This restaurant is completely natural and I felt right at home. The staff are also very friendly. I will definitely come back here when I visit this city again.

We had a three-course meal, and everything was absolutely delicious! The use of local produce is a great touch, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was wonderful. We felt very welcome with our one-year-old. We will definitely be back!

It's cozy, and the service is very friendly and prompt. They serve delicious, honest regional dishes. The food tasted good, but we found it rather bland and were still hungry afterward.

For me, the main reason to eat here was the use of (as much as possible) local produce. The food was also very tasty and clearly prepared with care. Nothing too complicated, just good. What I didn't like was that, in my opinion, there were too many attempts to emphasize that everything is local: the menu features a collection of supplier logos for each dish, the placemats (probably a more formal word for it) feature a busy map of Brabant and the surrounding area littered with logos, all sorts of posters and the like hang on the walls, photos are embedded in the ceiling, and a huge number of empty beer bottles adorn just about every surface. It all creates a somewhat cluttered impression that doesn't do justice to the concept or the food. The restaurant also seemed quite empty on a Saturday evening, and because everyone was sitting at the back, it felt a bit deserted upon entering.

An exceptional restaurant. (Almost) all the products are locally sourced, and with every dish, we were told who produced the ingredients. You can feel the passion for the products and for sustainability. Water is served free of charge and constantly refilled. For the four of us, we received a portion of fries in a cone; when it was empty, another one arrived. We were served a delicious bread as a starter (see photo). All the dishes were very tasty. Two different cheese platters were available as an alternative to a sweet dessert: both were local and simply superb. We will definitely be back.

Very original Brabant restaurant, in every season they offer a different menu. A must try! Lovely people always with a smile.

I ordered a fish salad for lunch. What a huge disappointment. It looked more like an appetizer. This was definitely not a lunch-worthy salad. Afterward, I told him I thought the portion was very small. His response was, "Did I want to order something else..." 🤡🤡

A regional restaurant close to my heart. All ingredients are locally sourced. And I tasted it. Delicious, flavorful vegetables, tender meat, fresh fish, juicy fruit, meticulously prepared, and everything perfectly portioned. I had just the right amount. Six stars.

It's only like that in a few places. Salad with fish is also fish with salad, unlike other places where you have to search for the fish. The black pudding is really good. Excellent drinks and water. Clean restrooms. Nice terrace and restaurant with a pleasant owner and staff.

Did a puzzle tasting. The puzzles were sometimes tough, but fun. The food was delicious and made from all local products. And what a passion they have.

Great food. Mainly use regional products. Get an explanation of which farmer/company the products come from. Friendly people...

If you could give 6 stars I would have done it. Menu is fantastically delicious, all kinds of diverse regional products. Cosy living room atmosphere and good service. We would like to come back.

What a wonderful restaurant! We ended up here a bit by chance, but I was pleasantly surprised again and again the entire evening. First of all, a good menu, with a delicious asparagus menu for this season. The 2025 asparagus wine could be ordered by the glass. The products all come from local suppliers, which they are clearly proud of and like to talk about. With our drinks we immediately got a carafe of water without asking. Many wines can be ordered by the glass. And with, among others, a Brabant and a Limburg wine, these also came 'from the neighborhood'. The food was delicious (soup, grilled asparagus) and portions were more than sufficient. This restaurant does not want to waste and therefore serves a normal amount of side dishes, which you can order if desired. Well organized! In short, an absolute must and we will definitely come back!

Unfortunately the food was subpar. Tiny portions. The salad was a joke. I would be ashamed to serve something like that. The children's portions were also a joke. None of our children (2,5,7 years old) were fed. Finally, I waited forever for the bill. Food very bad, service 2 stars due to a nice speech to the local partners, ambience is a matter of taste but we didn't like it.

We hebben een proeverijtje van wijn besteld. Dat was bedoeld als lunch. Hebben we ook aangegeven. We kregen 1 lekkere wijn met heerlijke streekkazen. Aansluitend een rosé met een groente worstenbroodje. Daarna volgde een rode wijn met 3 bitterballen op. Was wel de Bourgondiër. Wij dachten dat er nog 2 gerechten kwamen maar dat bleek niet het geval. Jammer, we hadden ons hier heel wat anders van voorgesteld

Restaurant where regional ingredients are happily prepared into delicious meals, where people at the table are told with love what comes from which farmer or company. Extremely friendly and personal service by enthusiastic owners and staff. A very extensive choice of just 100 very different regional beers makes choosing difficult. We went home very satisfied.

Had a great evening. Kindly received. We were allowed to choose whether we wanted to sit in the play area (we were with a 5-year-old child) and then had excellent service and food. Exactly what you hope for on a night out for dinner. The kitchen works with regional products and there is palpable passion for food and drinks. Vegan was also no problem. If we are ever in the area again, we would love to eat there again.

