Paviljoen Duinzigt in Wijk 12 Haamstede

We were in town for a short holiday in November, staying at the nearby Duinoord campsite. The restaurant is located in a roundabout right at the entrance to the beach, opposite the Brasserie Zeelust. Regarding the food and drinks… Fish soup with plenty of chunks, crispy little rolls, and butter… very fresh and incredibly delicious, beautifully presented. For lunch, bitterballen were served exactly as they should be, with mustard and two types of mayonnaise. Dinner… Pork tenderloin topped with Camembert, creamy mushroom sauce, a side of vegetables, and fries… everything was cooked to perfection and the portion was generously sized. The hamburger… what can I say? The bun was slightly crispy but stayed firm until the last bite and didn't fall apart. The beef patty was about 200g, with bacon, ceddar, tomato, and cucumber… an additional sauce was missing, but it wasn't necessary at all… everything was perfectly balanced and not dry. The beer was tapped, as the Dutch say here, so fresh. On tap… several types of beer… Recommended… CORNET… as well as La Trappe Tripel, Belgian premium beers… Unfortunately, I didn't photograph the food, but it was great.

We had a lovely meal at the pavilion tonight. My husband had a hamburger, and I enjoyed a delicious stew. Hats off!

We had a fantastic meal after being confronted by three other restaurants that were closed, even though Google had told us they were open. Excellent service, incredibly delicious food, and the owners are incredibly friendly. Highly recommended! We live in the Achterhoek region, but if we're ever back in Zeeland, we'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is located right by the beach and has a large terrace. It looks cozy. The service is good and the food is excellent. The price-quality ratio is excellent. We were there on a weekday evening and it was packed. A good sign. It's also recommended for dining with children.

A wonderful spot by the dunes for drinks and snacks. We're going there for dinner next week, so more to come. So, we followed it up with a delicious plate of satay and a sorbet for dessert. Delicious.

Paviljoen Duinzigt is highly recommended. It has a cozy terrace and delicious food. The mussels were especially delicious 👌🏻 They were recommended when we looked at the menu. The service is friendly and enthusiastic. In short: absolutely fantastic!

Just ate here. Fries with kibbeling (cod), which the waitress said was delicious. Well, not really. It had a very thick crust around it and a white, gel-like substance inside. It said it came with salad, but you can hardly call it a salad anymore. It also didn't look very fresh, with large clumps of dog hair on the patio under the table. My glass wasn't fresh either. I mentioned that the kibbeling wasn't good, but nothing was done about it. The overall appearance wasn't that fresh, but we still wanted to try it. Never again.

With the new owner, it's much better. The food is also excellent and a step forward. The service is very friendly and helpful if you want something different. Keep up the good work, everyone, and you have a great business. Only when it's full, it takes a little longer to get your food, but that's not a problem in such a beautiful location.

Absolutely not recommended – never again! We visited this restaurant today and were simply shocked. The staff were extremely unfriendly and completely disinterested. We had to wait over an hour for our food – and that was just for a schnitzel with fries and a small fish with fries. The schnitzel was completely burnt and inedible, with a sour smell that was extremely unpleasant. The absolute icing on the cake: the lemon was simply placed on the plate with bare fingers – it really couldn't be more unhygienic! That's absolutely unacceptable in a restaurant. And then the price: Over 65 euros for this rip-off! A disgrace. Conclusion: Terrible service, bad food, unhygienic, and completely overpriced. This was our first and last visit. Zero stars would be appropriate – stay away!

Wir waren heute in diesem Restaurant und sind einfach nur schockiert. Das Personal war extrem unfreundlich und völlig desinteressiert. Wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten – und das nur für ein Schnitzel mit Pommes und einen kleinen Fisch mit Pommes. Das Schnitzel war komplett verbrannt und unessbar, dazu kam ein säuerlicher Geruch, der extrem unangenehm war. Die absolute Krönung: Die Zitrone wurde einfach mit bloßen Fingern auf den Teller gelegt – unhygienischer geht es wirklich nicht! Das ist in einem Restaurant absolut inakzeptabel. Und dann auch noch der Preis: Über 65 Euro für diesen Reinfall! Eine Frechheit. Fazit: Miserabler Service, schlechtes Essen, hygienisch bedenklich und völlig überteuert. Das war unser erster und letzter Besuch. Null Sterne wären angebracht – Finger weg

A very nice café/restaurant in Westenschouwen, right by the beach entrance. Here you can sit sheltered from the wind. The staff is very friendly. The dishes are delicious and beautifully presented.

Tijdens onze fietstocht hier wezen lunchen. Gevarieerd menu met veel lekkere opties. Sinds kort nieuwe eigenaren en zeer goed bevallen. Eten was heel goed en erg vriendelijke bediening. Ook veel glutenvrije opties.

We had a wonderful meal at Paviljoen Duinzigt last night and it was simply amazing. From the moment we walked in, we felt really welcome. The team was incredibly friendly and attentive, which immediately created a great atmosphere. Our four dogs were also very much welcomed! The food was truly outstanding – fresh, beautifully presented and lovingly prepared. Every dish was a treat in itself. The menu offers something for everyone and the quality is clearly of a high standard. The combination of hospitality, top quality food and a great atmosphere makes Duinzigt an absolute must. We will definitely be back. Compliments to the entire team!

