were with a large party), everything equally delicious with golden, crispy fries and salad from the salad bar. Desserts like waffle with strawberries, ice cream and whipped cream, Dane blanche, that would make you eat your fingers. I must also give a compliment to the friendly, attentive service, you were so busy serving us all evening. Henny and Frans, thank you for an unforgettable culinary experience! De Meeuw is highly recommended to everyone!

Excellent food, beautiful location and friendly staff

Wir waren mit einer Radgruppe von 11 Personen zu Gast. Ein schöne lange Tafel im überdachten Außenbereich wurde uns nach Reservierung zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr gut war die Möglichkeit separat abzurechnen. Man hat die Pärchen nummeriert und so konnten die Bestellungen einfach gehandelt werden. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und auch die Möglichkeit, kleinere Portionen mit 25% Nachlass zu bekommen, ist sehr gut und es reichte trotzdem. Sehr zu empfehlen das Thaigericht !! Sehr freundliche und zügige Bedienung obwohl das Lokal gut besucht war. De Meeuw ist eine sehr gute Adresse in Bruinisse und immer einen Besuch wert.

Belle et grande brasserie qui donne sur le port Le port n'est pas très joli et est entouré d'un parc éolien m'enfin quand vous dormez à Bruinisse c'est une excellente adresse. Belle déco chaleureuse, belles assiettes copieuses mais surtout goûteuses. Prix normaux pour la région donc assez cher mais c'est comme ça. Le service est sympa et souriant. Nous avons aimé l'ambiance et le salade bar en guise de mise en bouche sympa comme tout

Happily surprised! You may not notice it when you cycle past, but what a great place this is. The food is good, the atmosphere inside is excellent. The toilets are clean and spacious. But the real difference is made by the staff. Professional and extremely friendly. Overall this is a great place. An extra plus for the playground, where the children can play.

Met een groep van 11 man gegeten, kwalitatief goed, bediening was een beetje rommelig en drankjes kwamen niet goed door. Wel lekker gegeten dus we komen zeker nog eens terug.

Heerlijk gegeten, zeer vriendelijk personeel en zeer betaalbaar. Mooi salade buffet met veel opties bij het diner.

Prima restaurant met gezellige sfeer en bediening. Uitstekende keuze voor het eten van vis en dan natuurlijk met name mosselen oesters. Absolute aanrader!

Leider keinen freundlichen Kellner gehabt, Essen leider auch nicht so dolle. Da gibt es hier deutlich bessere Fischrestaurants.

Dank jullie wel voor de flexibiliteit. We hebben met een groep dames heerlijk gegeten op het terras onder de heaters. Vooral de mosselen en de gebakken schol vielen weg in de smaak!

Gut war das Essen, aber so gut, dass es den katastrophalen Service ausglich dann auch wieder nicht. Wir waren in einer Art Vorzelt mit Heizlüftern über den Köpfen. Mit Hunden darf man drinnen nicht essen. Die Stühle verhalfen einem zu einer tiefen halbliegenden Sitzposition, die dem Essen nicht zuträglich war. Wir bekamen nach Gästen, die lange nach uns das Restaurant betraten, nach xa. 70 Minuten Wartezeit unser Essen. Wir wurden in dieser Wartezeit ständig ermuntert noch Getränke zu bestellen. Das Salatbuffet war drinnen und man musste durch das ganze Restaurant stiefeln. Es war um 19.30 Uhr schon sehr abgegrast. Positiv es war barrierefrei auch die Toiletten und Parkplätze standen ausreichend zur Verfügung.

Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern zum Essen da und waren vollkommen zufrieden. 👍🏻 Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte von Fisch über Muscheln und Fleisch von der Karte und können alles empfehlen, sollten wir nochmal in der Nähe Urlaub machen kommen wir gerne wieder ☺️

Wij komen elk jaar vanuit het westen van NL bij dit restaurant mosselen eten omdat ze ze hier zo lekker bereiden, een genot ze te eten. By the way, niet alleen de mosselen zijn heerlijk ook de rest van de kaart is heerlijk. Het personeel is heel bekwaam en servicegericht. Kortom volgend jaar komen we zeker weer.

Heb hier vorig weekend gegeten met de familie, we hadden gereserveerd en werden naar de tafel gebracht even later hebben we de drankjes besteld en daarna het voor en hoofdgerecht. De drankjes kwamen prima op tijd we hebben wel even op het voorgerecht moeten wachten maar dat viel wel mee uiteindelijk hebben we voor het hoofdgerecht meer dan 2 uur moeten wachten met het excuus dat er 1 kok minders was, na 2 uur wachten hebben we gevraagd of het nog lang zou duren. Anders hadden we de drankjes betaald en gegaan maar toen we het hadden gevraagd zeiden ze dat het binnen een kwartier klaar was en uiteindelijk was het eten er wel maar ik vond persoonlijk het eten niet bijzonder, had een spaghetti Bolognese maar écht lekker was het niet. De glazen werden ook niet opgehaald. De kinderen werden uit de speeltuin gestuurd omdat ze daar blijkbaar te oud voor waren, ja ik snap dat kinderen van 12 of 13 niet zomaar in een speeltuin spelen maar als het eten al 2 uur duurt gaan zij zich ook vervelen die vrouw die de kinderen wegstuurde zei ook nog ‘ik ben van hier ik kom weer terug dus als ik jullie was zou ik daar niet meer gaan spelen!’ Kom hier absoluut niet meer terug!

Leuke tent, gezellig.personeel en prachtige huiselijke sfeer. Serveerster heeft zelfs meegedaan met ons oudste, met het inkleuren van een kleurboek met water. Enige minpunt: wel noted dat het was zaterdag en er zaten grotere groepen mensen, we hadden na de eerste keer best lang moeten wachten op een tweede ronde drinken

Leuk, lekker gezellig vriendelijk...wij hadden ruim van te voren gereserveerd, dat is bij een gewild bekend restaurant zeker aan te raden, de service was prima, eten was heerlijk, hebben niet lang hoeven wachten terwijl het best druk was , op een vrijdagavond. Mensen die negatieve revieuws achterlaten zijn of niet veel gewent,slecht voorbereid,hebben geen geduld en/of wilden voor een dubbeltje op de 1e rang zitten, dit restaurant is gewoon oke 🤟😎

Prachtig restaurant en heerlijk eten. De sfeer is klassiek maar gastvrij. We hebben het mooi gehad met de familie.

Eten was lekker, maar helaas hebben we er 1u45 minuten op moeten wachten. Even aangeven dat het langer zou duren wegens ziek keukenpersoneel zat er helaas niet in. Toen we na 1u15 vroegen waar ons eten bleef, werd dit pas vermeld. Een salade of smeerbroodje om dit wachten wat aangenamer te maken helaas niet in ze op. Geen aanrader qua service, personeel was niet spontaan

Heerlijk gegeten, best prijzig, sws is het verstandig om te reserveren omdat het er erg druk is. Roompot aquadelta zit er op 10 minuten lopen vandaan

Weer heerlijk gegeten vanavond! Super snel en gezellige bediening. Ik snap niet waar al die negatieve ervaringen vandaan komen, klopt totaal niet. Top restaurant!👍
