We ate today after a family visit to Heliomare. We had the fried salmon, kibbeling (cod), crispy chicken burger, and a salmon poke bowl. I give the fried salmon a 10, a very large, super tender piece, delicious fries, sauce, and vegetables. My partner gives the kibbeling an 8. Tasty batter, tender fish, delicious sauce. My son said the burger was the best he's ever had (I do think it's a bit pricey), but he gives it a 9. The salmon poke bowl wasn't bad, but not up to the standard of Dadaman, where we eat weekly, and my other son gives it a 6. Service was fast and good, prices reasonable (except for the burger), and drink prices were okay. We'll definitely go back if we're in the area. You can't go wrong here. Top-notch place.

This is a great spot after an early morning walk. They open on time. A relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and efficient service. Parking is nearby and free. Easy to find via Google Maps.

We had dinner here three times. There's a beautiful view of the sea. The service was always friendly. The prices are reasonable.

The coffee they serve is excellent. I also had a delicious healthy sandwich there. All excellent.

Delicious, fresh dishes and cakes. The outdoor terrace is very cozy and sheltered from the wind...and wheelchair accessible! You can access it via a few steps or a ramp; the paved beach path runs in front of the restaurant. We saw many guests with wheelchairs, etc., which was nice to see. Friendly and efficient staff. A delicious restaurant that's accessible to everyone.❤️

We had a great meal and drinks at this beach bar. Spareribs and fries were delicious. We thought the price of €24.00 was reasonable but the portions of spareribs were really small. That's why we took one star off. Otherwise we had a great time.

Nice location and a beautiful view of the beach. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow, even though it wasn't busy. Don't drink red wine here; I haven't had such a bad Merlot in years.

A truly beautiful restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. We were particularly impressed by the magnificent view—a real highlight of the meal! The prices are a bit higher, probably due to the exclusive location, but overall, the value for money is good. The food was very tasty and freshly prepared. A quick tip: It's best to sit inside, as there are lots of birds outside that can be a nuisance at your table. Otherwise, a very enjoyable visit.

Beautiful beach pavilion with modern, attractive interiors. The terrace offers good wind protection. Very friendly and prompt service. All positives. On the downside, the apple pie is small and round with a crumb topping, very sweet, and contains little apple. The whipped cream comes from a spray can. If I'm going to indulge in unnecessary calories, it has to be worth it in terms of taste; here, I regretted the expense.

I highly recommend Strandpaviljoen De Kust. I spent a week there with my daughter in May, and it was truly beautiful! We loved the view and will be back!

As tourists, avoid this (so-called local) service is deplorable compared to foreign tourists. Nothing can be said about the food because after an hour and 30 min. the ordered food did not come. I want to specify that drinks, soups, shrimps, Blake August were ordered.. diverse food, a payment bill that reached approx. 200 euros. All local customers were served, we as foreign tourists no. they requested to pay for the ordered meal that was not served. after I informed them that we only pay for the consumption of the drinks served, they came from the kitchen to say that the meal is ready. AVOID..AVOID..AVOID

This restaurant should not be posted by Google as a ready-to-eat location. One star for the location. We sat outside and could have waited forever for someone to serve us. There were three waiters who weren't always busy. We drew attention to ourselves several times, but the others were served. At some point we had enough and went to the competition. Never again.

Great beach cafe with drinks and food, even in the evening. Comfortably furnished. On March 31st, the stove was still working and it was warm inside. There are nooks protected from the wind on the terrace. Just great!

Lots of waste. With every order you automatically receive a glass of lettuce (sauce on the bottom). Hardly anyone ate it. Many glasses go straight into the trash without being touched. Very shame! Maybe an idea to only serve when requested?

About the bad reviews.... Apparently you can't do it right for everyone, despite your best efforts. We ate there twice and you get a delicious meal for a good price. Not all the staff speaks Dutch, but they do speak good and understandable English, and they are all very friendly. The 2nd time we ate there something went wrong in the kitchen. The children's dinner was late. But that was resolved well. Mistakes are made, how it is resolved is more important. As far as we are concerned, 6 stars instead of 5!!

Service poor, food was tasty, but the Caesar salad was wrong. Iceberg lettuce, no anchovies and it had radish and celery in it? The next day I was glued to the porcelain throne...

A few days on the coast of Wijk aan Zee and a delicious meal every evening at this beach pavilion. We do not make reservations, so patience is required. But you certainly get value for your money. Fresh ingredients, cool beer and friendly service.

The fries and the eggrolls were super tasty.However, it takes a really long time before you get your food (even when it's not crowded) and it is quite expensive as well (€8 for a portion of mini eggrolls. We got 7 for that price). We also got too little sauce for how much we paid...

What poor service. After waiting for half an hour on a terrace that was not busy at all, I walked inside to ask if I could order at the bar, which was not possible, when I indicated that we had been waiting for a long time, then I received an arrogant look with an answer "well, that's a shame." I was quite shocked. Never experienced this before. Tip: put some energy into training staff. We'll never come here again.

This afternoon I had lunch there. I thought I would eat a delicious sandwich with ham, Beemster cheese and a dip as on the menu. When ordering, it was already said that the ham was gone... okay. But what did I get, a cheese sandwich, nothing else, a small salad or anything like decoration costs €7.50. Crazy. Complained when paying. They said you had a vegan sandwich. Once and never again. It's that you have to give at least 1 star

Food was good. There was a super rude and unfriendly employee walking among the wait staff. My wife had a question at checkout and the waiter snapped at her “this is not the time to ask these questions”. He also brought the drinks and when we asked for a straw for our 3 year old he very rudely said go get it from the bar. Other staff was super nice.

The food was fine! Operation very messy. There were enough staff, but due to language barriers (half of the staff did not speak Dutch), there was a lot of miscommunication. Had to wait almost an hour to order after asking 3 times and even when paying, asking 2 times was not enough, so I walked in to the cash register. So there is room for improvement in this area. Divide the terrace into zones in an all-round staff so that they can clear the table, bring drinks and take/serve orders. Then it doesn't matter to me whether I place the order in Dutch, English or German.

The food itself is fine! However, the tomato soup is very spicy (not on the menu). After we indicated this, we were told that everyone knows that tomato soup is spicy. This also in English, because the staff did not speak Dutch. We were offered a mustard soup that was delicious! But there were also sparrows inside that pooped under my bag. There were also feathers flying around. Delicious to eat among bird droppings that you can happily take home with you because your bag is underneath. Furthermore, unfriendly staff. And not hygienic. The staff is responsive and smiling. French white wine is very good! The portions of fries are good and generous. The setting is very nice. Nice beach tent (from the Roompot group). The houses they rent out will be ok, but €2k for a week is a bit on the high side. But we were only there to visit the pavilion and everything was fine there. Nice service, English speaking, price-quality was fine. Beautiful dishes and delicious drinks. If you are staying in the area of ​​Beverwijk and surrounding areas, it is definitely recommended.

Delicious food and great ambience

We were here last year. Now everything has been taken over by Roompot. And you see that in everything. Not much atmosphere, quite expensive for a beach bar. A bouncer €12.50 and with bacon 3 euros more expensive! A meager glass of rosé for almost 5 euros. It was very disappointing. Last year 5 stars, now 2 stars. Too bad but it is what it is.