We had a delicious meal tonight, the chicken satay is highly recommended, the fish and chips were also good and the taste was good, the plates were quite empty and we left satisfied. We will definitely come back here. Friendly welcome and we really felt spoiled!

The four of us ate here in the late afternoon. The "Fish & Chips" and the hamburger were ok. However, the two schnitzels with mushroom sauce and "vegetables" were a disaster, not to say: the worst mushroom cream schnitzels I have ever eaten. The schnitzels were greasy, the sauce was not a sauce but a roux mush. The vegetables turned out to be two sticks of cooked green asparagus on an indefinable fried something. I was about to return the food but I was hungry and didn't want to be stressed. Actually the wrong attitude. Since dishes of very different quality are obviously served here, I wouldn't want to eat here anymore.

The service was super friendly! 💚 This really needs to be emphasized! There are even drinking bowls for the dogs at the entrance. The hot chocolate was delicious, as were the other drinks. Unfortunately I can't recommend the spare ribs at all. We couldn't eat them, so it shook us. But the staff responded to our criticism in a very friendly manner, offered us an alternative and when we didn't want anything more, they brought us a hot chocolate. A dream! 5 stars for that. I only give the small deduction because of the spare ribs.

What a warm welcome!!!! The ramp was moved to another entrance to accommodate the Christmas tree in front of the main entrance. So special for us and very normal for this owner. Delicious food, nice warm atmosphere, lovely walk and we will definitely come back.

Ordered drinks which came quite quickly. Then also ordered something to eat. After waiting half an hour I asked how and what. She was going to look. Had no feedback. After 40 minutes I asked for a bill and not even an apology about the fact that I had no food. A bit of a shame.

Really good coffee here! I stayed in Westenschouwen for the summer and this was my favourite place for a flat white with oat milk. The staff are very friendly and helpful too!

What kind of monster puts halved cherry tomatoes into a burger????? You go for a bite, and all of a sudden you're dealing with three tomatoes shooting out each side of the bun. Absolute madness. I've never seen this in my life. Crazy. Just do normal. Use sliced tomatoes and the world will be good again.

Nachio not super luxurious but lots of cheese and 3 delicious dippers ❤️ And don't forget good music 🎶 Just next to the pavilion you take the stairs up to the beach. Tip: you can tap sunscreen at the bottom ☀️

Dit restaurantje was als eerste open en daarom hierheen gegaan. En werden verrast door de gemoedelijkheid en gezelligheid met zeer goede muziek zoals pink floyd en deus. Goede sfeer met lekker veel ramen en planten. Het eten (broodje zalm) was super vers en heel erg lekker. De volgende dag weer gegaan! Echt een aarader

Others who came in later were helped earlier. No welcoming atmosphere, no attention to the customers. I now understand why the neighbors across the street are always so busy 🙈 (they were closed that day)

Voorheen was Duinzigt leuker om te vertoeven, ook omdat het toen vaste openingstijden had. Nu lijkt het op willekeurige momenten geopend en sluit het door de week (in de vakantie) al om 17:00 uur. Ben iets minder enthousiast geworden en loop tegenwoordig liever iets door naar een andere gelegenheid. Ze hebben wel een leuke en uitgebreide bierkaart 🍻🍺

Het eten was goed, vriendelijke bediening en goede sfeer

Veel jong personeel, zeer passief en enorm traag. Vriendelijk, maar slecht. Er leek niemand met ervaring aan te sturen. Gasten moesten een voor een naar binnen om te vragen of ze konden betalen. Je krijgt je dessert geserveerd op een tafel vol vuile vaat welke niet afgeruimd wordt. Personeel is drukker met elkaar en zelf eten/drinken dan dat ze oog voor de gasten hebben. Het was erg rustig, toch werd niets of niemand opgemerkt. Wij zatten direct naast de kassa/bar en toch moesten we constant dingen vragen. Het eten was wel lekker. Eten prima, service slecht.

Je zit daar altijd goed. Vriendelijk personeel. Eten is goed, maar wel een beetje prijzig.

Mooie plek , fijne bediening, deze lokatie heeft al bekendheid verkregen door zijn uitstekende barista. Goede keuken gestuurd door een goede gastheer.

Na een strand- en boswandeling tijd voor een late lunch / vroege borrel met wat broodjes, tosti’s, frituur, etc. Wel jammer dat sommige dingen (bitterballen? Hoe dan? Jus d’orange? Hoe dan?) op waren. (Had zelf dan maar iemand naar Albert Heijn ofzo gestuurd of voor de bitterballen een deal gemaakt met The Sixties aan de overkant.) kortom lekker gezeten en gegeten met beperkingen. Jammer.

Wir kennen das Duinzigt noch vom letzten Jahr und mögen die schöne große Terrasse direkt am Strandaufgang. Der Kaffee ist gut und auch die kleinen sorgfältig zubereiteten Speisen. Wir fühlen uns da einfach sehr wohl, es hat etwas familiäres.