We went to celebrate the SPRING FESTIVAL with 20 people. Very well organised! Delicious regional dishes that were served with the necessary information about what we were going to eat at Elke Torenrecht again. Very tasty and enough! Dessert was delicious.. Highly recommended 👍 👌

Ate here for the 4th time, always something different, last time the fish was delicious And the mixed dessert is also a treat. very nice service, lots of special beers and nice wine. We brought different friends each time and everyone was enthusiastic. We will definitely come back

Zeer gastvrij ontvangen en heerlijk gegeten met groep van ruim 20 personen. We hebben genoten van het puzzel menu met een ruime keuze van heerlijke biertjes.

The four of us went for dinner (two adults and two children) and we enjoyed it. The welcome was warm. Because half portions of all dishes can be ordered, children can also eat a healthy meal (something different from a pancake), with a lot of choice in vegan dishes (which also taste delicious). And an explanation about the local ingredients is nice, you notice that they have a lot of passion for it.

What a nice restaurant with beautiful and tasty dishes this is. Every dish was very tasty and prepared with care, down to the last detail. The variety of different beers was also great. The fact that half portions for the small eater were also half price increased the festive spirit. It was also nice that you could order fries, mayonnaise and salad free of charge. So you never have to leave here hungry.

We had a wonderful meal at the Hofkaemer with our little 1-year-old girl! Owners/staff were very friendly, told us about the food (and origin of products) and the food itself was incredibly tasty! Portions were just right, but you could order additional fries and vegetables without any extra costs. Where the bad reviews come from is really a mystery to us, we had a great evening and will definitely come back!!

My family and I visited from England towards the end of our holiday in nearby Der Kamperveenen. Bergeijk is such a beautiful little town that we discovered by accident on a bike ride. I can't speak highly enough of de Hofkaemer restaurant. The food was amazing. The service wonderful, prices completely reasonable. and the knowledge of the local produce was fascinating. The owners came out and spoke to us to offer brilliant advice on the menu. They were such lovely people and we had fantastic beers and soft drinks choices. My two teenage boys(14 & 17) both found this a real highlight of our holiday. The mains and desserts were literally some of the best food I'd ever had. The whole experience was top class and would definitely return when next in the Netherlands. We ate some good food in the locality of the Kamperveenen center park but if I had to recommend one place it would definitely be this restaurant. Thanks for an amazing dining experience in your beautiful picture perfect little Dutch town.

Uitstekend! Shared dining, in 1 woord zalig. Echt leuke en smakelijke hapjes waarvan de herkomst ook nog eens uit de streek komen. Tijdens het serveren wordt ook uitgelegd waar vandaan. Kom je hier in de buurt dan moet je dit zeker doen.

Had a delicious meal last night! 6-course tasting. Half portion due to stomach reduction. All possible there. The cook will personally serve you and tell you what is on your plate and where it comes from. We enjoyed it immensely! Every dish was equally tasty! Price, quality more than good. The surprise of our holiday in the Netherlands: so many tasteful fresh food! The cook and her husband (explaining every regional course they served) made a very tasteful menu to chare and served fine beers (a great choice!). There was fish, meat. soups und special desserts. All excellent of taste. Thanks for this experience!!

Just had dinner at the hofkaemer in Bergeijk.... We looked at the reviews in advance and thought well this must be fine... unfortunately! Food was dry and tasteless and the fish was smelly! Together we had to share 1 bag of fries and half a teaspoon of mayo. We also fell backwards when paying. My advice is don't go there! I hope we don't get food poisoning from it...

Bad experience, the pork medallions did not taste fresh and very dry. All in all too expensive for what you get. Not satisfied with this

Very disappointing experience. The food was like the interior: old and worn out in the sense of tasteless, dry. The food did not look, taste or smell fresh. Expensive for what you get on your plate. Not even worthy of 1 star. You'll never see me here again.

Chose the tasting of regional dishes with 2 people. Delicious and surprising 4-course dinner. Each course is explained by one of the owners about what it is and where it comes from. My wife enjoyed a red and white house wine of excellent quality. I could choose from a very wide range of regional beers. The untappd score has been increased again. A nice detail is that the beer mat is adjusted to the beer you drink.

The food is honest, pure and tasty. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable about what they serve. The extensive beer menu (more than 90 beers) also has something for everyone. Unfortunately, when the weather is nice, the speed of service on the terrace leaves much to be desired. After 20 minutes our order was taken, after another 20 minutes we left, because until then only the free carafe of water had been brought.

Per toeval hier terecht gekomen. Wat een sfeer. Het eten was verrukkelijk, en wat mij heel fijn was dat ik een kleine portie kon vragen zodat ik eindelijk ook een van de bijgerechten kon genieten. Wat het ook bijzonder maakte was dat ze bijna alleen streekproducten gebruiken. Geen poespas! Zeker een aanrader, wij komen in iedergeval zeker een keer terug.

Authentieke sfeer, betrokken en zeer vriendelijk personeel, eigenaar met hart voor de zaak, vrijwel alle producten komen uit de omgeving van Bergeijk zelf! Goede koffie en taart van bakkers uit de buurt.

Super lekker gegeten met een grote groep; genoten van het 6-gangen streekmenu met alles erop en eraan. De bediening was erg meedenkend en had veel kennis over alle gerechten en drankjes. Hele fijne avond gehad en zeker een aanrader :)

Heerlijk eten, vriendelijk en attent personeel! De eigenaren hebben duidelijk een passie die ze uitstralen en waar ze met liefde over vertellen aan de tafel. De hele sfeer is relaxed, maar het eten straalt sterrenrestaurant uit. Ook nog een prachtige selectie speciaalbier waarover de nodige kennis aanwezig is. Mocht je in de buurt zijn, wil je dit niet missen.

Daarnaast is er veel lekker speciaal bier uit de omstreek (genoeg om te combineren met je eten). De bediening is super vriendelijk en gezellig, veel kennis en plezier in wat ze doen. En als je wil weten welk biertje bij je eten past dan staan ze paraat om je te helpen. Wat een toptent! Aanrader voor iedereen! Lekker 6 gangen en een goed aantal speciaal bier op en dat voor een zeer schappelijke prijs!

Als groep van 9 personen hadden we een proeverij van streekgerechten. Zeer smaakvol. Er werd goed rekening gehouden met allergieën waardoor degene gewoon mee kon doen en ook apartere gerechtjes kreeg dan de standaard. Rustig qua tempo werd er geserveerd. Zeer vriendelijke bediening.

Op het moment zitten we er nog, maar kon niet wachten om deze mensen 5 sterren te geven. Biefstuk, zo mals heb ik ze zelden gehad, fantastisch! Ook de varkenshaas medaillons en de carpaccio vooraf waren voortreffelijk. Ik weet niet wat jullie geheim is, maar verander het niet. Mvg

Enkel drankje genomen. Heel vriendelijk en attent een karaf water en glazen met muntblaadjes, welke bruin waren (niet vers) e een heel verbleekt schijfje citroen onderin. Dan kun je deze attentie beter niet geven.

Wij kregen een heel persoonlijke vriendelijke ontvangst. Hele attente service. Een leuke verrassende kaart met heerlijkheden. Niet te grote porties, je kunt wel altijd wat friet of brood bij vragen. Leuk concept met veel streekgerechten voor een redelijke prijs. Wij hebben gesmuld!

Hier in onze vakantie gaan eten met drie kinderen. Speelhoek mag wat aandacht krijgen. Eten is super. Met liefde en aandacht is het menu samengesteld en ook uitgelegd. Ook als veganist kun je hier terecht. Superfijn.

Ze onderscheiden zich daar door vrijwel uitsluitend met producten uit de streek te werken en de liefde voor het vak straalt er vanaf. Wij kozen uit het 3-gangen keuzemenu van de maand juni (28,50) en kregen meer dan waar voor ons geld. Een echte aanrader!

Gewoon goed en lekker eten. Leuk dat elk gerecht bestaat uit ingrediënten van plaatselijke leveranciers. En een zeer uitgebreide bierkaart.

Lekker eten van lokale producten!!

Wat een gierig gedoe. Kwart plakje ham op je uitsmijter. Normaal bruin brood, niets speciaals aan. Vieze bende op het terras. Als je alles wilt tonen, zorg dan ook dat het schoon is.

Heel gezellige huiskamer sfeer met heerlijke gerechten gemaakt van producten uit de streek , recht van de boer , teler en productie. Lieve bediening.. kortom een heerlijke plek. Oja de bierkaart is inmens groot😉

Toevallig hier aan komen waaien na een tochtje op de racefiets. Zeer vriendelijk geholpen en overheerlijk appelgebak gegeten met een goed bakkie koffie.

Een plankje met een paar dungesneden worstjes en blokjes kaas voor €9,- was echt magertjes.

Gelijk een fles water en drinken daar na kwamen ze vragen voor eten was ook prima

Een bijzonder intiem restaurant dat alleen streekproducten gebruikt. Perfecte kennis waar alle producten vandaan komen bij de eigenaar en zijn vrouw. Bijzonder goed gegeten en waard om eens voor om te rijden.
